Ananda Shankar
1/5
Yet another weird album, where I tend to find that it is in this list for curiousity reasons rather than it being actually good

The B-52's
5/5
Iconic indie rock!
A unique take on punk/new wave, mixing up 60’s West coast surf rock with NY garage and art rock of the late 70’s, and then having a party doing it. No other band sounds like B-52s. Not back then, not today some 40 years later.

Pure Magic. if there ever was a perfect album, this is it..
Steely Dan
2/5
OK musicianship, but boring in the long run. This thing about music being all soft, without an edge I never understood. Not for me

Jean-Michel Jarre
5/5
Superb. The most beatiful electronica soundscapes put together as a classic symphony, with its different themes being repeated in variations and mixed up maintaing an exciting atmosphere throughout the whole album

5/5
Epic!

Geeks playing rock n roll… in a refreshing way. Sound is like college rock melets Velvet Underground
Isaac Hayes
3/5
Groovy stuff from start to finish… and a lot of strings
Tina Turner
3/5
Essential 80s - but not really standing the test of time
Coldplay
4/5
Brilliant.. just brilliant
Elton John
4/5
Maybe not amongst the best Elton John albums…but still a collection of solid pop songs here, performed by brilliant talenter musicians
Lynyrd Skynyrd
2/5
Blues and guitars, and more guitars… great musicians, but a bit boring after a while
Tortoise
2/5
A laid back and moody indie rock sound. The tracks are instrumental soundscapes rather than songs… gets boring after a while
Pink Floyd
5/5
A masterpiece..
4/5
This is it!
Update of the 60’s/70’s Bossa Nova, beautifully integrating elements of ambient electrinica, acid jazz and trip-hop. Very smooth and well produced.
Music perfect for cocktails in a late night lounge bar, and just as well for an espresso on a Sunday morning on a sunny balcony or in a street café…
Music to Dream to
The Cure
5/5
A peak point in the Cure album discography. It might not feature the very best the Cure songs, although it has one or two classics on it, but this album is however not about individual songs. It is more a flow of music from the opening track till the last tone of the last track, hence complete without any unnecessary fillers. True perfection.
Dire Straits
3/5
Nice laid back sound and great musicianship. And of course Mark Knopfflers guitar taking it to a different level
The Doors
5/5
Top album. The Doors at their peak
3/5
Symphonic rock.. Not my kind of thing. There are moments of beauty but mostly I find it too arranged and calculated, and weird.
Franz Ferdinand
4/5
Yeah, great no nonsense indie rock for partying, yet with interesting lyrics. Like it!
ABBA
3/5
Catchy songs and solid production as always with ABBA, only I never got on that train… was on another platform going in a different direction I suppose. In other words, not really my thing.
Sly & The Family Stone
3/5
The transition from soul to funk. A bit outdated, but groovy
Coldplay
4/5
Coldplay at their peak. Tight composition, and powerful lyrics
The National
3/5
Pretty good!
The B-52's
5/5
Iconic indie rock!
A unique take on punk/new wave, mixing up 60’s West coast surf rock with NY garage and art rock of the late 70’s, and then having a party doing it. No other band sounds like B-52s. Not back then, not today some 40 years later.
The Cars
3/5
Catchy tunes, but a bit dated
Judas Priest
4/5
The essense of heavy metal. Amongst the albums defining the whole genre
Sinead O'Connor
3/5
Beatiful, and singer/song in an 80’s way
Iron Butterfly
4/5
A monster of an album. Iconic psychedelic rock
Jean-Michel Jarre
5/5
Superb. The most beatiful electronica soundscapes put together as a classic symphony, with its different themes being repeated in variations and mixed up maintaing an exciting atmosphere throughout the whole album
Beatles
5/5
Maybe the best one by the Beatles. A collection of solid and tight rock songs here. Before they included more experimental elements.
Jeff Buckley
4/5
Vibrant. Passionate. Powerful.
Adele
3/5
Still beautiful and powerful singing, but also a lot of anonymous fillers
R.E.M.
3/5
This is where it started with REM. Great album
Simple Minds
5/5
One of the Best!
Marty Robbins
1/5
Wouw.. is it a joke..?!
Cypress Hill
2/5
Naaa. Not for me.
Portishead
4/5
So cool. Like a soundtrack to a suspense noir movie
Buzzcocks
3/5
Melodic punk. Great album
Talking Heads
4/5
This is fantastic, in the weird way only Talking Heads can do it
The Byrds
4/5
Top album from the sixties, superb vocal harmonies and jangling guitars
Ray Charles
2/5
Ahhh.. better when it is soul
The Mamas & The Papas
3/5
Quality music, but trapped in time
Public Enemy
1/5
Oh no.. how did this ever come about
Public Enemy
2/5
Ahh.. wonder what the big clock is about..hmm
Green Day
2/5
Re inventing punk?!? Njaa not really
4/5
Epic 90’s indie. Although a bit dated, there are no weak songs here.. Wonderwall has kept its magic, but in retrospective songs like the title track, and Champagne Super perhaps even better
The Charlatans
4/5
One of the Best by the Charlatans. One of the Best from the UK indie dance rock era in the 90’s.
Lambchop
2/5
Weird…
Sebadoh
2/5
Quite alright
Gorillaz
3/5
So coooool… Nice one here
Fleet Foxes
3/5
Modern country?
The Police
3/5
Not up there with the first 3 albums, but still refreshing and powerful
Van Morrison
5/5
A true classic.. top band behind our man Van, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere. And then there is Van at his best delivering his songs with true passion
Cocteau Twins
4/5
Dream soundscapes and Elisabeth Frazer adding vocals of incredible beauty. It’s all about atmosphere here, and gets slightly boring if the ears are set for rythmic 3 min songs with lyrics telling a story, but as a back drop for a meditative moment it works. And the best from Cocteau Twins
Kendrick Lamar
2/5
Nothing special really..
Leonard Cohen
4/5
Only the beginning… impressive!
Stevie Wonder
4/5
A classic!
James Taylor
1/5
Smooth and soft..and that is maybe the problem here. I sm lacking a certain enge or nerve. So not for me thanks
Madonna
2/5
Mainstream 80’s pop. Ok for parties back then. Boring in retrospect
The Allman Brothers Band
3/5
Great one!
4/5
Fantastic!
The Shamen
3/5
Ohh yeah! Part of the soundtrack for the 90’s indie/techno rave parties
Nice flash back!
The Prodigy
3/5
Aggressive - expressive - Nice one
Deep Purple
4/5
A classic. No nonsense heavy rock, with a lot of groovy blues elements refining it. And then Ian Gillans super vocal work on top of things wouuww!
Hole
2/5
Never got into this. A bit pretentious.. imo
The Avalanches
2/5
Revisiting 70’s motown. I find it boring
Björk
4/5
The best from Björk! Continuing the indie sound of Sugarcubes, with fine Dance/Electronica elements
Tim Buckley
3/5
Solid 70’s blues feel, but also weird lyrics, that do not do it for me. Gets boring
Bebel Gilberto
2/5
Typical easy listening bossa nova vocal jazz for the cocktail lounge. Cozy and warm, but also boring, without any edge
Fiona Apple
2/5
Weird to some extend, which makes me feel unpleasant… not for me
Deerhunter
3/5
Ok laid back indie rock with some psychedelic elements. There is a nice vibe going here
Barry Adamson
1/5
No actual songs on it, only a variete of soundscapes. I do not get it. Would perhaps had worked well as a movie soundtrack, but then there is not a movie..
Gil Scott-Heron
2/5
OK classic 70’s soul, but not exceptional
The Stranglers
4/5
Fantastic! A favourite from the 70’es punk era
4/5
Another great one here! Fresh and serious lyrics guitar indie rock
The Everly Brothers
3/5
Not their biggest hits here, but solid vocal harmonies and groovy rythm as always
Tangerine Dream
3/5
Beautiful and exciting soundscapes. Works best where there is rythm underneath, so longer the movements in the compositions without it, makes it a bit boring here and there though
Talking Heads
4/5
Funky new wave, and an agree David Byrne.
And then it’s got Life during wartime on it.
What’s not to like
David Bowie
3/5
Great musicianship as always with Bowie, but with a somewhat conventional direction here. Influenced by classic soul to some degree, and with famous hits like Fame and the title track.
However, lacking a lot of the alternative experimental elements that make the greatest Bowie albums… great. So quite average in this respect.
Quicksilver Messenger Service
3/5
Typical late 60’s psychedelica. Nice and groovy live performance, but also a bit on the average
Ministry
2/5
Quite noisy. Early industrial.. my ears are bleeding after a while
The Saints
3/5
Solid and honest straight forward garage/punk rock.
Love it!
RIP Chris Bailey
Echo And The Bunnymen
5/5
Iconic indie rock masterpiece from the Bunnymen. Nothing less.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
2/5
Hmmm… never got into RHCP. Don’t know why. This is an ok album, although it does not really move me
LCD Soundsystem
2/5
Electronic indie rock/pop. Some ok dance tracks, but does not move me in general
The Jam
4/5
Yeeahh! One of the best by the Jam, with the classic mod era song That’s entertainment as a high light
Ladysmith Black Mambazo
2/5
African choir. Beatiful harmonies, but boring
Teenage Fanclub
2/5
Shoegaze indierock classic back in the day. In retrospect it sounds dated and gets boring after a few songs
A Tribe Called Quest
3/5
Laid back old school hip hop, That’s got interesting lyrics here and there, and it is funky too. Not too bad, and not like the aggresive direction a lot of the genre has taken today.
Michael Jackson
4/5
The iconic one, because of all the fantastic hits that are classics today
It is a a landmark pop album alright, however moving slightly away from the older RnB and soul infused MJ albums, I personally like better.
In retrospect it also comes out a bit overproduced (as many soft rock/ power pop/ RnB albums of the 80’s). So for me not the top MJ album as it is to many. Prefer the previous ones.
Buffalo Springfield
3/5
Love it! 60’s psychedelic rock. And with Neil Young
The Mars Volta
2/5
Mixing the weird and the noisy. Not me
The Who
4/5
Pure energy! A solid album
New Order
4/5
The epic electronica album by New Order. Ends come together here
Hugh Masekela
4/5
Wouw. First time listening to this, and really positive. Warm and cozy.. a nice extension of the 60’s be-bop jazz into the 70’s. References to both African music and funk here and there, just making it even more exciting.
Bad Brains
2/5
No thanks… garage punk with a lot of energy, but then not really that special. Somehow repeating what was delivered with previous releases..
Run-D.M.C.
1/5
No thank you..
Joy Division
4/5
Legendary and one of the landmark albums to define the whole postpunk/ goth scene that followed
Massive Attack
3/5
Not the top one by Massive Attack, but solid
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
4/5
Beautiful. Powerful. Vibrant atmosphere all the way.
A Tribe Called Quest
2/5
Rap… never my favourite, but then in this case, mixing it up with cool jazz and soul, making it groovy here and there
Eagles
4/5
The titel song obviously a classic, and several other of the Eagles top songs are included here. However also a few fillers, that do not stand the test of time. So therefore not a 5 star album in my World, but close
The Flaming Lips
3/5
Nice one
The White Stripes
3/5
Like the idea of the duo format, but then after a few songs the limitation of the same is showing. So Becoming a bit boring after a while
Tori Amos
3/5
Beautiful atmosphere vibe all the way. And the singing… wouw.
Wilco
3/5
Great album. Nice laid back indie rock
Spiritualized
4/5
Nice blend of electronica and shoegaze indie. Like it! A lot!
Crosby, Stills & Nash
3/5

Dexys Midnight Runners
3/5
Love this one. Finest blend of folk and pub rock
Elliott Smith
2/5
Low Key laid back indie. Ok, but not more than that
The Band
3/5
Hippies and psychedelia in a nice way. A classic, but also kind quite dated
Songhoy Blues
2/5
Hmm. Does not move me
Buddy Holly & The Crickets
2/5
Some stand out classics on it. But the album as a whole does not stand the test of time
Little Simz
2/5
Very hyped.. but rap and hip hop rarely speaks to me. This one is not an exception. Some groovy drum ‘n bass here and there, but that is it
Jamiroquai
3/5
Nice laid back groovy soul all the way, although a bit anonymous here and there
Marvin Gaye
3/5
Smooth and laid back classic soul. The title track is a true masterpiece and genre defining, but also filler tracks with overproduced strings, not doing good for the overall impression
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
4/5
Neil Young & Crazy Horse at their best!
AC/DC
3/5
One of the AC/DC top albums. Rock n Roll and Rock on! Old love for this one
Bonnie Raitt
2/5
Well, decent work, but That’s it
Elbow
3/5
Weird indie rock. Great moments here and there but it does not really capture me over the whole album
The Smashing Pumpkins
3/5
Great album! (Silly title)
Eels
3/5
Some weird stuff here, in an ok exciting way.Elements of grunge, Radiohead and Velvet Underground
Lauryn Hill
2/5
Not my thing. Solid recording, but the music style, hip hop, Soft RnB, does not catch me
Ramones
4/5
A great one! No fooling around here. Just tight straight forward garage rock, with a freshing energy
Kanye West
2/5
Don’t like it sorry. This kind of aggressive hip hop, never my cup of tea
The Pogues
4/5
Revisiting traditional irish/Celtic folk, with a pink rock twist. And succeed with the project. Thumbs up
Muddy Waters
3/5
Johnny Winther refining and updating the Muddy Waters back catalogue to some extent. And it works!
Eric Clapton
3/5
Nice one by EC. Legendarisk actually..
James Brown
3/5
The essense of James Brown is captured in this recording. Especially the Please Please Please medley is a tour de force of the power and energy of James Brown
Nirvana
4/5
This album shows both the strength and weakness of Nirvana. Weakness, not about their musicianship, but in general because they were obviously lacking strong original material for the whole gig, and therefore included several covers. Strength, because the covers they included actually is given their own edge, in becomes relevant.
Their version of the man who sold the Earth is epic. Bonus as well is the joint forces with the Meat Puppets.
Not a bad album
The Rolling Stones
5/5
Fantastic how much energy and nerve The Stones manager to get out of a very laid back period, in the south of France, creating songs from spontaneous jam sessions.
A masterpiece within the Rolling Stones catalogue, nothing less.
Femi Kuti
2/5
No thanks
Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
3/5
Melodic indie rock from the 80s. Quite alright!
Booker T. & The MG's
2/5
Groovy organ here and there, but missing vocals. Norring somehow
The Kinks
3/5
Nicely crafted. Great musicianship and lyrics, but also a bit anonymous, without any stand out hit songs
Taylor Swift
2/5
Ok, but not a favourite
Neil Young
4/5
Nice one here. Iconic
Sabu
1/5
No thanks. Old School salsa. Nothing wrong with that, but find the percussion element too dominant. Result is a lot of energy, but as well very stressed.
Travis
4/5
Love this one. Laid back melodic indie pop/rock. Vocals are great
Laibach
1/5
Oh no..
Prince
4/5
So much said about this album already over the years. No need to repeat all that. Yes it is a masterpiece.
Chicago
3/5
Yet another of those recordings made by skilled musicians, well crafted and produced, but so boring
Alice In Chains
2/5
Nice heavy rock/grunge, but loosing some of the magic over the years
Steve Winwood
2/5
Nice, but not fantastic
Gene Clark
3/5
Because of you. Great Tune. As for the rest, it is pretty average
Megadeth
2/5
No thanks. Not a fan of this kind of music really
Fatboy Slim
2/5
A DJ set put down on an album. To me it is the kind of thing where you pick an individual tune out for dancing at a party, mixing it with other tunes. However listening to this as an album from start to finish does not work for me. In this connection I get stressed with all the sampling and scratching. Tedeous.
Mekons
3/5
Interesting blend of country and 80’s indie rock. Some catchy tunes included
The Stooges
3/5
Iggy Pop in top form. The essense of garage rock. For sure. Only due to the poor recording I have always wondered why so many people are referring to this one as the best one by Iggy. Personally I hav always found it a bit disapointing compared to the first 2 Stooges albums. Anyhow classic tunes are on it that since then have never failed to get the crowd going crazy when played live
The Monks
1/5
Oh no. Terrible
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
3/5
Nice. Mods revival Elvis Costello here
The xx
3/5
Quite ok. Cozy indie rock with electronic elements
Soul II Soul
2/5
Compilation? Ok funky stuff, but very much the same song repeated many times. So not that excited after all
Daft Punk
2/5
All tunes sounds more or less the same. Never found out why DF could become so big. Ok, when they invite special guest vocalists to join them, but on their own… overrated
Todd Rundgren
2/5
Too weird for my taste
Hole
2/5
Nothing exceptional, but ok solid indie/garage rock
Adele
4/5
A very powerful album. Not Strange that this one took Adele to international Fame. Strong lyrics on top of well crafted tunes, and the singing…. Wouw
Donald Fagen
3/5
Soft and warm easy listening. Pop with groovy jazz elements here and there. Kind of ok, but also a bit boring

3/5
An energy bomb!

1/5
Narrhhh… don’t get it

Aerosmith
3/5
Solid, but like the older stuff better
The Last Shadow Puppets
4/5
Brilliant storytelling on top of solid indie rock
Primal Scream
4/5
When Primal scream went electronic. Has great groovy elements, with some weird noisy soundscapes. Some work perfect, like Burning wheel, others become too weird to my taste though. But a solid album in general!
Slayer
1/5
I am getting a headache…
The Dictators
3/5
Early punk, funky lyrics, quite melodic, like it
The Smiths
5/5
An all time favourite. The Smiths at their peak
Elvis Presley
4/5
Tour de Force. Including soul elements to the original RnR nerve is a powerful addition, and then Elvis vocals here. Top!
Eurythmics
4/5
One of the greatest new wave albums of the early 80’s due to strong production and Annie Lennox powerful voice. Pure nostalgia in a nice way
Sly & The Family Stone
4/5
A milestone in soul music. Funky and powerful
The Cramps
3/5
Rough, in a cool way. Not the best one by the Cramps, but pretty good
George Michael
2/5
Not really my taste. The title track is catchy though.
The Undertones
4/5
Raw, fresh, powerful. A real classic from the punk era
Kraftwerk
3/5
Taylor Swift
2/5
Nothing special really
Portishead
3/5
Quite alright, but without the magic of earlier albums
Herbie Hancock
4/5
Fantastic. Qintesential fussion of jazz and funk. Groovy all the way
Jurassic 5
1/5
????
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
2/5
Not really a necessary listen before you die album
Frank Black
2/5
Pixies quite ok, but do not really need this one. Not bad, but not spectacular
Grateful Dead
2/5
Well.. outdated to some extent. Does not catch me
Wire
3/5
Fresh and rough Cut. Indie garage rock. Could do with more variation, it is like two-three songs repeated over and over
The Doors
4/5
Radiohead
3/5
The Young Gods
2/5
Simon & Garfunkel
3/5
Nice one
Michael Jackson
2/5
Not Thriller, not Off the Wall
Nirvana
3/5
Retrospectively I do not find it that great after all, but remember when it came out. A real game changer, bridging heavy rock elements and indie rock, and that is not to forget about! Made its mark for sure

Nice atmospheric indie rock
New Order
4/5
Super. New Order going all in on dance electronica

a-ha
3/5
The sound of the 80’s. Great then, now outdated.
Fugees
2/5

Cyndi Lauper
2/5

Fresh and energetic when it came out.. dated today

3/5
Ok. Decent album, but grunge never moved me. Its getting a bit boring after some songs
Beatles
3/5
Nice, but dated (is it allowed to say that about the fab four?)
Big Brother & The Holding Company

Liked the early stuff from Elvis Costello. Still do :-)
Pink Floyd
4/5
A masterpiece
Manu Chao
2/5
No thanks
Morrissey
3/5
Not the best solo album by Morrissey, but still a solid debut. With classic singles Suedehead and Everyday is like Sunday. On the latter the combination of the reverb effect on the guitar on and Moz’ voice is epic.
Brian Eno
3/5
A classic not to overlook..
The Waterboys
3/5
Great one from the Waterboys!
R.E.M.
4/5
A super collection of songs here, summing up the energy and great i die sound of the early R.E.M. before going mainstream
Throwing Muses
3/5

David Bowie
4/5
Great album. Here when Bowie really stood out and made a difference from the average
Genesis
3/5
Musically it has a great vibe all the way through, and with a lot of catchy parts. All in all it is getting too long, as with a lot of progressive 70s stuff. So, kind of ok, but there are better Genesis albums, both with Peter Gabriel and without him

Too pop for my taste, but nevertheless includes Monkeys too tight to mention. A classic 80s party song.
Motörhead
3/5
Great Old School straight forward heavy rock
The Pogues
3/5
Pogues at their best. Back then a new take on traditionel Irish folk music. Today still good
The Smiths
4/5
Personally this was the first full album by the Smiths that I got to know back in the 80’s, only having heard a few of the earlier singles prior to that. It made a big impact on my musical taste. The combination of very melodic indierock with lyrics put together very differently to what was the standard those days. I am still fond of this album. A lot, although I came to learn that it is not even the best of the Smiths
Yes
2/5
This kind of symphonic/progressive rock never captured me, and still doesn´t
Orbital
2/5

OK, some nice grooves here and there, but in general quite boring, and a lot of weird alectronics that might have sounded cool for a clubbing audience some time back in the 90’s, but not really long lasting
Gene Clark
2/5
Several times I have asked myself about the criteria for compiling this list. Once again it is the case when listening to this album by Gene Clark.
For some reason someone things it is important that I should listen to the weakest solo album made by Gene Clark before I die.
It is not really bad, but just boring compared to earlier of his albums and as well all the albums by the Byrds when he was still in that band.
Strange..

3/5
Solid indierock, but not really standing out
Ute Lemper
4/5
Really special, and interesting this one. A melting pot of indiepop, classical music, Celtic folk, cabaret. Not sure if I get it, but it is nevertheless appealing in a Strange wa.
John Prine
4/5
Feeling good laid back country/folk. And Angel of Montgomery, what a fine song
Johnny Cash
3/5
Classic, although dated..
R.E.M.
4/5
An all time favourite!
Carpenters
2/5
Boring…
Snoop Dogg
1/5
No..
The Soft Boys
3/5
A bit dated new-wave sound, but quite ok.
Simon & Garfunkel
4/5
Classic!
Super Furry Animals
3/5
Average indie rock
Creedence Clearwater Revival
4/5
An album not to be overlooked. Several of the classics are on it
Nine Inch Nails
3/5
Industrial indie. Like when released. Not so much any longer
George Michael
2/5
Nothing special.. but then again, never a big fan of George Michael. Some catchy hits, but that is it for me. Also the case here.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
3/5
Don’t really know about this one. It is for sure interesting, but as with a lot of symphonic/prog rock, I lack an organic spontaneous vibe. Hmm
Guns N' Roses
3/5
OK decent Rock n Roll album. Never understood all the hype about GnR though. Find them overrate somehow.
Roxy Music
4/5
A great album. Both musically and lyrically it offers so much more than the average glam rock of the time. Epic
The Cardigans
2/5
Average indie pop
Kacey Musgraves
2/5
Nice voice, decent music, but boring
Les Rythmes Digitales
2/5
Not interesting. Stück in time.
New York Dolls
3/5
Attitude and glam rock with a raw nerve. Not really standing the test of time, but obviously a defining album for the US punk rock scene evolving some years after. So not to be neglected after all.
Don McLean
2/5
The hybrid of folk and rock so typical for early 70’s US rock scene. Obviously the title track is a classic, but in general its dated
XTC
3/5
A very 80’s indiepop sound, and not really taht exciting. The lyrics are interesting though, bringing a certain quality
Paul McCartney and Wings
3/5
Hmmm. The Beatles… the world class solidly crafted music and lyrics is practically impossible to follow up with anything. And it shows here.
Actually not a bad album, but just not really exceptional. Where the Beatles were standing out, this is quite mainstream.
Elvis Costello
3/5
Never the bogfest fan of Elvis Costello, but must admit that this album is pretty decent
D'Angelo
2/5
Ahh. Not really my thing
The Louvin Brothers
1/5
Oh no… music for a museum
Dinosaur Jr.
2/5
Nothing special here.. from an overrated band.
Fairport Convention
2/5
Boring
Sonic Youth
2/5
Not that good..
Buena Vista Social Club
4/5
World class. So vibrant all the way
The Gun Club
4/5
Yes! Rock on! Perfect combo of rock n roll and punk
Burning Spear
4/5
Nice one! Reggae when it is best
Blood, Sweat & Tears
3/5
Decent recording, but not really my kind of music
Mariah Carey
2/5
Oh no..
Deep Purple
4/5
Iconic!
The Divine Comedy
3/5
Very nice. Catchy pop songs with an indie twist
Cream
4/5
Fantastic! Superb mix of psychedelia and groovy power blues
Morrissey
4/5
Like it. Indeed Morrissey at his best
My Bloody Valentine
2/5
Somehow weird… too weird for me
Neil Young
4/5
Love it. Neil Young really has music and lyrics coming together perfectly here.
M.I.A.
1/5
Terrible
Drive Like Jehu
1/5
Wouw.. a very unpleasant experience
2/5
Not for me
Can
2/5
Hmmm… interesting moments here and there, but in general to weird for my taste.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
3/5
Not a favourite for me, from start to finish, but there is a lot of nice poetry and beautiful melancholy atmosphere here and there
Rush
3/5
This album is moving 1970’s prog/rock into the 80s. Not bad, but not exceptional.
Neu!
3/5
Interesting electronic elements in it, and with a nice drive. The inspiration to many of the early new wave bands of late 70s and early 80s is obvious
Gram Parsons
2/5
I suppose you have to be a country lover to really like this one. I am not.
However, the vocal harmonies with Emmylou Harris are beautiful though, and adds some magic here and there. Without this it would have been boring, especially the religious elements…
Marvin Gaye
4/5
The album in its entirety is overrated in my opinion. A lot of the interlude elements connecting the tracks I find boring. However at the same time some of Marvin Gayes finest songs are on this album. And that is magic!
Jack White
4/5
Such a great musician Jack White. This album is a fantastic blend of Indierock, grunge and blues. Love it.
Britney Spears
2/5
No thanks
Morrissey
4/5
Ohh. I like this one. This is the first solo album from Morrissey where he stood out from the Smiths shadow.
Off course some classic Morrissey songs already on the previous albums (Everyday is like Sunday, November spawned a monster, Suedehead, etc.) but then also a lot of fillers, and without clear direction.
Here everything comes together as a whole, and with brilliant guitar work by the two sidemen Boz Boorer and Alain Whyte.
Joan Armatrading
4/5
This album was new to me, and quite a surprise.
I have never listened a lot to Armatrading, but do recall she had some decent rock albums out in the early 80’s (Me Myself, and The Key) very energetic stuff as far as I remember.
However, here its quite a different style, like a blend between soul and singer-song folk music, with a very warm pleasant nerve through teh whole album.
I really like. Must listen to more Armatrading now..
The xx
2/5
Indie pop??!? No.. just boring electronica-RnB
Ali Farka Touré
1/5
Why this? It is soooo boring
Fever Ray
3/5
Quite interesting Electronic indie. Some inspiration from Massive Attack and Portishead here and there, although not at this level. But OK
Tom Tom Club
4/5
Love it! New Wave going Funkadelic. This album shows that Talking Heads is so much more than David Byrne
Throbbing Gristle
1/5
Anti Music… Do not get why it is important to listen to this before I die. Wast of time really
Ash
2/5
Shoegaze going grunge? OR grunge going Shoegaze? Either way it is not very exciting retrospectively
Scritti Politti
2/5
Nice laid back easy listening pop-rock up front. A quite dated 80’s sound though, getting boring over the whole album
Talk Talk
5/5
Pure Magic. if there ever was a perfect album, this is it..
Supergrass
3/5
Love the energy. But that’s it really
Michael Kiwanuka
2/5
Naahh, not really for me.
Peter Gabriel
4/5
Yes! Solid album from Peter Gabriel. An 80’s landmark recording.
Buck Owens
2/5
Maybe interesting for the die hard country fans. I am not a die hard country fan..
Jane's Addiction
3/5
Nice and solid. Grunge elements and early US punk elements coming together in a good way
Living Colour
3/5
Funky groovy stuff here, but also without real direction, which I am missing
The Dandy Warhols
4/5
Yeah! This is how a perfect modern stoner rock album should be made!
Queen
3/5
One of the better ones…..
2/5
Hmm, not really for me
Norah Jones
4/5
Nice laid back. Not complicated music here, but great musicianship, and strong vocal performance by Norah. A lot of talent shown here
The Thrills
4/5
Nice easy listening indie. Never heard it before, but a good listen. Will definitely check out more stuff by the Thrills
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
4/5
This is good. Original hip hop with a soul and funk vibe.
And real life story telling going on here. Not like todays gangster rap nonsense
The Monkees
2/5
OK easy listening 60’s pop-rock, although quite dated, and somehow gets boring after a while
The Verve
3/5
Atmospheric and vibrant indierock. Some great songs on it, although no outstanding “hits”
Roxy Music
4/5
Fantastic. Roxy Music at their best.
With a personal favourite, The thrill of it all and then classics like Out of the Blue and Casanova
Basement Jaxx
2/5
Not my kind of music, although some catchy and groovy elements here and there
Rod Stewart
4/5
Very melodic rock album with some singer-song and folk elements. Really like it
TV On The Radio
2/5
From an album perspective there is no direction here. Songs are mixing up various styles. Some of them hitting an interesting atmosphere, some are just weird.
After a while I am getting bored
Hot Chip
2/5
Boring… Is it actually composed tracks? IT sounds more like a DJ-electronic lounge set
The Good, The Bad & The Queen
2/5
I was quite excited about this album when it was released, being a fan of Blur, The Clash and The Verve.
I was also very disappointed when I listened to it back then, and listening to it again now, still was not that exciting. It is very average considering the great band the members came from.
Joe Ely
2/5
A lot of country.. too much for me
TV On The Radio
1/5
Wouw.. this is bad..
Jimmy Smith
2/5
Easy listening jazz.. I am faling asleep
Lorde
3/5
Nice laid back atmosphere and soft vibes throughout the album, but also a bit boring
Soundgarden
4/5
Yeah! Groovy Rock n Roll!
Calexico
3/5
OK, but not fantastic
Julian Cope
3/5
Used to listen a lot to early Julian Cope, up to around 1985-86, where I went in other directions. So this one was an interesting revisit, and an ok one..
Harry Nilsson
2/5
OK, 1-2 good songs but overall it is quite boring. Dated sound..
Lenny Kravitz
2/5
A lot of people tell me Lenny Kravitz is great, but I never figurered why. OK. The title track here is decent, but in general the music does not speak to me
Spacemen 3
3/5
I never laid much attention to Spacemen 3 back in the day when this album was released. Must say that giving it a listen now was a nice experience.
Not that it is fantastic, but there are several interesting tracks on it
Muddy Waters
4/5
Nice. This is indeed a source of inspiration for so much RnB and rock music that came later
George Harrison
4/5
So much quality musicianship here. A collection of many beautiful songs, where some could have been Beatles material.
Always considered Harrison to be among the greatest song writers in the late 60’s. Only bad luck for him that while he might have been among the greatest 25 song writers of this period, he was in the same band as 2 other songwriters that would top the same list..
Dwight Yoakam
2/5
This is average pop music. Nothing special about it.
PJ Harvey
4/5
Yeah! A great album!
Rage Against The Machine
4/5
Wouw!… This is cool and groovy RnR all the way!
Tom Waits
3/5
Hmmm. Putting music to Burkowsky.. All singing does not have to be about a beautiful and trainer singing voice. Tom Waits proves it here.. nice album
Beck
2/5
Never really understood the fuzz about Beck. Interesting album ok, but good, hmm not really
Earth, Wind & Fire
3/5
Don’t really get it.. This is an ok album, but why on this list. The really great ones came later..
Paul Simon
3/5
Feel good easy listening from Paul Simon
Well crafted, but also a bit boring..
Joan Baez
2/5
Beautiful voice for sure, but very dated… not a favourite
Sparks
4/5
Weird stuff.. in a great way!
The Velvet Underground
4/5
A fantastic album. Maybe even better than the debut?..Ahh maybe not, but fantastic and without double one of the albums making the foundation for the alternative/indie-rock scene evolving during teh late 70’s
John Martyn
2/5
Find it a bit boring..
Lou Reed
4/5
A glam rock kind of thing.. with interesting lyrics. I like it
The Blue Nile
2/5
A very 80’s synth sound. Some weird stuff here mixed with a few catchy songs. Ok, but not that memorable, imo..
Prince
4/5
It’s an interesting album somehow. A blend of Electro funk and pop music ballads.
Not a favourite album for me, but then there are the singles drawn from it, that really stand out.
To me it is 3 stars for Sign o’ the times, the album, plus an additional star for Sign ‘o the times, the song
Bill Callahan
2/5
Boring..
The Streets
2/5
Never understood the hype here… sorry
Frank Sinatra
3/5
Nice easy listening here.
Orbital
2/5
Perhaps fantastic in 1994, with respect to technology available at the time. Now, Electronic music has developed so much since then, and today this just sounds dull
The Boo Radleys
3/5
Great indie rock album. Kind of extrovert shoegaze
Shack
3/5
Yet another album released at the tail end of the brit pop era… and so it sounds, Nice melodic indie pop, but nothing really standing out at this point in time that several bands had not already done in the 2-3 years before.
Tom Waits
2/5
Tom Waits is really not a great singer… I suppose this is somehow why he has become famous. But he cannot sing.. there is a kind of authentic blues feel on this album, but that about it
Arcade Fire
4/5
The rise of a great band.
AFter the lo-fi debut, here is where Arcade Fire really found their signature sound and took off.
No cars go,,,, yeah!
David Bowie
4/5
The whole atmosphere created here is magic. One of many peak points for Mr. Jones.. (or “Low” in this case…)
Astor Piazzolla
2/5
Hmmm. Interesting, but sounds more like the soundtrack to a 70’s movie, than music in its own right. Not really a favourite
Motörhead
3/5
Wouw.. somehow a classic back in the day. Hardcore punk meets heavy metal. However getting old I suppose. Playing the album in its entirety and my ears hurt…. Nice for a song or too, but then… too much
Boston
1/5
Typical 70’s soft rock.. not really for me
Bert Jansch
2/5
OK music, but somehow boring
Missy Elliott
1/5
Rap.. No thanks
Led Zeppelin
5/5
Wow.. so cool so groovy. A classic!
Queens of the Stone Age
3/5
Yeah! Rock on!
Led Zeppelin
5/5
The best….
Talvin Singh
3/5
Very interesting blend of world music and trip-hop electronica.. Not sure if I really like it, but there is a certain exciting atmosphere around it
U2 far from their peak. A solid album though with a few a few stand out tracks, like Stuck in a moment and Beautiful day.
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
3/5
Kind of like this album for the energy and freshness of the tracks. It is not fantastic, but quite good still
Django Django
3/5
Psychedelia meets Electronica… and it is quite exciting..
Bob Dylan
4/5
Real Music.. Great story telling, accompanied by acoutsic guitar and harmonica. Sometimes it doesn’t take more than that…
Röyksopp
2/5
Nice for easy listening, but that is it really
Beastie Boys
3/5
I was never one for hip hop. But ok, credit for teh party vibe BB are creating here..
The Cure
5/5
Wow… This one captures the essense of early 80s post-punk/Indierock. Epic!
Once I discovered this album some time back in 82-83 it was on a regular spin for the next 8-10 years during my high school years and some years after. Even today I listen to it once in a while… Up there with the top 3-5 best albums by the Cure
1/5
Terrible.. Sugar coated old-school country. It’s just too much
Willie Nelson
2/5
Seems to be Willie Nelson insisting on recording a handful of his own personal favourites, rather than finding covers that would actuallly fit him. Obviously there is the musicianship here as it should be, but weird picks, like Unchained Melody and All of me. He does not make a difference here.
Sheryl Crow
2/5
Decent album, but not fantastic. In retrospect it makes you wonder why practically half of the songs were released as singles. 2 or 3 good songs, but hey, they are not all that good. Perhaps the record company did not have other artists at the time….
The Byrds
2/5
You have to be an American die hard Hill-Billy country fan to love this album… well, I am not. Here is the point where the Byrds moves away from the earlier, blend of Beach Boys vocal harmonies and jangling psychedelic guitars. This I find sad..
Japan
4/5
Love it.. Japan evolving from wannabe glam-rockers, to defining their own unique art-rock indie sound..
Sonic Youth
2/5
Probably what Velvet Underground would have sounds like if they had been an 80’s band. A nice and interesting vibe is going on here, but the musicianship and vocals are weak. Anyhow, as with VU, I get the feeling that this is not what it is about anyway. Rather it is a kind of we don’t care if we are not that technically skilled, we come out with something more important than that, as an art thing. I am divided… but overall it does not really appeal to me. Probably because I do not really get the lyrics either.
Janet Jackson
3/5
Quite ok Pop/modern RnB here, obviously pulling inspiration from Prince. However after some tunes you realise that it is without the Prince x-factor though. So decent, but not outstanding…
T. Rex
3/5
Hmm. Not that exciting actually, but Get it on, on the other hand, iconic!
Stereo MC's
4/5
So groooovy. Love it!
Silver Jews
2/5
Laid back low-key indie. Nothing exciting here really
Sugar
3/5
Some regard this one an indie classic. I don’t, just find it boring retrospectively..
Astrud Gilberto
3/5
Nice easy listening, although not that memorable
Dion
1/5
Cannot figure out why this album is on the list. It is really poor
Gillian Welch
2/5
Hmm.. boring hillbilly stuff
Black Flag
2/5
Legendary punk rock from early 80s. Loved this kind of music as a teenager back then… but now I am older, and have moves on
Bob Dylan
5/5
Another iconic album by Dylan. A true favourite of mine
Goldfrapp
3/5
Indie electronica.. weird stuff here and there. Exciting melancholic stuff here and there.. kind of an ok album
Pere Ubu
1/5
Really bad
Echo And The Bunnymen
4/5
Fantastic… Essential melodic garage indie rock. And so vibrant
David Crosby
3/5
A nice vibe here. Nothing exceptional but quite ok laid back easy listening soft rock.
FKA twigs
1/5
Hmm.. not for me
Beach House
3/5
Like the atmosphere created here. Kind of updated shoegaze, with more electronica. Only after some songs it gets a bit boring though. Songs lack variation for the album to really take off.. imo..
Justice
2/5
Collection of electronic dance tracks good for discoteques or clubs… but not very exciting in its entirety as an album. Then it is too much synthesizer programmerne rather than real music. Adding vocals might have improved the overall impression, but there are none..
Beastie Boys
3/5
Nice one. Hip hop with heavy rock samples..
Prefab Sprout
4/5
Love it!
The Chemical Brothers
3/5
Not bad this one. Indierock fro night clubbing. WOuld have liked more vocals, but still there is a lot of cool groovy stuff going on here
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
3/5
Nice electronic indierock. A bit average, but like it at least for the Karen O dramatic vocals
Q-Tip
3/5
Never was a big fan of hip hop, but the mixing up with laid back groovy soul and RnB elements makes a difference here. There is a nice vibe going on throughout this album, so not so bad I guess…
The Who
3/5
Love it!. Love the Who. Not their best album, but still love it
Pretenders
4/5
The essence of early 80’s new wave. An iconic great album!
Sonic Youth
2/5
Noise in the making, beauty in the noise?.. great elements here and there, but above all it like it is getting to conceptional. Noise rock for the purpose of noise rock, lacking groove and vibe..
I recall listening to this album back in the day, and not quite getting on board, although Sonic Youth was a big thing then (late 80’s). It hasn’t really changed now that I give it a new listen.
Beth Orton
3/5
Nice laid back atmosphere here. Nice folk/singer-song with an indie twist
Emmylou Harris
2/5
Hmm.. Beautiful voice, you can’t take that away from Emmylou Harris, but then here we are stuck in old school country land, with all its sugar coated elements.. like the strings on the slower tunes. Too much for my taste
Mott The Hoople
3/5
Quite a good rock album from a great band. Also a band that people tend to forøget about nowadays, which is a pitty. Early glam rock. NIce
Ramblin' Jack Elliott
2/5
Nothing special really
Depeche Mode
4/5
An iconic electronica/synthpop album by pionders of that genre DM. Some claim its their best, and it really is good. Personally I have 2-3 other DM albums that I might rate higher, although for sure Violator is in my top 3-4.
Solomon Burke
2/5
A nice collection of classic RnB oldie hits. And that’s it really. As an album it lacks a bit of direction.
Lupe Fiasco
1/5
Wow. Holy cr… already looking at the cover art work (or lack of it), makes me wanna throw up..
M.I.A.
1/5
Oh no..
Iron Maiden
3/5
A classic I suppose, although there are better Maiden albums, like Killers.. the one that followed
Drive-By Truckers
2/5
Njaa.. nothing special really
Neil Young
4/5
Nice album. Like it
Steely Dan
2/5
OK musicianship, but boring in the long run. This thing about music being all soft, without an edge I never understood. Not for me
Jimi Hendrix
3/5
A lot of great energy, but also a lot of guitar (obviously), but over the whole album it gets too much for me, although individualitet several great tracks. So a bit divided here
Genesis
3/5
Never a big fan of prog rock. This album however, is one of the better ones. Not bad actually…
The Velvet Underground
5/5
Wouw… a fantastic and iconic album.
Ryan Adams
3/5
Ahh.. nothing special here really
Saint Etienne
3/5
Nice one!
Boards of Canada
2/5
Not my taste.. too weird somehow
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
3/5
Like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but prefer their later material, rather than this.
A little too rough and sketchy for me here
LTJ Bukem
2/5
No thanks. Not my kind.
Ella Fitzgerald
4/5
Nice jazz with Ella. Such a powerful voice
Massive Attack
4/5
A very cool recording!
Robbie Williams
4/5
Solid work here, and only the beginning of Robbie defining himself as an artist in his own right
Public Image Ltd.
3/5
Hmm.. kind of ok, but not fantastic
Tim Buckley
3/5
Folk meets psychedelia.. great moments here and there, but a dated sound from a todays perspective
Barry Adamson
2/5
Good musicians joining in here, and that show, but then it is also a bit too conceptual for my taste. PRoduction and arrangements are over done..
Sigur Rós
2/5
Not a fan..
Ian Dury
4/5
Love it! It has a nice cozy vibe around it.
Girls Against Boys
2/5
Hmm.. why this one?
Dagmar Krause
2/5
Weird choice for this list
Pantera
2/5
No thanks
Destiny's Child

1/5
Whaaat?

4/5
A fantastic album. Nothing less…
Circle Jerks
4/5
Wouw.. classic, 1-2-3-4, take no prisoners!
Prince
4/5

The Beta Band

The Go-Betweens
3/5
A nice warm vibe going on here, and well crafted melodies and lyrics. Like it
Tim Buckley
2/5
Typical late 60’s folk. Very popular then. Retrospectively not that exciting though. I find it boring
Thin Lizzy
4/5
An iconic live album.
Although the production has its flaws, due to the compiling of songs from various gigs. There is so much energy here from a band really at the top of their game
Jerry Lee Lewis
4/5
Wouw..what a blast from the past! Love it
Stevie Wonder
3/5
Not really up there among the best Stevie Wonder albums, but still it is well crafted, and blends easy listening with funky grooves as only Stevie Wonder can…
CHIC
3/5
Nice groovy stuff here. A littel dated though
John Cale
2/5
Not a favourite, although the album title indicates some sort of a theme or direction, I fail to find it, and then vocals are weak.
The Psychedelic Furs
2/5
Like the energy and the raw nerve, but then again there is a constant noisy sound throughout the album, which I find annoying when listening to the album in its entirety…
Cee Lo Green
2/5
Nice voice, boring songs.
Pixies
2/5
Songs going in many different directions, and so do the vocals. Not keen..
Air
2/5
Nothing special really
Moby Grape
3/5
Nice 60’s California folk psychedelia.
Metallica
2/5
Hmm.. not my music
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
2/5
Its a weird thing…songs about murder and murderers. Kind of interesting as a concept, but the music does not really capture me
The Triffids
3/5
Nice 80’s indierock, with interesting lyrics
Dennis Wilson
2/5
Its referred to as a classic.. I find it quite ordinary though
Brian Eno
2/5
Weird
Belle & Sebastian
3/5
I am a fan of Belle & Sebastian. Always enjoyed the laid back attitude, and catchy indie pop.
Tigermilk is only the beginning though and far from later peaks. In this connection I am once again confused about what it is I am supposed to hear before I die.
2-3 later B&S albums could easily be on that list. This one… ok, but not fantastic
Erykah Badu
3/5
Nice, but not fantastic
Lucinda Williams
4/5
Yeah. Great drive and energy all the way
Nina Simone
2/5
Legendary Singer. Obviuosly. But average album, and dated

The Stone Roses
4/5
In light of how little material they actaully released, I find it quite amazing how the Stones Roses are being considered one of the greatest rock bands, evolving out of the late 80’s/early 90’s by many. Personally I Think they are overrated to some extend.
That said.. This album is fantastic. There are no bad tracks and it is groovy and vibrant from start to finish. Epic!
David Bowie
4/5
A beatiful way to say goodbye.. warm atmospheric art-rock
RIP David Bowie
Duran Duran
4/5
Duran Duran taking their music from the earlier new-wave clubbing indie approach to fame, with a really strong album.
Steely Dan
2/5
Sorry. I find it boring..
Frank Zappa
1/5
Wouw.. more weird than actually good
Pentangle
3/5
Mix Jeferson Airplane and the Mamas and Papas, add a little folk from the old English tradition…. Then you have Pentangle.
A nice album, but a bit stuck in time
AC/DC
4/5
Wouw.. A super album, and a rare ocassion where continuing with a new lead singer is possible. Although Bon Scott was iconic, Brian Johnson is delivering strong vocals, and that is on top of some of AC/DCs best tunes.
Epic!
Alice Cooper
2/5
Glitter and glam, but not really more than that..
Black Sabbath
3/5
Classic groovy heavy rock
Antony and the Johnsons
1/5
??.. no thanks
Arctic Monkeys
4/5
Yes! So fresh, so good!
Dolly Parton
3/5
Beautiful voices, and 3 of them. Nice easy litening album
Dizzee Rascal
1/5
No
The Youngbloods
2/5
Country rock. Nice and soft, but without an edge, leaving a boring anomynous expression after a few songs.
The The
3/5
Indie rock classic I suppose.. Like it. From back in the day when indie rock was new wave
Mercury Rev
2/5
Indie rock for the intellectuals.. very nice atmospheric arrangements, but also getting a bit boring
Richard Hawley
4/5
Yes! Great album. Richard Hawley is blessed with a great voice. Surely shows here. And then on top of well crafted music, the result is nice warm and vibrant tunes all the Way..
Aretha Franklin
5/5
Not a lot to say here. It’s a classic. One of the best soul albums ever made… and the voice of Aretha when she at the top of her game
Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
4/5
Very nice salsa music. Great energy
Cocteau Twins
3/5
It is special. Cocteau Twins are special, not easily approached, but there is magic going on here. And as always the fantastic voice of Elisabeth Frazer
Wilco
3/5
Good decent straight forward 90’s garage rock. Not exception, but solid.
CHVRCHES
2/5
Hmm. Some nice electronica groves going on here and there, but vocals are boring
Jefferson Airplane
4/5
A fantastic album!
Black Sabbath
4/5
Woooow… This is heavy metal, when it still was rooted in groovy blues. Like it a lot!
Nitin Sawhney
2/5
Not bad, but boring
De La Soul
1/5
Ohhh.. This is soooo bad.
Nick Drake
2/5
Not really a fan of this one. Fail to see the direction. On one hand there is the quiet and beautiful acoustic guitar, but then on the other there is typical 70’s pop horn arrangement disturbing it.
And then the vocals.. not that strong either
Peter Frampton
2/5
Typical 70’s mainstream rock, sounding quite dated. Theres is a great vibe though.
Bee Gees
2/5
Obviously their vocal work is solid, but as a whole I find the album boring and dated
The Magnetic Fields
1/5
Banjo and folk, meets electronics. With some weird vocals added.
Not my thing, sorry
Deee-Lite
2/5
Groove is in the Heart…ok cool dance-track and a monster hit.. the rest. Not really that exciting retrospectively
The Mothers Of Invention
2/5
Not a fan
Bob Marley & The Wailers
4/5
Beatiful! So vibrant and organic
Thundercat
2/5
Cannot figure it out. Interesting rather than good
The Kinks
3/5
Love it. Many great songs here
The Replacements
3/5
Like this one!
John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
4/5
A classic!
Paul McCartney
2/5
Boring…
B.B. King
5/5
Compusary listening for anybody into blues music. A cornerstone in the genre. Just fantastic
Ice Cube
1/5
Oh no. Soooo bad
System Of A Down
3/5
Kind of OK. But not a metal fan basically
Germs
2/5
Ahh.. not really
Blondie
4/5
Not much to say here. Blondie at their peak. Fantastic melodic and catchy indie rock!
Ozomatli
1/5
Bad
Tom Waits
1/5
Never a fan really. He can’t sing
Talking Heads
3/5
Crazy good indie funk…
Method Man
1/5
Rap.. no thanks
Super Furry Animals
2/5
Well.. interesting here and there, but not really great
Radiohead
2/5
Really love the first Radiohead albums, but here it is getting to weird for me. Trying to find some kind of musical backbone throughout the album, but not finding it. A disappointment actually.
Rod Stewart
3/5
A nice collection of songs, but nothing exceptional though
Nirvana
3/5
A nice raw sound. Essential grunge. In retrospective I find it a bit dated, and quite monotonou though.
Janelle Monáe
2/5
Pop music going in many directions. Quite fresh but also difficult to figure out what it is all about here
Radiohead
4/5
This is a brilliant album, So deep i both lyrics and music. A real classic
