Oasis is still fine.
Jaco still the goat.
Some neat instrumentation and harmonies. Just not for me.
Pretty much perfect.
Classic
I can appreciate it and why it’s great. It’s just not my genre.
Hard to argue against this one, even if it’s still not my genre of choice.
Bad.
Oops almost all bangers.
Maggot Brain alone makes this a 4.
Just not for me
🐐
Some cool Kraftwerk-y sounding stuff, but other than that it was kind of forgettable.
Straight walk off
Straight walk off
Straight walk off
It’s nice that the 10 minutes of reggae I can listen to at any one time included Lively Up Yourself and No Woman, No Cry
This album rips so hard.
Shleep often shlaps. Very positive 3-stars.
Turns out most vocal jazz is still very much not my thing.
Not as good as i remembered.
NICK CAVE RULES
Hard to give an album with Layla and an incredible arrangement (though not as good as the original) of Little Wing less than 4 stars.
Enjoyed this one way more than I thought I would. Solid.
Who would have thought the songs co-written by Billy Corgan would be the best? Me. I would think that.
Guilty Conscience is still insane.
Some cool Bossa Nova I’ve never heard before
This only gets a 3 because the instrumentals are pretty cool.
Solid stuff.
Some cool stuff, but mostly forgettable. Wish we could get half stars. 2 feels too punitive, 3 feels too much. Oh well
Not my favorite Afghan Whigs album. But solid.
It’s insane to me that we’re going to get two Verve albums over a host of other albums. A Northern Soul is just a mediocrer Oasis. At least Urban Hymns rules and we’ll get that at some point.
Riders on the Storm will never be enough to get me to enjoy anything else by The Doors.
That’s a 5 from me, dawg
I mean. There was some cool stuff, but really just sounds like generic 70s brit-punk.
One of my personal favorite albums of all time. More stars than songs, baby.
Oasis famously compared themselves to the Beatles. In a sense they were right; they are the Beatles of musical mediocrity. Live Forever feels so long it Definitely Maybe makes Germany’s 600 year performance of 4’33 seem short.
Stomped by Obie.
Many bangers.
Either it’s 5 stars Or it’s 5 stars. RIP.
Surprisingly modern sounding for a pop album from the 70s. Fun.
It’s so good.
Neil Young is fine.
Didn’t like it then. Don’t like it now. (Sorry Elliot)
Stir It Up isn’t enough of a Redemption Song to get me to enjoy Reggae for more than 6 minutes at a time.
So boring.
Knowing how good at least two of their other albums are, 3 stars. Still great.
The album art is incredible.
Boring
I mean, it definitely sounds Australian whatever that means.
It’s Ella so it’s great. But it’s also a lot of Ella. 3 stars.
I enjoyed this far more than I anticipated
Heart of Gold is so good. But Neil Young is so boring.
Better than Green Day
I guess I’m okay with the fact that I really just don’t like The Rolling Stones
Not Foos best. But great. Weenie Beenie still slaps.
Just doesn’t do it for me.
No thanks.
Unknown Pleasures is so much better than this it’s insane.
It’s fine for high school
Hysteria better.
It’s fine
Absolutely not.
Air is neat.
So average
Peak post-punk. Still sounds great.
Meh. I get why people love Jack White. I think he’s kind of overrated.
Stan Getz is always good
eh.
There’s better generic mid-00s indie rock tbh
Always forget how solid Elbow generally is
Shocker. Stuart loves it.
