Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Aug 12 2025

Way better than that era usually offers. The entire album has aged gracefully and there isn't a single bad song on it.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Aug 13 2025

I feel like I'll regret the rating I've given it today, but I definitely see why this album is legendary. Love the flute work, and I love how it feels like the sound of each song gets more and more complex as the album reaches its conclusion.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Aug 14 2025

Closer to a jazz album than a rock album. Not my style of music but I can understand those who like it.

War by U2
Aug 15 2025

Not my type of music. While I understand the album is iconic, it feels like they had 2-3 great songs and decided that should be enough to carry the album.

Aug 18 2025

I only really knew the Arctic Monkeys for their major hits, and never gave their catalogue a listen. It's a shame I hadn't done that, because this album is an absolute banger. Top to bottom, it really reminds me of that mid 2000's garage rock scene. The best album I've listened to so far.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Aug 19 2025

Damn right what an album. I know Bob Dylan is hugely influential, but this album does an excellent job of introducing you to his work. The guys voice isn't all that bad, and it's probably the best songwriting of its time.

Here, My Dear by Marvin Gaye
Aug 20 2025

If Frank Ocean was in the 60s/70s. This album was funky, it was beautiful, and it was even sad. The only critique I have for leaving it as a four star is album length, some songs go on for too long, and some tracks haven't aged well, may be to a production issue. Otherwise, incredible singing, lyrics, and grooves.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Aug 21 2025

I absolutely despise the 90s style of singing the type of over enunciation that was in vogue at the time. In spite of that, this album genuinely has too many incredible songs for 2 or 3 bad ones to weigh it down.

The Bends by Radiohead
Aug 22 2025

I swear, every single modern sad white boi act, whether it be solo or a group, must take at the very least some inspiration from this album. It's a terrific album, but it's not the genre I'm in love with.

Kid A by Radiohead
Aug 25 2025
Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Aug 26 2025

It's a 5, an absolute must listen for anyone. It's funky, soulful, expressive, and intelligent, all without being an easy listen. The only minor complaint I would have is the sex noises strewn about, but considering the themes, aesthetic, and overall tone of the album, they don't detract or distract much.

Copper Blue by Sugar
Aug 27 2025

It's not my genre of preference, but it's totally fine. I don't feel it had anything groundbreaking on the album, and the vocals felt flat. Overall, totally acceptable grunge punk album.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Aug 28 2025

Other than the introductions between songs, I love this album. Smooth Jazz? Hell yeah I want more smooth Jazz after listening to this album.

evermore by Taylor Swift
Aug 29 2025

I don't like contemporary, and I'm not a big T Swizzle guy, but this is still a fun album. Definitely get a Chicks vibe from it, and it definitely is Taylor's best work this decade.

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Sep 15 2025

What an album, I did not expect to love every minute of listening, but good golly did I ever. Terrible band name, but banger music.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Sep 16 2025

I only really tolerated this album. It felt like 3/4 of the time, someone was screaming directly in my ear drum.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Sep 19 2025

This album made me realize why people reacted positively to gangsta rap. The lyrics here are corny ( hat, cat, bag, etc.) and the beats aren't good enough to cover for that.

Abraxas by Santana
Sep 23 2025

Literally listened to this in my dad's car growing up. Pure nostalgia.

Dookie by Green Day
Sep 24 2025
Berlin by Lou Reed
Oct 01 2025

I don't often rate anything this low, but I was already struggling to enjoy this album when I was startled by the screams of a baby. I understand this style of music (lyrical) is and was super influential to music, but this album was a slog to get through.
