The best way to start?! A fun listen. Otis is obviously a powerhouse, but the backing band is so tight. I miss professional studio-musicians from this era. Everything works. 4/5

Good, but the album is of its time. Although Marr’s riffs are exceptional, the album can get monotonous. An average “must listen.”

Respect the harmonies, solid musicians, but this is bland.

Phenomenal record

It’s haunting , poignant, and, at times, a mess. The risks Mingus takes on this record are compelling, creative, and courageous. It’s an interesting take on redemption and mimics the mania of metanoia, but it’s too unmoored to be above a 3.

Albums like this is why I wanted to do this! This is fantastic!

Nice synthesizer… shame about the songs.

The rhythm section reminds me of some good Rage Against the Machine songs. The Brazilian percussion and chanting are the best parts. This is not for me, but I appreciate the production on this.
