1001 Albums Summary

Very hit or miss. The music was on point, but sometimes the harmonizing was a bit much. When a song worked it worked Very well.

Really impressed. I had heard of them, but I guess I hadn't listened to them. Excellent production. I found a new band for me.

Tbh it was just alright. My sweet lord is an incredible song but the rest is a bit of a let down. It was just alright.

Alright so this is MY review. Pearl Jam Ten is one of the most influential albums of my life. From the first needle drop until the end, it takes me to another time. This album came out when I was 16. And at 16, I didn't know what the hell i was doing. I was awkward. I was loud. I was passionate. When I would listen to Ten, maybe I couldn't make out what was being said, but I could feel every last sound that was coming out of my speaker. I could feel the frustration in his voice. I could feel the alienation. I felt like that album is saying exactly what I want to, even if people couldn't understand it. Music is about how it makes you feel and the ability to take you back to another time. This album does both of these things as well as any other. Top 10 all time album for me. I would give it 6 stars if possible.

You can see the promise in tom petty with this early album. When it hits it really hits. But you can also see his search for his sound.
