touch too much is a major highlight. super thumpy foot stompy rhythm section. Bon Scott sounds badass on it. riffs work well. sounds like the one KISS song I was made to love you or whatever it’s called. this album made me decide that I actually DO kinda enjoy AC/DC. I thought every song sounded too much alike (and they do), but it’s enjoyable similarity for the most part. just sounds like 70s hard rock. Cool solos. 6.1/10.

tom n jerry music. feels like adderall and coffee
I really enjoy this album. Might have surpassed Exile as my favorite Stones album with this listen. Can’t go wrong w these guys. The long ass outro on Can’t Hear me Knocking that I just learned was improvised WOWZERS. I Got the Blues is such a beautiful song that I’d really never given a chance. Sister Morphine too. The acoustic rhythm and electric riffing overplay and then the drums hit like halfway through it FUCK. Mick jagger is also a poet. Sweet cousin Cocaine lay your cool hand on my head. Some fucking rockstars. The blending of styles on here is something else- they could do everything. Dead Flowers’s saloon cowboy thumpy cigarette smoking vibe into the beautiful orchestral doing-shrooms-in-the-woods with your girl and being satisfied with your life Moonlight Mile. That’s one of my favorite songs ever. I remember driving riley home from pittsburgh and listening to Moonlight Mile with her asleep on my shoulder and feeling at peace with the universe. Such a calmingly serene piece of art. Sticky Fingers is so good. There’s not one bad song on it.
deep purple aight. 70s hard rock woo. I never thought they were anything special and this essentially confirmed it. Fiyah in the sky
first experience w the smiths. Apparently l Morrissey sucks and I shouldn’t like him but this album was cool. Indie rock jangly guitars blend of styles cool voice super British. I like the stuff that they influenced but not really super into this like obsessed. this hit pretty nicely though. Rest In Peace lizzy
queen always been relatively mid to me. They’re ok. There’s a few highlights on here (Father to Son, The March of the Black Queen) but this album is just queen as theyve always come. At least in my perception. It’s like really safe 70s rock. Freddie Mercury a legend but this album was just ok to me
I really like this album. High energy garage rock revival sounds like it was Strokes era which I can appreciate. Very high energy. A little bit too garage rocky to be a perfect five for me. They have their thing and they don’t really deviate from it. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it I guess. However i like my 2000s garage rock bread buttered a certain way, and that way is influenced by 80s new wave and post punk. This is more stoogey. I can definitely get down with it, but I’m prolly never gonna listen to this one again. Veni Vidi Vicious is better
this is a fucking crazy album. I’d heard of it before in passing on Reddit or something and probably listened to one or two songs and wrote it off as too weird, but maybe I was just too lazy to give it a real chance. This sounds like nothing else I think. Even today. I feel like we wouldn’t have alternative hip hop like we have it today a la DOOM and Gravediggaz and possibly even the entire horror rap thing that I don’t know much about if this didn’t come out when it did. Dan the Automator went totally original for all of these beats. Can really hear the Sun Ra Parliament Funkadelic influence in how weird it sounds I vaguely remember Blue Flowers being in a videogame. That’s probably my favorite on here. His flow is super different. He almost sounds like Gil Scott Heron with the borderline spoken word thing going on. I’m thankful this one got recommended to me.
dre is so good. I never LOVED this album or NWA for that matter. I definitely enjoy solo Dre, Cube, and Eazy more than I enjoy them as a collective. I feel like they each had more to prove on their own, especially dre. Everyone’s heard the chronic, but this is what made dre dre. Definitely a classic. Even if it is dre though, Beats are a little too dated for me.
This is cool. Good indie jam post punk folky sound. Bass on What Gets Heard is insane. Sounds a bit like the Heads and Grateful Dead mixed. David Byrne like vocal delivery and lyrics. Time with You is my favorite track on here.
underrated band maybe. funky cool. still kinda mid better than I thought
dis shit NOICE. Peter gabriel progboy goat genesis GANG. solsbury hill makes me wanna go on a ketamine bender. swing your dick and balls mr gabriel because you were ahead of your time with this one. sadly Phil Collins is the better musician. Minus one star. solid debut from an influential king
not as thrashy as I’d have liked because that is the metal that I prefer. I can tell that this is objectively good music but it isn’t my cup o tea
NOICE. never really care much for Tommy. This is a cool debut. maybe on a bored day I’ll check out more of his stuff. RIP. nice little 70s rock project ain’t nothing wrong wit dat.
wow. Glad this found me when it did. adult music. morose ornate and super full
YB better. just kidding. i prefer the east coast sound to the west coast sound when the discussion is between biggie and Pac. I don’t love Tupac’s brand of g funk. I feel like it’s Less musically interesting than either of Big’s two releases. He had dj premier, puff, RZA, etc making beats for him. Pac had no one that I can pull off the top of my head. I hate that my review of this album that was pretty alright turned into a biggie PAC debate but I feel like they’re so intertwined that it’s ok. I used biggie to talk about how a lot of Tupac’s beats were flat as fuck and that’s why this album was just alright and nothing Special to me
FUCK yeah. didn’t know shit about this outside of Cars, which I found annoying when my dad would play it one million times in the car. One of like sixty-eighty songs that he’d play over and over. But this album Jesus Christ dude. 1979 it had to be way ahead of its time. Zero electric guitar and it fucking ROCKS. I love 80s synth pop. This is the exact 80s synth pop that I like. One hour and nouns minutes of super layered and delicately produced utter bops. I love his aesthetic too. That androgynous robot shit. Screams David Bowie but less of a rockstar and more of a clone. This dude had to have been some kind of musical savant. This was really impressive and I almost have no words. I’m gonna listen again.
some good jawns on here. Skynyrd is skynyrd idk. Tuesdays gone makes me think of happy Gilmore
