Loved the melodies and production on this one, but overall this kind of music is kinda unsettling for me for some reason
There are some redeeming qualities in few songs... But still not enough to rate it 2. I've got so bored :( I Don't know why people call it garage rock or blues rock. It's so bland and the album lasts forever
I only heared couple of songs from The Kinks before. I like this. It's for albums like this one I have entered this challenge. This is a good stuff.
Some songs are good, but production is definitely not my cup of tea. Alanis's voice is fine.
Easy 5. Begining of heavy music, great sound, great songwriting, great musicianship. Loved it since I was 10 y.o. and will love forever. It's where started for me in music and all this years after I love to get back there. R.I.P. Ozzy
It's not on this list, but if you were not familiar with Sabbath before and liked it, check Sabotage (1975), best Sabbath album in my opinion.
First time listening to Bowie album in full. Some moments I kinda liked, but I still don't know what people find in him? Like not in an offensive way, but I can't figure why his music appeals to so many people. Well, I hope other albums will give me the answer. This one has it's moments, but sometimes I got bored by a lot of repetitions. Sorry, David, only 3 so far, though I had bigger expectations.
Probably a duck syndrome, but I always felt weird relistining this album, because it doesn't works for me without movie... A lot of great songs, but short throwaways and reprises make the listening less enjoyable for me. Still a lot of great stuff and good concept and surely one of the albums you must hear before you die, but movie is even more essential
Yay! Heared some Roxy Music (Stranded was my guilty pleasure in my gatekeeping teenage years), but this one felt even better. This one got me excited from the first song and kept me entertained till the end of the album. I will definitely relisten to this again (actually already did). Second great discovery from this project so far.
I heared the name Pogues, but never heared a note from this band before... Haven't heared much of Celtic Punk either, so I didn't know what to expect. And I liked it more than I would expect it. I haven't heared much punk or even rock here, though. This music is so joyful. So much rooted in folk, but still quiet modern. It has so much of NATURAL APPEAL, without even trying to get it. Like, you can put this music to people any age, any social status, etc, and I believe that these melodies and sounds will make them joyful. The arragements are great, but even more of this words are about Shane MacGowan (R.I.P.). He sounds like a rough drunkard, but with so much appeal, that I believe I finally found music that no one will be annoyed by. It just sounds so happy, without being sugary or fake in any way. I don't know how often I will go back to this record, and how much I will listen to that style of music per se, so I didn't know if I will rate it 4 or 5. But hey! What the heck. I will rate it 5, just because it's so charming and brings as much of a naked pure joy as only music can bring
Some good moments, but got a bit bored towards the end. Wanted to give it 4 stars at first...
Heared VU&N and WL/WH before, liked some of it, hated some of it. But it puzzled me. VU doing (mostly) soft pop rock album? I don't know how to feel about it. Songs are nice, but only What Goes On and Murder Mystery really caught my attention. In places it's more accessible than stuff from the first two albums, but in return, it's less rewarding
Heared title track since my teenage years and love it since then. Haven't heared the other tracks until today. They are all good, but title track is one of the best guitar moments in the whole history of music (and I'm not even big fan of the genre or band). Great stuff!
Not a big reggae fan, but this was funny and relaxing. Nice listening
Songs and Wille's voice are good, but too much a lack of variety for me...
Melodies and voice are nice, but extremely mellow for my taste
Sometime the choice of the albums on this list for me. It includes Ace Of Spades, but doesn't have Overkill and then there's live album which includes most important songs from both of these albums? Well, it's Motorhead, so I won't complain. One of the best heavy metal band in the world at their peak.
Philthy's intro to Overkill sounds like WW3, Fast Eddie shreds even more than on the studio version of the songs and, well Lemmy is Lemmy. Legandary stuff. Turn it up!
This is probably the first pop album that I liked. I can sence a ton of psychodelia here, melodies and vocals are soothing. Favourite song: Little Bird. Loved the first part of album more
If we'll narrow it to "10 Albums You Must Listen Before You Die", this one still gets its spot in the list
Some moments (like Miles) are truely enjoyable, but repetetive sound collages and spoken words section are too much for me. This album has like 10 minutes of enjoyable music for me and the rest feels like too long intros and outros.
I joined this site because I wanted to broaden a horizons and challenge myself with stuff that I would never would listen to myself. Now it's third week and so far randomizer mostly feeds me my favourite heavy rock bands, that I would listen to anyway? Damn! :)
Well, this is album is famous because of its synth-driven hits Jump and Panama, but the guitar-oriented stuff on this album is actually as good like on an earlier ones. I'd give it 4.5 if it was possible, just because while they are fun songs, Jump and Panama will never have this extra coolness factor as I'm The One, Somebody Get Me A Doctor or Romeo Delight. Still amazing stuff!
I only heared Bitches Brew before (15 years ago), and it annoyed the hell out of me. Either, this is so much better/different or I have became older smarter enough. I enjoyed all of this album. Sorry Miles, I don't hate you anymore
Some nice melodies and moments, but tooooo samey for my taste :(
Nah. Some good moments are good, but bad moments are all over the place and so annoying and neutralizing anything good about listening experience.
As much as I am a sucker for 70s rock, I never really liked Bad Company. I remember how I was excited in my early teens - I like Mott The Hoople, I love King Crimson and Free was (and is) one of my favourite bands since I was 12 years old. I REALLY wanted to love Bad Company, because I loved all the musicians. But I couldn't. Musicianship is fantastic, but songwriting is just boring. There's some nice hooks in Can't Get Enough and Movin' On and listening to it again today I realized that Seagull is great. But the rest of this stuff is just painfully unmemorable, when you think of what talented people are behind this one. This is probably the only one hard/blues rock from 70s that will get 3/5 from me.
ALBUM THAT YOU SHOULD LISTEN BEFORE YOU DIE INSTEAD: Free - Tons Of Sobs (1968).
Wow... I heared a couple of his songs beforehand and I knew he was good... I didn't know he was THAT good. So enterntaining and his guitar playing is like Hendrix before Hendrix and Page before Page. Why it had to be only 33 minutes long???
Now I see why people like him! I somewhat enjoyed it too. But I found the first part of the album more engaging than second. Nice listen, though!
It's like he's trying too hard, but still has no talent. This was a torment.
Paul McCartney is one of the greatest composers of all time and one of my favourite people that ever graced our planet with their existence. But sorry, I'm biased on this one... When I was a kid I really wanted it to be as good as Beatles, but it's not. It's still not as good as Beatles. S/T, Jet and couple more songs are as good, but not the rest. So only 4. Sorry, Paul....
Me and my friends used to make fun of them back in the day... But it's incredible how well it aged. What seemed to be annoying 20 years ago, doesn't sound bad at all. Still not a fan of more alternative moments, but there's more of classic rock in it that I remember. How could they be hated so much? A lot of innocent exciting loud fun there. Meg's drumming is cool
It's atsrted so promising with Kizza Me... I knew that it was supposed to be dark and depressive, but a lot of stuff here is also mellow, which is downside for me. Songs work good as is, but in context of an album it really miss upbeat songs. Looking forward to getting previous albums. I never heared Big Star before and I suspect some of them might be 5 for me.
It's like so bland. The only reason I give it 2 stars: a) it's not annoying when playing in background b) there's Frank Zappa cover here (althought I'd prefer more Zappa albums in list)
Double Bass and 19-200 were good. But overall just too long and repetitive. Some nice stuff here and there but never understood why they would appeal to everyone so much.
Patti is my favorite woman in rock music. Love her. This is just great
Some really great moments (Music is Love, Tractions in the Rain). 2 longer songs feel like they are a bit lost in direction in a while, so only four.
Wow, that was good! I think it'll become one of my favourites album in jazz. Very interesting.
Better than I excepted, but still too edgy for my taste. Loved and was surprised by the dynamics on this album. I finally understood why a lot of people love this one, but still a hard listen for me
Don't like the sounds and attire of post-punk and expected to hate it. But nah, this was good. Songs are so melodic and adventorous. 3.5, but will rate it 4 just because I was biased in opposite direction beforehand
Nice stuff. Loved songwriting. Didn't liked structure. Probably would work better if acoustic and electric songs followed each other, not divided by sides. Fav song: Pacahontas.
First time listening it in full. Expectations were big and it didn't dissapoint me. Janis is good. Loved this album.
One of the best from psychodelic rock era. Took me a lot of time to get into it in my youth, but it was rewarding
Nah. After Maggot Brain which I loved I had expectations for this one. But if Maggot Brain was everything I could love about Funk, this one is everything I hate about it. Yeah, musicianship is good, but litterally it's similar annoying vamps. Sounds like a Donna Summers record to me. Supergroovalisticprosifunkstication had one riff that I liked.
Didn't loved songwriting much, as it feels a bit simple to me, but loved overall gloomy atmosphere. Quite an experience, which I'll probably revisit, but not too often. Best song: A Short Term Effect
Didn't liked vocals. The begining was good, but the more the album dragged, the more samey it felt. I thought it would be 4 at the begining, but by the end of the album, I can't give it more than 2
I expected to hate it as I don't like shoegaze, but it was actually good. Love melodies combined with wall of sound. Seagull, Kaleidoscope and Polar Bear wear great, but second side felt kinda forced. Nice vocal harmonies
Nah. It probably does something for anyone who's into 00s hip-hop, but not me. It's not really bad, but it's like has no appeal for me at all.
Not a big Stones fan. I like something from them, but general consensus is that they're the hottest band in the world, which I don't agree with. Yet, this one is from the albums that I like from them. Mick Taylor is my favourite member of the Stones, his playing just adds so much soul to their music
Love Cheap Trick! This should be a double album as most of deep cuts are missing (and they are amazing)! This is music that makes you wanna party from the get go, just so much fun. Fav Tracks: Lookout!, Clock Strikes Ten. Pity it's only Cheap Trick album on the list. If you liked it, you should also check S/T (1977), Heaven Tonight (1978) and All Shook Up (1980)
Okay. I'll be biased this time. Rock opera part is a bit cheesy, but
A) standalone songs inlude some of my favourite songs ever, After Glow, Song of a Backer and Lazy Sunday.
B) It's the only record on this list which includes Steve Marriott, one of my favourite singer and frontman ever
Albums that also should be on the list: HUMBLE PIE - "Perfomance: Rocking The Filmore" and "Rock On"
R.I.P. Steve Marriott
I think I heared first song a lot of time in mall and the whole record felt like I'm stranded in a shopping center without my earphones on.
Fuck.
I feel like some of the stuff on here is still need to grown on me, but everything that I love here is so good... I'll regret later if I don't rate it 5 now. Songs I already knew before are fantastic.
I doubt I will return to it, but it turned out more engaging for electronic record, than I've expected. Nice sound collages. I doubt I will return to it though, at this amount this kind of music is kinda tiring to me.
Some fun riffs in Be Sweet and Debonair, nice production, but most of the rest stuff is pretty bad. Vocals are annoying, most song are aimless.
I expected to hate it, because all other trip-hop albums I heared were annoying. This wasn't, but still rather a background music for me. Didn't hated it, but still don't understand the hype
What's wrong with all these people hating on guitar solos?
Nice country but like nothing special. Not annoying though.
Yay! Finally a hip hop album that I liked! Beastie Boys are cool
Wow. I expected to hate it. But some of the moments were magical. I feel like a true boomer, because generator have still to give me 60s album, that I would dislike.
Self indulgent, instrument wankery, Keith Emerson bad, too complex to be real music, Tarkus long song, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
Now, fuck off
Not bad for modern pop music, some enjoyable moment with good melodies and funny sounds, probably the score would be even higher if it all was that way.
It was interesting and somewhat enjoyable, but I don't know what I should make out of it. Not bad though
Listened to it for two minutes and stopped. To turn the volume up to the max and start again! The only way it should be!
Why people who dislike metal are so humorless? We, metalheads, love Venom because a) we can take ourselves not seriously b) we can't take that satanic bullshit seriously. (2nd wave black metal not counting). So, yeah, people who wrote reviews Spinal Tap are not far from truth, but I don't believe that it's a bad thing. It's like people are hating on fun, just because it includes some shocking values.
As for music? Songs are amazing. Production is good. Just listen to the Mantas' guitar and Abaddon's snare drum. It's not underproduced, it's intentionally the way it's supposed to be. My favourite here is Raise The Dead. It makes me wanna dance. Actually most of the album makes me want to dance, because it's just loud and raw rock 'n' roll.
My only complain is that their first album "Welcome To Hell" is even better.
I don't like grunge and expected to dislike it too... But this was good. Very creative. Love half of the songs. Generation Genocide was good, I was expecting all album to be like this.
Guys. I kid you not.
Yesterday I got a call from my friend, with whom I haven't speak for two years. Our last talks before that were on bad terms. He told me that he don't want material things in his life anymore and gave me collection of LPs he got from a neighbors few years ago. Mostly Russian bootlegs. But when I looked closely, it has 60s-70s British presses of Rubber Soul, Revolver, White Album and Please Please Me. My hands were shaking, it was a dream. After shitty summer and september it was just a miracle. I don't if it was God or karma, but it felt that rainy days are finally over. And it felt like some kind of sign. I listened to Rubber Soul yesterday.
This morning I got Rubber Soul here. The universe is trying to tell me something. It can't be coincidence. I listened to it again. I love it since I was 5 years old. The Beatles are the reason why I love music more than anything else in this world. It still sounds as beatiful as it sounded 27 years ago for me and I believe it sounded just the same in 1965.
Favourite songs: In My Life, Think For Yourself, If I Needed Someone
Meh. This is album #64 for me. I entered this 1001 challenge, because I hoped it will make me more openminded about genres I don't like. When I listen to the album like this it won't helps. Like, I try to love pop music, but when there's moments I love they're a) won't repeated again b) repeated so much times, that you've hate them. I Want to Wake Up is only one I liked as a completed song.
To listen to instead: Zvuki Mu - Transnadezhnost
Why it's on this list? I mean, I don't hate it, but it sounds so bland. It was fun until the second song began
Never trust anyone who doesn't like Bohemian Rhapsody
Heared about Elvis Costello but never heared his music before
The way his voice sounds like 90s alternative, but back in 70s gave me some kind of uncanney valley effect
Nothing groundbreaking for me, but enjoyable and engaging power pop, I had fun listening to this album
I hate to admit, that they are actually not as bad as musicians as I thought. It's just they music is so bland and joyless.
The fact that this album has a pretty high score here is a testament to the fact that even people who want to explore more different kind of music and believe that they need to know all the important music from the last century will rather fall for well produced cheap pop rock with fabricated emotions and consumerism, rather than making their way to appreciate Captain Beefheart.
"You're trading Hot Rats for Echo And The Bunnymen??"
Jokes aside, was expecting it to be worse, but it was fine. Not my kind of music at all, but it turned out to be more artsy than I expected and it's always a good thing.
Album like this reminds me that not all pop music is bad. Songwriting is good and so is Fiona's voice. A bit too long, but doesn't get worse near the end, actually liked Carrion more than the other songs on the album
I know that a lot of fans of this band are gonna hate me for this. I respect Talking Head. I like them. I just don't love them. Like really love them. I heared a dozens songs from them, but never a full album. But my problem with them is still there. They're cool, engaging, versatille, but it's like some X Factor is missing from them to be as genius as most people treat this band. I had so much fun listening to them and this album in particular, but it's like 75% of their songs are missing just one part, one thing from being genius. It's like a feeling of something left unsaid is their instrument of expressing emotions. Still can't say anything bad about them. David, Tinam Jerry and Chris seem to me like a creative guys who are also fun to hang around with. Life During Wartime is probably the best lyrics about a band on tour. Also, let's face it, this is one of the coolest album titles ever. These things persuaded me towards to give this a five, but... the feeling of something unfinished is just a bit stronger.
Nice beats, nice rapping. Very good hip hop for its time. His humour might seem offending nowadays, but still is very good
Listened to White Blood Cells few weeks ago, already liked it more, that I liked it in early 00s, this one was even better
Chrissie's vocals are good! Some songs are very good, but also are few fillers. Precious is simple but infectious, Tattooed Lover Boys has fantastic riff
I liked more straightforward punky songs, but more alternative songs annoyed me so much. Favourite track is Misbeaten
A Night At The Opera is great, Sheer Heart Attack is fantastic. Queen II is Queen's best album.
The whole album is diverse, dynamic and filled with great melodies and sounds. You can't top this. Queen couldn't top this.
Father To Son is so heavy and epic, White Queen (As It Begun) is vulnerable, yet hopeful, A Loser In The End is the song that everyone hates from this album, but even it is so full of fun. Nevermore is the best Queen ballad. March Of The Black Queen is probably the only Queen song that tops Bohemian Rhapsody and is my favourite songs by them.
Queen's 80s stuff like I Want To Break Free, One Vision and Invisible Man is good, but THIS is the Queen that I love really deeply in my heart and connect to. There's literally not a bad thing I can say about this album. One of the easiest 5 in this list.
Fragile and Close To The Edge can be described by great musicianship, great songwriting and great chemistry in the band. This one can be only described my some sort of magic. For me, this is THE Yes album.
A lot of time in my life I felt depressed, but when I heared the first chords of Your Is No Disgrace, the black clouds above my head were dissappearing and Jon Anderson himself gave commands to the sun, so it would shine it bright and warm rays right on me.
Haven't heared a single note from 10cc before
Damn, I don't even know what to make out of it.
I like the cleverness and quirkiness of this record. It's engaging, interesting and fun.
But that soft rock arragements water everything down for me. It's like if Smokie would try to do their own version of Sgt Pepper or Dark Side of The Moon. Fun, but kinda aimless.
Also this made me think, is "Sweet Fanny Adams" or any other albums by Sweet are on the list. I was pleasantly surprised that they are not.
Best song = Silly Love. I wish the rest of the album was like this one.
I heared Eight Miles High first when I was 7 years old, and since then I thought it was one of the best psychedelic rock songs ever (well, maybe after Tomorrow Never Knows, but who will argue that?). I still think it is. Few years ago I checked out Byrds compilation. And I was a bit dissapointed, because none of that was that good. So I was looking forward to listening to a full-lenght album. And you know what? IIt wasn't dissapointing. It has some great moments (especially I Come And Stand At Every Door). Overall the album sounds so dated now, it feels silly. But it's all good. But yeah, Eight Miles High is not good, it's fantastic. An album with this song should be there. I just with everything else was as good as it.
I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer
The future's uncertain and the end is always near
Didn't expect to like it much, but it was a nice listen
Why this is supposed to be it?
I don't know how to review this. It's so self explanatory, but and one of the easiest 5s, so I'll just go with few statements
a) Title tracks is one of the best things ever existed
a2) yes, really
b) Does it gets better than this? Yes, but the book only includes 2112 and Moving Pictures. All my favourite Rush albums are within them (A Farewell To Kings, Hemispheres, Permanent Waves. A Farewell To Kings is in my top 5 albums of all time)
c) Second side is a bit weaker than first side with title track. But what else compares to that?
_) Just on a side note. Some of the people in reviews are hating on Ayn Rand. I don't agree with her on everything. She had some good points and some bad points. Books are art too, you don't have to agree with anything.
d) I love Geddy Lee and Neil Peart so much, you won't believe. Yet, I still believe the MVP of the band was Alex Lifeson. He brought it all to life with chaotic but fantastic solos.
e) This was the album, that Mercury (their label) intented to be their last. Their previous to that point was Caress Of Steel, which is fantastic, but was commercial flop. The band thought it was going to be their last album at that moment. AND. That means they're intented that "Something For Nothing" was be their last song and last testament. Now we're talking about goodbye words. This song's and its message are so good, they made me feel lazy.
Now this whole book lacks more Rush. A Farewell To Kings and Hemispheres y'all
Less blusier that I've expected. I don't like world music, but this was a nice listen. Not sure I will return to it often though
Not as great as This Year's Model, but still very engaging and enjoyable
The best point of that album is that unlike of most boring contemporary R&B it's not a hour long. I've read that this is supposed to be a concept album, I don't know what it's supposed to be about but musically it's pointless
The songwriting is nice, but sound is very annoying for me... Two good songs, but I don't even remember their names.
The End is one of the closest things to religious experience that you can have in rock music.
CIA should fund more circus music
I still believe that the best thing about 1001 Albums Book/Challenge is that more people will hear genius art of Captain Beefheart
Never hear Elton John's albums in full before, but my expectations were high
I wasn't disappointed
Expected to hate it after the descriptions that I've read. But nope. Quite melodic, engaging and rewarding.
Expected it to be an alternative/indie rock for some reason. What I heared is not what I loved, but there were some moments that I like. They are very creative with songwriting, arrangement and sounds and I can appreciate it even when it's not mine thing
Already heared This Year's Model and Imperial Bedroom during this challenge. I wondered if an album from much later will be as good. It is.
Bob Dylan annoys me as fuck
But I must admit this one was good, save from some annoying moments
Some of the beats and rapping are nice, and some songs are fun and catchy. There are some redeeming qualities here and there.
But minus one point because no album in the history doesn't have the need to be 2 h 15 min, unless it's Joe's Garage and, as far as I'm concerned, this one isn't Joe's Garage.
Joyful and engaging music. Not really my kind of style and sound so only 4, but I almost feel guilty for not rating it 5 for the sake of effort alone.
Very good songs, but feels very inconstant... Liked the songs, didn't hava an idea what this album should have say musically as an album
Loved it from the first listen.
Pure joy of Rockin' Around (With You), vulnerable Wild One, Forever, southern rock accents of Strangered In The Night.
One who love pure rock without pretension and any kind of self indulgence cannot simply dislike this one
Haven't heared a single song from Dusty and I don't even like soul. But here's another 60s album I can't think of a reason to rate 4 or less. Songs and Dusty's voice are pure joy. Fav tune: Don't Forget About Me.
Nice songs and voice, but too many mellow songs makes it a bit tiresome... Best song The Jungle Line
Yay! I already had Fifth Dimension in this challenge. This one is even better, more trippy, more creative, even better songwriting
Some fine moments, some are not, mostly over the place
Never heared this album before (aside from couple of hits). This one is so much fun. Will definitely go back to it again. Almost as fun as Pet Sounds.
Wow. Didn't expect to like folk album like this. But his songs and voice are so good
Well, I don't know what to make it and how to rate it. No matter how I tried to get into David, he does nothing for me. Nothing bad, but nothing good either
:|
Ahead of its time, influential and fantastic
Not a big fan of Eric Clapton, but this is great album with him, better than anything he did with Cream or solo. (Okay, Five Live Yardbirds EP is great too)
Enjoyable from start to finish
This is like Within You Without You but for whole hour. I thought that would with that lenght it will get me bored towards the end, but no. It's relaxing and magnificent. Will listen again
I love Los Angeles and Under The Big Black Sun even more, so I'm surprised that X are represent with Wild Gift. Songwriting is as great as always, John Doe and Exene Cervenka are my favourite male+female duet in rock music, Billy Zoom is great guitar player and all their song sound like a best party you could ever had. This album's only problem is a more softer production than previous and subsequent albums and misses a bit of their punk edge. But it's the only album that represents X here and they are one of my favourite punk bands, one of the most charming and fun bands in their genre, love them to death.
Muddy is a gift to the world. Johnny is a gift to the world. When they are together... Whooh! Easy five. Music to live to.
Heared only "that one song" from Buffalo Springfield prior.
Man, these melodies, songwriting, vocals, harmonies, sounds. Another very easy 5 from 60s.
Everytime generator brings me a dance album I try to find something good about it, but most times I can't. Sorry this time of music is just too annoying for me :(
Don't like Nirvana, particullary I don't like Kurt's voice. But I must admit that they are much better unplugged! I enjoyed some of the stuff here.
God, I hate U2. Now, after listening to their album in full, I hate them more than ever
Not a big fan of country, but this is good!
Songs are nice, but toooo mellow for my taste :(
I'm trying to be polite on this site, but, sorry, this band is going to be an exception.
Radiohead SUCKS
Somehow, very enjoyable and painfully dated at the same time. Still a strong 4 at least.
Good at spacey moments, but not as good in more "ordinary" songs. Overall good, but I expected it to be even better :(
I rarely have time or mood for a music like this, but when I have I listen to Ray. He was really good!
Some melodies are nice, but I'm so bored with sound and especially tons of overrepetition... Why?
When I've read the description, I new that I'd rather love it or hate it. In the end I love it. It didn't have to be that long and separated though. I feel like "whole side for one member" concept is why this record lost some integrity. It would have been such a killer single LP album, but somehow it's flow made me lose my touch with the record from time to time.
Not my favourite style of jazz... Too funky for my taste. But still very fun and engaging and playing is really good
Not a reggae fan, but it was soothing, relaxing and really good!
Nah.
Vamps are so overrepetetive, that it gives brain no simulation. Some good guitar playing though, but all the parts except guitar solos are boring.
+1 point for Maggot Brain, though I love original version more. The inclusion of it is so contrasting, that it made me wonder, "whatever happened to band that once did Maggot Brain album?"
Joni's songs and voice are nice, but this music gives me anxiety for some reason
Vocal harmonies were great, but some of the songs feel like a filler
Yay! Heared a couple of songs beforehand. Other ones turned out to be great too. Best once: Cross-Eyed Mary and My God
So far the best country album on this list! Well, maybe with expection of Gram Parsons. The songs are short but flow so nicely
I expected it to be terrible, but there were some nice moments. Still their sound is too modern for my taste.
