Mylène Farmer
I chose this album for personal reasons but also because it’s a great slice of 90s French pop—smooth, moody, and really well put together for what it is. Farmer was already really famous , albeit only in French-speaking countries, but this album amplified and cemented her status. The big hit here is “Désenchantée,” which pretty much became her signature song is really a great anthem. There may be a filler track or two, but the rest of the album is strong enough to earn its place on the list.
