Not sure how to clasify this one but did not like it at all.
Hated this. This sounds like someone purposefully trying to make music for the backing track to a Frasier episode. Every song was to long for my taste, especially since they don't really go anywhere. The only song I would choose to listen to again is The Butcher Boy
In glad that this only went on for 10 songs. I disliked this album from the start. There was such a whiny voice the entire time that was so displeasing to listen to. His voice sounded like he was on the verge of sneezing the entire time and then the music was the snotty gross aftermath nobody wants to clean up.
Genuinely bad. Couldn't even make it through three songs.
I can't listen to this. The production is beautiful. OK I've said something nice. There is this trend - across genres - that started in the late 90s - wherein certain artists sound like Music By Potheads on Anti-Depressants for Potheads on Anti-Depressants. It creates recordings that are SO boring. This recording is an archetype. And this guy's voice. His cutesy-bear sounds to me like someone too lazy or cowardly to try to learn to sing. It stimulates the same rage I used to get listening to Barney sing I Love You, You Love Me on his insufferable cartoon.

Unremarkable. It was way too long for what it is. Never heard of the band or any of the songs. They are trying to hard to be clever with their lyrics and the sound. It was boring. The style of songs are all over the place. Better than a one, but not really a two. I will round down.
Ok i'm tapping out of this one too. I have the same issue with some baroque pop as i do with psychedelic pop, where it feels like they're using an aesthetic to mask over the flaws. As though just throwing some strings and piano over the top will make me forget about the bland songwriting and the horrific vocals when he gets into his higher register. Couldn't remember a single song or a single interesting moment after three quarters through. Make it stop.

At the end of the first track I thought: is this some kind of joke...? I was expecting some kind of anarcho-punk, but no, they were serious. What an anacronism in 2000. If I could give half a star...

Simply terrible. The lyrics are trash. The arrangements sound nice but are very generic. I feel like i’ve heard them before on random hallmark shows or movie montages. Each song sounds the same- bland flavorless boring. I could get why some people could like listening to this in the background but this sounds like other generic playlists I have put on in the past while cleaning. I definitely don’t think this one belongs on this list. I struggled to get through this one.

Definition of week week 2000's "rock" hated it
I don’t know what to make of this album because the lead singer basically whispered every song. I got through about 6 songs and it felt like I always had to increase the volume. I didn’t really find the instrumentals anything noteworthy either. An overall big pass. 2.5/10

Tragiczny album. Na początek zaczynał się tylko jak nudny soundtrack z jakiegoś rom-comu. Potem okazało się, że głos wokalisty jeszcze mi bardzo nie odpowiada, a szczególnie jak zaczyna się to wycie. Aranżacje muzyczne na wskroś nudne. Dałbym 2, ale biorąc pod uwagę, że już na początku albumu wypatrywałem kiedy to się skończy, daję po prostu 1

The best of this album IMO: - Grumpus - The Butcher Boy Boring... Not my thing at all... I usually love falsetto voices but this one is awful. There better be a Gorillaz album (my favorite band) in this list because I don't understand how Nixon can be in the top 1001. 1.4/5
