Way cooler than I assumed from the band name. Also - I have no idea how I missed these guys back in the early 90's.

You say "we need more energy", I turn on Electric Callboy. Great ridiculous add to an already wild assortment of music.

Very synthesized, almost ambient "jam music." Ze Germans always had a good corner on this particular type of music. Had never heard of them until now. Based on late 60's-70's timeframe I'd imagine lots of bands watched these guys and took notes for the late 70's-80's synth "noise bands."

A unique pick. Not sure how its an all time greatest (I mean, other than someones favorite that made it through the list of 1001). In the vein of "Albums you must listen to" I don't feel this falls on that list. Come and get it.

RIGHT IN THE FEELS. This brings me back. Can't disagree with blink-182. 2 people picking blink on "personal choice" records is a bit wild... I think the Blink 182 self titled is probably "more 1001" however you can't go wrong with Enema of the State.

4/5
I had low expectations as I had never heard of PPPP before. They surprised me. It was a really well mixed live album, their "jam band" style was great, but their lyrics lacked content imo (do you expect great lyrics with a name like them?). Its all good though as lyrics were more secondary to the music. I will definitely listen to more PPPP.

Sufjan Stevens
3/5
Pretty standard Sufjan. His writing is great but it all starts blending together. A couple tracks usually stand out but this record didn't hit it for me like some of his others.
Cardiacs
2/5
Not for me. Prog. rock rarely tickles my fancy and the Cardiacs didn't do it for me (so far). I tried to listen to both discs (whatever was Spotify) and I think I made it to about the 50 minute mark before I had to move on. I'll visit the last 40 minutes later.

I went in blind. For some reason I assumed Os Mundi was Latin American...until I saw other albums...and went "but that's German", then I was confused. It all makes sense now. Prog-rock, german 70's band, singing about Latin Mass. Weird pick.
