Popular Reviews

Purple Rain by Prince

Prince is one of the greatest of all times. Not one of my personal favorites, but this album highlights his talents to the fullest.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell

When I first listened to this I was really impressed with the musical depth by the band. The bass playing reminded me of Jaco and after doing some research it turns out it was him! I give this album a higher score than I probably would all do to the great musicians backing these mid vocals

Meat Puppets II by Meat Puppets

This album is touted as a big influence on many early 90s bands and I can see why. This album has a unique sound that must have been mind bending back when it was originally released. Today This album sounds a little tired, I don't think it can be blamed on the band. Just a sign of the times.

Tank Battles by Dagmar Krause

Couldn't find it. Couldn't listen to it.

Jan 17 2026

Enjoyed the album, nothing remarkable tho.

xx by The xx
Jan 20 2026

Underwhelming.

Jan 21 2026

My favorite part is reading the reviews. Either 5 or 1. People love or hate Dylan. I am in neither camp. I am indifferent. This album is ok.

Bitte Orca by Dirty Projectors
Jan 22 2026

I don't get it.

Brutal Youth by Elvis Costello
Jan 26 2026

The ramblings of a mad man. It's a shame, the music and the production on this album are very good. The vocals ruin it.

Roots by Sepultura
Jan 29 2026

A classic metal album!

Shaft by Isaac Hayes
Jan 30 2026

Funky goodness. I Only heard 4 songs from the spotify link, more tracks would be cool.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Jan 31 2026

Good album, sounds ahead of its time. Not a fan of the vocal tone, too bland for my taste.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Feb 02 2026

If you are looking for a blues album to listen too, this is definitely that. I have never been a blues fan so this album is not for me.

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
Feb 04 2026

I don't care for the Doors much. I was hoping this album might get me into them. It did not. This album is ok.

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Feb 05 2026

This album literally gave me a headache.

Black Monk Time by The Monks
Feb 06 2026

The spotify album is full of AI tracks. I will have to revisit this one day if they ever clear that up. I liked what I heard of legit music. *I listened on YouTube. Very cool album. I like the vibe and energy.

Purple Rain by Prince
Feb 07 2026

Prince is one of the greatest of all times. Not one of my personal favorites, but this album highlights his talents to the fullest.

Orbital 2 by Orbital
Feb 08 2026

Dated electronica that I am not sure was great when it was released. Middle of the road with no particular track jumping out.

Feb 09 2026

Definitely not Queen's best album, bit there are a few highlights in this album. I bet this album gets better the more you listen to it.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Feb 10 2026

Nice sounding album, but it falls a little flat for me. Seems to be one dimensional. Not my thing, I can appreciate the talent tho.

Bug by Dinosaur Jr.
Feb 11 2026

I am a fan of many bands in the genre, this is my first Dinosaur JR album that I have listened to front to back. It's pretty good, not the best this genre has to offer but it definitely belongs umoung it's peers.

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Feb 12 2026

Just seems like unorganized noise, a few cool guitar licks but this is ultimately a no for me dog.

Bandwagonesque by Teenage Fanclub
Feb 13 2026

Never heard of this band. I like it. Cool melodies and riffs. A little too brokenhearted for me, but 14 year old me would have spent hours with this album.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Feb 14 2026

Never heard of this band or album and was presently surprised how much I enjoyed it. Smart writing and catchy licks.

Highly Evolved by The Vines
Feb 15 2026

I like it! I like the guitar tones and the vocals. I only ever heard Get Free but the rest of the album is just as strong

Henry's Dream by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Feb 16 2026

This album finally made Nick Cave click for me. Solid album front to back with some highlights for me being " Loon of the Land" and "Papa won't leave you, Henery".

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Feb 17 2026

A perfect album front to back.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Feb 18 2026

This album is full of punk goodness. I can hear this bands influence on many bands and punk as a whole. Iggy is a legend and this album is shining moment for him.

21 by Adele
Feb 19 2026

This is as close to a modern day classic that I can think of. I think this album will stand the test of time. Many massive hits and great vocal performances. This isn't my type of music but I can appreciate the talent and the song writing.

Feb 20 2026

Tom Waits has a swagger about him that is undeniable. I can't see myself putting this on randomly, but I do enjoy it. I probably won't spend much time with this album after this listen, but I do wonder if this would get better with time or is it just a novelty?

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Feb 21 2026

A lot of layers in this music. Takes a couple listens to unlock some of those layers. The compositions are beautiful. The performances leave something to be desired in my opinion, overall a good first outing for this group.

The White Album by Beatles
Feb 22 2026

A lot of hits and A lot of filler. The hits are good enough to overlook the filler. Great Beatles album.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Feb 23 2026

When I first listened to this I was really impressed with the musical depth by the band. The bass playing reminded me of Jaco and after doing some research it turns out it was him! I give this album a higher score than I probably would all do to the great musicians backing these mid vocals

Revolver by Beatles
Feb 24 2026

This is one of those 5/5 Beatles albums. A must listen.

Lady In Satin by Billie Holiday
Feb 25 2026

This album is not to my taste. Monotonous and boring is how I would describe it. Her voice is uninspiring. I can not tell when one song starts and one song ends. It's all the same. Not for me, respectfully.

Feb 26 2026

I really enjoy the textures and tones on this album. No tracks jumped out at me, so it a fairly balanced album. Over all I didn't love it and I didn't hate it.

Histoire De Melody Nelson by Serge Gainsbourg
Feb 27 2026

One thing I really enjoy about this 1001 album experience is the ritual. The ritual of getting an album, sometimes something completely new to me. I downloaded it and do some research and then sit down and listen front to back. This album slightly tainted that. Doing some research gave me the ick. The listening was not enjoyable. The vocals are rapey even without knowing what they meant. Knowing what they meant just made it that much more gross. I am giving this a 2 because the music is nice and well performed.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Feb 28 2026

Well written, well performed and well produced. This album is a hit!

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Mar 01 2026

Hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Willie Nelson has 150+ albums and I haven't listened to an entire album of his until this one. I was not very impressed but I definitely didn't hate it. I look forward to hearing more Willie on this list.

White Ladder by David Gray
Mar 02 2026

This album is completely average.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Mar 03 2026

The more I hear of the talking heads the more I enjoy them.such a fun original sound they have.

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
Mar 04 2026

I don't have much experience with world music. The little I do know has not been my thing. This album has some cool moments and neat sounds. I hope this is a sign of things to come in the world music genre on this list.

California by American Music Club
Mar 05 2026

I couldn't get this album on Spotify so I listened to their 1990 album Everclear. I like the vibe of this group. The vocals get a little repetitive, but enjoyable. I think I will dig a little deeper into their catalog.

Mar 06 2026

I enjoyed the listen. I will forget all about it in a week. Nothing spectacular about it. Good enough.

Smash by The Offspring
Mar 07 2026

This is a smash!

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Mar 08 2026

Like everyone, I have heard the singles from this album too much. I have never listened to this album front to back until this list. This is a solid rock album. I forgot this was their debut. That makes it all the more impressive.

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks
Mar 09 2026

I was surprised that this band was more punk/glam than it was hair metal. Unfortunately it's bland punk and and bland glam. The drums in particular are a let down. Not particular interesting overall.

Viva Hate by Morrissey
Mar 11 2026

Too brokenhearted, too whiny and too dull. I did not enjoy this. Just too much of the same. This review has so many too's so I guess this album gets a two.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
Mar 12 2026

One decent song doesn't make a good album even if it is 18 minutes long. This album and genre are not for me . Maybe if I was on drugs that might help.

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
Mar 13 2026

Monk is up there with the jazz greats. This isn't my favorite album by him but it's always a treat to listen to a master.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Mar 14 2026

I have never been able to get into Jimi Hendrix. This album didn't change that. I am happy it exists, but it's not for me.

Antichrist Superstar by Marilyn Manson
Mar 15 2026

This album hits all the high points for me. Sonicly massive. Great song writing. The performances from every member is raw and aggressive in the best possible way.

Mar 17 2026

Energetic, electric and funky! I knew wars singles but have never listened to much else. I have been presently surprised.

Mar 18 2026

A classic rap album with energy and a message. I don't think this album aged well but it is undoubtedly an album that has pioneered a sound that would carry throughout the 90s

90 by 808 State
Mar 19 2026

I would never choose to listen to this but I am glad I did. Definitely a little dated but the beats are cool.

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Mar 20 2026

This album has some interesting moments. But ultimately fails to launch. Most of the songs start in one place and don't evolve much. There are a few ear worms both lyrically and in the instruments. This album is good. But I am left wanting more out of it.

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Mar 21 2026

This album is definitely not peak Bruce. Sitting around a campfire strumming a tune is cool when you are sitting around a campfire but as a listening experience this leaves a lot to be desired.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Mar 22 2026

Well going through this list when an album from the 50's shows up I don't get to excited. Sonicly and production wise they are always a little flat Elvis bucks that trend. The recordings seem more alive than others of the period. Now when Elvis shows up on this list I will be more excited. Excellent Listening experience with this album.

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake by Small Faces
Mar 23 2026

The groove is cool, the lyrics are bit simple. This album is just ok.

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Mar 24 2026

Heartfelt and soulful. That's the most accurate way for me to describe this album. A very enjoyable listening experience.

The Only Ones by The Only Ones
Mar 25 2026

Mid tempo rock with low tempo vocals. This band sounds uninspired and aimless. The vocalist sounds like he was bored and is just blithering a stream of continuous. Not tge worst thing I have ever listened to, but I won't be listening again.

Slayed? by Slade
Mar 26 2026

In a world where there are bands that do what Slade do better than Slade, there is no need ro listen ro Slade. I don't mind this album, I just don't see a reason ro listen to it on purpose.

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Mar 28 2026

Some interesting sounds going on, ai find the vocals a little repetitive. Luckily the repetition is not a negative, I like it

Electric Prunes by The Electric Prunes
Mar 29 2026

This album is surprisingly charming. There is an innocent and carelessness to it that pleasantly surprised me. Good energy and pacing. Every track was a surprise, with no easily identifiable through line.

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Mar 30 2026

Love the energy and the experimental nature of this album.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Mar 31 2026

A few hits and lots of filler. I enjoy the vibe of the album, unfortunately by the end it is just a lot of the same old sound.

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Apr 01 2026

This album is a smooth ride. Intricate melodies, interesting textures and a deep atmosphere. Miles is always a treat to listen too.

Architecture And Morality by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Apr 02 2026

Very few high points in this album, mainly just plodding bleeps and bloops with sad vocals. I did not enjoy my tune with this album.

Metal Box by Public Image Ltd.
Apr 03 2026

This album spunda like a group of friends all showed up to a recording studio having never practiced or played their instruments. The only exception being the bass player. Everything else is terrible. I am giving this album a 2 just because the bass player held this mess together the best he could.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Apr 04 2026

This album is rich with layers and textures. Every song had me wondering what was next. An enjoyable listen that I will gladly do a more of in the future.

Real Life by Magazine
Apr 05 2026

Full of energy and feeling an album that probably felt dangerous at the time has lost some of its edge over time. I would have loved to be heard this when it was released.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Apr 06 2026

Not the best The Cure album, but still good

B-52's by The B-52's
Apr 07 2026

This band is better than their singles. This is the first album by them that I have listened to front to back, pleasantly surprised. Good album.

Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Apr 08 2026

The guitars are like the snare on St. Anger by Metallica. Just annoying enough to distract from everything else going on. There are some great parts hidden behind that wall of fuzz and reverb. I just wish I could here them better and more clearly.

Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
Apr 09 2026

Never heard of them, enjoyed listening to this. Solid album.

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Apr 10 2026

In a world of the beetles why would anyone want to listen to beetles wannabes. This album is just ok.

Apr 12 2026

What more is there to say that hasn't been said over and over? This album is a classic and for good reason.

Roger the Engineer by The Yardbirds
Apr 13 2026

This album sounds flat with a so so singer. Not the experience I was hoping for when this album came up.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Apr 14 2026

Delightful.

Dare! by The Human League
Apr 15 2026

Classic 80's sound. Solid album from front to back.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Apr 16 2026

I like the sound of his voice and the music is beautiful, I just wish he would sing more than he spoke. It's an interesting blend.

Apr 17 2026

This is two albums, the first ' born to be with you' I found flat and unremarkable. The second, ' sweetheart ' was better in comparison but still felt forgettable.

American Idiot by Green Day
Apr 18 2026

Not my favorite green day album, but this album is undeniably great.

Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective
Apr 19 2026

I want to like this but I just don't get it. I am sure if I spent more time with it ai would get it, but as of now I don't.

Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes
Apr 20 2026

This is weird, in a good way. I don't see myself listening to this much after this initial listen, but I am happy about the journey this album sent me on.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Apr 21 2026

Well written, well performed and well recieved by me.

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Apr 23 2026

This album was a pleasant surprise. It was fresh and inspiring. I am not the biggest hip hop/rap fan but an album like this could turn me into a big fan.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Apr 24 2026

Not the strongest release from Steely Dan, but a solid dad rock album.

Apr 25 2026

This album was so hyped up when it came out and I didn't listen to it then. When this came up on this list I was excited, that excitement faded fairly quick. There is too much filler on this album in my opinion, Lauren has a great voice but unfortunately there just wasn't enough here to get me to come back. This album is just ok.

Pink Flag by Wire
Apr 26 2026

I like my punk to have a bit more bite and edge.

War by U2
Apr 27 2026

Pleasantly surprised. I dont know why, this album sounds like U2. Maybe I like U2 more than I thought?

Fragile by Yes
Apr 28 2026

One big single and a bunch of experimental "trippy" music. It's a fun ride, but nothing I would listen to regularly.

Disintegration by The Cure
Apr 29 2026

The cure is Goth as good as it gets.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Apr 30 2026

I enjoy a good bossa nova and this album it full of them.

Metallica by Metallica
May 01 2026

A perfect heavy metal classic.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
May 02 2026

This album is by far the best experience that I have had with a Willie Nelson album. Feels pure and organic. Definitely a vibe.

Timeless by Goldie
May 04 2026

This album did absolutely nothing for me. I am not the target audience for this,I went in open minded and left this experience with mixed feelings. The sounds were uninspired and bland. The beats were meh.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
May 05 2026

I fell in love with Kid A when it came out so when this album dropped I was disappointed. This album is where I stopped listening to radiohead thinking they had peaked creatively over their first few albums. Recently I have gone back and listened to the albums I missed out on from newest to oldest. I was wrong, they did not peak, they just kept the great albums coming . This album is probably still my least favorite but I enjoy it more today than I did all those years ago. Glad I got back into radiohead.

KE*A*H** (Psalm 69) by Ministry
May 06 2026

The guitar and drums are killer, the vocals are all filler. This album/band set the ground work for bands that in my opinion took this genre to the next level( rammstien, rob zombie etc.).

Casanova by The Divine Comedy
May 07 2026

I don't know what this album is. It's quirky and fun. But is it good? I still don't know.

Winter In America by Gil Scott-Heron
May 08 2026

I was unable to listen to this on streaming platforms so I listened to the next album " the revolution will not be televised " funky, smooth and full of soul. I dig it.

May 09 2026

Does anybody know a person who claims Queen is their favorite band? For a band this good you would think they are somebody's favorite band but I have never heard anyone say it. This album is great.

Hms Fable by Shack
May 10 2026

This album is easily forgettable.

Green by R.E.M.
May 12 2026

This album starts off slow, the first three tracks do not have drums. I definitely prefer the tracks with drums. This album seems to meander a bit, lacks a little focus. To me this is a collection of songs as opposed to a cohesive album.

Teenage Head by Flamin' Groovies
May 13 2026

Meh. This album is very meh.

May 14 2026

Every Motorhead song sounds the same to me. I have never loved them. This live album has put them.in a new light for me. The live energy is contagious and I get them a little bit more after listening to this. I bet being there live was electric.

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
May 15 2026

This is not for me.

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
May 17 2026

Albums like this are why prince is such a legend.

May 19 2026

ABBA is great!

More Specials by The Specials
May 20 2026

This album is a little to out there. Not something that I enjoyed.

A Walk Across The Rooftops by The Blue Nile

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
May 23 2026

Iggy has so much swagger.

Bossanova by Pixies
May 26 2026

The pixies are way cooler than I thought. I only knew "where is my mind" before listening to this album. This album is exactly why I started this journey, excellent album.

Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney
May 27 2026

As a teen I am sure this album would have spoken to me, but I my 40s this sounds lame. The lyrics are where this really falls apart.

Elvis Is Back by Elvis Presley
May 28 2026

As far as Elvis goes this album falls flat.

Night Life by Ray Price
May 29 2026

This album was ok.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
May 30 2026

Funky goodness.

In Our Heads by Hot Chip
May 31 2026

It's probably due to the fact that I had a run of 5 or so albums from the 50's/60's right before this one, but ai enjoyed this album more than I should have. It sounds fresh and fun.

A Northern Soul by The Verve
Jun 01 2026

So bland and average. The whole thing just sort of blobs together.

Jun 03 2026

I admire the ambition of this album. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. No track in particular stuck out to me, they all sound the same.i could have done with a lot less jug.

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Jun 04 2026

This album still holds up 30 years later. The sound in unmistakable and unique. Love the energy and the vibe of this album.

I throughly enjoyed this. Great instrumentation and rhythm. The bass playing definitely stood out to me.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Jun 06 2026

I amvery happy I listened to this. There were some great textures and interesting tones. With that said I would never be in the mood to listen to this album. It never really takes off and makes me feel a little uneasy. This album was just ok.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jun 07 2026

This is a perfect album. Nothing more to say.

This album has a swagger and a vibe that is one part fresh and one part bland.this album was just ok. No particular track or momentum stood out.

Jun 10 2026

I was looking forward to this album when it came up,that feeling faded fast. Very disappointed in this album. No energy and no emotion. A definite miss for me.

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Jun 11 2026

What did I just listen too? This is a strange album. Interesting, but I will not l8sten again.

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Jun 12 2026

I genuinely like Tom Waits. This album is odd. It sounds like it could fit into the sound track of a toy story movie. This album was just ok. Not his best in my opinion.

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Jun 14 2026

I am sure that after a few listens this album would grow on me. I don't fully understand it now having only listened once.

Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt
Jun 15 2026

I read another review that summed up this album perfectly, " alright, thats enough of that."

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Jun 17 2026

The vocals are to mono tone for my liking. The lyrics are interesting a good way. I enjoyed the music and most aspects of this album, just the vocal range that let me down.

The Score by Fugees
Jun 18 2026

I was very familiar with the hits form this album. Taking the time to listen to the whole album really tied them all together. Some very good tracks on this album, I guess now I know the score.

Rocks by Aerosmith
Jun 21 2026

A classic album from a classic rock band.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jun 23 2026

The other day I was telling my wife that I did not like the black keys. This album just have my pause on that statement. This album really impressed me, maybe I had set the bar to low on my mind? Whatever the reason the result is that I enjoyed this album much more than I thought.

Meat Puppets II by Meat Puppets
Jun 24 2026

This album is touted as a big influence on many early 90s bands and I can see why. This album has a unique sound that must have been mind bending back when it was originally released. Today This album sounds a little tired, I don't think it can be blamed on the band. Just a sign of the times.

The Band by The Band
Jun 25 2026

I have never clicked with this band, and that's ok.

Palo Congo by Sabu
Jun 26 2026

One of many great things about going through this list is that I now have a deeper understanding of world music. My biggest insight is that I don't care for it. I am the problem, this type of music in not for me.

Young Americans by David Bowie
Jun 27 2026

Bowie is a musical genius. Always happy when him albums pop up on this list. This album is a solid album, not my favorite and not his worse.

Third/Sister Lovers by Big Star
Jun 28 2026

Meh, this album seems pretty bland. Not terrible, not remarkable.

Sister by Sonic Youth
Jun 29 2026

Some moments are great and inspirational, other moments are chaotic and confusing. Thats how I describe most songs on this album, the very definition of a 3/5.

Odelay by Beck
Jul 01 2026

This is what you get when you combine a visionary and a master musician. This album has such a unique sound and I am here for it.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Jul 02 2026

This album definitely does not hot the highs of her later work, but there is definitely foreshadowing of the greatness to come.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Jul 03 2026

A bit too long, but definitely some great tracks. Being stuck behind two musical genius' must have been stifling and this seems like a real cathartic album.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes

I don't know how I feel about this album, its ok I guess.

Now I Got Worry by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
Jul 05 2026

The music is intriguing, the vocals step all over it. There are a few redeeming qualities about this album, but overall it falls short.

Fever Ray by Fever Ray
Jul 06 2026

My favorite review of this album, " Donkey Kong Country Core."

1999 by Prince
Jul 07 2026

Prince is a musical genius.

Go Girl Crazy by The Dictators
Jul 08 2026

I do not like this. I don't know why, it sounds like a bad version of Kiss. Very bland.

New Wave by The Auteurs
Jul 09 2026

The music is ok, the singer sounds bored. Lacks any passion or conviction. Very meh album. It does seem to pick up towards the back end. My favorite track being " Early Years."

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Jul 10 2026

Love this album. Oasis is rock royalty for a reason and this album is one of the reasons. Excellent.

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Jul 11 2026

I was trying to think of how to describe this album and I came across this review that perfectly describes it for me. I couldn't say it any better, thank you random reviewer. "70's porno music mixed with a low budget heist film"

Guero by Beck
Jul 14 2026

I like Beck, but was unfamiliar with this album. Whenever I listen to Beck, especially wongs/albums I don't know I have no idea what to expect. This album blew me away. Sounds so uniquely Beck. Deep and introspective . I will definitely be spending more time with this album. I like it.

Another Green World by Brian Eno
Jul 15 2026

This didn't connect with me. I didn't get it and thats ok. I am glad there are musicians out there taking risks. Maybe after a few listens this album would click for me.

Made In Japan by Deep Purple
Jul 17 2026

I don't care dor live albums. Good band, great songs. I just do not enjoy live albums.

Imagine by John Lennon
Jul 21 2026

One classic song and a few mediocre ones. This is not what I was expecting from such a legend.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Jul 24 2026

Good background music. Nothing really stood out to me during my time with this album.

Murmur by R.E.M.
Jul 26 2026

A very solid introduction to a very important band.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jul 27 2026

I have never enjoyed reggae, the guitars have a always bothered me. Love the bass and drums but the vocals and guitars take me out of it. With that said I understand the importance of Bob Marley and how influential this album is. I will give it a 4 out of respect.

Is This It by The Strokes
Jul 28 2026

Strum Strum Strum Strum. I like this!

Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Jul 29 2026

I had never heard of this band before this list. I am glad I know them now. This album was a real treat. The killing moon is the stand out track, but the rest of the album isn't much of a drop off.

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jul 30 2026

This was a fun listen. It's a bitv0f a long listen and the songs all strat sounding very similar.

Isn't Anything by My Bloody Valentine
Jul 31 2026

Thus did not connect with me. It's in-between the sounds of so many bands that I love like Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. Maybe its great but poorly executed? There is something there, just not fully realized.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Aug 01 2026

There is so much going on in the album. I feel like it will take multiple listens to really "get it." So many layers and grooves. I very much enjoyed it.

The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Aug 02 2026

I like the music. The singing was not my thing, it really ruined it for me overall. The singing wasn't terrible, but I found myself wondering how good this album could have been with a different singer.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Aug 03 2026

Wow, this album really impressed me. His voice is beautiful, but the guitar playing is next level. I have always heard people talk about JB in such high regard, starting today I will too.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Aug 04 2026

I have never got into Fiona, listening to this has made me reconsider giving her catalog a deep dive. This was an enjoyable listen, a little repetitive but still interesting enough to keep me engaged.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Aug 05 2026

I was just turned onto this band from the vocalist of Idles. I can here the influence of this band on Idles and I like it. Very bass forward with cool vocals. Nothing to dislike on this one.

Homework by Daft Punk
Aug 06 2026

I really enjoyed the first half of this album. The second half seemed to lose focus and became rather repetitive. It might just be me, or maybe I just got fatigue from listening to this style of music. Either way, I like it.

The Specials by The Specials
Aug 07 2026

Ska is not my thing. Reggae is definitely not my thing. I wish it was As a bass player there is a lot of tasty bass lines to keep me interested, its just everything else going on that I just can't jive with.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Aug 08 2026

I like my sugar with coffee and cream. This is the cream of the crop of rhe Beastie Boys catalog. I love this album.

Aug 09 2026

This album caught me of guard. The brooding vocals with the groovy bass lines is a killer combination.

Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan
Aug 10 2026

I have already forgotten about this album.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Aug 11 2026

Very nice music, but not particularly memorable. Not really my style.
