First Impression before Listening:
I haven’t heard much Elton John. I’ve never even heard a full album by him. I’m quite fond of the song, “ Don't let the Sun go Down on Me” especially the version with George Michael. I love Tiny Dancer but I haven’t heard another song off this album.

Pretty boring. Long. An entire album of ballads can be a bad idea. Because ballads should be performed in moderation.

Folky instrumentation and lyrics. At least it’s not a piano ballad.

Cheesy lyrics. The piano at the end of the chorus sounds exactly like tiny dancer.

All round not a bad album, just an underwhelming one. Tiny Dancer is a fantastic song and no other song is even worth mentioning on this album. Repetitive piano/ballad parts and boring lyrics mixed with long and experimental instrumentation make this album a chore.
Cream is a great band. Eric, Ginger and Jack are fantastic musicians.

I respect Sly and the Family Stone. Im not a fan of soul music. It’s very repetitive sounding. The verse, pre chorus, chorus, bridge rock n roll format is not what they go by. So the songs feel like they’re repeating themselves.
