Ramones
3/5
Alright debut, the best tracks are definitely the ironic Blitzkrieg Bop and Beat on the Brat, aside from that this is both their first album and widely recognized as the first punk album, so it was definitely growing pains.
Wilco
3/5
An alright country pop album
Roxy Music
4/5
Pretty good
The La's
4/5
Like most people, my first impression upon hearing this was the album to hear was "The La's is a very stupid name for a band", and while that thought never left my head, their debut, and only, album, was actually a welcome surprise of energetic pop rock that reminds me of Oasis if Oasis was good.
It is only sad that it seems the band could not figure their shit together enough to create a follow up, there was real potential here.
Standouts: Timeless Melody, I Can't Sleep
Beatles
5/5
One of the best albums of all time, Eleanor Rigby changes what a pop song could be, For No One and Here, There and Everywhere are masterpieces of arranging, and Tomorrow Never Knows is a game changer in cultural terms. Everyone knows it.
Yellow Submarine isn't very good tho.
The Doors
