Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Oct 14 2024

it's a lighthearted cute little album with few things going on below the surface.

Moon Safari by Air
Oct 15 2024

You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr.
Oct 16 2024

liked "Kracked" apart from that, it's a wee bit noizy and basic for me.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Oct 21 2024

it hurts me to rate a band that is considered a shoegaze pioneer that "low". it's just too much dreamy sweetness to bear.

In Our Heads by Hot Chip
Oct 25 2024

quite enjoyable disco music

Oct 31 2024

too "frickly" and noisy for my taste

unenthusiastic slow boredom

Treasure by Cocteau Twins
Nov 07 2024

better than the last Cocteau album i got here but seriously... two albums in this compilation???

Nov 08 2024

this is a strangely enigmatic and fascinating album. i couldn't stop listening to it, although singer/songwriter stuff is usually not my angle.

London Calling by The Clash
Nov 13 2024

must have been one helluva innovative album in the 70ies. can't help but think it fells quite shallow nowadays.

Nov 14 2024

ah the cozy days of the mid nineties when techno-fascism was still a far-off dystopia we read about in books and watched in movie theaters. love it.

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Nov 15 2024

Run-D.M.C. by Run-D.M.C.
Nov 22 2024

not bad but a bit repetitive?

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Nov 25 2024

Sea Change by Beck
Nov 26 2024

i, for one, quite like mellow sad beck

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Nov 27 2024

sweet and soothing, never listened to him before. what a knowledge gap!

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden

makes me wanna smash faces after 5 or so songs...

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Dec 05 2024

stopped at "meet at mary's place, we're gonna have a party"

Dec 06 2024

i like them and all but especially the second part of the album is a bit dull and sounds like a monthy-python ethno-hippie doodle-doo improv live record...

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Dec 17 2024

would be a very nice album if you could just strip these boring "beatles" parts inbetween

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Dec 18 2024

he rocks and he's a whirlwind and there's nothing you can do about it!

Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera

trippy break-beat record. a welcome break from the usual genres!

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Dec 23 2024

powerful and furious album. love it.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Jan 02 2025

few albums i've listened as much as Downward Spiral. it'll always have a place in my heart.

Two Dancers by Wild Beasts
Jan 03 2025

flowy dreamy album. i can listen through it several times without even taking notice. not sure if this is a fully positive trait, though...

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Jan 06 2025

i'm really hesitant to give her that 3-star rating. what happened to me? it's just that... it's actually good!

08/15 smooth jazz, the one that you hear in your 08/15 café or on any spotify jazz playlist

Truth by Jeff Beck
Jan 30 2025

solid bread'n'butter rock

Manassas by Stephen Stills
Jan 31 2025

what a shizo record. there are decent rock songs living alongside horrible country jesus hymns. what do i do now?

Feb 03 2025

loved it in my youth. now it's a tad bit too sleazy for me to fully enjoy. still, solid.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Feb 04 2025

straight and enjoyable indie album that gets out of the way. somehow everything from that period sounds gothy, maybe that's only the perception from the rearview mirror...

it's sinatra, neither good nor bad, doesn't get in the way and is easy in the background while cooking or baking christmas cookies. it's just darn toothless

C'est Chic by CHIC

impressive how many known songs are on this record. still, no fan of that funky disco sound.

Mar 12 2025

nice overall, a bit tiring after a while. still, a nice discovery!

Mar 14 2025

started enjoyable but boy did it get on my nerves after the first few songs...

Green by R.E.M.
Apr 04 2025

on a song-by-song level, there are some gems. in total, it's mostly annoying

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Apr 08 2025

although not an overall fan of the album, this is an experience from the first to the last song. there's more to love in this album than the (nonetheless awesome) "Where Is My Mind?".

ok, but nothing that vibes with me

Tonight's The Night by Neil Young
Apr 23 2025

woah, wild swings between groovy, cool and nice to cheesy and country creep...

Time (The Revelator) by Gillian Welch
Apr 24 2025

promising but never lifts off and dunks into the abyss of country cheese

#1 Record by Big Star
Apr 25 2025

doesn't hurt but it's a bit bland

Apr 28 2025

how do they achieve this mix of cool, cheesy and unbelievably annoying?

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Apr 29 2025

trying really hard to think about reasons for 1 or 2 stars. guess it's not compleeeetely annoying, so 2 stars...

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Apr 30 2025

jazz & bebop - cozy for a moment or two - enjoy in small quantities!

Pink Flag by Wire
May 01 2025

starts exciting but after a few songs there's nothing new and it becomes mediocre

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 06 2025

an ocean of annoying country with some pearls of smooth rock

Face to Face by The Kinks
May 07 2025

Some nice ones, but not enough to enjoy the album in its entirety.

This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
May 09 2025

such an easy listen. runs down the ear canal like water... figuratively speaking... sorta...

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
May 12 2025

crazy how many well-known songs are in this album. although it's not my still, it's still very entertaining music!

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
May 26 2025

while it's not bad, it's also very generic apart from a few pearls. most of it i've forgotten it as soon as i've heard it.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
May 27 2025

as with most other royalty, i don't really care for this king

Different Class by Pulp
May 28 2025

finally a name to some of the radio songs lingering in my past. still sounds fresh, but it doesn't touch me that much.

Raw Like Sushi by Neneh Cherry
May 29 2025

rythmic, fresh and funky, although i'm not very fond of the sound i can't escape it fully either!

Steve McQueen by Prefab Sprout
May 30 2025

starts very promising and i enjoyed some songs beside them being cheesy sleazy pop hymns. but swiftly, the album fails to deliver consistent quality.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Jun 02 2025

Enjoyed listening through it, but somehow it feels low key annoying over time...

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Jun 03 2025

it's just a pleasure to listen to them playing with so much joy!

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Jul 30 2025

a surprisingly timeless classic!

Jul 31 2025

fascinating vivid ambient soundscapes. one of those albums i wouldn't have guessed that i would enjoy it that much. one of the tracks reminds me of UT's "Facing Worlds" soundtrack.

Bandwagonesque by Teenage Fanclub
Aug 01 2025

while the instrumentalization starts out interesting, this quickly turns into a dumpster fire of a series of boring rock ballad after boring rock ballad.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Aug 04 2025

i agree with the spotify minority that on this album, "Breakdown" is the real pearl while "American Girl" just has a catchy name, guhhhh. straightforward, enjoyable and reduce classic rock.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Aug 05 2025

solid classic rock album but i just didn't come into the right mood for that one.

Aug 07 2025

this album is a difficult but rewarding listen. "Siberian Khatru" struck a nerve!

Aug 08 2025

it's cheesy and all and I don't like cheesy. but it has a remarkable quality and a tremendous recognition value!

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Aug 11 2025

some songs, such as "zero" are dear to me, but times are over when i would pretend that i'd love that thing as a whole.

Abraxas by Santana
Aug 12 2025

smooth and easy listen from start to finish

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Aug 13 2025

the cheese is strong in this one. still, enigmatic in its own way. there's "Madman Across The Water" which stands out for me.

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Aug 14 2025

mostly annoying with a touch of nice rythm

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Aug 15 2025

i wasn't compelled to stop midway into the album so it's better than expected... i guess?

Aug 27 2025

look what we have here, an overrated album of an overrated band - but not by much. generally, i've enjoyed listening to it and the songs are way better than the studio versions but i haven't had any epiphany or sth...

Aug 28 2025

fresh and flashy, knew more than one song from... the radio?

Trio by Dolly Parton
Aug 29 2025

i'm not dolly parton material

Revolver by Beatles
Sep 02 2025

no matter how hard i try, i just can't muster the strength to like the beatles.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Sep 04 2025

new band to me, sounds intriguing and old me would have loved them even more.

Maxinquaye by Tricky
Sep 05 2025

what a newfound gem! it runs silky smooth down my throat and i eagerly gulped it all up!

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Sep 08 2025

classic rock that bores me to tears, it's okay in the okayishest sense possible. what else to give than 3 of 5 stars?

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
Sep 11 2025

classic qotsa - you get what you came for, no less, no more.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Sep 12 2025

i hear the silky jazzy, very enjoyable, voice. it's just not music that resonates with me.

xx by The xx
Sep 15 2025

soothing dreamy melancholic pop, stuff that let's my heart frequency drop.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Sep 17 2025

i knew that i'd would probably hate them, i only underestimated the amount...

Woodface by Crowded House
Sep 18 2025

there's some weird progressive potential buried in that whole mess. but basically it's a happy version of Slint on valium and speed at the same time.

Songs The Lord Taught Us by The Cramps
Sep 19 2025

in certain circumstances, i love that sound. for film music or in between other tracks. one full album? that's too much.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Oct 09 2025

mostly horrible with some strange nuggets of progressiveness that i wouldn't dare searching in such a soup of pop-ness.

Oct 10 2025

well, not surprisingly, it's not one of my favourites. but as far as my love for rap-ish stuff is able to go, i've enjoyed this as it's downtempo, oldschool and straight-up cool.

Oct 13 2025

don't like the rhymes, don't like the rythm, don't like the melodies, don't like the content. and it's a looooooong album.

Ten by Pearl Jam
Oct 14 2025

pearl jam got better albums, but it's still an outstanding one and one i regularly listen to!

The White Room by The KLF
Oct 16 2025

what a time capsule. they must have inspired heaps of other artists. not only music, also game soundtracks. that, or the whole decade sounded like that. not something to listen to on a regular basis, though.

Medúlla by Björk
Oct 17 2025

i've liked some of Björk's stuff in the past, but not that one. not at all.

Play by Moby
Oct 20 2025

iconic album that i've listened a lot. many tracks that i eagerly sucked up as a teenager. in its entirety as an album, there are some fillers, however.

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Oct 21 2025

oh, kendrick. i usually hate gagsta rap but i have a sweet spot for "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe". i don't even understand why, it's just "hangin' on the sofa and chillin'" music, which i don't even do usually. it's probably what i'd imagin i could enjoy listening to when i'd arrive doing it. ha.

Gris Gris by Dr. John
Oct 22 2025

it's weird. it's fascinating. it's annoying. it's smooth. it's everything at once. i've listened to it more often than most other albums of artists i haven't known before.

Hypnotised by The Undertones
Oct 23 2025

so unbelievably boring

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Oct 24 2025

i really love "Thin Line", not sure about the rest of the album but it feels solid enough, i mean, for a hip hop album.

wow, that oscillates heavily between genius and cheezy. but all in all, it's a finetuned and wondrous album with many different facets to explore

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Oct 29 2025

two times flaming lips in a row. but today i'm more prepared. stopped playback before half-time...

Want Two by Rufus Wainwright
Oct 30 2025

oof, just a tad more music and this could be another Radiohead. but as it is, difficult to listen to.

Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair
Oct 31 2025

cute little album with a nice mood to it. Nothing spectacular, but ok!

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Nov 03 2025

while it starts out like a classic folk/soul/blues album, it really shines in the end with jazzy and progressive influences, one part even reminding me of modern times nine inch nails!

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Nov 04 2025

mostly smooth and groovey tracks with some unmemorable fillers inbetween. solid.

Fisherman's Blues by The Waterboys
Nov 05 2025

what starts out as a promising album, especially listening to the grand "We Will Not Be Lovers", slowly but steadily turns into an mediocre folk album. at the beginning of disc 2, the allergic reaction kicks in and i had to stop. sad!

Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
Nov 06 2025

what an eclectic journey smoothly gliding over space and time. it's almost a bit too clean and glides right over me at times.

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Nov 07 2025

it's madonna, no surprises here.

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Nov 27 2025

i wholeheartedly give this record minimal stars, which is 1, which i believe to be one too many. with the exception of "California Dreaming" i'd like to unhear this.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Nov 28 2025

i would have given this album 5 stars blindly. love it since forever. "Seven Nation Army" is a classic sublime masterpiece.

Dec 01 2025

love how the different influences originating from this band/album are palpable in several bands i know (contemporary and older ones). at times it feels like Mars Volta, there's pink floyd in it, Porcupine Tree, Opeth and a myriad other flavours. i could go on and on! still it feels original, because certainly it is - the origin, a cornerstone of prog rock!

Violator by Depeche Mode
Dec 02 2025

mesmerizing flowing goth'n'roll masterpiece

The La's by The La's
Dec 03 2025

maybe wrong generation or wrong age, but i'm not in the mood for meaningless mediocre upbeat dream pop. i never am.

Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada
Dec 04 2025

a dreamlike experience i generally enjoyed very much, if only there weren't some nightmarish tracks in between...

Closer by Joy Division
Dec 05 2025

i generally love the monotonous slow meandering instrumentalization of this period. however, this album is just not entertaining enough and it feels like a more boring version of depeche mode

Odelay by Beck
Dec 08 2025

i know Beck and i know i liked some songs in the past. but this album just feels bland and mediocre

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Dec 09 2025

crazy how many songs i know despite it being soul. doesn't matter, though. i don't like soul.

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Dec 10 2025

it's not terrible, but i'm just not impressed.

The United States Of America by The United States Of America
Dec 11 2025

what a weird weirdo journey through space and time oscillating between boredom, annoying parts and pure genius. how am i supposed to rate this as a whole??

The Beach Boys Today! by The Beach Boys
Dec 12 2025

easy one. this horrible wooing will haunt me in my sleep.

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Dec 15 2025

this is my sixth beatles album. wtf? they can be as legendary as they want but there's no way this legitimates putting 6 of their albums into a best of compilation of all times. i'm starting to give them 1 star out of spite now...

The White Album by Beatles
Dec 16 2025

suitable for ren and stimpy background music

American Idiot by Green Day
Dec 17 2025

even back in the days when we would listen to this, i knew that i liked it mostly due to peer pressure. it's not that i hate it, it just feels very very mediocre

Guero by Beck
Dec 18 2025

better beck than the last beck

Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Dec 19 2025

dreamy playful postpunk. for me too bland and playful, going nowhere

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Dec 22 2025

despite my love for post rock, i've never become a Sigur Rós fan. i really dig "Ny batterí" but apart from that it's just a tad bit too otherworldly for me...

Heroes by David Bowie
Dec 23 2025

that sneaky bastard of an album catches on quickly, at least the second part!

L'Eau Rouge by The Young Gods
Dec 24 2025

i would love to like this, but in fact, i just don't.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Dec 25 2025

crazy ramba zamba, but too rough for me to really like it

Brown Sugar by D'Angelo
Dec 26 2025

i'll never get excited for rnb, although its funk elements are very flowy and i sorta enjoyed it to my capacities...

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Dec 29 2025

how could i sleepwalk around this gem for 20+ years of consuming music? candid, direct, wondrous and every song pushes me down a different pit stuffed with poisoned spikes and cotton candy

Synchronicity by The Police
Dec 30 2025

one of the few heavily positive toned albums i like. it feels goofy, honest, energetic.. and what a steam train of ideas! also: sting's voice, it's just otherworldly!

Tom Tom Club by Tom Tom Club
Dec 31 2025

while i like its dadaistic nature, the album is just not that appealing to me as it is the music equivalent of a plastic table compared to a metal and wood design.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jan 01 2026

ok, did the usual approach with reggae: 1. listen to a couple songs. 2. stop. 3. never think about it again. the usual votum: good music for smoking weed, rubbish for anything else.

Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers
Jan 02 2026

the initial electrifying pressing and raw flashyness of the record loses itself halfway through the album giving way to a more pulsating and flowy experience. for me, that's something i enjoy listening to in a club setting but not as an album. still, it's a refreshing listen that i've enjoyed more and more with every playthrough

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Jan 05 2026

starts out fabulous with "Cloud Nine". somehow they managed to botch the record for me on the second half with sub-par baby-baby songs, one after another...

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Jan 06 2026

every time i hear that devillish harmonica i shudder violently... apart from that, i don't even like his voice. shame that i constantly confuse him with David Bowie...

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
Jan 14 2026

maybe the language barrier, maybe the style or the instrumentalization. not my taste at all.

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Jan 15 2026

oh boy, that soothing folk stuff got on my nerves quickly although there's technically nothing wrong with it...

Trans Europe Express by Kraftwerk
Jan 16 2026

well, it's more art than music. is it something i would listen to every day? no. is it something i respect and enjoy? yes, definitely!

Parachutes by Coldplay
Jan 19 2026

unlike my first impulse, this album still shines brighter from song to song, when ignoring the cheesy aspects of it. liked it in my teens, still like it a lot now

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Jan 20 2026

at least it was over quickly

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Jan 21 2026

another album that i listened intensely in my teens. i still understand why i liked it then and i still enjoy the songs a lot, but it achieves 5 stars mostly for the sentimental value

Unhalfbricking by Fairport Convention
Jan 22 2026

quite the weird mixture of folk rock, sometimes falling down into the abyss of cheesy folk only to rise into prog heaven. verdict: a very unsatisfying 3 for the whole album.

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Jan 23 2026

well, i'm guilty as anybody growing up around the turn of the millennium to have listened to Britney voluntarily and/or involuntarily a thousand times. the hit songs of this album are ingrained in my memory and i can't help but feel nostalgia listening to them. of course, i prefer grindcore or being impaled with hot spears (ha, see what i did there?) to listening to this, but i'm unable to give it 1 star. must be a satanic ritual thingy ingrained in the record.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Jan 26 2026

there's not much to say about this album. this is as 3-material as it gets. i "like" it.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Jan 27 2026

i like the flowy lightheartedness of it all but i'm glad it's over, too

Your Arsenal by Morrissey
Jan 28 2026

horrible voice with boring instrumentalisation and boring lyrics

2112 by Rush
Jan 30 2026

proggy old-school rock. close call between 3 and 4

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Feb 04 2026

look, i love jazz and this is technically impeccable. but it is also an insufferable elitists' prog horror trip on acid

Machine Gun Etiquette by The Damned
Feb 05 2026

sophisticated spicy punk rock with intersting instrumental passages - still, the parts with singing mostly do feel cheap as almost all punk does.

The Rise & Fall by Madness
Feb 06 2026

"Our House" is one of those songs that i've heard so often involuntarily, i don't even have an opinion anymore. might as well ask what i think about trees in general. the rest of the album: not enough depth

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Feb 09 2026

wasn't a big surprise for me that the album left me unharmed but also unimpressed.

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Feb 10 2026

i have a strange fondness for Nick Cave. this album is not my favourite one, i appreciate his darker tones more.

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Feb 11 2026

soothing drony noise pop. for me, that train has long since departed. if i long for sth in that direction, my favourite drug still is Nine Inch Nails.

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Feb 12 2026

wondrous meandering playful sound from another crazy dimension. i like.

Feb 13 2026

most of this album is cheese, but boy, "Freedom! '90" is a song worth listening to! not even the memorable overused passages, but the second part with the bass solo and the bridge, ahhhh!

Smile by Brian Wilson
Feb 16 2026

that didn't vibe with me, like at all..

Metal Box by Public Image Ltd.
Feb 17 2026

argh, so annoying! at times there's a hint of radiohead glimmering through the noise but in the end i regret not having stopped at the end of the 10m opening track

Suzanne Vega by Suzanne Vega
Feb 18 2026

quirky pop, sometimes countryesque. not bad, but in the end, not my taste. like weak coffee, where's the punch?

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Feb 19 2026

just a straight forward heavy rock album without bells and whistles. aged very well!

S&M by Metallica
Feb 20 2026

metallica is one of very few bands i know that are able to botch a record with a symphonic orchestra. yeah, go on and just perform your songs unaltered with an orchestra in the background moving along. the hybris!

Tical by Method Man
Mar 04 2026

obviously i'm no big rap fan, however this album feels different. i love the instrumentalisation, the flow, even the raps are embedded beautifully

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Mar 05 2026

well, it's certainly creative! from an art perspective, this is an admirable attempt. nothing to listen for fun.

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Mar 06 2026

cozy jazzy ranch rock? still need a ranch and a rocking chair to enjoy this. it's okayish, but i wouldn't go that far to say i enjoy it...

Teen Dream by Beach House
Mar 09 2026

fluffy dream melodies, mostly without substance and impact

Mar 10 2026

Quirky indiesque rock with a remarkable depth ranging from dreamy-proggy Radiohead stuff to straight ass White Stripes galore. awesome addition!

Life's Too Good by The Sugarcubes
Mar 11 2026

another installation of nice but a bit over the top, still lovely, icelanding weirdo music

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Mar 12 2026

so fresh and relaxing, yet a lot of driving force. one of many master pieces from massive attack

Dare! by The Human League
Mar 13 2026

mostly annoying disco synth whatever

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Mar 16 2026

didn't have high hopes that this would please me and the experience was as expected. but: it wasn't that bad. not 1-star bad.

Mar 17 2026

in this horrible world we live in, this downtempo holiday tropical sunrise sandy beach doodleydoo, one song after another, feels just totally out of place and is unbearable to listen to. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION ON THIS MATTER!

Dog Man Star by Suede
Mar 18 2026

the release has a common problem of similar acts. it switches between genius instrumentalisation and a heavy whininess. all in all, very lovely release - especially The Asphalt World!

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Mar 19 2026

beyond it's mediocrity, horrible lyrics and some really great songs like "Take Me Out", it's just a nice album to enjoy overall.

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
Mar 20 2026

wow, this did absolutely nothing to me. except maybe causing overwhelming boredom.

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Mar 23 2026

smooth and enjoyable soul album, nicely instrumentalized without being annoying.

Among The Living by Anthrax
Mar 24 2026

i've always considered thrash metal amongst the most boring subgenres alongside death metal et al.

Let's Get Killed by David Holmes
Mar 25 2026

can't escape these enigmatic sound scapes yet they constantly escape me...

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Mar 26 2026

weird and captivating mixture of styles mostly psychedelic rock with folk influences. enjoyed it a lot but it's hard to put in words...

Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey
Mar 27 2026

weird and wondrous, couragious and raw. listening to this, i felt always on the edge, being pushed around. and this without being too aggressive or negative.

Inspiration Information by Shuggie Otis
Mar 30 2026

well, it's no catastrophe. just nothing i intend to listen on a regular basis...

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Mar 31 2026

i'm never in the mood for that. never.

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Apr 01 2026

two almost twenty minute adventures into a beautiful wondrous world.

Orbital 2 by Orbital
Apr 02 2026

i'm surprised by myself that i like this cheesy dance mix quite a lot. but what can i do...

Apr 03 2026

in my head, i put Fatboy Slim in the totally wrong musical drawer. additionally, i already knew and loved the first two songs on the album. however, the crazy energy of the album emptied my batteries very fast. it's not an everyday listen, to me at least.

Isn't Anything by My Bloody Valentine
Apr 07 2026

i symphatize with the noise and the feeling although it's not an easy listen i'd frequently enjoy

Apr 08 2026

as good as i can possibly like a rap album. i liked "Stan" back then and still do, even as a heavy metal listener.

Modern Kosmology by Jane Weaver
Apr 09 2026

soft and beautiful but not enough bite for my taste.

Tanto Tempo by Bebel Gilberto
Apr 13 2026

well, if that's not the soundtrack to boring lazy rich kids beach parties. boring.

Call of the Valley by Shivkumar Sharma
Apr 14 2026

if i ever wanted to throw an india themed party i know now what music to play...

Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective
Apr 15 2026

difficult to put into words. sort of a bunch of happy electronica hymns. honestly, not very bad but also not that catchy

Done By The Forces Of Nature by Jungle Brothers
Apr 16 2026

i swear, when forced to actively listening to it, i'd drift away to sleep in no time...

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Apr 17 2026

guess there's some additional layer in the lyrics (which i haven't checked in detail). apart from that, the music feels trashy. the only thing holding back a one-star review is the fact that A Perfect Circle covered a song of this album (Peace, Love And Understanding) and i love that one...

evermore by Taylor Swift
Apr 20 2026

close to torture

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Apr 21 2026

this album struck me by surprise. although cheesy at times, it always feels intimate, honest and executed mastefully

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Apr 22 2026

this must be the mars attacks song that makes the alien brains explode. i'm the alien.

Apr 23 2026

starts as a standard mediocre rap album but is quickly hitting top form with an enchanting mix of influences and genius tracks like "American Terrorist"! it's still hip hop, but somehow, i liked it!

Imperial Bedroom by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Apr 24 2026

why anybody would listen to that boring cliche trash is beyond me...

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Apr 27 2026

horrible

Phaedra by Tangerine Dream
Apr 28 2026

ugh, what a fever dream of an album. has a certain weird appeal to it

Peter Gabriel 3 by Peter Gabriel
Apr 29 2026

can't make up my mind here. i generally like it but it lacks some bite that other albums have...

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Apr 30 2026

sensible hymns with a soft touch and a hint of goofyness

The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
May 01 2026

ugh, so annoying. it's like listening to a hippie egomaniac in his band room and there's no way to escape

Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt
May 04 2026

horrible american folk country or whatever with some small moments of light shining through the clouds. not enough for a 3, unfortunately... what a waste of this voice.

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
May 05 2026

one of the big french chansonniers. an enigmatic album with a lot of power. i can't quite come around to like it more... it's too monotonous after a while

Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
May 06 2026

i don't have the strength in me to listen through a double cd country album

The New Tango by Astor Piazzolla
May 07 2026

uhh, 12 monkeys vibes. a brutal journey on a raw and twisted path.

California by American Music Club
Jun 11 2026

it's a weird journey. overall it's a solid dreamy album with a nice composition. but there are also a lot of squeaky and cheesy passages...

Let England Shake by PJ Harvey
Jun 12 2026

pretty solid pj harvey stuff with some björkesque allures that sometimes are annoying. anyways, i enjoyed listening to it a lot.

Elvis Is Back by Elvis Presley
Jun 15 2026

it's a typical elvis record. tastes vanilla.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Jun 17 2026

silky smooth jazz with a lot of pathos and patina. it's a lot to just browse through and enjoy. occasionaly this might be enjoable but certainly not an everyday listen.

More Specials by The Specials
Jun 18 2026

while i value the quirkiness of the album, it's getting annoying as hell in the longterm - i'm sorry.

Pump by Aerosmith
Jun 19 2026

can't find anything interesting on this record

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jun 22 2026

smooth melodies with a lot of soul, ok for a spin or two but nothing i would long to relisten on my own.

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Jun 23 2026

ughh, an endless stream of cheesy love songs

Dr. Octagonecologyst by Dr. Octagon
Jun 24 2026

strangely intriguing. additional points for random alien lore concept album. also: nice ambient background soundtrack snippets. man, it's hip hop but it's weirdly tickling my brain buds.

Doolittle by Pixies
Jun 25 2026

it's a standard pixies album that mostly sounds okay, has some shiny highlights, but is not that much above the average of many other noise alt rock bands' output.

Chore of Enchantment by Giant Sand

started out promising but somewhere between the 2082. and the 2128. bonus track variation of the same song he lost me. it's down to earth feel good sound with a nice musical tone and voice, the spark just never ignites.

surprised that i know some tracks of this, probably through some film soundtracks but i can't recall what. anyways, it got a nice feeling to it but overall, it's a bit too downtempo moody/bluesy for my taste.

very interesting. the poppy surface is soon shattered, making room for driving electronica beats and even some dark synthwave parts.

Goo by Sonic Youth
Jul 01 2026

sweet edgy noise rock

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
Jul 02 2026

despite knowing some of the songs and not hating them generally, overall it's such a creepy and sleazy record

Copper Blue by Sugar
Jul 03 2026

feels like a pointless noise carpet leading to boredom nirvana

Devotional Songs by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Jul 06 2026

a bit too exotic for my taste

The Man Who by Travis
Jul 07 2026

yeah, "Why Does it Always Rain On Me?" is cute and all. but it's not enough to save the rest of the album from mediocrity...

Electric Music For The Mind And Body by Country Joe & The Fish
Jul 09 2026

starts out as basic hippie album but clings on to you and emerges with some jazzy bluesy pearls that are deep and complex

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
Jul 10 2026

ugh, mostly unbearable.

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
Jul 13 2026

quite the annoying album

Jul 15 2026

this cotton candy trippiness of air is their trademark. it sucks you in for some songs. with the length of an album, it gets a wee bit boring

Bright Flight by Silver Jews
Jul 16 2026

always when i'm about to stop that messy school boy record there's a spark of beauty when instrumentalisation and that oftentimes horrible voice come together. then it's over and i try not to be annoyed.

Scum by Napalm Death
Jul 17 2026

of all the solid 1-star albums, i enjoyed this the most so far

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Jul 20 2026

lowkey wishing me the napalm death album back

Kings Of The Wild Frontier by Adam & The Ants
Jul 21 2026

sounds exactly like an 80ies punk meets goth band. while the goofier tracks are not my favourites, there are a few that have a more stern approach which i quite like.

Jul 22 2026

there's just not enough drive in this for me to enjoy

Jul 24 2026

while i love his voice and the overall energy of the songs, the love theme is abhorrently boring.

Quiet Life by Japan
Jul 27 2026

weirdly intoxicating with a nice downtempo disco groove without being annoying. didn't think that this would be possible!

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Jul 28 2026

even if this singer-songwriter stuff is more on the rocky side - it doesn't make me very happy.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Jul 29 2026

hippiesque hippie dreamscapes that are quite alright most of the time

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Jul 30 2026

a mixture of beatles and hippie sound, mostly very bland, but their "Bracelets of Fingers" is sort of intoxicating.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jul 31 2026

one of those rare albums (or artists!) i didn't know but blew my mind. otherworldly melodies paired with a first-class voice!

Clandestino by Manu Chao
Aug 03 2026

not sure why i have a sweet spot for this album. maybe nostalgia? anyway, i find it uplifting and very entertaining listening to it.

Lady In Satin by Billie Holiday
Aug 04 2026

although the voice is gorgeous and the music is overall soothing, the theme quickly bores me and halfway through i just want to stop it.

Real Life by Magazine
Aug 06 2026

what a coincindence, after the Buzzcocks, there's the inofficial successor. similarly uninteresting to me.

Slayed? by Slade
Aug 07 2026

the voice is annoying. the sound is bland. the topics are boring.

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Aug 11 2026

love the groove on the more jazzy/bluesy tracks. but there is just one too many cheesy track on the album to enjoy it entirely.
