I’m not sure if Bruce Springsteen is for me. This is my second Bruce album and I just wasn’t feeling it but I can see why people dig him and his music. I didn’t finish this album because there is something about his vocal quality and pitch that really bothers me. But I would give this album another chance and recommend it to others!

I love this album and I’ve always loved Amy Winehouse. She had such a unique sound that sounds both vintage and modern at the same time. Her music is very interesting because it blends together jazz, soul, rhythm and blues, and a touch of reggae as well. I’m so saddened by the fact that she left this earth too soon but we will always remember her through her amazing music and impression that she made on the music industry forever. One of my favorite albums of all time, every song is a 10/10.

I very much enjoyed this debut album from Foo Fighters! I’m not sure if I’ve ever listened to a full album by them before but it was a great time. Obviously you can hear some influence from Nirvana in some of these songs but overall I think it is unique enough that they stand out as their own band. Overall, this was a great alt rock album and I would listen to it again in the future.

This is probably one of the best grunge/alt rock albums of all time! I hadn’t listened to this album in so long but this was on heavy rotation for me in highschool and as a young adult. There is a reason why Nirvana is still so iconic to this day and it’s so fascinating to think about how much they influenced grunge and alternative rock as a whole. I always enjoy listening to this album and will always look forward to my next listen of it. A strong third and final album by one of the best bands that are still iconic to this day.

A solid rap album! I finished most of this album. For me it feels like something I have to be in the mood for but that’s just me. ‘The Real Slim Shady’ will always be a bop but some other tracks that stood out for me were ‘Bitch Please II’ and ‘Under the Influence.’ I would listen to this again if I was in the mood for it and recommend it to others!

In terms of vocal technicality and pitch her voice isn’t my favorite because sometimes she sounds very monotone or slightly off/ under the pitch. But if you are looking for a solid folk rock album I would give this a listen!

I liked this album listen! It was a solid alt rock album with some grunge elements. I’d never heard of this album or artist before this so it was interesting to listen to something new. I can see why other people would like this album but I don’t think it was for me personally. I didn’t particularly like the lead singer’s voice and how he was slightly under pitch or struggling to find the pitch at times but maybe that’s a stylistic choice. Either way I’m not sure if I would listen to this album again but I would recommend it to other alt rock fans!

This was a solid hip hop album! A little on the long side but it was more like two albums in one which was kind of cool. Obviously Hey Ya! I felt like this was a solid debut album! It felt like this was Timberlake’s way of trying to establish his own sound and voice after *NSYNC. Obviously there are some track standouts such as Cry Me a River and Rock Your Body. I enjoyed this album but many of the songs sounded similar and had a similar vibe so it’s hard to distinguish them from one another. Still a solid album listen!

This isn’t music I typically gravitate towards because it is a bit slow for me but I can appreciate the significance of the album and the blending of soul, big band music, and classic country genres. Many of the songs sound similar to me so they all sort of blend together but they have a great melody and sound and are produced wonderfully. I would need to be in the mood to pick this up again but I would recommend others to check this album out!

This is easily the strongest debut album I’ve listened to through this website! Hendrix was a giant in the psychedelic/rock scene and his legacy and artistry lives on decades later. This album has some of my favorite Hendrix tracks such as Purple Haze, Hey Joe, The Wind Cries Mary, and Foxey Lady! I very much enjoyed this album and I will definitely be listening to it again. Give it a listen!

What can I say Bob Dylan is pretty iconic and rightfully so! This is a solid folk rock album that is quintessential Dylan. Sometimes I find that his songs draw on a bit but I feel that is a common theme within folk or rock music if an artist gets in the groove. Some people find his voice to be annoying but he has a very iconic and unique sound in my opinion. I would definitely listen to this album again and I look forward to listening to more albums from Dylan!

I very much enjoyed listening to this live album! For being recorded in the 70s the sound quality was incredible. For me it was nice music to have on in the background while I was doing other things. Many of the songs sounded similar or had a similar vibe but I enjoyed the soul, jazz, and blues elements that were infused into the songs. I only listened to Volume one but I hope to go back someday and listen to the other volumes! Overall this was a solid listening experience.

This is hands down one of my favorite albums of all time. I fell in love with Joy Division in highschool so this album was on heavy rotation for me. Curtis’s vocals are very haunting and distinct. It’s a dark and emotional experience but it’s a solid post-punk album through the use of drums, guitar, and heavy synth production. Curtis was a talented frontman that was gone too soon. Joy Division will always hold a special place in my heart.

Listening to this a day after Ozzy’s passing hits a little different. This was my first time listening to this album all the way through and it did not disappoint. Every song on this album is great and this is just a solid heavy metal album all the way around. Without Black Sabbath and Ozzy you wouldn’t have many of the metal and rock bands that we have had and still have today. They were definitely trailblazers in the heavy metal/rock genre. This is one of my favorite albums of all time. I’ve always loved The Doors and Morrison all through my teens and into adulthood. The Doors are one of the best psychedelic rock bands in my opinion and I love how there is heavy blues influence in this album as well. I love to blast ‘Riders on the Storm’ and ‘L.A. Woman’ with the windows down and driving down the freeway. I will definitely keep jamming to this album for the foreseeable future!

I love this album and I’ve always loved Amy Winehouse. She had such a unique sound that sounds both vintage and modern at the same time. Her music is very interesting because it blends together jazz, soul, rhythm and blues, and a touch of reggae as well. I’m so saddened by the fact that she left this earth too soon but we will always remember her through her amazing music and impression that she made on the music industry forever. One of my favorite albums of all time, every song is a 10/10.

This is another great Bowie album! Definitely a departure from his normal glam rock sound and more of a funky, soulful, and r&b vibe. ‘Fame’ is obviously the standout track and one of the best Bowie songs. This album also has a great cover of The Beatles with ‘Across the Universe’! The title track is strong and the other songs on the album were solid as well. I definitely give this album a thumbs up and I would listen to it again!

I thought this was a solid hip hop and rap album from the Beastie Boys! They have a very distinct sound that is very recognizable whenever you hear any of their songs. ‘Sabotage’ and ‘Sure Shot’ are definitely two of the standouts on this album but I also liked the experimental interludes inbetween some of the longer songs and how some of the songs had a rock and punk vibe to them. I would jam to this album again in the future depending on my mood!

I enjoyed this second studio album from Eminem! I think I liked it better than the Marshall Mathers LP that I had previously. ‘I’m Shady’ and ‘My Name Is’ were the obvious album standouts to me. I’ve always liked Eminem but his songs are very vulgar and graphic which sometimes comes with the territory when you are listening to rap music. Overall, I had a good time listening to this album but would only give it another listen if I’m in the mood.

I’m not sure if I would listen to this again but I could see why some people would like the ambient space rock vibes of this album.

This album was absolute fire! I stand firm in that Kendrick is one of the best rap artists and poets of our generation. I love how intricate and complex his lyrics and songs are and he performs them with such raw emotion and passion. This album has a very important message and is still relevant 10 years later. I very much enjoyed this album and I will definitely be listening to this again soon.

I enjoyed this album fine from Mercury Rev! The main singer’s voice was a little eccentric and different which was intriguing. This album was a little cooky and different from what I usually listen to which made for an interesting experience. Overall, I enjoyed this album but it wouldn’t be my first choice for an album that I would revisit again.

What can I say I freaking love the Pixies and this album. So many of these songs are bops. I’ve actually never listened to this album as a collective just individual songs so that was a fun experience. This was a great alt-rock breakout album from the Pixies and I would definitely listen to it again in the future!

I very much enjoyed this album from Underworld! I’d never listened to music by them so that was an exciting experience. I loved the house/EDM vibes of this album and it made for great workout music. I would definitely listen to this album again!
Billy Bragg

I liked this album fine. I feel like there were parts of it that I enjoyed more than others. I liked how this album dove into deeper issues like politics, love, and social issues and I enjoyed the punk folk rock sound of Bragg. But most of it felt like him yelling into a mic and singing off key which brought more rawness and feeling to the album but rubbed me the wrong way a bit. Overall, I enjoyed this album but I’m not sure if I would revisit it soon.

I throughly enjoyed this album listen from Bob Marley & The Wailers. I feel like I was just vibing with this album the whole time which led to an enjoyable and chill listening experience. I also thought it was important and relevant about how their songs had themes relating to poverty, social issues, and political injustice. I will definitely be listening to this album again soon and I would recommend it highly to others!

I enjoyed this album listen! I’m from Arizona and so is Alice Cooper! I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him live too recently which makes me appreciate his music more. He is quite the showman and I love how dramatic and over the top he is. I loved the nod to West Side Story on this album, that gave me a good chuckle. Overall, I liked this album and would listen to it again in the future.

I did not enjoy this album listen. I can see why Slipknot would be appealing to some people but it became very clear while I was listening that this was simply not for me. This might be my personal worst album yet. Did not enjoy listening to someone screaming violently into a mic for almost an hour. I do not see myself listening to this album or Slipknot in the future.

I throughly enjoyed this album by George Harrison! I believe this was his first album that came out after The Beatles broke up and I feel like he was successful in creating his own unique sound and style apart from them. This is a brilliant folk/classic rock album from Harrison and I will definitely be listening to this album again in the future. I did think it was a bit long and some of the songs were repetitive and droned on for too long but overall this was a great album listen!

I liked this album fine. It was different than what I was expecting from Talk Talk. I was expecting more of an upbeat new wave album but this was more of a mellow and moody new wave album that left me underwhelmed. Maybe I’ll give this another listen someday and my opinion will be different but this just fell flat for me.

I enjoyed this album fine. Joan has a pretty voice which is very pleasant and enjoyable to listen to and I loved the folk vibes of the album. I felt like many of the songs sounded similar so it was hard for me to tell them apart but overall I enjoyed this album and would listen to it again!

Unfortunately this album was very much not for me and I did not enjoy this listening experience. I can appreciate what they were trying to achieve with trying to sound more punk and experimental but it did not hit for me. It sadly just sounded like a bunch of random electronic machine sounds and banging on metal plates which was not my fantasy. I can see how this could be enjoyable for some but it did not hit the mark for me. After a while it just sounded very repetitive and just like noise instead of music to me.

This was an interesting album listen! Their sound was unique in that it was a mix of punk, jazz, funk, and r&b which made for a good time while listening. I’m not sure if it is an album I would seek out again but I had a good time listening to it at the time and enjoyed listening to something new!

I really enjoyed this album! I think this was my first time listening to a Metallica album all the way through and it was a great experience. They have a very distinct sound and vibe that automatically makes me go that’s Metallica! I don’t listen to much metal but this was a great album that I will be listening to again!

I’d never heard of the Throwing Muses before but I really dug this album and their new wave rock/punk vibe and sound! This sounded like an album that is right up my alley so I’m shocked I’d never heard of them before! This is honestly one of my favorite Beatles albums! Every song is a banger and for me this is a no skip album. I love how this album had more of a folk rock influence and you can hear the influence of Indian music on Norwegian Wood which is one of my favorite songs on this album. Overall, I always have a great time listening to this album and it is one of my favorite albums of all time!

I very much enjoyed this album listen from The Smashing Pumpkins! I felt like this was a very solid alt rock album with a couple of very obvious standout tracks that are quintessential Smashing Pumpkins. They are definitely one of the best alt rock bands of the 90s. I’ve always liked this band and I’ve had the extreme pleasure of seeing them live too. Overall, this was a great album and I will be listening to this album again in the future!

I very much enjoyed this album listen! I’d never listened to a Fugees album in full but it was a great experience. I loved the mix of rap, reggae, soul, and R&B. ‘Ready or Not’ and ‘Killing Me Softly With His Song’ are standout tracks and probably the only songs I knew but this album is full of bangers. I was blown away by how much I enjoyed this album and I will be listening to this again soon!

I enjoyed this album fine. I didn’t feel like it was anything mind blowing but it is a great example of blending progressive, folk, and rock elements together to create a unique concept album. I enjoyed some of the songs on this album but as a collective there were only a few standout tracks for me and some of the songs fell flat and carried on for too long. Overall, I enjoyed this album but it’s not one I would immediately seek out in the future.

This album was quintessential Lana Del Rey. I very much enjoyed revisiting this album after not listening to it for a few years or so at least. I generally enjoy and like everything that Lana puts out and have had the pleasure of seeing her live in concert twice. Overall, I think this is a great album by Lana and I will definitely be listening to it again in the future!

This is such a solid folk rock album and I love the harmonies and how their voices blend together to create beautiful music. The lead singer’s voice used to bother me but I feel like his vocal quality blends well with the music on this album. Obviously you can hear some influence from Nirvana in some of these songs but overall I think it is unique enough that they stand out as their own band. This is probably one of the best grunge/alt rock albums of all time! I hadn’t listened to this album in so long but this was on heavy rotation for me in highschool and as a young adult. There is a reason why Nirvana is still so iconic to this day and it’s so fascinating to think about how much they influenced grunge and alternative rock as a whole. I always enjoy listening to this album and will always look forward to my next listen of it. A strong third and final album by one of the best bands that are still iconic to this day.
