That's utterly crazy, it's quite the opposite of what I like and still it's so damn interesting, I would listen to it again and that's absolutely unexpected considering my taste. I honestly didn't know much of Gershwin besides the Rhapsody In Blue. That's amazing and Fitzgerald just makes it better. I think that just Ella singing would have conquered me. And also just Gershwin sung by someone else. So that's a jackpot
I'm not talking about this album specifically, but this is the undebatable peak of music. This period, this genre. After this we just started going backwards, it's unreachable.
And this album of course is a marvelous example of that.

That's really interesting, I've absolutely loved some tracks, but some others were quite boring. To be honest the one about an inflatable doll weirded me out a little bit, but I guess I'll have to be more focused on the lyrics next time. So, mixed feelings.

I've got a problem with Waits. The first album I heard was Closing Time, crazy stuff, loved it immensely. But I'm discovering it's about the only album where his voice is normal, I can't stand this hoarse sound. I truly can't. In Closing Time everything is perfect. Here the voice drives my mad, but luckily the piano is stunning as always and makes up for it

It's not even the most repetitive and unoriginal rap album I've found 'till now, so I was maybe thinking giving it 2 stars.
But again, that's not even music to me, I've just regretted giving 2 stars to the others not-so-unoriginal rap albums I've met.

I was so sure I would have hate this.
Of course it is impossible to keep a constant good quality for such a long time, but this songs are terribly different one from the other, and that's already incredible. But I've gotta say that I've enjoyed most of the tracks anyway, listening to the whole thing in one session might be exhausting, but I discovered that any random pick drove me to a good place. So, most of them are actually good, some bored me out, but all of them had that genuine mood of an embarassed first love. Good stuff

Not really my stuff, but it served a very specific purpose. I mean, this is not interesting enough to be something that I listen to while focused only on the music.
