Tidal by Fiona Apple

This is one of the best albums of all time, and certainly one of the best debuts of all time. I first heard this album about 8 years ago, and it has never left my rotation since. It is without a doubt one of my all time favorites. There was so much controversy surrounding Fiona Apple and what the industry wanted her to be when this came out, but the music speaks for itself. It's poetic, genre defining, edgy, poppy, dark, and just beautiful in every way. Shadowboxer is one of my top 5 songs of all time. This album, and Fiona Apple in general, deserve way more recognition. Top Songs: Shadowboxer, Sleep to Dream, The First Taste, Carrion, Criminal

Talking Timbuktu by Ali Farka Touré

This is a cool sound and a fun album overall. The songs definitely blend together but I liked it. Good background music for working!

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits

The song from Robots !! I honestly liked this album a lot more than I expected. Really creative and interesting sounds. At its best when it is jazzy and funky. I love the percussion sound and the themes of loneliness and isolation. I would explore more of his music. Top Songs: Underground, Johnsburg, Illinois, Swordfishtrombone

If I wanted to hear an angry freak yell at me about nothing, I’d just take my headphones out on the subway. Fuck Kanye and his fans.

Medúlla by Björk

Those who get it, get it. And if you don’t get it, you need to expand your definition of music. Björk’s vision is singular and unique, and while this isn’t my favorite of her albums, this album puts her individuality on full display. Almost entirely made using only vocals, but it never loses your attention. It rises and falls like a heartbeat and syncopates with your brain in a perfect way. Just amazing, per usual! Top Songs: Where is the Line, Who Is It, Oceania, Mouth’s Cradle, Desired Constellation, Triumph of a Heart

Who's Next by The Who
Dec 09 2025

Great, classic songs but overall not my cup of tea! Top Songs: Baba O'Riley, Behind Blue Eyes

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Dec 10 2025

Such a classic, so many fun songs and interesting ones I didn’t know. This sound never gets old and his voice sounds great. Top Songs: No More Trouble, Concrete Jungle, Stir It Up

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Dec 11 2025

Cool sound just not my thing

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Dec 12 2025

Liked it way more than I thought it would. Such a cool sound and really defines classic rock. Top Songs: The Battle of Evermore, Four Sticks

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Dec 13 2025

I knew some of these already but loved it all together. Such a creative and ahead of its time sound. Top Songs: Broken, Head Over Heels / Broken

Dec 14 2025

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed a lot of the songs on here. It's a very long album and not all of them were for me, but so many great hits and deep cuts I didn't know. So many different interesting sounds and clashing styles. A fun listening experience, even if not my type of musics. Top Songs: Pink & Blue, Spread, Dracula's Wedding, Roses

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Dec 15 2025

Really cool album. I liked this much more than I expected to. Really pioneered this sound and I could see myself listening to this again. Love how cinematic it is.

Ramones by Ramones
Dec 16 2025

1 or 2 songs that I enjoyed but found the sound so repetitive and 1 note. Not sure why this is considered such a classic. Top Songs: Blitzkrieg Bop

Dec 17 2025

I really like the new wave sound, and a lot of these songs are great and very fun. I would listen again. That said, there were a lot of moments that weren’t very cohesive and i wanted to skip through. Top Songs: Come Back Jonee, Gut Feeling

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Dec 18 2025

Such an amazing album! So many great songs on here. The songwriting is excellent and the different styles and sounds they use here bring it to the next level. Are there some skips? Yes, but overall an amazing listening experience. Less points for how long it is. Top Songs: I Don't Believe in the Sun, Papa Was a Rodeo, All My Little Words, I Don't Want to Get Over You, Come Back From San Francisco

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Dec 19 2025

For me, this was nearly as good as LZIV. A couple great songs on here but the rest were not for me. Top Songs: Ramble On

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Dec 20 2025

I really liked some of these songs, and I really lime Neil Young as an artist. But I wasn’t blown away by this album in general. The sound is cohesive but not my favorite. Top Songs: Cinnamon Girl, Round & Round (It Won't Be Long)

Really bad. Not for the masses. I can appreciate free form jazz as a form of expression, but it just sounds terrible. Absolutely should not be on this list. Very hard to listen.

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Dec 22 2025

This an album I have tried to listen to before without success. A lot of noise and distortion, and I love shoegaze and dream pop music so this should be my type of album. It's just a bit too hard rock for me where I prefer a softer sound. That being said, I overall enjoyed the album on this listen more than I expected and certain songs really stood out that I would love to listen to again. I do see why this album has so much hype. Top Songs: When You Sleep, Sometimes, What You Want

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Dec 23 2025

Really liked this album, much more than I expected. Such a cool blend of jazz, funk, and rock. It definitely started to blend together at the end a bit, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. Top Songs: Peaches En Regalia, Willie The Pimp

Really loved this album. I had listened to her music before, but most of this album was new to me. I like a bunch of the songs. Definitely some were stronger than others. Overall such an amazing and influential country sound and record. Top Songs: Don’t Come Home a Drinkin’, I Really Don’t Want to Know, I Can’t Keep Away From You

Back In Black by AC/DC
Dec 25 2025

Obviously this album has some classic rock hits on it, but overall I was not very impressed. There is a reason the couple hits are the only well known songs. They sound the same on every song, the scream singing gets old quickly, and lyrically nothing special. But the hits make it better. Top Songs: Hell’s Bells, You Shook Me All Night Long

Dec 26 2025

A lot of Christmas classics. I love the old sound and definitely some of the best holiday songs ever on here. All fun overall, but nothing amazing. Top Songs: White Christmas, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Dec 27 2025

I enjoyed this, but wasn’t anything amazing. The first couple songs were strongest and then it went downhill a bit. Maybe too ambient sounding for me, but a nice album overall. Top Songs: Under the Pressure, Red Eyes

Young Americans by David Bowie
Dec 28 2025

I wanted to like this album more than I did. Definitely some great Bowie songs on here and new ones I liked. But I wasn’t overly impressed with any of them truthfully. Might need another listen to appreciate more. Top Songs: Young Americans, Someone Up There Likes Me

Dec 29 2025

Re-listened on 4/16: 3 -> 4 This album has such a strong and cohesive sound, and it has a cathartic energy. Thematically too, the album is very powerful and important. It’s not for everyone, but it hits so hard in the moments it needs to. Love is a genius lyrically and doesn’t hold back here at all. You know who she is and what she stands for in these songs. It’s not perfect but the emotion is unmatched. Top Songs: Doll Parts, Softer, Softest, Violet, Plump, I Think That I Would Die

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Dec 31 2025

I really love their sound and the 80s pop synth vibe. Big fan of some of their other music. This album didn’t exactly stand out to me with any specific tracks, but started strong! Top Songs: Never Let Me Down Again, Strangelove

Jan 01 2026

If I wanted to hear an angry freak yell at me about nothing, I’d just take my headphones out on the subway. Fuck Kanye and his fans.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Jan 02 2026

Similar to Loveless, I liked this album more than I expected to - maybe even more than Loveless. It has more downtempo songs with catchier hooks. Especially the middle of the album stood out to me with songs I felt I would listen to again. Still a bit more distortion than I like in my music, but better than I thought! Top Songs: if i am, new you, only tomorrow

Jan 03 2026

I really enjoy The Kinks! Very much like an alternative early Beatles, although never reached the same creative levels. This album had a lot of fun songs I enjoyed but I wasn’t crazy about it! Top Songs: Big Sky, Village Green, Starstruck

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits
Jan 04 2026

The song from Robots !! I honestly liked this album a lot more than I expected. Really creative and interesting sounds. At its best when it is jazzy and funky. I love the percussion sound and the themes of loneliness and isolation. I would explore more of his music. Top Songs: Underground, Johnsburg, Illinois, Swordfishtrombone

Legalize It by Peter Tosh
Jan 05 2026

Wow I loved this album! Was not familiar with Peter Tosh or much reggae at all, but I could already see myself listening again and exploring more of his solo music/with The Wailers. Such a great sound and easy listening, but there is a message behind the music too which adds even more. Great one! Top Songs: Legalize It, Burial, Ketchy Shuby, Brand New Second Hand

The Specials by The Specials
Jan 06 2026

A couple songs on here that I really liked, but as a whole, the album started to blend together and I was ready for it to be done by the end. I do like the sound a lot, and love this ska vibe they really pioneered, but as a whole this wasn’t a standout for me.

Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers
Jan 07 2026

This is an awesome album! Enjoyed this way more than I expected. Made me want to dance and move when I was sitting at my desk working. Put it on later to hype myself up. People hate on electronic/dance music and act like it’s just noise, but you can hear how well crafted every song and beat is on here. Loved it! Top Songs: Elektrobank, Piku, Dig Your Own Hold

Let's Get Killed by David Holmes
Jan 08 2026

Nothing amazing. I really like the way he incorporated recorded sounds and conversations from New York into the music and gave it a very cinematic feel. As a trip-hop album I thought it was cool overall, but not something I would be dying to listen to again. But overall a good sound. Top Songs: Gritty Shaker, Let’s Get Killed, Radio 7”

I thought this was an interesting album, but at the same time not very memorable. Definitely has a Prince/80s pop sound that is fun, but without ever breaking through to being super catchy or impactful. Wishing Well was definitely a standout and I think I’ve heard it before. Otherwise I can’t say it blew me away. Top Songs: Wishing Well, Let’s Go Forward

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Jan 10 2026

Obviously a classic and so influential to rock/blues music in so many ways. I’ve heard this album before and definitely think it’s solid. Just overall not my favorite type of music and nothing on here that I really love. But great overall. Top Songs: Love Her Madly, L.A Woman

evermore by Taylor Swift
Jan 11 2026

As someone who has never been a fan of Taylor Swift really at all, besides a few of her songs here and there, I was surprised by how much I liked this album. When she doesn't insist on charting or having the biggest pop song in the world, she can actually write some great folk/alt songs, as she proved on this and Folklore. I think the album is a bit too long and the songs start to blend together in the back half, but some really standout songs on here that I would listen to again. Top Songs: willow, no body, no crime, evermore

Jan 12 2026

Just incredible! Heard so much of this before but never all the way through. It just keeps getting better and better. Kurt's vocals are so full of pain and torment and it elevates their sound to another level, with each song so full of heart and emotion. The guitars are so clear and sound amazing. I have to go 5 because this is a cohesive listening experience and sequence and I wouldn't skip or delete a single song. Perfectly executed. Top Songs: About a Girl, Come As You Are, The Man Who Sold the World, Dumb, Lake of Fire

Jan 13 2026

Another album I was surprised to like more than I expected. Lyrically, it’s pretty meaningless, but the beats are always fun. I’ve never listened to this type of music before and while it’s still not what I would normally go to, I enjoyed some songs was more than expected. Top Songs: C.R.E.A.M, Can It All Be So Simple, Tearz

Hms Fable by Shack
Jan 14 2026

Very forgettable, no standouts or desire to listen again. Sad to think of all the amazing albums this took the place of.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Jan 15 2026

I love this album so much! Truly has some of the best songs of the 70s on here, and there is no doubt this is one of the most influential and important post-Beatles works. The signature slide guitar of George Harrison sounds so good here and the lyrics are beautiful. However, this is a very long album with a lot of material that I don’t think adds to it. Would go back to listen to 2/3 of these songs any time! Top songs: I’d Have You Any Time, My Sweet Lord, Wah-Wah, What is Life, Let It Down, Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp

xx by The xx
Jan 16 2026

Great chill album with calm beats. It is very of its era and doesn’t have much re-listening value for me, but some songs I did enjoy. Top Songs: Infinity, Crystalised, Islands

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Jan 17 2026

Just not for me. Dissociated while listening mostly.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Jan 18 2026

Objectively, they are extremely talented musicians. Clearly pioneered jam music in a lot of ways and I can respect that. As an album, it was just so long and the instrumental periods were felt so long. Was ready for it to end and unlikely to relisten.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Jan 19 2026

This was interesting! I enjoyed listening but nothing exactly stood out to me. Feels slightly overrated as far as electronic, downbeat music goes. But a good listen overall and would revisit.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Jan 20 2026

What an album! I knew a lot of these songs, but there were a lot of new ones to that I had never heard, but loved! Just such incredible 80s pop but still so timeless. An amazing album. Top Songs: Bad, Smooth Criminal, Leave Me Alone, Another Part of Me

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Jan 21 2026

I’m definitely not the target demographic for this album, but it just wasn’t for me. Can appreciate it as a classic for rap music, but I would not revisit. The famous songs are great and famous for a reason, otherwise very bloated album with unnecessary interludes. Top Songs: Big Poppa, Juicy, Respect, Just Playing (Dreams)

Jan 22 2026

This did absolutely nothing for me. So 2000s - this sound has not aged well. Wouldn’t listen again.

Shake Your Money Maker by The Black Crowes
Jan 23 2026

This started out pretty mediocre but some of the songs grew on me and would relisten. Overall not very exciting. Top Songs: Hard to Handle, She Talks to Angels

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Jan 24 2026

Just not very exciting to me. My third Led Zeppelin album on the list, and least favorite so far. Still a classic album for a reason but not something I need to revisit personally. Just really tired of this sound. Top Songs: Dazed and Confused, Black Mountain Side

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Jan 25 2026

This was awesome! Liked it way more than I expected. It was cohesive with a sound and point of view, but not repetitive. Guitar and vocals sounded great and made me want to explore more of their music. Top Songs: One More Hour, Things You Say, Dance Song ‘97

Abbey Road by Beatles
Jan 26 2026

Just perfect! No much else to be said. It's a masterpiece and the perfect conclusion to The Beatles. Top Songs: Something, I Want You (She's So Heavy), Because, Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight

Low by David Bowie
Jan 27 2026

This was an interesting album and very different from the type of Bowie I have heard in the past! It's a cool sound and much more lowkey and ambient that usual. I enjoyed it, but nothing really stood out for me. I would revisit though. Top Songs: Speed of Life, Sound and Vision, Be My Wife

Chelsea Girl by Nico
Jan 28 2026

Struggling with rating this one because it has two of my absolute favorite songs (The Fairest of the Season, These Days) and I love her voice and singing style, but as a whole I don’t think it’s such a great album. Was surprised by some other songs I didn’t know but liked a lot (Chelsea Girls, I’ll Keep it With Mine). Just wish the production was overall stronger and cut down in places. Might revisit as a whole. Top Songs: The Fairest of the Season, These Days, Chelsea Girls, I’ll Keep it With Mine

Transformer by Lou Reed
Jan 29 2026

It’s not a perfect album, but it’s undeniable how many great and influential songs there are on here. Many of my favorite from the era. It’s original, transgressive, and music that won’t get old. He was way ahead of his time in so many ways. Top songs: Perfect Day, Andy’s Chest, Walk on the Wild Side, Satellite of Love

At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Jan 30 2026

This was a fun album! Very classic blues sound and can hear the influence on so much of rock music. Top Songs: I Got My Brand On You, I’ve Got My Mojo

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Jan 31 2026

Not a fan! Not unlistenable, but just truly not my type of music and not sure why it’s so well regarded.

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba
Feb 01 2026

This was a very cool album and I'm really happy I know about her as an artist now. She has a beautiful voice and all of these songs are beautifully done. Nothing blew me away, but this is certainly a classic of world music. Would revisit. Top Songs: The Retreat Song, The Click Song, Olilili, Mbube

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Feb 02 2026

Had heard this before! I really like Pink Moon but I will say things started to blend together a bit after that, and nothing really stood out. I think I need to re-listen and pay closer attention. Love his voice and the style in general. Top Songs: Pink Moon

Melodrama by Lorde
Feb 03 2026

Never considered myself a major Lorde fan, and of course I’ve heard this album before, but it really just is so good. Every song has a point and a place, with its own vision. It really is just perfect. Top Songs: Green Light, Sober, Writer in the Dark, Supercut

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Feb 04 2026

Some great songs and moments on here. Love the country/blues sound and of course love his voice. Personally, I prefer his later stuff when it got deeper and out of the short blues tunes era, but still a strong and historically important album. Top Songs: Folsom Prison Blues, Cocaine Blues, Jackson

You Are The Quarry by Morrissey
Feb 05 2026

As a fan of Morrisey and The Smiths this all really worked for me. I had never heard any of these songs before, and while not as strong as his previous stuff in general, I still think this was a great album. Honestly, there is no one like Morrisey in terms of lyrics and taking an audience on a surprisingly musical journey. His mind is one of one. First couple songs are the weakest, but then it really picks up. A few standouts here I already will be adding to my rotation. Top Songs: I’m Not Sorry, First of the Gang to Die, Let Me Kiss You, The World is Full of Crashing Bores

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Feb 06 2026

Nothing amazing for me! Obviously some classic old time songs but as a whole project not super memorable. I think his later stuff is better, more personal and meaningful. But still Elvis! Top Songs: Blue Suede Shoes, I’m Counting on You, Blue Moon

Feb 07 2026

This isn’t just an album, it is an experience. The concept from beginning to end is executed beautifully, and even in the slower moments I was waiting for more. The relisten value is so high, and I know I would get more out of it with each listen. It just clicked for me. Top Songs: I Talk to the Wind, The Court of the Crimson King

Rust In Peace by Megadeth
Feb 08 2026

Emo middle schooler vibes. No thank you!

Feb 09 2026

Not my type of music and not something I would listen to again, but as far as country goes it wasn't bad. Just not for me.

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Feb 10 2026

I can see why this is such an important album for blues, but just not my type of music. Nothing really stood out to me.

Medúlla by Björk
Feb 11 2026

Those who get it, get it. And if you don’t get it, you need to expand your definition of music. Björk’s vision is singular and unique, and while this isn’t my favorite of her albums, this album puts her individuality on full display. Almost entirely made using only vocals, but it never loses your attention. It rises and falls like a heartbeat and syncopates with your brain in a perfect way. Just amazing, per usual! Top Songs: Where is the Line, Who Is It, Oceania, Mouth’s Cradle, Desired Constellation, Triumph of a Heart

Feb 12 2026

This was a cool listen overall and I really enjoyed some of the moments. Wish it were in smaller song size pieces to really be able to appreciate those moments better. I feel like relistening would be a whole undertaking. But it was cool!

Third by Portishead
Feb 13 2026

Absolutely perfect in every way. This album is a journey, and you can tell that every single note and word is placed perfectly. The production value takes it to another level, transcending genre. The Rip is probably one of the best songs of all time, and I loved all of them that I hadn’t heard before. Portishead can do no wrong. Top Songs: The Rip, Hunter, We Carry On, Machine Gun, Magic Doors

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Feb 14 2026

This was pretty lackluster for me. I feel like there are a lot stronger Motown albums and songs, even by this group. But still a classic sound and easy listening. Top Songs: Hey Girl, I Heard it through the Grapevine

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Feb 15 2026

This is the pinnacle of funk and soul music. Never heard this album or much of this group before but I was drawn in instantly and wanted to hear every note. Just so may rich soul sounds and takes you on a full experience from beginning to end. Top Songs: Just Like a Baby, Family Affair, Spaced Cowboy, Running Away

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Feb 16 2026

Some fun songs on here but ultimately just Dad rock. But this is like a better ACDC for me, more enjoyable and fun. Sharp Dressed Man always goes hard. Top Songs: Sharp Dressed Man, Gimme All Your Lovin’, Legs

Doolittle by Pixies
Feb 17 2026

An album I’ve listened to before but it doesn’t get old, such a classic alt-rock album that really was one of the first in that genre. Some of the best rock songs of all time on here. Some songs are skips for me, but there are a lot of highs and some of my favorites. Great album! Top Songs: Here Comes Your Man, Hey, La La Love You, Debaser, Wave of Mutilation

Traffic by Traffic
Feb 18 2026

Not a memorable album for me. Not bad but nothing stood out songwriting wise.

La Revancha Del Tango by Gotan Project
Feb 19 2026

This was an interesting album and a cool sound. Great trip-hop and overall a good vibe. I don't think it really stood out to me that much, especially compared to other trip hop albums I've had so far on here. But a cool sound and I'm glad I know about it now. Would go back and put on in the background again.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Feb 20 2026

This was very nice overall, just not anything that really is exciting or stood out to me. But for people who enjoy this type of music I can see why it would be special.

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Feb 21 2026

Bob Marley can do no wrong - another excellent album. That said, this wasn't as strong for me as some of his other stuff, especially Catch a Fire. Some great songs on here, but as a whole not my favorite of his. Would revisit though! Top Songs: Lively Up Yourself, No Woman No Cry, Am-A-Do

The Only Ones by The Only Ones
Feb 22 2026

This was an enjoying album and a cool sound - I had never heard of them! Very Lou Reed adjacent with a fun but approachable punk-rock/pop sound. Love the singers voice as well. At a certain point the songs started to blend a bit, and I think there are a few too many songs in general on here. This was a good one! Top Songs: Another Girl, Another Planet, The Whole of the Law, It's the Truth, No Peace for the Wicked

Boston by Boston
Feb 23 2026

This is classic rock at its pique! I knew all of these songs because my dad loves Boston and we always listened to this album. I didn’t realize until this listen as an adult how perfect it is! Every song is a classic and doesn’t get old! This is truly the best 70s rock can be. Top Songs: Peace of Mind, More Than a Feeling, Something About You, Rock & Roll Band

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Feb 24 2026

This is a really cool album. I'm familiar with a lot of Gorillaz songs, but never sat down and listened to an entire album. It's such a consistent sound and fully realized listening experience. They know their sound and style and stick to it, while still being experimental. Great one! Top Songs: Tomorrow Comes Today, Re-Hash, Clint Eastwood, Double Bass, 19-2000, Slow Country

Kala by M.I.A.
Feb 25 2026

Surprisingly loved this! Like everyone else, I've heard Paper Planes my entire life, but it's actually just one of the many bangers on here. I thought the entire thing was great and didn't get tired. She has such a unique sound and perspective - the way this ties in so many genres is so impressive, and especially love the world music samples. It feels so cohesive and just a fun experience. I already want to revisit it. Top Songs: Bamboo Banger, Boyz, Jimmy, Come Around, Paper Planes

Trafalgar by Bee Gees
Feb 26 2026

As someone who loves the Bee Gees' disco era, this was a bit of a let down. I can see why this isn't so highly rated. I think the songwriting is really what was lacking here. But they are still the Bee Gees, with absolutely beautiful voices, and have made some of the best music of all time. Top Songs: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, Trafalgar, Don't Wanna Live Inside Myself

A Date With The Everly Brothers by The Everly Brothers
Feb 27 2026

Not very interesting or exciting. I see why other acts of this era became bigger household names. Not a bad listen just plain.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Feb 28 2026

Let It Be by The Replacements
Mar 01 2026

Like punk music but this didn’t do it for me. Wasn’t very catchy and I don’t think the album had much of a message or point of view.

They have an interesting sound and I appreciate how experimental and different they are, but none of the songs stood out to me on this. I think there are bands/albums that really define the post-punk era a lot better. Not a bad listen overall, but nothing amazing on here in my opinion.

Konnichiwa by Skepta
Mar 04 2026

This is not my type of music at all, so I couldn’t get into it. But for what it is it’s not so bad and had some enjoyable beats! I see why it’s highly rated for this genre.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Mar 05 2026

A strong album overall, but not my favorite from them. Only a few songs really stood out to me. Top Songs: Immigrant Song, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

Moving Pictures by Rush
Mar 06 2026

I really enjoyed this album overall, especially the hits. I'm not huge on classic rock but it really is a classic album for a reason. I got to see Rush in concert years ago, and loved them. This album definitely started stronger than it ended, but still great overall. Top Songs: Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, YYZ, Limelight

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Mar 07 2026

Dylan is an incredible songwriter and that’s most true on this album. Some of his best songs and best writing is on display. Sure, not a big fan of his voice and often prefer when other artists sing his songs, but his voice isn’t bad at all on here. You can feel the personality in it and message in his words. It’s a classic for a reason! Top Songs: Visions of Johanna, I Want You, Just Like a Woman

The Gilded Palace Of Sin by The Flying Burrito Brothers
Mar 08 2026

A pleasant listen, and I see the influence on modern country music. But overall pretty dated, especially lyrically, and didn’t stand out for me.

Mar 09 2026

Meh! Some fun and funky songs on here but overall it just feels dated to me, and even kind of cheesy at times. None of the songs stood out for me, and just not a sound I enjoy.

Mar 10 2026

So many classics on this album wow, truly feels like hit after hit. You can feel the influence on music of all different styles. He has such an amazing voice too. Just timeless. Top Songs: Change Gonna Come, My Girl, Wonderful World

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Mar 11 2026

Heard a lot of Van Morrison in my life, but never this album. It’s really a work of art in every way. Each song is its own world and its own story. I feel like every listen would allow a new discovery and revelation in the music. The arrangements are so complex and beautiful. Such an amazing album! Top Songs: Cyprus Avenue, The Way Young Lovers Do, Ballerina

Mar 12 2026

Some individual songs that I enjoyed but overall this was very meh and oftentimes annoying. I don’t really see why this is such a lauded album.

Mar 13 2026

Just awful. Cheesy and stupid lyrics. Boring beats. No interesting songs. How is this on the list??

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Mar 15 2026

I already liked Tom Waits from what I've heard, and so this did not disappoint - my favorite of his so far! Love the bluesy sound, and I thought the ballads were particularly interested and enjoyable. Jersey Girl is a highlight, such a great song. I really like this voice and the vibe he curates in his music. Great album! Top Songs: Heartattack and Vine, In Shades, Jersey Girl, Mr. Siegal, Ruby's Arms

Signing Off by UB40
Mar 16 2026

I enjoy reggae and overall like their sound a lot, but this was mid for me. None of the songs stood out and it sort of just faded into the background overall. But not unenjoyable by any means.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Mar 17 2026

Really not a huge fan of the 90s rap I’ve heard here so far, but wasn’t too bad. Lyrics were bad but the beats were really good on some of them. Okay overall. Top Songs: The Shiznit, Lodi Dodi

Sunshine Superman by Donovan
Mar 18 2026

This album encapsulates the best of 60s music to me. It’s folk and psychedelic, experimental, interesting lyrics and unusual sounds and instruments. Songwriting it great and Donovan sounds great. I already liked a lot of his songs but never listened to this album through. It’s really great! Top Songs: Sunshine Superman, Legend of a Girl Child Linda, Three King Fishers, Bert’s Blues, Season of the Witch

Tommy by The Who
Mar 19 2026

I see why this was so huge when it came out, but I have mixed feelings. It works way better as an album than a musical. I respect how much it pioneered the concept album, but the “story” is not very exciting for me. That said, it has some great standalone songs and a lot of filler. But it’s a fun listen overall. Top Songs: Christmas, Pinball Wizard, I’m Free

G. Love And Special Sauce by G. Love & Special Sauce
Mar 20 2026

I don’t get how this is on here. What a bland and boring record.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Mar 21 2026

It’s good for somebody, but it’s not for me!

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Mar 22 2026

Struggling with this because I really liked some of the songs and the overall sound, but there are also a lot I would skip if I were going to listen again. I need to revisit but going 3 for now. Top Songs: My Wave, Head Down, Black Hole Sun, Spoonman

Mar 23 2026

Surprised by how much I enjoyed this and how many classic 2000s pop/rap songs are on here. Yes it’s a rap album, but a ton of these songs are mainstream and classics of party music. Still not my type of music but a really fun listen. Top Songs: What Up Gangsta, Many Men, P.I.M.P, Gotta Make It to Heaven

Graceland by Paul Simon
Mar 24 2026

This is one of the best albums ever, period. Paul Simon cannot miss and this is at the top of his stuff. Lyrically perfection, and love how he brings in all different artists and sounds to appreciate other cultures and music styles. No skips on here and will never get old no matter the amount of listens. Top Songs: The Boy in the Bubble, Graceland, You Can Call Me Al, Under African Skies

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
Mar 25 2026

Cool sounds and interesting songs, but overall hard to connect with this one personally.

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Mar 26 2026

Top 10 album of all time. It’s hit after hit after hit and never gets old no matter how many listens. This is my favorite Beatles album, and some of the best songs ever are on here. Genius lyrics and beautiful in every way. This is the best of the best. Top Songs: Norwegian Wood, Nowhere Man, Michelle, I’m Looking Through You, In My Life

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Mar 27 2026

Love CCR and this is a great album! I don't think a lot of their most memorable songs are on here, but I really enjoyed it overall and would definitely listen again. Top Songs: Wrote a Song For Everyone, Bad Moon Rising, Lodi, Cross-Tie Walker

Van Halen by Van Halen
Mar 28 2026

A really great classic rock album, I see why it is so beloved and launched Van Halen to huge status. Top Songs: Runnin’ with the Devil, Aint Talkin’ ‘Bout Love, Jamie’s Cryin

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Mar 29 2026

Wow, I was very surprised by this album. As a New Jerseyan, I've heard Springsteen my entire life, but I've never heard anything from this album before (outside of “Atlantic City”). I was so impressed by the stripped-down sound, the focus on the instruments, and his voice - but especially the songwriting and lyricism. These songs are heartbreaking tales of loneliness, living on the fringes, nostalgia, and it really is the perfect execution of this idea Springsteen was chasing: a raw, unvarnished portrait of America’s underbelly. Top Songs: Nebraska, Johnny 99, Highway Patrolman, State Trooper

Celebrity Skin by Hole
Mar 30 2026

This album is excellent: the perfect pop/rock/grunge sound, amazing songwriting, fun but also impactful songs. This is my favorite from Hole and just an all-time classic. I could see myself revisiting this album many times and growing on me even more. I feel like I would get something new out of every listen. Top Songs: Celebrity Skin, Awful, Malibu, Use Once and Destroy, Petals

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Mar 31 2026

She has a beautiful voice, but this just isn't my type of music.

The Stooges by The Stooges
Apr 01 2026

This was painful to get through. We Will Fall might be one of the worst songs I've ever heard. Very annoying and uninspired.

Smokers Delight by Nightmares On Wax
Apr 02 2026

Completely fine background music

Here Are the Sonics by The Sonics
Apr 03 2026

Not very exciting or original - especially when compared to The Beatles or other big acts of this time. Just not memorable!

Apr 04 2026

Honestly, this is not a pleasant album to listen to. In fact, it's quite disturbing at times. I'm not against it for that, but it really isn't a fun time, nor is it supposed to be. I think Eminem achieves his goal of shock and anger with this album and pushes the bar on rap music and storytelling. That said, I won't be revisiting anytime soon.

Hysteria by Def Leppard
Apr 05 2026

A solid classic rock album overall, but doesn't really stand out for me. Their is a reason why only one of the songs on here is very well known. Not bad at all but not exciting for me. Top Songs: Pour Some Sugar On Me, Rocket, Hysteria

C'est Chic by CHIC
Apr 07 2026

I love disco music and I love CHIC - they have so many great songs including a few on this album. Overall, I don’t think the album is that strong outside of the stand out songs. But still a great listen overall and one I would come back to. Top Songs: Le Freak, I Want Your Love, Chic Cheer

Guero by Beck
Apr 08 2026

I was already a Beck fan but had never listened to this album all the way through - I loved it! It's the type of album that makes a very cohesive listening experience. Some songs are stronger and more memorable than others, but the other ones are still great and create a great sound and vibe. This album has so much relistinability and it's just a creative and fun take on alt rock. Love it! Top Songs: E-Pro, Girl, Missing, Earthquake Weather, Hell Yes, Rental Car

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Apr 09 2026

A very forgettable rock album to me. Yes, Walk this Way and Sweet Emotion are great songs, but nothing else stood out to me at all.

Apr 10 2026

Not bad at all, pretty enjoyable at times. Just not my thing!

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Apr 11 2026

I feel like I’ve seen this album so many places but never listened to it. I see why it has so much hype. It’s bookended by two really interesting instrumental pieces and then the middle is fun/funky songs. I feel like every relisten would be a new experience. Great one! Top Songs: Can You Get To That, Hit It And Quit It, Maggot Brain, Super Stupid

Pump by Aerosmith
Apr 12 2026

This is a really solid album! I definitely have a slight aversion to Aerosmith, but I was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying most of this. It has better songs and a better vibe than Toys in the Attic. Fun listen! Top Songs: Love in an Elevator, Janie’s Got a Gun, What It Takes

Sincere by Mj Cole
Apr 13 2026

Individually, it has some fun songs and beats. It made a nice background listen. But it’s about an hour too long and got very repetitive. I don’t see why this is a must listen ahead of so many others that didn’t make this list.

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Apr 14 2026

This is such an iconic album! Even just the cover art alone has to be one of the most recognizable in all of music. But the music itself also holds up so well. It's not perfect at every moment and definitely could have been cut down at times (European Son), but it has so many classic songs of this era that inspired so much of rock, pop, and alternative music. Amazing album! Top Songs: Sunday Morning, Femme Fatale, Venus in Furs, All Tomorrow's Parties, I'll Be Your Mirror

Youth And Young Manhood by Kings of Leon
Apr 15 2026

This was meh for me. I wanted to like it more but none of the songs stood out. It was an average 2000s rock album, nothing fantastic.

Go Girl Crazy by The Dictators
Apr 16 2026

I continue to learn that I'm not a big fan of punk rock. This was fine, but quite annoying at times. It had some strong moments but I wouldn't listen again.

Closer by Joy Division
Apr 17 2026

Like Nirvana, I feel like Joy Division and this album has such a dark energy around it considering what happened with Ian Curtis. But for me that adds to the appeal of this, the music, lyrics, and sound is so personal and you can feel what he was going through making this music. There is just much depth and emotion in every song. It's a dark piece of music but moving and worth many listens. Top Songs: Atrocity Exhibition, Isolation, Twenty Four Hours, Decades

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Apr 18 2026

I understand and can appreciate why this is such a highly respected and regarded album, but it just is not for me. There are a ton of Kendrick songs I really like, from his first album and his new album, but nothing on here was so good to me. Alright is a hit, but otherwise just okay.

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Apr 19 2026

There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the best albums of all time. I've listened through many times before and it always moves me. Listening again yesterday was an emotional journey and reminded me how perfect this album is from start to finish. It's a reflection of her life in her music that very few artists can pull off. Madonna has always been and will always be a controversial person, and I know we can't stop the misogyny that affects how people review her music, but I truly believe this album speaks for itself. It succeeds in everything: lyrics, production, vocals, pop, trip-hop, dance, electronic - it is the best of the best in every way. I will never get tired of listening to this album and hope I get goosebumps every time. Top Songs: Frozen, Ray of Light, Skin, Shanti / Ashtangi, The Power of Good-Bye, Little Star

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Apr 20 2026

Not sure about this one. Not very exciting and nothing really stood out to me. Also the vague political messaging was pretty cheesy.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Apr 21 2026

I didn't get it after the first listen, but after listen two I understood. "Wish You Were Here" is obviously the focal point of this album but it's such a good song, truly one of the best ever, that they get away with the other tracks being a bit unfocused. But as a whole this album works so well and I see why it is such a classic. Top Songs: Wish You Were Here, Have a Cigar

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Apr 22 2026

I feel like it's pretty difficult to go wrong with Stevie Wonder. Not every song is a standout, but still listening through is such a good vibe and I know I would enjoy more with every listen. Boogie on Reggae Woman is probably one of the best songs ever and found myself really liking most of them. Top Songs: Boogie on Reggae Woman, You Haven't Done Nothin', Smile Please

Heartbreaker by Ryan Adams
Apr 23 2026

Everything about this album is derivative... even down to the title he stole from a Mariah Carey song. Songs are boring and sound like knock-off Bob Dylan. And he seems like a pretty bad guy!

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Apr 24 2026

So on the fence here because individually this album has so many great CCR songs that I love. But listening through from start to finish I didn't think it was such a strong album overall. A bunch of skips on here that don't compare to the highlight songs. I think I would revisit and rereview soon, but going with a 3 for now. Top Songs: Run Through the Jungle, Up Around the Bend, I Heard It Through the Grapevine

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Apr 25 2026

I have mixed feelings about this because it is a wonderful album: great to listen to, pleasant, and moody. But it just doesn’t do it for me. I went to go to listen again and just didn’t really want to. Nothing stands out to me.

Talking Timbuktu by Ali Farka Touré
Apr 27 2026

This is a cool sound and a fun album overall. The songs definitely blend together but I liked it. Good background music for working!

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Apr 28 2026

This was okay, I wasn’t crazy about it! I really love The Beach Boys earlier stuff, and I see they were trying to switch up their sound, but I think there is a reason this one isn’t remembered as well. Still a solid listen! Top Songs: Long Promised Road, Surf’s Up

Apr 29 2026

This album is perfection - so much has been said about it already but it never ever gets olds. It’s so mind blowing that she made this and never made another solo album, but she truly said everything with this. Ex-Factor is a top 10 song of all time for me. The songwriting is on another level, the production is incredible, the album tells a full story from start to finish. One of the best ever, hands down. Top Songs: Lost Ones, Ex-Factor, To Zion, Doo Wop, When It Hurts So Bad, Everything is Everything

Fisherman's Blues by The Waterboys
Apr 30 2026

Enjoyed this more than I expected! Especially the first two songs. They have a really cool sound and I love the traditional Irish influences. It’s a long album and dragged a bit, but would revisit a few songs. Top Songs: Fisherman’s Blues, We Will Not Be Lovers

I Against I by Bad Brains
May 01 2026

Not for me. Not unbearable but pretty annoying overall and very forgettable.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
May 02 2026

A very pleasant and nice listening experience! The songs definitely blend together but not much to complain about. His voice was one of a kind! Top Songs: You Make Me Feel So Young, Anything Goes

The La's by The La's
May 03 2026

Very enjoyable album! I liked it more than I expected. ‘There She Goes’ is a classic and obviously the highlight, but I liked a few of the others as well. Top Songs: There She Goes, Timeless Melody, Freedom Song, Looking Glass

Welcome To The Pleasuredome by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
May 04 2026

So this album rocks. So fun, gay, and cinematic - but with depth and heart too! Listened a few times and could keep going. ‘Relax’ is an all time classic. I feel like this album transported me to a gay club in LA in the 80s and it’s awesome. Top Songs: Welcome to the Pleasuredome, Relax, War, Born to Run, Wish The Lads Were Here, Krisco Kisses, The Power of Love

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
May 05 2026

What more is there to say? It’s everything. Top Songs: Second Hand News, Dreams, The Chain, You Make Loving Fun

The Hour Of Bewilderbeast by Badly Drawn Boy
May 06 2026

This was a pleasant listen! Not bad overall, but didn’t blow me away. Very Elliot Smith but not quite as interesting. Top Songs: The Shining, Once Around the Block

Permission to Land by The Darkness
May 07 2026

It’s a fun time! The lead singer’s voice is the best part because of how whimsical he is. I enjoyed it enough but it’s a lot of nonstop energy. We know there is one standout classic on here though. Top Songs: Growing on Me, I Believe in a Thing Called Love

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
May 08 2026

This is an all-time rock classic. 'Paradise' has to be one of the best rock songs of all time and it does not get old. But every song on here is special in its own way. It stills sounds exciting today and there is something so nostalgic about it too. Truly a great one! Top Songs: Bat Out of Hell, Two Out of Three Ain't Bad, Paradise By the Dashboard Light

Brothers by The Black Keys
May 09 2026

It’s meh! Very 2010 Apple commercial music. Just not interesting to me. I can barely remember it honestly.

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
May 10 2026

There is nothing redeemable about this. It is a disgrace to music. I’m glad Nick Cave’s sound evolved, but it’s a shame our ears need to bleed for this. Awful, awful stuff.

Nixon by Lambchop
May 11 2026

This was fine! I liked the first couple songs enough but then it started to get a bit boring towards the end. Also was not crazy about the lead singer's voice. But not terrible.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
May 12 2026

Everything Leonard Cohen did was iconic and this album is no exception. It’s haunting and hypnotic, and makes it even more wild how close this was released to his death. It’s the most beautifully poetic final album for such a one of a kind talent. Top Songs: You Want It Darker, Treaty, Leaving the Table, It Seemed the Better Way

Post Orgasmic Chill by Skunk Anansie
May 13 2026

This was very cool - I liked it a lot more than I expected and had a bunch of songs I would revisit. It’s definitely of its era, but still a cool sound that I could see myself coming back to. Top Songs: Charlie Big Potato, Lately, Secretly, I’m Not Afraid

Hot Shots II by The Beta Band
May 14 2026

Very unremarkable, a kind of cheesy!

Wild Wood by Paul Weller
May 15 2026

Pretty enjoyable overall but not very memorable for me. I would relisten to it at some point.

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
May 16 2026

This is a fun album and easy to listen to. It's very classic hip-hop and obviously some of these songs were huge hits. Wasn't crazy about the interludes but I respect this. Top Songs: The Magic Number, Me Myself and I, Say No Go

1984 by Van Halen
May 17 2026

This is a really solid classic rock album and I really enjoyed listening to it. Very easy listen and the songs don't really get old. They transport you back to that time. This album didn't blow me away, but it's solid. Would revisit! Top Songs: Jump, Panama, Hot for Teacher

Oar by Alexander 'Skip' Spence
May 18 2026

This was okay! Not a bad listen at all and there are some interesting tunes and melodies on here. It's a cool psychedelic record. My issue is that is was very long and it needed to be cut down a bit. It got boring and sluggish in the middle and the end.

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
May 19 2026

Obviously a great listen if you like jazz. Was a nice background tune but doesn't exactly do anything for me. I can still appreciate how important Miles Davis is.

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
May 20 2026

Obviously a great listen if you like jazz. Was a nice background tune but doesn't exactly do anything for me. I can still appreciate how important Thelonious Monk is.

Bandwagonesque by Teenage Fanclub
May 21 2026

I really enjoyed this album. Definitely middle of the road 90s alt-rock, but I can see the influence in contemporary alt music. Loved the vocals and I think catchy tunes elevate this. I thought it was really enjoyable overall but nothing over the top. The Concept is a major standout. Top Songs: The Concept, December, Metal Baby, Is This Music?

Odelay by Beck
May 22 2026

Like other Beck albums, I really like his style and sound and a lot of individual songs. But it feels really long and has a lot of things I would skip if I were to listen again. He has such a unique style and sound but the album as a whole isn’t perfect to me. Top Songs: Hotwax, Where It’s At, Ramshackle

The Stranger by Billy Joel
May 23 2026

A masterpiece in every way. He changed the game with this album. All of these songs are classics now, for good reason! Songwriting is top tier. Top Songs: The Stranger, Just the Way You Are, Vienna

May 24 2026

It’s really a great vibe and I understand why it’s been so influential. I like the samples and it’s just very smooth and easy to listen to. No annoying interludes or intense lyrics. It’s fun! Top Songs: Push It Along, I Left My Wallet in El Segundo, Bonita Applebum, Can I Kick It?

Joan Baez by Joan Baez
May 25 2026

The voice of an angel. I thought I might be bias going in because I’ve loved Joan and this album for years, but this listen through exceeded expectations. I know this music is not for everyone, but for me this is what music is about. Beautiful singing and guitar, incredible storytelling, and music that bridges the old world to the new. Incredible album. Top Songs: Silver Dagger, All My Trials, John Riley, El Preso Numero Nueve, I Know You Rider

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jun 25 2026

Infinitely listenable. Just a fun soundtrack vibe I could put on in the back of anything and always enjoy.

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Jun 26 2026

Solange is one of the most underrated people in the music industry, but at least she got her flowers with this album. So well deserved. It’s just perfect: the vocals, lyrics, beats, messaging. This is a hugely important album and puts words to the feelings so many people have. Not to mention it’s just so beautifully produced. Top Songs: Cranes in the Sky, Mad, Where Do We Go, Borderline, Junie, Don’t Wish Me Well, Scales

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Jun 27 2026

Obsessed with this album. They literally just came out of nowhere with this and invented a brand new sound and style. Songwriting original and creative, and it’s mind blowing that this was their first album. I only knew Psycho Killer going in, but all the other songs are just as insanely good. Top Songs: Happy Day, The Book I Read, Don’t Worry About the Government, First Week / Last Week

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Jun 28 2026

Kraftwerk is at the very top of the list when thinking about groups that pioneered a new sound. There was nobody like them when they were making music, but even still nothing really compares. This album transcends time and genre. It's fun but also has a lot to say. Top Songs: The Robots, Spacelab, The Model

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Jun 29 2026

The first of many Paul Simon solo masterpieces. This album has so many incredible songs on it and proves why he is in top very top echelon of all time songwriters. Top Songs: Mother and Child Reunion, Duncan, Run That Body Down, Peace Like a River

Jun 30 2026

It's undeniably a classic for Tuesday's Gone and Free Bird alone, but I really enjoyed this more than expected. They perfected the Southern Rock sound and I think this has their best and most timeless work. Top Songs: Tuesday's Gone, Simple Man, Free Bird

Jul 01 2026

Honestly really cool techno music. I see why it's on here if it really influenced this genre. Solid album if you like this type of music.

Cafe Bleu by The Style Council
Jul 08 2026

Not unpleasant but just so not memorable to me. Nothing stood out at all.

Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Jul 09 2026

It's like if Mario Kart music were a two hour double album. I didn't want to like this at first but I understand the importance it had on the bluegrass and country genre. I got more into it in the second half and liked the instrumental stuff. But not something I would likely return to.

Jul 10 2026

It was challenging to get through this album. The songs were just so bizarrely structured, but also really boring at the same time. I have no idea what they were trying to do with this or trying to say. Truly not a must listen.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Jul 11 2026

I expected to really not like this because it's not my type of music, but I do see why this is so well regarded. It's full of raw emotion and feeling. I appreciate what they were getting across. Not something I would listen to regularly, but a well made record.

Murder Ballads by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jul 12 2026

I like Nick Cave a lot but this one just wasn't for me. It's so dark and intense and very little to actually enjoy. Henry Lee with PJ Harvey was my favorite, but otherwise this was just fine. It's an interesting concept but in theory, not very fun to listen to.

D by White Denim
Jul 13 2026

This was a cool alt-rock album! I liked it more than I expected. I've never heard of this band before but they have a fun sound. It didn't blow me away, but I would go back to listen again sometime. Top Songs: Back at the Farm, Street Joy, Keys

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Jul 14 2026

Stevie Wonder cannot do anything bad. So many excellent songs on here and a very pleasant listen overall. This album doesn't elevate to the same place I think his other ones do, and it definitely holds some of his more sentimental songs, but still so great either way. Going with 3 at the moment but will be revisiting. Top Songs: Superstition, You Are the Sunshine of My Life, I Believe

Viva Hate by Morrissey
Jul 15 2026

I don't care what people say about Morrissey, he makes excellent music. It's a great album a really continues his work with The Smiths but in his solo journey. It doesn't quite have the same catchy riffs a Smiths record, but vocals and songwriting are still excellent. Suedehead is certainly one of his best songs ever and I don't think there are any bad ones on here. It's not perfect but really great. Top Songs: Everyday Is Like Sunday, Bengali in Platforms, Late Night Maudlin Street, Suedehead, Treat Me Like a Human Being

Faith by George Michael
Jul 16 2026

On paper, I feel like I should like George Michael more than I do, but this just doesn't do it for me. It's like Prince and MJ but just not as good. With that in mind, I still had fun listening and would listen again. I just don't personally find this to be anything amazing. Top Songs: Faith, Monkey, I Want Your Sex

Jul 17 2026

Another generic indie rock album that just is not memorable. Nothing inherently bad about it but just doesn't feel like a must-listen in any way.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jul 18 2026

Cool album and I see why this is so beloved. The sound is very 2010s Black Keys, but still enjoyable all around. It doesn't transcend anything for me personally but I can definitely appreciate it.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Jul 19 2026

The hype is real. This is the crown jewel of Wonder's discography for a reason. It's just banger after banger. And even the songs I had never heard and aren't the most popular were still so good. I feel like I discovered even more of his classics on here. This elevates to new heights in ways his other albums don't. It's a fully realized vision and consistent sound. He's never sounded better. Top Songs: Love's in Need of Love Today, Sir Duke, I Wish, Knocks Me Off My Feet, Isn't She Lovely, As, Saturn, All Day Sucker

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto
Jul 20 2026

Enjoyable as background music. It has that vacation chic sound which is great for a certain vibe. It was a fun time but nothing amazing by any means. Top Songs: Stay, Bossa Na Praia (Beach Samba), My Foolish Heart

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Jul 22 2026

The absolute best of folk rock. There is too much to be said about this album and how important it was at the time and still is. Not to mention kicking off the careers of some of the greatest musicians ever. But it speaks for itself, just a wonderful listening experience with beautiful songs and storytelling. Special shoutout to how much Joni Mitchell inspired this music too. Top Songs: Carry On, Teach Your Children Well, Helpless, Our House

So so good in every way. Sad this was their final album as a group but they went out on a high note. Really excellent songwriting and tunes on here. It doesn’t quite hit at every moment, the last few songs do slowdown a bit. But so good either way. Top Songs: I Started Something I Couldn’t Finish, Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before, I Won’t Share You

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Jul 25 2026

Very pleasant, he has a great voice and Let’s Stay Together is such a classic for a reason. But nothing stood out to me in terms of the songs other than that. Top Songs: Let’s Stay Together, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart

Crocodiles by Echo And The Bunnymen
Jul 26 2026

I liked this album a lot, great post-punk rock. This band had such a huge influence on post-punk and English rock and it feels very fresh even listening now. They have a unique sound and I think the re-listening value is high. Top Songs: Do It Clean, Stars Are Stars, Monkeys, Rescue

Music by Madonna
Jul 27 2026

People who think this is generic pop music need their head checked! Maybe it sounds more common now, but let's remember that Madonna was the first to do it! She brought this combo techno, country, folk, rock, funk sound into pop music. Anyone who does it today is thanks to her. This is such an enjoyable album. It's not my favorite of hers, and I think there are others that could be here instead, but it's an awesome album. So many great songs, spans many genres, the lyrics are meaningful and personal to her. And Music will always be a perfect pop song and always a banger!! Top Songs: Music, I Deserve It, Don't Tell Me, What It Feels Like For a Girl, Paradise, Gone

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Jul 28 2026

So good! I can't believe this was their debut album, they really perfected their sound right from the get-go. It has some of the best songs ever and also a couple skippable duds, but even those are still enjoyable. They just have such an amazing sound that is so unique to them and they get better and better. Top Songs: Do It Again, Dirty Work, Only A Fool Would Say That, Reelin' In The Years

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Jul 29 2026

Ugh, I want to like Sonic Youth so badly, but I just don't. This was literally just noise. On paper, I should love this band and know how big their influence is. But this album was such a struggle to get through. I just don't get it.

Trans Europe Express by Kraftwerk
Jul 30 2026

This really is an amazing album and the amount I appreciate it and enjoy it as a concept does not reflect the rating I am giving it. Kraftwerk is so cool and I really love their music. This is such a complete and thoughtful concept album. That said, it doesn't elevate on the individual song level that The Man Machine does for me. It becomes very monotonous and repetitive... kind of like a train. So cool though!

Modern Kosmology by Jane Weaver
Jul 31 2026

This was an interesting listen. I do like her sound a lot but nothing really jumped out to me. Things blended together a lot, but not a bad listen at all.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Aug 01 2026

No denying how huge and important this album is. So many classic songs. But it is long and also a lot of it is kind of annoying? Anyway, still glad I listened. Top Songs: In The Flesh?, Another Brick In The Wall, Pt. 2, Young Lust, Hey You, Comfortably Numb

Aug 02 2026

This just felt like generic indie rock. Not a single song stood out here. It didn’t sound but but I don’t get how it’s good.

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Aug 03 2026

This is a fun album! I don’t really have anything bad to say but probably don’t need to listen again. But I appreciate the mix of rock and R&B and cool to hear Pharrell’s sound before he had a solo career. Top Songs: Jump, She Wants To Move, Thrasher

Aug 04 2026

It's Coldplay. Some good songs on here but just pretty much bland to me overall. I guess I understand why they were exciting back when they were knew but it's hard to not consider their entire career since then. As an album it's fine. The Scientist is a great song. Top Songs: In My Place, The Scientist

Rapture by Anita Baker
Aug 05 2026

Very pleasant listen. She has a wonderful voice and it was nice to listen to. Most of the songs are just fine and don't really seem to have much to say or much personality. But nothing inherently bad about this. Top Songs: Sweet, Love, Caught Up in the Rapture, Been So Long

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Aug 06 2026

Pretty good! He has an excellent voice and it's an enjoyable soulful album. Nothing spectacular for me, but good overall!

Aug 07 2026

I enjoyed this a lot - really great beats and cool style. It's definitely a bit dated and some of the lyrics were pretty cheesy, but in terms of rap/R&B I enjoyed it more than most. Very easy to listen and I would revisit. Top Songs: Mama's Always on Stage, People Everyday, Mr. Wendal, Tennessee

Imagine by John Lennon
Aug 08 2026

I knew a lot of the songs but had never listened all the way through. It's a great album and I get why it is so highly regarded. I don't think every song is perfect but no doubt the first few are classics and as a whole it's really an excellent listen. Top Songs: Imagine, Crippled Inside, Jealous Guy, How Do You Sleep?, Oh Yoko!

Timeless by Goldie
Aug 09 2026

I just don't get it... but it worked well for background noise while I read my book!
