Frank OceanI'm sure this is someone's cup of tea but it isn't mine. That being said, I did enjoy some songs on the album but every time I felt it was going in the right direction it veered wildly off course. 2.5/5

8/10. Very good alternative album
3.5 stars. I do not generally listen to rap albums but I might start after this album. Great rhymes but the lack of a good hook drops the score from 4 to 3.5 stars.
Great storytelling and songwriting. Classical country album unfortunately just not for me
3.8. Muddy Waters voice and guitar work on the album are fantastic.
This album was just a fun listen. Super catchy beats and lyrics
4.5 stars. The album is well put together. Marvin Gaye is a fantastic artist.
3.85 stars. Great soul album
Not a huge fan of this type of music. The album felt somewhat repetitive. While the jazz feel of the album was great the fast paced nature of the songs felt out of place
Disclaimer: Clowns were hurt in the making of this album Positives: I understand what the band were trying to do with this album. It's definitely out of the box and very creative. Negatives: The first song is very creepy. I get the feeling of impending doom from the rest of the album. It tries very hard to be creative but misses the mark. Just when you think it's getting good it beers wildly off course. Also why are there so many clown horns?
Very funky album Positives: The album is well written with infectious grooves. Many songs are very catchy and enjoyable Negatives: The first half of the album feels very monotonous and the lyrics are superficial
Pros: For an album released in the 50s, the qualityia decent and Sarah Vaughan voice is really good Negatives: The album is a tad bit long
Pros: The album came out in 1972 and you can hear that this album clearly played a role in many later released glam rock albums. Cons: The lead singers voice is not my cup of tea as there is plenty of screaming on the album. The major issue I have with the album though are the terrible and unimaginative lyrics.
His voice is a bit jarring at first but once you get into the album, his voice matters less and less
This album was great from start to finish.
3.5 stars. The album has a strangely relaxing vibe to it. The issue is the album is far too long. After around the 40 min mark the album becomes a little boring to listen to.
This album sounds like what I imagine the 80s sounded like. The album comes off as very generic with most of the songs sounding like copies of other more popular songs which came before. The rap aspects of the album also fall flat, however I still enjoyed the songs. The lyrics on the album are also unimaginative
This album is the best live album I've listened to. Sam Cooke's enthusiasm is infectious and it's difficult not to tap your feet to the beat. The album is also only +- 35 mins long
Really good instrumentals. Very well put together record.
The first song on this album is quite generic. After the first song, the album gets better. The vocals are grating at times, however it does not take away from the music itself. This album is also strangely nostalgic
A classic for a reason. Great guitar work
This album is quite creative in its genre bending nature. The lyrics are also quite interesting and provocative. I'm not a huge fan of the piano and flutes on this album as the piano and flutes sound out of place with the vocals.
I enjoyed the unconventional and bizarre second song on this album (The Gift). A lot of this album is just noise with much of the album being experimental just for the sake of being experimental. The final song 's themes are a bit.... interesting to say the least.
4.5 stars. I am slightly biased as I have been a Moby fan for quite some time. I enjoyed many of the songs on this album. I deducted 0.5 stars as there is ambient songs here and there that feel like filler.
I just found out that I am a fan of Joni Mitchell. The story telling on this album is amazing and it's a great blend of jazz and folk. 4.5 stars
For an album called "The Soul Machine" there's very little soul. Cee Lo's voice is also high pitched and that makes the album a difficult listen
Very upbeat album which I enjoyed.
Very dreamy album. I honestly couldn't hear the lyrics but it didn't matter
This album is wonderfully chaotic. Most of the songs sound the same, however, I enjoyed the upbeat choas of the album
The best way to describe this album is it's like sitting in a log cabin in the woods during a rainstorm, looking out the window, and overthinking about all those failed relationships.
Very enjoyable album
The album starts of with catchy beats. Mr Brightside has always been a great song in my opinion and one many people have on their playlists. The issue with this album is that it stays the same throughout with little to no change in style. The lyrics also get quite difficult to listen to. 3.5 stars
On my first listen of this album I couldn't really hear the lyrics and didn't really appreciate them. When I listened through the album again and listened to the lyrics, I realised just how amazing this album is. Not only are the instrumentals and vocals great, the lyrics are complex and thought provoking. I went to many emotions as I listened to the album.
This album is alternative and a great listen
The lyrics of this song are amazing. It's like listening to poetry. Dylans voice isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and I enjoyed it much more than I thought. It losses a point because of that damn harmonica.
It's not a bad album by any means but it doesn't do anything new or exciting
The lyrics in this album are terrible. The album only has 2 great songs on it and the rest feels like filler.
Not what I was expecting at all. The album is experimental and flows nicely. It's just a little too long
I have a copy of this album on CD and used to listen to it all the time when it came out. The songs are super catchy and the vocals are great. I subtracted one point as the album did not have a huge influence on music in general
If I could capture the early 2000s in a bottle, this is what it would sound like. Christina has an amazing voice and it really shines on the slower tracks on this album. I didn't really enjoy the faster tracks. 3.5/5
The album felt like listening to elevator music. The music got very repetitive and the album was veryong at 1hr and 14 mins
Amazing album with amazing guitar work. Super upbeat
This album feels bloated. Most of the album is forgettable and inoffensive. Just a bit bland for my taste.
I appreciate the impact that this album has had. The album is amazing musically and Charles has an amazing voice but I don't enjoy the bluesy nature of the album. Yes the album is very creative and interesting but I just cannot get into it. It sounds like a product of the time it was made and it's a little outdated. 3.5/5
This album is amazing. Proud Mary has always been a great song and the rest of the album is great too
This album is prog rock at its finest. Each song is complex and the lyrics are dense
The album has some interesting songs on it most of which are really catchy. The album does become monotonous after a while.
This album is one of the greatest albums of all time
The lyrics on this album are terrible. Snoop also carries the album. I'm giving it a three for the beats
This may not be everyone's cup of tea but it certainly is mine. I like the experimental sound of the album and the overall creativity. It's a strange album in the best way possible.
I enjoyed the music on this album but I can't get around the lead singers voice which I don't enjoy.
Not my cup of tea. It felt repetitive and very high energy. I was exhausted by the midpoint of the album
This is completely different to what the generator has been giving me so far. It's a welcome change and it's good to see representation from Africa. The album is also creative with its instrumentals and vocals. 3.5/5
I had expectations for this album. I feel the album has a great concept but it gets a bit repetitive. I'm also not the biggest fan of how much Electronica is in this album.
Basically everything you want from a punk album. Chaotic and messy. Just docking a point for the length of the album
It's a good album with some dated lyrics
This album is both punk and psychedelic in the best way. It's weird and chaotic. Some songs drone and the guitar is muffled. I enjoyed it for it's weirdness.
I did not think I would enjoy Cash's talking style of singing but it works really well with his style of music. The album is melancholy and emotive.
Very upbeat album. I found it an enjoyable listen
Another stellar and creative album from Radiohead
Dylan is great storyteller and lyricist. I enjoyed some songs on this album but for the album was too long and it became tedious to listen to at times. 3.5/5
This is the perfect album for a Friday. 4/5 because the album becomes somewhat repetitive.
This album is a prog lovers dream. Every song is complex lyrically and musically. It's just very long and so it gets a bit tired after some time.
I'm sure this is someone's cup of tea but it isn't mine. That being said, I did enjoy some songs on the album but every time I felt it was going in the right direction it veered wildly off course. 2.5/5
One of my favorite albums from one of my favorite bands. Super original and creative.
I enjoyed this album quite a bit. There are quite a few catchy tracks on the album.
I unfortunately could only find the first 5 tracks on this album. Most streaming services did not have the album so I had to resort to listening to the live version of some of the tracks. Based on what I did listen to, I feel the album is a little bit too weird for my taste. Rock lobster is an absolute gem though.
This album sounds like the theme music to a 90s sitcom
This album was awesomely creative and weird. It was strangely introspective as well
I cannot believe I'm giving a rap album this rating but here we are
Chrissie Hynde has one of the best voices I've heard. This is a great album
Muddy Waters is an exceptional blues mucisian. This album is great for a live album, my only issue is that it becomes repetitive.
Chaotic but brilliant
Most of the lyrics are dated. The album seems to be written in the name of being edgy. That said, Angels and Let Me Entertain You carry the album.
Adele has an amazing voice. There are so many hits on this album. It's one of the better pop albums out there.
The guitar work on this album is amazing. This album is amazing musically.
Not sure why this album is on the top 1000 list but it's easy listening. Each song flows into the next so you lose track of which song you're on. Overall not a bad album but nothing amazing.
The first few songs felt like they were missing something but then the album hit it's stride.
This is one of the best prog rock albums of all time
Each song on this album feels like 3 different songs in one. A buy one get two free kind of deal. 4/5 Since the guitar is amazing on this album
The guitar on this album is amazing. The bluesy sounds on the tracks are a little hit or miss for me but man when it hits, it hits hard. Easy 4/5
This album has some amazing beats and funk. There are some great songs on this record (see the message and it's a shame) but there's also some unremarkable tracks too.
This record is very different to what I normally expect from The Beatles. This album has none of their most well known hits but it's still great.
"Uh Yeah, Uh Yeah, Uh yeah" 👌
The hits on this album (walking on the moon and message in a bottle) are amazing but what surprised me the most was the other songs on the album.
Stevie Wonder is just a master of his craft
I've been recently into guitar heavy songs with crazy guitar solos. I was under the impression that what I was listening to is very heavy and I must admit, I felt rather cool but this album makes me realise that I was listening to some light music. While the guitar is great, I am now dealing with a headache that I did not have when I started the album.
