Seminal Jazz Funk

I liked this more than I thought I would.

I was a little shocked at the weakness on the non hit tracks

She's not my favorite but all of these songs were played too much back in the day. There's not a lot of filler on here which is good.

i think this is better than I first thought but not sure it reaches must listen to status. Interesting band and lacking enough catchy tunes to keep strong interest in.

They say that this band is like Radiohead. But I hear them more like Coldplay with a slightly harder edge. Wish there was more Radiohead.

Was not sure I was going to like this after all these years but it still worked and was still catchy.

Yeah the songs are long and yeah the cover looks like an ad for a ren faire but I still like the songs and I don’t care that it looks like a renfaire. I think that’s impressive.

This is a great album. Perhaps because I did not play it as much as Nevermind the songs sound pretty fresh and interesting. And why do all the kids wear their shirts?

I am consistent surprised how hard it is to connect to this band and easy it is to connect to New Order. But it is a true statement.

The farther I get away from grunge the less I like it. Not enough melodic sensibility for me. These are decent songs but nothing I would go back to.

3+, I liked the songs and it's always interesting to listen to early Who but not sure this would be an essential album.

This was entirely unexceptional but not horrible.

I was hoping to like this more. The opening riffs of smoke on the water are amazing. But there's still a bit of sneer in this I can't lose. Very high 3.4

These are great songs and even the non-hits have some meat on the bone.

I've probably listened to this too much as the songs have become slightly thin. But still all a great album. And sad too.
