This album is greatness from beginning to end. Melodic, harmonic, raw and just good ole rock and roll with a southern twang and gentleness. Definitely worth a listen from time to time. Victim of love is my personal fav. Trying to imagine all these legendary musicians in a studio collaborating makes me smile

Huge sound and big feels. Just what we needed for the early 2000s. Flawless blend of synth pop vibes and indie rock. "Smile Like you mean it" is a personal mantra that I use daily. Clever lyrics, great for karaoke

Jazz is an unfamiliar genre for me but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this during breakfast. The fact that it's recorded live is impressive. I like to imagine the collaboration between the musicians and what the atmosphere must have been like in 1961. I definitely need to explore more in the genre

I enjoyed the sounds of this album yet was unable to connect to the lyrics. I do question the authenticity of the work and it's something I MUST learn about. I am happy to see non English work on the list! Let's go Spanish!!!!

Where would music be without this epic artist?! I forgot how spicy the lyrics are, especially for 1982! So progressive both sonically and lyrically. I would give this 6 stars if I could!

Experimental sounds with questionable lyrics

quality southern rock. "American girl" is probably the only song I would listen to again.

Lovely sound but Becks vocals just don't fit here in my opinion.

5 is not enough stars for this absolute masterpiece. When I listened to this in 1984 (cassette tape) I knew it was something special. It still brings me so much joy and now I have a deeper understanding of it's social, cultural and artistic impact
