Fun Little Rock and roll album. Never listened to straight Elvis before and it was alright!
This album was kinda all over the place for me. It felt a little long, too many experiments into different genres and and at one point I felt like she tried too hard. But then at the same time I felt like she was arranging for cinema, telling a story which maybe just didn’t get. Overall I was impressed with her voice and musicality. I think I need to listen to it more and the album will grow in me. Wonderland was a delightful song if I had to choose one off the 18 track album.
Rock and roll with a little country and blues fun!
Power pop princess with a lot of big hits. Album has a modern candy pop feeling, up beat and catchy. Commercial success obviously, with all the successful singles, but there were a couple annoying tracks I couldn’t listen to like Welcone to New York and Out of the Woods. Had to skip through as a bit one dimensional and repetitively annoying. Glad she’s comfortable with evolving and see her transform from a country singer to pop diva but maybe some of her authenticity is lost?
Not a fan, but definitely I would categorize it as an epic album for any metal fans. Wild and impressionalbe guitar solos and dramatic volcals. Probably amazing live .
Easy listing chill vibes. Love it.
Enjoyed this very much. A few strange little tunes especially the last song, which quite frankly I couldn’t listen to but overall enjoyed the album a lot. So much talent, creativity…and a lot of mind expanding drugs were had in the creation of this album.
Wow this was nostalgic. There was a place and time for the RHCP. Enjoyed Californiacation and Otherside…but oh the scat…it’s so bad..seriously….
It was too much for me. Not a fan. It’s too metal, too loud and didn’t pique my interest. Was just waiting for it to end.
Twangy country rock isn’t normally something I like, but I found the tunes easy to listen to and overall a great album. Felt transported to the country side, especially with the song The Christian Life. And what a great cover. When you pick it up, you know what you’re going to get.
Lovely folk rock albums with soft voices.
A few bangers but the other songs sound too noisy for me. Nostalgic.
Really enjoyed this album. It has a unique voice and style that’s kinda infectious. Could see teenagers feeling these songs at the time it came out.
Janet Jackson was ahead of her time creating a social justice album. So many good songs and it's wild how the themes still resonate today. This is a classic and should be on everyone's list.
First time listening to this fine record. Influences of the Beatles, Beck, a little Cobain and the lyrics are raw and and romantic at times. Layers of beautiful arrangements, catchy tunes and nostagic moments.
Not really into that American country vibe. But did feel transported to that local watering hole where the country folk hang.
Beautiful album. Could listen to this any time of day. The arrangements bring you into a fantasy world full of curious adventures and playful storylines. Each instrument a unique character’s voice speaking out and telling you it’s story. Jazzy chill vibes that calm the soul.

Gorgeous voice, but I felt like the album was all over the place and unfortunately none of the songs really got me.
This album is so good. There’s just something about his voice. He draws you in so quick and you can’t leave!
First off the album cover is so scary and messed up. Second I’m not sure why this album is on this list. I can’t stand FD’s annoying whinny voice, let alone for the whole. Will admit Rollin is nostalgic but I don’t actually like it, and good for him for making up a new genre. But really the language is too nasty and the songs are not good.
I just don’t like this kinda music. I tried to listen with an open ear but there’s just something about this style of music that I cannot warm up to. The guitar playing was amazing, as were the vocals. I liked the cover of You Really Got Me by the Kink's, and wished really wished I liked this energetic classic rock album as everyone else does!
Dramatic and groovy album with rich arrangements. Enjoyed the trill-loving Hum Bewafa Hargiz Na Thay and the upbeat One Two Cha Cha Cha. Mera Pyaar Shalimar is also a gorgeous track with simple lead vocals - love how Shalimar is sung drawn out. This movie soundtrack was epic. Maybe I'll watch the movie one day.
It's experimental noise at it's finest. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I had a hard time listening to it, but good for them to make this kind of album.
One of my fav albums of all time. Each song is a powerful story that captures you with the beautiful vocals. Even though it’s about heartbreak, the songs aren’t sappy but raw and I keep singing along and tapping my fingers to the beat.
The title of this album made my heart ache, and the songs got my heart even more. Country life ballads at its finest. I wouldn’t normally gravitate to this type of music but it has touched me.
I tried so hard to finish it but couldn’t do the last 2 songs. The masculinity oozing in every song was over in your face, and just too much for me. I know people love a bunch of these songs and I know them too but so many GNR songs in a row just destroyed me. It was too much. I could someone listening to these songs to pump themselves up before an interview or presentation. Fueling on the testosterone….barf. Ha.
Super groovy vibes that I enjoyed very much.
Funky and groovy tunes that make you feel good and sooth the soul. Fun and creative album that’s not to be missed.
Immediately transported to the countryside. Found myself bobbing along happily and tapping my feet.
Couldn't get past the first 20 min track. Listened to bits and pieces of the other tracks, and Goldie seems very talented, but just not my jam...Too repetitive and aimless sounding.
Some talent there for sure but maybe a bit too wacky for me. Didn't responate too much with me.
Hmmm...I think this album is too much Morrissey and it kinda all sounds the same. Was disappointed.
Really enjoyed this album. Starts groovy and then takes you on a psychedelic daydream with angelic voices, smooth guitar and drawn-out sunlight touching you gently. And what a bold album cover!
I enjoy a few songs on this album. A Rush and a Push and the Land is Ours, Girlfriend in a Coma and Stop Me if You Think You've Heard This One Before. The album feels good and as cliche as it sounds, brings me back to retro nights in my carefree university days.
Fun music. Enjoyed it very much. Wished I was the concert, but I definitely felt like I was there while listening to these groovy tunes.
Forgot about this album and how great it is. So much energy and what a voice! I enjoyed listening to this again.
A fun album full of cool pop-y synth energy! The vocals, guitars and all arrangements work so well together. Lyrics are a bit silly sometimes, but honestly, it's just one good song after another. Reminded me a bit of Weezer at times, and sometimes talking heads. Overall great album that holds up to today.
Love this album. Karen O's voice just exudes that confidence and cool that hooks you in. The songs are powerful and electric. Makes you want to rock out on the dance floor like a carefree youth.
This album brings me back to my middle school years. These songs are just as good today - raw, emotional and intimate. The album highlights what could have been had Kurt Kobain's tragedy been avoided.
This album just oozes coolness. Trip-hop queen with a voice that captures you with its smooth melodic and sometimes eerie sounds. Probably one of my all time favourite albums.
Old school hip hop rap vibes that groove so well and keep your head bopping. Reminds me of the style of Janet Jackson and Salt N' Pepper. Never heard of Neheh Cherry. Enjoyed this.
Absolutely love this album. It exudes true coolness and has an ethereal sound that penetrates the soul. Gives you a natural high with all those unique sounds in all the arrangements. Plus it reminds me of one of my high school crushes.
Beautiful powerful voices in these retro tunes. Can’t believe this album is 40 years old. I’d say it holds up!
Cool cover. Great album. Didn’t realize I knew so many songs. A very fine album for fine folks.
Hard, energetic and unapologetic. I remember when this came out. My cousin and I got it at HMV on CD and we blasted it, jumping around in her room. Just as good today. This albums Dan help you power through anything.
Was looking forward to this. I thought I liked this album but it's a little too all over the place for me. And maybe because the kids were around...I could not get comfortable with the lyrics. A few good songs like So Fresh, So clean, BOB and Ms Jackson but honestly, but honestly I couldn't get into the rest on the album. I surprised myself.
This guy tells it as it is, although sometimes the lyrics are quite unexpectedly poetic. A bit punk, rock and roll, and sometimes kinda sweet. Overall some catchy tunes.
Classic smooth sounds. Great voice, but I find it a little bland for me. Too safe.
Personal, romantic, groovy and understatedly chill. I think I got swept off my feet with Ocean's cool vibes.
What an iconic album cover for such a great album. Rock and roll influencers of the time. So many bangers. Just makes me want to shake my body and let it all out.
Not my cup of tea. Can't stand this guy's raps and rhymes.
It's a quirky and experimental album - solid tunes. Stand out songs for me are Sara, That's Enough for Me, I know I'm not Wrong, Beautiful Child and Walk a Thin Line. Love those harmonies.
Love this album. So many cool bangers brining on the cool vibes.
First time really listening to Amy Winehouse. What an incredible voice.
Heavy rock and roll energy. Uncompromising in sound and style. The opening song is epic. Although not my cup of tea, I can now appreciate the sound and talent of Rush.
Cool understated album cover for what the songs are. Wild jazzy, psychedelic sounds. Unfortunately not my cup of tea, but can see how talented Soft Machine is.
Soo good and so cool. Great dynamism of the vocals and epic guitar in all the songs, even that unexpected sliding guitar draws you in.
Just can't give the love and appreciation that most people have for Bon Jovi and his classic rock vibes.
Timely album to review with the passing of Ozzy. The opening is epic with bell and guitars. Pure bad ass sound that probably rocked your socks off live. After listening to this, you know why they're the pioneers of heavy metal.
Banger of an album. Love the funky beats, pure authenticity and fearless one-of-a-kind style. When this first came out, I remember loving Paper Planes, but now I can appreciate the other gems on this record (Jimmy, World Tour, Come Around).
Dreamy electronic beats that kept me going on my work day. Could imagine listening to this album while on an epic drive to the country or the coast soaking in the gorgeous landscapes.
Beautiful country folk songs.
That classic American kinda rock album. Talented, with lots of stories to tell, but just can't hook me. I think I'm just too far removed to even try to like it.
Janice Joplin is a powerhouse. Her performance is quite something, ripping you out of your seat with her rock’n vocals. Never heard anyone else with such an impressive sound. Sounds like she went through so much. Impressive.
Love this album. It’s one of my favs. A variety songs and songs full of emotion and stories.
Enjoyed it, but didn’t love It. Frankly some of the songs sounded too slow or they were missing something. Also a bit corny or cliched in lyrics and themes.
So fun and electrik! Love it.
