Way cooler than I assumed from the band name. Also - I have no idea how I missed these guys back in the early 90's.

Weird but way better than expected.
You say "we need more energy", I turn on Electric Callboy. Great ridiculous add to an already wild assortment of music.
Very synthesized, almost ambient "jam music." Ze Germans always had a good corner on this particular type of music. Had never heard of them until now. Based on late 60's-70's timeframe I'd imagine lots of bands watched these guys and took notes for the late 70's-80's synth "noise bands."
Eh..never heard of em. Super generic 80's "hard rock." Nothing stood out. Maybe they never "made it" out of Australia?

A unique pick. Not sure how its an all time greatest (I mean, other than someones favorite that made it through the list of 1001). In the vein of "Albums you must listen to" I don't feel this falls on that list. Come and get it.
I never have like Dave, however, his band is stellar and they jam out like none other.
I've never chosen to listen to them before. Goth/metal/rock band. Very vampiric. Interesting album.
Energy.
So weird..but wonderful

surprise album! really enjoyed it, even not knowing what the heck they were singing about. Dig it. Gonna go listen to Cheese now.
definitely folk. interesting themed album. doesn't make me want to explore more of Richard's work and a once through was enough.
Solid
Pleasantly surprised. May check out some more.
Appreciate the album theme and the talent but not my gig.
Classic
Super unique album. Interesting artist history and story. Will check out their other works.
Way cooler than I assumed from the band name. Also - I have no idea how I missed these guys back in the early 90's.
Never heard of them prior. Interesting album.
Forgetful.
I randomly heard one of their songs on the radio the other day and piqued my interest - glad this popped up. Didn't disappoint. For a freshman album - self released, it awesome!
It is a classic!
RIGHT IN THE FEELS. This brings me back. Can't disagree with blink-182. 2 people picking blink on "personal choice" records is a bit wild... I think the Blink 182 self titled is probably "more 1001" however you can't go wrong with Enema of the State.
Great album!
Solid.
Whoa. This was a new one to me. Super cool and the backstory of this or The Wall...understand why this went to his side project. Neat regardless.
Nope.
Hmm. it was ok. Not my cup of tea and no songs were memorable.
I enjoyed this. Its not my usual stuff but this was a fun listen. Thanks!
Better than I thought!
Live albums aren't good examples of 60-70's artists.
i had no idea this was its own genre of ambient doom metal or whatever... it's not for me. I think i need a bit less ambient.
A great example of a good boy band album
Wild concept for an album. Interesting to listen to but i think The Caretaker hit the mark pretty darn well.
Cool sound. I listened to a 2013 release of it and had no idea it was actually rooted in the 70's until a few songs in. Wild.
No thanks.
Its jack.
Super corny lyrics. Symphonic metal is always though so it balances to a 3 in my book.
I had low expectations as I had never heard of PPPP before. They surprised me. It was a really well mixed live album, their "jam band" style was great, but their lyrics lacked content imo (do you expect great lyrics with a name like them?). Its all good though as lyrics were more secondary to the music. I will definitely listen to more PPPP.
Early 2000's rock. If this doesnt get you hyped for something I don't know what would.
when Bjork and glitch hop combine. Was not expecting it. Very interesting stuff.
Classic. If it wasn't your thing, listen to it a few more times cause he's going the distance!
Pretty standard Sufjan. His writing is great but it all starts blending together. A couple tracks usually stand out but this record didn't hit it for me like some of his others.
Not for me. Prog. rock rarely tickles my fancy and the Cardiacs didn't do it for me (so far). I tried to listen to both discs (whatever was Spotify) and I think I made it to about the 50 minute mark before I had to move on. I'll visit the last 40 minutes later.
I love themed albums. Fun eclectic folksy album with lots of fun special guests.
Love em.
Better than I thought.
I went in blind. For some reason I assumed Os Mundi was Latin American...until I saw other albums...and went "but that's German", then I was confused. It all makes sense now. Prog-rock, german 70's band, singing about Latin Mass. Weird pick.
Slick album
I think I was turned off by Spose due to his silly music video's but listening to Get Rich or Die Ryan has been fun. I'll check out some of his other albums/EP's based on this reintroduction.
painful distorted guitar and mic EVERY song. IF their levels were a bit better and not as painful to listen to I'd probably rate it better.
Total surprise. This was great.
You say "we need more energy", I turn on Electric Callboy. Great ridiculous add to an already wild assortment of music.
Never had heard em before. Dug this album
What the heck.... some of these are amazing. I checked out Mouth Silence as well. Wild mixes.
Better than I thought and had never heard of them before. Neat add.
I've listened to this once in my life. Its all I need.
Amazing bassist. Good stuff.
Never heard of these guys before. Wicked Deftones vibes. I can see how these guys are (my words) godfathers of post hardcore. Pretty neat. Ran me down a rabbit hole of other similars as well.
Rockin
wall of noise. its a bit much.
Definitely checking more of them out.
Not a country guy but I appreciated the tracks.
The energy of this album and band is amazing. Like a kind of new punk, but with layered melodies and some modulated, but a good hectic, frenzied pace. Check out live shows or their videos to add just a bit more energy.
Classic
This is amazing.
I'm not a fan, but she has diverse range. Almost "a modern female Bowie" feel. No hate, I'd just rather listen to Bowie.
Fun
Hiphop meets Rock merged together for one seemless sampled album. Hyped!
one of my faves
epic
interesting concept
i never thought I'd be listening to a mandolin and piano album. especially on a top 1500 list...i yawned alot. me.
Close but not quite transistor
Hmm. It was OKAY. The first few tracks were fine but it got too 'angry australian' at the end. Maybe the few tracks were just good for an EP?
That was a neat mix of cultures.
Fun upbeat orchestral jamming! I like em and will explore more.
The Knife has a unique sound. Always a good listen.
For the individual that added this - how was the other 1400 albums for you? This was off the beaten track of "best albums you must listen too" however it was great piano instrumental music.
I think I like Bladee when they collaborate with other artists...i think they fall under mumble rap and I'm not a huge fan.
