What a album. A wall of sound. A fantastic debut. Awesome live band too. Sadly diminishing returns of late and Win being a sleaze bag have ruined a once great band.

A classic. A dark synth stunner. An album that has been with me since I was 14 or 15. It's a lifer.
Good little album this.
Lost interest in the YYY's after this album. However, this disc still holds up.

Great album. Holds up really well after 30 years.
❤️🤍
Class.
Riders on the Storm is a beast of a track.
Love this. One of the best live albums.
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Smasher.
All timer.
Nice chilled listen.
Top notch. All timer.
Nice. Very middle of the road. No idea why this album was so hyped up at the time.
The Concept. What a tune!
Some great lines in this.
Special.
I've been converted!
Better than expected.
Great singles band. This album is a slog.
Classic.
Nice. I can see the appeal.
A long 57 minutes. Sounded like one song....
Powerful.
Lovely.
Meh.
Not even much of a Joanna Newsom fan but this is superb!
Fine. First line of the first song is.... “What a drag it is getting old” It’s my birthday today.
Epic.
Fine.
Special.
Best album of the decade....possibly
Lost interest in the YYY's after this album. However, this disc still holds up.
Festering bucket of wank.
A solid cold classic.
What a voice.
Hooray for a hip hop album! This list needs more hip hop.
Smashing.
💕💕💕💕
Underrated.
👽👽👽👽👽👽
A STUNNER.
Fine. The Lovesong cover was surprising good.
Solid.
I kind forgot about DH. This is a fantastic album. Diminishing returns after this long player sadly.
Huge
Gimme Some Truth is a banger.
Had a few moments
Better than I remember!
Good little album this.
Awesome cover art. Solid album. Probably the only SoaD album I haven’t heard before.
Massive BANGER!
Fun.
Solid. Refreshing.
Smashing.
🤘🤘🤘🤘
Okay.
Interesting.
Fine. Killer voice.
Not my go to Wonder album but decent enough.
Glorious and ridiculous everything you need out of a Queen album.
🥷
Wowzers! This is incredibly!
Smokin.
It's okay.
Love The Chip.
Better than expected.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZ the same song played for 1 hour 18 minutes ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Well, this knocked my socks off. How I've managed not to hear this before I have no idea!
Excellent.
A classic. But why, on theUS version, the Farley mix of Come Together? The Weatherall remix is superior! Excellent cover art too
What a voice. A record that should be in every collection.
The grungiest of grunge. Where Alice in Chains got their ideas from? What a voice, which only got better with age.
A stone cold classic.
Smooth. Late night whiskey drinking music.
…Baby One More Time is a fine pop song and is the highlight of the album. It’s downhill from there…. Soda Pop is criminal and how do you make a cover of The Beat Goes On so bad. Utter bobbins.
Very solid album. Holds up well. Very listenable. Some great MCs
Great album. Holds up really well after 30 years.
My first time knowingly listening to a VH album. Sounds like someone wanted to be Black Sabbath and ended up inventing Hair Metal I bet every 16 year old boy loved them. The RHCP of their day. FUN but that Kinks cover and the Ice Cream song can do one.
Hard. Needed a few listens to work through the layers.
Some great tracks here. Feels like it could be split up into 3 different albums. Heroes is a excellent whopper of track but makes the album feel unbalanced. Particularly along side the second half of the album.
The BBs ticking all the boxes. Tight little album.
Ugh, my first RA album back in the day. It's fine but he's a awful turd. 💩 out of 5
What a album. A wall of sound. A fantastic debut. Awesome live band too. Sadly diminishing returns of late and Win being a sleaze bag have ruined a once great band.
A classic. A dark synth stunner. An album that has been with me since I was 14 or 15. It's a lifer.
Smoooth. Very listenable. 70 years later it holds up incredibly well.
Slick debut album but…. too much going on. Lots of bells and whistles, possibly too many. Tightrope is a massive ear worm. A very talented musician/show person. On my “must see live” list.
UK VERSION - Fine. First line of the first song is....“What a drag it is getting old” It’s my birthday today. 3/5 US VERSION - Bumped up a star for Paint it Black. 4/5
More like Solid Gold.... One of the best.
My favorite TH album at the moment. Peak TH IMO
Fun Rock'n Roll album. You only need one Elvis album in your life and it’s this one. One point for the cover which is a classic.
Weak sauce here. Weird choice for the list. Definitely better electronic albums out there. One good song Hey You... even that sounds tired after 27 years. Bonus point for having Nik Kershaw on a track.
🤘🤘🤘🤘 Repeat Play 4/1/2026
2.5 rounded up to a 3 for the big singles.
A stone cold classic. My number one top album of all time.
Fine. I prefer less rawk in my prog.
Excellent choice for Easter Sunday 🤘🤘🤘 Fun.
I was expecting to dislike this. Judging the cover I thought I was going to get bloated Vegas Elvis. Turns out this is an enjoyable country soul album. Two classic tunes in The Ghetto & Suspicious MInds push the final score from 2.5. to a 3.
Pretty much part of me at this stage. I know this album too well!
Good solid album.
This is very English! All over the place. Horrible 80's production. Yet I can hear so many bands that took inspiration from this sound. Field Music, Jellyfish, The Decemberists and Ben Folds Five for example.
Lovely.
Perfection. Gets better with age.
A claustrophobic, intense album. I've grown to love this album over the years. Definitely not a album I need to listen to all the time but I appreciate it a little bit more every time. My intro to John Prine too even though I didn’t realize that at the time.
The indie/alt Beatles/Stones. A fun listen. Very English.
What a voice but a album over 3 hours long. It's a test. Minus one point for the length.
It’s fine. I liked this more than I was expecting to given my previous attempts with BPB. I could see myself coming around to this album more in future. I just to be in the right mood. ☹️ 2.5 rounded up to 3 for the cover art.
A subtle lowkey classic.
Oh man! Haven't listen to this in an age. It slaps!
Some good tunes but as a whole album I feel like it's missing something.
What a banging album! Peace Frog is a choon!
More of my musical DNA. This album feels part of me at this stage. On my all timer list. Fools Gold? more like solid gold!
When Kate Bush comes in on Don't Give Up...thats a moment. The 80's production polish is a little off putting. 4 huge songs on this help lift it up to a 3
Fine. She has a great voice but I only need to hear once in a while. A whole album is a stretch.
Okay. That trolley song though....
Solid gold 5 out of 5.
Terrible.
3.75
Bonus point for having Neneh Cherry on a song.
2.75
Great.
Solid rapping. Great vocals. 3.5
Bit of a struggle to get through. 2.5.
Fine. I love a bit of The Fall. This album had its highlights but sadly sagged in the middle. Over long too. 3.1
Awful. The sound of a pub covers band.
A classic.Shame KW is a massive turd.
Fun.
What a voice, a classic.
Decent. Has a couple of tunes. Edwin Collins is underrated!
One good song. Disappointing.
Excellent! Very enjoyable.
Solid album. CL is such a brilliant front person.
A polite 2/5
Ridiculously powerful vocals. Definitely an album I haven’t spent much time with, which is a shocking thing to say considering I have it on vinyl somewhere. This is going into the listen again pile!
What an opening 4 songs! Shame about the cod reggae song. Good listen overall.
Solid album, brings back a lot of memories.
3 massive songs here! 80s tastic but sounds fresh. Enjoyed this.
Don’t know this album very well. A blind spot in my John Martyn knowledge and collection. It’s a cracker! Small Hours is a top song.
This album started all of metal didn’t it?! Seriously good from start to finish. 4.5
Not bad. I think I would still reach for Daft Punk before this to scratch my French electronic music itch.
I've been converted! Repeat Play: 8/7/2026
This album passed me by at the time. It's alright, didn’t hate it. I recognized a couple of the songs. 2.75
Far too much easy listening jazz for my taste. I prefer folky Joni. 1.65 rounded up to 2
A fun album.
It’s a work of genius! Everything I need out of a prog album.
Completely washed over me. A polite 1.75
A classic.
Good tight album this. NC is sounding timeless.
Solid album. 3.75 out of 5
What a album! This record feels like it's part of me. Never gets old. Memories of jumping around to these tracks at the local indie disco. Superb spots from Q-Tip and Biz Markie too. Solid gold 5 out of 5
This list doesn’t need 5 albums by The Who does it. This is fine but no need for a repeat listen. 2
A fine, fun listen. Important to a lot of people. Me, I can take it or leave it. I need a listen every few years and that works for me. Excellent cover art btw, one of the best.
