Well this just shot up to the top of my rotation. Incredibly creative sampling, flows perfectly from beginning to end, and just so much fun. Favorite tracks are hard to pick based off first listen when it's such a cohesive whole, but Frontier Psychriatist stood out.

I like Bonnie's voice but these songs are pretty bland. Favorite song: Nick of Time

Really wonderful. I was only familiar with Son of a Preacher Man before but the whole album is full of beautiful tracks like it. Other favorites are Just A Little Lovin', Breakfast in Bed, The Windmills of Your Mind.

The acoustic-heavy back half drags this down just a bit but man that first half rocks. Every song from Immigrant Song to Out of The Tiles is killer.

This is perfectly fine. Queen has been one of those "like and respect but don't love" bands for me, this album didn't change that.

Crisp production and decent performances but these songs are very forgettable. Favorite track was Get Free I guess?

6/10 Had my head nodding throughout. Some catchy grooves and I enjoy the prominent bass in the mix, but nothing wowed me here. Just a solid rock record. Favs: Tighten Up, The Only One

7/10 Good songwriting, and Beck is very good at creating an intimate and warm sound on his music.

2/10 Nothing really works here. A sleepy, uninspired bunch of songs with a weird kind of Bowie imitation on top with the vocals.

This one didn't get me into French rap, sorry to say. A few decent beats though. 4/10

4/10 It was silly and fun for the first few songs, but really fell off with that last track.

It's a bit of a mess. The old thrashier songs needed serious reworking to fit the orchestra, but there's glimpses of a cool thing in the post-Black Album material. I had fun watching the DVD, but don't think I'll be returning to this. 5/10

It's a little dated, and repetitive even for the genre. But it's still a vibe. 6/10

It feels like Steely Dan-lite, but I like Steely Dan so it's still smooth listening. Just nothing that really stuck with me. I'll put on Aja instead.

Nothing terribly unique going on here compositionally but I enjoyed the moods and sounds. Felt long at 1hr.

The dual vocals don't match well. The guitars are repetitive. l'm all for minimalist pop that's not crazy overproduced but this is dull.

This 2001 reissue is a weird collection but these are still mostly great songs.

It's no Dire Straits (1978). Money for Nothing and Brothers in Arms still bangers though.

I found the first half almost impenetrable on first listen, with the exception of "Heroes" which is great. The ambient second half was cool and spooky.

Huge childhood album for me. Might be Maiden's most consistently good album, only one weaker track in the bunch (22 Acacia Avenue), but doesn't reach their best heights. Clive Burr on fire here.

Fun album. I like the song where he just lists James Bond movies.

Lots of different influences going on which could be messy but they keep it together. Very catchy and lively.
