5/5
I love this kind of themed album, and it was full of excellent songs as well! I remember hearing this album for the first time when I was probably 13 or 14 and was amazed and in awe of the whole concept. Loved David Bowie ever since
David Bowie
3/5
I know this album is a big deal but it just seems disjointed on first listen. Going to have to try it a few more times and try and figure out what Bowie was thinking
Duran Duran
4/5
Didn't realize there were so many hits on this album. Liked it more than I expected
Frank Sinatra
3/5
I enjoyed listening but not sure when I would listen again. I have no link to this music, beside of course Frank's great Christmas tunes
Talking Heads
5/5
I have loved this album since the day I bought it in the mid-80s. Talking Heads were a fantastic band, but the early albums are so much more raw sounding even though they kind of sound over produced in the studio. I will listen to this album more over time I am sure. And Psycho Killer is one of the great songs of all time
The The
3/5
Never heard this album before. I liked it! Sounds like an early version of what I hear these days on alt nation. I would listen again.
Roxy Music
2/5
I was a little disappointed in this album. I really like Roxy Music, but this early album did not have that feel of the latter albums.
The War On Drugs
3/5
I have never heard of this band, but i liked the album. Seems to be my style of music
3/5
Kinda psychedelic which I did not expect from the Kinks
The White Stripes
3/5
Good White Stripes album. Is really diverse and fun to listen to. Uses many different sound styles and as usual they are very experimental with the sound
Beatles
4/5
Flamin' Groovies
3/5
Why didn't I know about these guys. They are great
Bebel Gilberto
2/5
I didn't understand anything here. The music was nice but it was sung in a foreign language so no clue what she was singing about
Radiohead
3/5
Didn't like it as much as I hoped. Kind of all over the place
Cheap Trick
4/5
Fantastic. I remember hearing this when I was young and the guitar and beat just keeps it being awesome
1/5
Heard these guys were we great but this live album is a bit of a mess
Moby
2/5

Tom Waits
2/5

FKA twigs
1/5
Terrible
Björk
3/5
I had never heard Bjork until now vut of course heard the name lots in the past.
I really like the music, kind of all over the place isn't it. The lyrics are very hard to listen to, I think English is difficult for her.
I would listen again
Creedence Clearwater Revival
4/5
What a fantastic album. I can't believe all the influence CCR had when they were only around for 3 or 4 years.
The Psychedelic Furs
4/5
Great album with that distinctive style of psychedelic furs.
Destiny's Child
3/5
Muddy Waters
3/5
I love listening to Muddy Waters, only heard 1 album before. Music is very tight compared to the huge music of today and has a great beat and his awesome vocal style. I read that this concert almost didn't happen because of riots the day before at this blues festival, only thing that saved it was filming the day for a documentary on American culture
Jane's Addiction
2/5
Been caught stealing is one of my favorite 80s songs but the rest of the album doesn't seem great to me
Basement Jaxx
2/5
Nina Simone
3/5
I didn't really care about this album as it started but Nina Simone has a really great control of her voice and makes every song something you have to stop and listen too. I ended up really liking it and glad I had this opportunity to find a new (to me) great singer and music
The Who
4/5
Really great album. Nice clean sound, good interaction with the crowd, lots of good music
Coldcut
2/5
Not for me. Just noisy.
In case anyone can not find it on Spotify, go to YouTube, the whole album is on there
Peter Frampton
4/5
Love this live album. One of the great guitar live shows of the 70s before everything got a bit too heavy. Loved hair bands in the 80s but even then I still loved this album
TLC
3/5
I had only heard waterfalls before bit this album has lots more. It just kind of flows well through the whole thing. I definitely liked it a lot more than I expected
Coldplay
3/5
Album is ok. Kinda whiny but I guess that's the style. I would listen again on a rainy Sunday
Blue Cheer
3/5
I had never heard of Blue Cheer. Awesome rough sound.
U2
4/5
Great album. The one that got me loving U2 early on before fame caught them. Lots of different styles on here
The Kinks
3/5
Super good. Kind of reminds me of that psychedelic type of sound of the late 60s. But the way the kinks would do it instead

4/5

XTC
2/5
Radiohead
4/5
Bruce Springsteen
4/5
I am partial to Born to Run, but this is probably his second best album. It seems to me that these early albums of Springsteens with the E Street band are so much better than the big stadium anthems he wrote later
Rush
2/5
Not for me. I have heard about this album forever and finally heard it for the first time. Even as a fellow Canadian I just don't get the hype
Robert Wyatt
1/5

This album was a centerpiece of Friday nights when a few of us would hang in a buddies basement drinking beer back on the 80s. Super great uplifting album with a couple moody tracks built in.
Television
4/5
Brian Eno
3/5
What a strange album. Nice to listen to while working on the computer I guess

3/5
Good album. Not as good as the first couple though
Jimi Hendrix
4/5
Fantastic album. I think my favorite of his
ZZ Top
3/5
Not as good as I remember it when it came out. Full of hits, but the same sound everywhere. I have listed to mostly older ZZ Top when I listen to an album of theirs and those where great. I think this album was a push to get super popular by the label or something because the sound definitely changed

3/5
Great Blondie album. Would definitely listen to it again

Hanoi Rocks
3/5
Stevie Wonder
4/5
Long but great album. Pastime Paradise was the first time I heard it not knowing that Gangstas Paradise was basically a cover. Best song was Sir Duke
Rage Against The Machine
3/5
I really hate Rage Against the Machine when I hear their stuff on Alt Nation on SiriusXM. Don't get me wrong, i love a lot of heavy stuff and it really bugged me thinking i am too old a guy to like something like this.
But after finally listening to this album I think I get it, and I am able to appreciate the hard shredding style, the lyrics are really relevant, not just then but today as well. Hearing really closely I think is important when listening to super heavy music, otherwise it will just seem like sonic assault
Jethro Tull
