Slippery When Wet
Bon JoviWay better than that era usually offers. The entire album has aged gracefully and there isn't a single bad song on it.

I feel like I'll regret the rating I've given it today, but I definitely see why this album is legendary. Love the flute work, and I love how it feels like the sound of each song gets more and more complex as the album reaches its conclusion.
Closer to a jazz album than a rock album. Not my style of music but I can understand those who like it.
Not my type of music. While I understand the album is iconic, it feels like they had 2-3 great songs and decided that should be enough to carry the album.
I only really knew the Arctic Monkeys for their major hits, and never gave their catalogue a listen. It's a shame I hadn't done that, because this album is an absolute banger. Top to bottom, it really reminds me of that mid 2000's garage rock scene. The best album I've listened to so far.
Damn right what an album. I know Bob Dylan is hugely influential, but this album does an excellent job of introducing you to his work. The guys voice isn't all that bad, and it's probably the best songwriting of its time.
If Frank Ocean was in the 60s/70s. This album was funky, it was beautiful, and it was even sad. The only critique I have for leaving it as a four star is album length, some songs go on for too long, and some tracks haven't aged well, may be to a production issue. Otherwise, incredible singing, lyrics, and grooves.
I absolutely despise the 90s style of singing the type of over enunciation that was in vogue at the time. In spite of that, this album genuinely has too many incredible songs for 2 or 3 bad ones to weigh it down.
I swear, every single modern sad white boi act, whether it be solo or a group, must take at the very least some inspiration from this album. It's a terrific album, but it's not the genre I'm in love with.
It's a 5, an absolute must listen for anyone. It's funky, soulful, expressive, and intelligent, all without being an easy listen. The only minor complaint I would have is the sex noises strewn about, but considering the themes, aesthetic, and overall tone of the album, they don't detract or distract much.
