Wasn’t a fan of this one. Kinda cheesy.

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Dec 25 2025

Objectively very good, and I enjoyed listening to it. I used to love old blues like this, and I once saw BB live. Just not sure it really scratches that itch for me these days.

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Dec 28 2025

I was never into the NuMetal thing, so I was surprised that I didn’t hate this, but it’s not really for me.

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Dec 29 2025

I don’t listen to much hip hop, but I really enjoy this album.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Dec 30 2025

Not super into this one. I liked the music/beats a lot better than the vocals.

Roots by Sepultura
Jan 02 2026

I enjoyed this. I had never heard of this band before, and I’m not much of a metalhead, but I was definitely animated by this album. I don’t see myself listening to it regularly, but it would be great at the gym.

Document by R.E.M.
Jan 03 2026

One of my all time favorites.

Vespertine by Björk
Jan 04 2026

Reminds me of college.

With The Beatles by Beatles
Jan 05 2026

Not my favorite Beatles album, but there are not bad Beatles albums.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jan 06 2026

Very good album. I like the Black Keys, but haven’t heard too much of their discography. Glad I listened to this one.

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Jan 07 2026

I wasn’t super into this one. Some good vocals, but a lot of it was just repetitive beats over weird recordings.

Tommy by The Who
Jan 08 2026

An all time classic.

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Jan 09 2026

A few really great songs, but inconsistent.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Jan 12 2026

Not a no-skip album, but still damn good.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Jan 13 2026

I’ve loved this album since it was brand new. It’s probably getting an extra star for nostalgia reasons, but I don’t care.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jan 14 2026

I’m trying to keep an open mind to genres I don’t normally listen to, but I just can’t get into this. That said, I didn’t hate it, and some songs had me tapping my foot.

Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
Jan 15 2026

I enjoyed some of this, but it dragged at parts.

Liege And Lief by Fairport Convention
Jan 16 2026

Abraxas by Santana
Jan 17 2026

Beautiful guitar, great rhythms.

Vanishing Point by Primal Scream
Jan 18 2026

This was hard to get through. A lot of it felt like the background music to a hacker scene in a cheesy action movie.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Jan 30 2026

Not my favorite Radiohead album, but I do love it.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Jan 31 2026

On the one hand, it’s generic 70s power rock, but on the other hand, it does that well.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Feb 01 2026

I like this band, but I don’t know about this album.

Slayed? by Slade

Fun 80s pop

Not a no skip, but some amazing songs.

Easy 5/5

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Feb 22 2026

Another amazing album and all-time favorite.

I have negative associations with this generation of pop music, so I expected to hate it. I didn’t like it, but I think it is more generic than bad.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Feb 24 2026

There are many good songs on this album. But there are so many “meh” songs too. There are just a lot of songs. Probably could split it into a 5/5 album and a 3/5 album.

I never really listened to much by Springsteen before. I really like some of the songs on this, but overall the album is just okay.

Fever To Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Mar 04 2026

Great album, good nostalgia.

All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot
Mar 06 2026

I liked this better than I thought I would. I still found the combination of heavy metal with sort of Nickelback sounding rock a little jarring. It was best when the stuck to fast drums and guitar with growls.

Gold by Ryan Adams
Mar 08 2026

I wasn’t really feeling this. Kind of generic sounding.

Mar 09 2026

A classic for sure, but most of this album is just weird background music.

Mar 10 2026

Not my favorite Talking Heads album, but I love it. Great band, and Psycho Killer is one of my favorite songs.

Mar 11 2026

Violator by Depeche Mode
Mar 12 2026

A lot of synth for my taste, but it was fine.

Life's Too Good by The Sugarcubes
Mar 13 2026

I do like this better than most of Bjork’s solo stuff, but I don’t think that moves the needle too much.

Mar 14 2026

A couple great songs, but very dark and a little too dissonant at times.

Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock
Mar 15 2026

The music is bad. The lyrics are worse. Why is this on this list?

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Mar 16 2026

A really great album. Not perfect, but up there.

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Mar 17 2026

I mean, it’s good, but it seems like it would be best enjoyed in a specific context, and my wife is out of town this week.

Ranges from pretty cool to kinda weird. Not bad. (Unavailable for normal streaming though — had to find it on YouTube).

Murmur by R.E.M.
Mar 19 2026

R.E.M. is one of my favorite bands, and Radio Free Europe is my favorite song by them. That said, this is not my favorite album of theirs — the other songs just aren’t quite as strong in my opinion. Still a great listen all the way through.

Brutal Youth by Elvis Costello
Mar 20 2026

Not bad. Definitely like his earlier stuff better.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Mar 21 2026

Damn near perfect album.

Mar 22 2026

Every song on this album is fantastic or ridiculous. There is no in between.

Mar 23 2026

Never would have come across this without this site. Not my favorite, but not too bad.

Good nostalgia, but just okay otherwise.

Is This It by The Strokes

Bad Company by Bad Company
Mar 30 2026

Not bad, but nothing special.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Mar 31 2026

I know a lot of people who love The Band. I just can’t get into them. I’d say they are just okay at best.

Bongo Rock by Incredible Bongo Band
Apr 01 2026

There is absolutely good percussion here, but the music was so cheesy I wondered if this was a joke.

Moondance by Van Morrison
Apr 02 2026

Some good songs on here. Overall doesn’t really scratch that itch for me though, but it is good.

E.V.O.L. by Sonic Youth
Apr 03 2026

I enjoy Sonic Youth, but this is not my favorite of theirs.

Apr 04 2026

I’ve loved this album a long time. This one may be getting a nostalgia boost, but who cares.

Kinda groovy.

Dust by Screaming Trees
Apr 08 2026

Screaming Trees are an underrated 90s band.

Apr 09 2026

I’ve only really listened to this band in passing before. But I really enjoyed this album!

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 10 2026

I get the appeal, and I really enjoyed some of these songs. But overall, it’s just okay to me.

Woodface by Crowded House
Apr 12 2026

I’ve never heard of this band before. I guess they’re okay. Nothing special to me.

Apr 13 2026

It was only a matter of time before this thing fed me a country record. I tried to listen with an open mind. Still didn’t like it, but not the worst thing this site had me listen to.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Apr 14 2026

Sympathy for the Devil is one of the greatest songs ever written. There are a couple other gems on here, but a fair share of skips, too.

Call of the Valley by Shivkumar Sharma
Apr 15 2026

Not something I would ever think to listen to normally. It’s not bad.

The Slider by T. Rex
Apr 16 2026

Never heard this one before. It was okay.

Heroes to Zeros by The Beta Band
Apr 19 2026

Kinda mediocre. Almost went 2/5.

New Forms by Roni Size
Apr 20 2026

I tried, but I couldn’t get into this.

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Apr 21 2026

I am a fan of the Velvet Underground, and I mostly like this album, but it’s really not their strongest in my opinion.

Songs From A Room by Leonard Cohen

Apr 23 2026

An amazing album.

Apr 25 2026

Lots of classics on this one.

A Northern Soul by The Verve

m b v by My Bloody Valentine

I like this band. This album was good but not their best.

Quiet Life by Japan
Apr 29 2026

May 04 2026

I fell behind on the list because it took me so long to get through this one.

May 05 2026

I hadn’t listened to this one before, but it’s exactly what I thought Leonard Cohen’s death would sound like.

May 06 2026

Nick Cave is one of those artists I’ve always meant to check out but never really have. I enjoyed this a lot.

May 11 2026

Cool combination of blues and “world” music. Not my favorite thing ever, but enjoyable.

I had never heard this before, but it was great! I am giving it 4/5, but I almost went 5/5 based on the drum solo track alone.

Repeater by Fugazi
May 14 2026

It’s a good album.

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

I love Lou Reed, but this is a weaker album.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean

Can I separate the art from the artist? Well, I didn’t like the art very much. But not as much as I dislike the artist.

Elastica by Elastica

I had never listened to them before, and I’m glad I did.

Not really for me. I expected to dislike it, but it was fine.

Bossanova by Pixies
May 30 2026

Not my favorite Pixies, but it’s still very good.

Wild Gift by X
May 31 2026

Where has this been all my life? I mean, I guess it’s been around — it came out six months before I was born. But I hadn’t heard it before. I’m glad I listened.

Close To You by Carpenters

Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jun 05 2026

Dark and moody but also kind of boring.

I just didn’t find this appealing at all. I wasn’t a fan of what I heard when this was new, and listening to the whole thing 30 years later was actually worse than I expected.

It’s okay.

Buena Vista Social Club by Buena Vista Social Club

Jul 16 2026

I’m had somehow never heard this before. Not a perfect album, but I really liked it.

...And Justice For All by Metallica

Not bad, but kinda bland.

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Jul 24 2026

Weird but in a way I like.

Jul 28 2026

I avoided this when it was new. It wasn’t a genre I enjoyed, and young me didn’t get along with the people I knew who listened to it. But I gave it an honest chance for this project. There is definitely some creativity here that is worth praising. But it was hard to listen to. I get that it is intentionally offensive — he seems to be making a point with that. But sometimes it like he leans into that just so he can say hateful and gross things. Maybe I’m wrong and there’s more to it than that, but at the end of the day I just didn’t like listening to it.

Harvest by Neil Young
Jul 30 2026

Listened to this on vinyl! A good one.
