Songs Of Leonard Cohen
Leonard CohenI like his soft, melodious voice, and his lulling guitar. Very calming and the selection of songs are very story-like.

Another banger from MJ, showing us why he was known as the King of Pop
Huh, so that's who Buddy Holly is. This album has classics and you can hear where the evolution of certain musical chords came from. A bit outdated, but it is almost 70 years old.
I like this blues man. The "Mannish Boy" song is the one with the often heard repeated riff.
Maybe it was just the songs in this selection, but Mr Hendrix is an amazing guitarist but not as much a singer. The things he does to a guitar are magical, with a transportive quality.
The amazing Cash songs of HURT, The Man Comes Around. In My Life was a surprisingly touching ballad. His cover of Personal Jesus is also mellow and one of the better ones. The gravelly tones of Mr Cash are fitting for the songs of this album.
Apart from the "Right Here, Right Now", I've never heard any other songs from this album, or indeed, any other Fatboy Slim songs at all. They're pretty good. I think I've heard "Praise You" before as well, that's another good one.
First time I've heard a full Beatles album, and not a cover. I like Mr Postman, Roll Over Beethoven (first seen from the dog movies), Hold me Tight. Even though it's a bit old, you can still hear their influences today (2025)
Ah, Gangster Rap. First full album of it I heard. The beats are catchy, the slang is understandable, and the voices are deep and smooth, and the pain they convey is real. I had an appreciation for it from the movie "Straight Outta Compton", and the rest of the album doesn't disappoint.
Kind of ironic that I get this album recommended just as news that Ozzy Osbourne passed away (22/07/2025). Some great memorable tracks and electric guitar solos.
eh, its okay
The fifth and final Simon and Garfunkel album has plenty of expected high hallmarks, such as "Bridge over Troubled Waters". A combination of piano, guitar and soothing vocals to coat the whole album in good vibes, such as "So Long Frank Lloyd Wright" and the parts of "The Boxer" that suddenly add the brass section.
Although the lyrics are impactful and the melodies fitting, the main vocalists' voice doesn't exactly fit the tone.
It's okay. They've got passion.
These ballads are great! I love the Orpheus song
eh, its okay
