This is my first album on here. I mostly listen to 2000s hip hop so this is very interesting to hear something from the 80s. Some of the songs werent for me but its a very good album. Safe to say that i will revisit this album again.

Well, this album certainly wasnt for me. Its really just boring covers of 50s pop songs that could put me to sleep. Then imagine my surprise when i found out this guy has 104 albums. I can see why some people like the album tho. Its not a personal favorite, but it has good production and lyrics so i will give this a 2/5. I will not be revisiting this album again.

This is my 4th album review on here, so ive never really listened to 60s rock before as a 2000/10s hiphop listener. That being said, this is an album that gets better after every listen. I can only imagine what the VU & Nico album sounds like. Easily 4 stars.

If i was rating this just based off of how much i enjoyed it, this would be a 1. But we’re not doing that here. Unlike the only album i actually gave a 1, heaux tales, Taylor actually has talent so i think its fair to give 1989 a 3 star rating.
Best songs are the hits that 99% of us have already heard before listening to the album. But by far my favorite song is wildest dreams.

All jokes aside, This is a good example of German electronic music. And not just Autobahn, all of Kraftwerk. Neu! could have learned a few things from this album when they made neu 75. Great job Kraftwerk. Some may say that this album is a great craft-work!
I don’t think I can put this on the same level as Trans Europe Express and I haven’t listened to The Man Machine yet. Especially as I don’t find Mitternacht to be that appealing. That song is kind of like Moonchild off of In the Court of the Crimson King. I will say that Morgenspaziergang, which translates to “Morning Stroll” in english sounds exactly like a morning stroll, and I find that to be the most be the most beautiful song on the album.
I’m debating on whether to give Autobahn 4 stars or 5 stars. Three of the tracks are very forgettable, but the other two alone beat most of the three star albums that have already been generated for me. I’m going to give this 4 stars though.

While that was going on i saw two drunk young men walk into the accessible bathroom with a fully tattooed goth whore and they started to have a spitbogging contest inside while a guy in a wheelchair was patiently waiting to use the toilet. I felt bad for the guy.

This is my second REM album, the other one I got was Green. In my opinion, the later REM albums (from green and on) seem to be wayyy more boring than previous albums like Murmur and Document. Even so, I still liked this album, and I’ll definitely be giving those other two albums 5 stars, but I’m afraid that Automatic For The People will remain at 4.

Much like Slippery When Wet, which I got a few days ago, Appetite For Destruction is an album that many people seem to have really mixed feelings about. Three of the songs on this album, Welcome To The Jungle, Paradise City, and Sweet Child O’ Mine are overplayed on most radio stations. But just because they’re overplayed doesn’t make them worse. I regularly listen to songs off of this album and I am going to give it 5 stars.

Cool, funky, and groovy. If this was made by a respected 50s/60s jazz musician, it would be getting all the praise in the world, calling it a revolutionary piece of art. For me, I am excited that I had the chance to listen to this before I die. My favorite track in particular is Shellback. Overall, seems very futuristic and makes a good soundtrack to relax to. 5 stars.

Wow, great album to celebrate the 4th of July and America’s 250th birthday. I love every song on this album. Unlike other country albums I’ve gotten so far, this one makes you feel like you’re actually in her hometown in Tennessee with her while she tells you stories from her life. And I’m saying this as someone who usually doesn’t enjoy country. I do have one complaint though, WHY AM I GETTING THIS NOW!? I’M GOING TO BE IN THE SMOKIES NEXT WEEK! WHY AM I NOT GETTING THIS THEN? I suppose it’s better than getting another Elvis Costello album today.

Kanye’s debut album. This is my least favorite of the three albums he has on the list and its still a 10/10 for me, which really shows how great Kanye is AS A MUSICIAN, and maybe someday he will be as great of a person.
Two Words and Family Business are two very beautiful songs and The New Workout Plan may be one of the most fun-to-listen songs of all time.

As for this one, I like jazz but I can only listen to it for so long before I get bored. So I give this one 3 stars.

Second Metallica album. This is a really beautiful live album. Many have recommended in the reviews that this should be replaced with Ride The Lightning. Personally, I think RTL should be added but this one should also stay. It’s hard to believe that symphonic metal could work, but it does! The live version of Nothing Else Matters brings me to tears each time I listen to it and in my opinion, it’s even better than the original. This is an easy 5 stars.
HOWEVER
If we go to the wikipedia page, we can see all sorts of fancy stuff like the tracklist, producers, and where it was recorded. But we can also see the runtime of this album, which happens to be 133 minutes and 14 seconds. I have a rule when I review albums that says that albums over 90 minutes get one star dropped from its rating. So with how much I love this album, I must give it 4 stars. And yes, this will apply to the Beatles and Stevie Wonder. I’m not singling out Metallica.

Usually when i see “won the mercury prize” i know that I'm going to be in for a very boring album. That was not the case with this one. This one was very fun to listen to and i would go as far as saying that this is my second favorite album of the 2010s behind To Pimp A Butterfly. I am definitely going to check out some of his other work.

Why cant every british album be this good?
You know your dad’s friend that owns at least 3 motorcycles and has vintage 60s posters all over the walls, has fuzzy dice in their 1970s Impala, has 12 neon light-up clocks on their wall, one for each hour of the day, hosts the town super bowl party every year, and always has nothing but beer in the fridge? This is the type of music he listens to. I mean, it’s not bad, but I don’t see myself ever listening to this again.
As I was reading the reviews, I noticed that people were talking about this album in a negative manner, mentioning that Mike used virtually every instrument ever created while recording this album. However, I would like to note something that nobody else has seemed to mention. The first 14 minutes of the 1st track contains dabbling on a keyboard with very high-pitched notes. Why is this important, you may ask? Well, the answer has to do with the United States government. It’s a known fact that the government uses birds to spy on everyday civilians, including you and me. But it’s common to note that birds are extremely sensitive to high frequencies. Given that, I had the brilliant idea to loop the first 14 minutes of Tubular Bells pt. 1 and play it outside near all the bird nests. Since then, I haven’t seen a bird in ages! And I would highly recommend that you do the same. And the best part, you can even enjoy the music! Together, we can make a change. Place a tape containing the first 14 minutes of this album near all the bird nests and watch as the government surveillance props fly away! That’ll make the IRS mad!
Good but all the songs sound very similar.
I felt like I was eavesdropping on a college volleyball team’s locker room at midnight drinking after winning a game, which is basically what it is. This album is so bad that it actually works. That’s one way of saying that I would rather listen to this than any Elvis Costello, Kings Of Leon, or Dexy’s Midnight Runners album.
It didn’t suck. But I don’t plan on listening to this again. I could think of 1001 better albums.

There’s a saying that the best ATCQ album is the first one you listened to. For me, that was Midnight Marauders, which should’ve absolutely been included in the book. But the two albums here are also amazing. They are a group that (at least half of the time) raps about things other than drugs and violence or objectifying women. The jazzy beats are more interesting than 75% of actual jazz. I found myself several times focusing on the beats. On top of all of that, it really helps that Q-Tip has a really entrancing voice. Overall, one of the best albums I’ve gotten so far. RIP Phife Dawg
