Stan Getz
5/5
I don't know much about jazz music but I do know that this is the exact kind that I like.

Pink Floyd
5/5
One of my all time favorite albums.
It's an album that explores complex themes like mental illness, mortality, and human existence. The seamless transitions between tracks, enhanced by the band's use of synthesizers, sound effects, and philosophical lyrics, create a rich, atmospheric soundscape. Songs like "Time," "Money," and "Us and Them" showcase the band's lyrical depth and musical experimentation. It's both introspective and universally relatable, with Roger Waters' poignant lyrics and David Gilmour's soaring guitar work standing out. A timeless classic, the album remains a pinnacle of progressive rock and a cultural landmark.

The National
2/5
Maybe you need to be in a certain mood to enjoy this.
I just found out very depressing and not especially interesting.

Yes
3/5
The album kinda sucks you in, starting with an amazing track in Roundabout.
The rest doesn't quite hit the same and sometimes feels a little experimental.
I still really enjoyed it, but they kind show their entire hand in the first track.

Steely Dan
5/5
Really enjoyed this album, it was so groovy and smooth.
The melodic and harmonic complexity is incredible.
Standouts for me are Peg and I Got The News.
Hugh Masekela
3/5
It's like background music you can't help but pay attention to. It makes good background while working from home.
I found that the more I listened to it, the more I enjoyed it.
Every track is so different, it's hard to pick a favorite.
Franz Ferdinand
3/5
Kind of your standard indie rock album. I enjoyed listening to most of it.
High points for me were Take Me Out, Matinée and This Fire.
The Smiths
3/5
Decent album.
Really liked Morrissey's vocals and some of the bass work was great.
Soundgarden
5/5
Front to back just a great 90s rock album, I loved it.
The Day I Tried To Live is my favorite by far.
RIP Chris Cornell.
Stevie Wonder
2/5
You obviously can't deny the talent. The fact that this is his 18th album is pretty unbelievable.
Having said that, while I enjoyed some of it, most of it just wasn't for me.
Favorite tracks, Sir Duke and Isn't She Lovely.
Led Zeppelin
5/5
Albums like this make me regret any other 5s I've given.
Led Zeppelin is just on another level.
All killer, no filler.
LTJ Bukem
5/5
Pure 90s dnb. Plug this straight into my veins.
It somehow feels nostalgic even though it's brand new to me.
A little unexpected to have a compilation album in this, but in the end I don't care because it's right up my alley.
Cocteau Twins
3/5
Love the vibes of this album, it creates such a dreamlike atmosphere.
It feels very 80s.
I have no idea what they're saying most of the time, but it sounds cool regardless.
Aerosmith
2/5
It's one of those albums where I feel like I should like it, but I didn't.
This album just didn't do it for me.
Fleetwood Mac
4/5
Great album, it was very different from the only other album of theirs that I know, Rumours.
Standout tracks for me were Think About Me and Angel.
Nick Drake
3/5
It's never heard of Nick Drake before this album came up.
I enjoyed it, very chill and minimal.
Just a man and his guitar.
Stevie Wonder
3/5
Pretty good album.
I don't know if it's one I will return to, but I enjoyed listening to most of it.
I like it more than Songs In The Key Of Life.
In a weird way, I wish I liked Stevie Wonder's music more than I do.
Aphex Twin
4/5
Really great background music while doing something else like working or choking.
The Associates
3/5
Very 80s, synthy and whiny.
I think I like it... Time will tell if I like it enough to listen to it again in the future (I probably won't).
Lou Reed
3/5
I like it, but I can't tell if this album is really cool, or incredibly boring.
I think it's his voice.
Joan Armatrading
2/5
Great voice, sort of a mellow folky style of music, but in the end just not really for me.
I would give it a 2.5 if I could.
The Mothers Of Invention
3/5
This album is so unhinged and I'm fully on board.
It's so weird, experimental and full of nonsense.
Count Basie & His Orchestra
5/5
I've never listened to big band music before, but I will be going forward.
This was a really fun album.
3/5
Pretty fun, it feels ahead of it's time.
This is what all live albums should aim for, I love the energy.
Television
3/5
Kind of meh on my first playthrough.
After a second listen, I really started to enjoy it.
It really doesn't sound like a 70s album, more late 90s/early 00s.
The Smashing Pumpkins
4/5
A classic 90s alt rock album. Favorites were Today, Quiet and Disarm.
The Cult
3/5
Pretty good British pub rock album. Doesn't take itself too seriously.
David Bowie
2/5
This was pretty meh, I can't say I'm a fan of this Bowie era.
Otis Redding
5/5
So much soul and emotion, really liked this one.
Easy 5
Arcade Fire
1/5
Not my thing at all, it all sounds the same. Boring and generic sounding.
OutKast
5/5
Stone cold classic hip-hop album. Feels way ahead of it's time.
Steve Winwood
2/5
Strong opening track, the rest is kinda blah.
Bad Company
4/5
Really good album from beginning to end. Just a great 70s rock album.
George Jones
2/5
It's ok. I'm not much of a country music lover, but if I had to listen to it, this is the kind I'd go for.
I'd give it 2.5 if I could.
B.B. King
4/5
Never considered myself much of a blues fan, bit this was a great album. Really liked the crowd sounds/interaction.
Ramones
4/5
It kind of all sounds the same, but I don't really care. Great album.
Air
3/5
I enjoyed this, though I've never seen the movie.
Gives chill and mysterious vibes.
Lana Del Rey
1/5
Every song sounds the same. Very boring and bland.
Marianne Faithfull
3/5
Didn't necessarily dislike it, but not something I see myself coming back to.
R.E.M.
4/5
Really enjoyed this album. Obvious standouts are Stand and Orange Crush.
Taylor Swift
3/5
Pretty good album. I think I get the whole Taylor Swift thing.
I probably wouldn't revisit it, it's just not really for me.
Elliott Smith
4/5
Really good album, I'll definitely be checking out more of his stuff.
Fred Neil
4/5
Could've listened to another 8 minutes of Cynicrustpetefredjohn Raga
Stereo MC's
3/5
I enjoyed this album. Feels VERY 90s.
The title track is easily the best on the album.
R.E.M.
4/5
I've always enjoyed REM when I've heard them but until recently hadn't listened to any of their albums back to front.
So far I've heard this one and Green.
I prefer this one without question.
Definitely gonna save this one to revisit later.
Radiohead
5/5
I can definitely see why this wouldn't be for everyone. It can have a very depressing feeling to it. This is probably why I listened to it most as a teenager and young adult.
I still really enjoy it, but don't find myself going back to it much.
Depeche Mode
3/5
I usually really enjoy 80s synthy, brooding stuff, but this one just didn't quite hit the mark. Not terrible though.
Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
3/5
I wouldn't say this is a bad album necessarily, but it's nothing special, not entirely sure why it's on this list.
Taylor Swift
1/5
I can see why people like Taylor Swift but it's just not for me at all.
The Go-Go's
4/5
Really enjoyed this one. Fun and upbeat. The 2 singles are stellar.
Supertramp
5/5
Really enjoyed this one. It's so 70s.
I enjoyed every second of it.
The Black Keys
2/5
Meh, it's ok
It kinda feels like blues for people who don't like blues music; pop blues.
Orange Juice
4/5
Enjoyed this one more than expected.
Love the synths and sax solos.
It feels weirdly familiar and comfortable.
Big Star
3/5
I enjoyed the first half more than the second. Overall pretty enjoyable.
The Cure
5/5
I'm shamelessly copying this review from somebody else because they just put it so well. The album sustains an atmosphere that is gloomy, yet thoroughly gorgeous. It somehow manages to feel both claustrophobic and seductive.
Really remarkable album.
OutKast
4/5
I definitely enjoyed Speakerboxxx more. I kinda wish they'd been released separately.
Guided By Voices
3/5
I don't really know if I liked this or not. The songs were so short I couldn't really get into them, but overall I liked their sound.
TV On The Radio
1/5
I went in with no expectations and was still let down.
This is bad, just straight up boring.
Fats Domino
5/5
A little odd to have a compilation album on this list, but I didn't really care in the end. This was such a joy to listen to.
Led Zeppelin
5/5
I've always found that my favorite Zeppelin album is the one I'm currently listening to/listened to most recently.
5/5
I had heard of The Kinks, but never listened to them.
Really enjoyed this, it has social commentary but feels very uplifting.
Stand out track for me was Victoria.
John Lee Hooker
3/5
Good album, but I can't help but feel like it would have been better with fewer features.
Siouxsie And The Banshees
5/5
This album rocks. Lived the instrumentals and the general vibe of the album.
The National
2/5
Maybe you need to be in a certain mood to enjoy this.
I just found out very depressing and not especially interesting.
Pretenders
4/5
Really enjoyed this one, verging on a 5, but it didn't really blow me away.
A solid 80s rock album.
Bruce Springsteen
2/5
Not for me. It's like rock for people who don't like rock.
I only gave it a 2 because Born to Run is a great song.
Madness
3/5
It was alright. I liked their sound. Our House is the obvious highlight.
M.I.A.
2/5
It's kind of all over the place, very chaotic.
The production is pretty unique.
I can't see myself listening to this ever again, so I guess I didn't really care for it.
Peter Tosh
4/5
I love it, such a vibe.
Maybe not an everyday listen, but under the right circumstances...
Favorite track is Ketchy Shuby.
Common
5/5
A masterful blend of soulful production and introspective lyricism, showcasing the rapper at his best. Kanye absolutely nailed the production; rich, soulful samples that perfectly compliment Common's verses.
Led Zeppelin
4/5
Not my favorite Zeppelin album but still great. The first half is definitely stronger.
Sam Cooke
5/5
Just an unbelievable live album. I love all of his ad-libing.
If only this had been filmed.
The Mothers Of Invention
4/5
This was weird.
It's both hard and not hard to believe this was made in the 60s.
I ended up feeling confused after listening to it, maybe that's the point?
I have no idea, but I dig it...I think
The Police
2/5
I've never been a huge Police fan. I like their hits but the rest are kinda meh.
Metallica
3/5
I'm not really a Metallica fan, but I enjoyed this album.
The singles are the standout tracks, I also enjoyed Sad but True.
Rage Against The Machine
5/5
This album fucking rocks.
Jean-Michel Jarre
4/5
I'd been meaning to listen to this for a while and completely forgot about it.
I'm in to it.
David Bowie
5/5
Loved every second of it.
Marvin Gaye
2/5
Easy listing, but just not for me.
Aretha Franklin
4/5
Beautiful album. So soulful, I could really feel everything.
Judas Priest
4/5
Great rock album.
Starting feeling a little repetitive/samey after a while but I still enjoyed it.
The Incredible String Band
2/5
This is such a strange album. It sounds like complete nonsense most of the time.
I think I'd need to take A LOT of drugs to enjoy this.
I didn't completely hate it but I can't imagine a scenario which I would listen to it again.
3/5
I'd never heard of X until now.
Nothing spectacular but pretty enjoyable.
The Youngbloods
3/5
Another group I'd never heard of before.
Nothing super standout, but overall very enjoyable, great background music.
The Rolling Stones
3/5
The singles are excellent, the rest are kinda meh.
Crosby, Stills & Nash
5/5
Absolute loved every second of this. I want to live in this album.
Helplessly Hoping is such a beautiful song.
Throwing Muses
3/5
This was good. Not necessarily good enough for me to seek out more of their work though.
Jungle Brothers
5/5
Really dug this album. It transported me to 90s New York.
The Offspring
3/5
I'm kinda conflicted on this one, I enjoyed it and really loved the energy but I just don't see myself listening to it again.
I think I enjoyed the nostalgia it gave me more than the actual music.
Creedence Clearwater Revival
5/5
Really loved this album all the way through.
It somehow makes me feel nostalgic even though I wasn't born for nearly 20 years after this came out.
It just feels familiar and comfortable.
Buena Vista Social Club
3/5
I felt like I was chilling on a secluded beach in Cuba.
I don't know how often I'll come back to the album but I've saved it.
Beth Orton
3/5
Beautiful voice.
At points it feels quite emotionally charged and at others, feels pretty peaceful and contemplative.
The album was a little long for my liking.
New Order
3/5
Questionable vocals and simple lyrics, often mundane subject matter, great production.
Faust
3/5
So, krautrock is kinda weird, but I kinda liked it.
My favorite track was Jennifer.
Fleetwood Mac
5/5
One of those rare perfect albums. I wish there was a rating above 5.
Yes
3/5
The album kinda sucks you in, starting with an amazing track in Roundabout.
The rest doesn't quite hit the same and sometimes feels a little experimental.
I still really enjoyed it, but they kind show their entire hand in the first track.
4/5
The only Blur song I had heard prior to this was Song 2.
I went into this album not expecting a whole lot and was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed it.
Overall, a solid 90s Brit-pop-rock album.
My favorite track was Miss America.
Arcade Fire
1/5
Boring and generic, no real substance.
Bill Callahan
1/5
For some inexplicable reason I really wanted to like this but I just didn't.
Very boring, must be an acquired taste.
Cyndi Lauper
5/5
Loved it, 80s pop perfection.
Pink Floyd
Suede
3/5
This was ok. I didn't love it nor did I hate it.
Pretty easy listening for the most part.
a-ha
2/5
I thought the album was....ok.
It was all downhill after the first track.
The Isley Brothers
5/5
Really loved this.
Hearing the originals of so many songs I recognize was really cool.
Electric Light Orchestra
4/5
Kinda feels like a cross between Pink Floyd and Queen.
I really enjoyed it.
My only criticism is that it's a little too long.
Buddy Holly & The Crickets
3/5
I liked it, but I really can't see myself listening to it outside of this.
Kendrick Lamar
5/5
One of the greatest "modern" rap albums.
It's a powerful narrative album that blends personal stories with social commentary.
Scritti Politti
2/5
Every song sounds like the last. Not bad per se, but doesn't really belong on this list.
Ms. Dynamite
2/5
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it's ok I guess.
AC/DC
2/5
It's ok, kinda samey all the way through
Harry Nilsson
4/5
I really enjoyed this album.
I'd never heard of Harry Nilsson, but I definitely recognized a few of the songs.
The Smiths
3/5
I didn't love it, but I also didn't hate it as much as some people.
I get that he sounds the same and kinda whiney throughout, but I still kinda dug it.
Korn
2/5
Some pretty questionable lyrics, but it hits the nostalgia chord so 2 stars it is.
Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
1/5
Wow, this is so bad. Couldn't get through the whole thing.
Ray Charles
5/5
Really enjoyed this.
From the big band sounds to Ray Charles' incredible voice. So good
Meat Loaf
3/5
Very over the top and cheesy, in a good way.
I got a little tired of it by the end, but overall I enjoyed it.
White Denim
5/5
Wow, this was really good.
Vibes for days.
I can't wait to dig in to their other albums.
Prince
5/5
Wow, this was flippin awesome.
I knew some of Prince's hits but never listened to a full album.
I'm left wondering what I've been doing with my life.
The Prodigy
5/5
I still remember hearing Breathe for the first time as a naive 10yr old thanks to Big Shiny Tunes 2. It blew my mind.
I wish I could say I've been a die hard Prodigy fan ever since but I never really followed up after being consumed by that track. Mostly due to difficulty accessing and buying music at that age.
This album goes so hard and will definitely be added to the rotation.
Bob Marley & The Wailers
3/5
Pretty mellow album, but I just don't ever find myself in the mood to listen to reggae music.
Enjoyable overall but not an everyday listen for me.
Wu-Tang Clan
5/5
I grew up on the album, it's a top 5 best hip-hop albums of all time.
Wu-Tang is forever.
Sheryl Crow
2/5
Not really my jam, but I enjoyed it more than I expected to.
The Doors
5/5
Really love the blend of blues and psychedelic rock. This is right up my alley.
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
1/5
For some reason I had it in my head that I liked Elvis Costello.
This album was a reality check.
I did not like this album.
You know how some people have a really punchable face? That's how I feel about his voice.
Derek & The Dominos
2/5
If I separate the man from the music, the album is ok. A little self-indulgent at times.
Layla is the obvious standout.
Eric Clapton is kind of a piece of shit.
ABBA
5/5
A true pop masterpiece.
Just what the doctor ordered for a Monday morning.
The Teardrop Explodes
3/5
I liked it, but I'm a sucker for 80s new wave.
Stephen Stills
2/5
I didn't necessary dislike it, but it was a little boring.
Stan Getz
5/5
I don't know much about jazz music but I do know that this is the exact kind that I like.
Siouxsie And The Banshees
4/5
It's messy, exciting and a little spooky.
She has such a great voice.
Female lead rock bands rule, I just wish there were more on this list.
Johnny Cash
5/5
Wow, what an album.
Easily one of the best live albums I've ever heard.
I love all the crowd noise and Johnny's banter with them.
The Chemical Brothers
3/5
I think up until now I've only really heard their newer stuff, so this didn't sound how I expected it to.
Having said that I still enjoyed it.
John Lennon
2/5
Meh, this was ok.
A couple good songs but the rest just had me wishing I was listening to The Beatles.
Jack White
3/5
It was an ok album, I didn't find it to be anything really special.
To my untrained ear, it just sounded like The White Stripes.
David Bowie
4/5
Really liked this.
Not my favorite album of his, but still really good.
Favorite track was Cracked Actor, loved the opening chord.
Alice In Chains
4/5
Yes! More if this please.
Loved every second of it, 90s grunge fucking rocks.
Pixies
3/5
This album is strange, but in a good way.
Where is my mind is probably the most "normal" song, the rest are pretty unhinged at times.
Bob Dylan
3/5
Too much harmonica.
Maybe it would be better on speakers instead of earbuds.
Bob Dylan
3/5
2 Dylan albums is a bit much, as it turns out there is such a thing as too much Dylan.
Having said that, I enjoyed this album more than Blonde On Blonde, but not by much.
Bob Dylan is better in small doses, one song at a time; listening to an entire album is tiring.
De La Soul
5/5
Such a fun album. You can tell they had fun making this one.
I love the comparison of this album to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Best hip-hop album in this list so far.
Nina Simone
4/5
Wild Is the Wind by Nina Simone is raw, soulful, and haunting. Her voice draws you in, making each song feel deeply personal and unforgettable.
Madonna
2/5
It's different from her usual stuff, with a vibe that's kind of reflective.
I prefer her earlier work.
Not necessarily a factor in my review or rating, but Ray of Light made me nostalgic for Windows XP.
Iron Maiden
3/5
A heavy metal classic with iconic riffs, intense vocals, and a few memorable tracks.
Not really the kind of music I see myself listening to on any regular basis.
George Harrison
4/5
At first, All Things Must Pass feels a bit intimidating with a length of 2hrs, but once I settled in, it was a ride I didn't want to end. The mellow, introspective vibe flows through each track, revealing layers of George Harrison’s creativity and depth.
It's a beautifully immersive experience, and by the end, I was left wanting even more of that soulful, meditative sound.
The Mamas & The Papas
2/5
The album has its moments, but it doesn’t quite live up to its iconic reputation. While "Monday, Monday" and "California Dreamin’" are undeniably catchy, much of the album feels repetitive and lacks the same spark. It’s fine as a piece of 60s nostalgia, but it doesn’t hold up as a must-listen today.
Aretha Franklin
4/5
Wow, I don't even know what to say.
I didn't expect to like this as much as I did.
Great album.
Leonard Cohen
3/5
It was pretty good.
Feels more like poetry with a musical backing... Which I guess can be said about a lot of music ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
I found it strangely hypnotic at times.
The The
2/5
It was ok....Not great but not terrible.
Le Tigre
3/5
This is weird wild stuff, I kinda dig it.
It somehow feels before and ahead of its time.
Linkin Park
4/5
This album goes so hard.
I remember blasting this in my room as an angsty teen.
RIP Chester.
Nick Drake
4/5
This list has taught me that I like Nick Drake. Super chill, mellow easy listening.
Miles Davis
4/5
I really enjoyed this.
I know next to nothing about jazz but this was great.
Initially I was intimidated with in being 38 minutes with only 2 tracks, but it flew by and I enjoyed every second if it.
Gene Clark
2/5
Dollar store Bob Dylan.
Not necessarily bad, just kinda boring.
Adele
3/5
Her voice is undeniably amazing.
It's also really impressive to come out with an album like this at such a young age.
With that said, this kind of music just isn't for me.
Jeff Buckley
3/5
This album was ok, didn't really blow me away, but I guess I kind of enjoyed it.
Air
3/5
It created a pretty chill/dreamy atmosphere but felt a little repetitive at times.
Decent background music but not an everyday listen for me.
Don McLean
3/5
It was alright.
America Pie is kinda played out but I appreciate the lightning in a bottle he captured with it.
The rest of the album is decent, he has a wonderful voice and the composition is pretty good throughout.
Penguin Cafe Orchestra
3/5
Unlike any of the albums I've had so far on this list.
I didn't totally vibe with it but I think it might have just been my mood.
I'll be adding it to my list to check out again in the future.
Suede
3/5
Really enjoyed this, it felt pretty Bowie-esque at times.
Coldplay
3/5
Coldplay feels like the British Nickelback.
People hate on them for no real reason other than it's the fun/funny thing to do.
I enjoyed most of this album, the singles are undeniably catchy.
Sly & The Family Stone
3/5
A funky, uplifting album with great songs like "Everyday People." It’s a classic.
Sleater-Kinney
2/5
I like the vibe, but the vocals are just too shriek-y.
Terence Trent D'Arby
2/5
This album was alright I guess.
He obviously has a great voice but the style of music just isn't for me.
Justice
5/5
Sooooo good.
I recognized a bunch of the songs but could not have time you who they were by.
Easy 5.
Radiohead
4/5
Not my favorite Radiohead album, but still really good.
Favorite track is by far Pyramid Song.
David Bowie
3/5
I've come to realize that David Bowie is really hit and miss for me.
This album is a definite hit.
My favorite track was Girl Loves Me.
Eric Clapton
1/5
I just can't see past how bad of a person he is. While his music might sound alright, he somehow hates the people he ripped it off from.
He's also anti-vax which is the nail in the coffin for me.
Byeeeee
Big Brother & The Holding Company
4/5
Wow, this was a gem.
Never heard of them but Janis Joplin sounds great.
Beastie Boys
5/5
Loved this.
Sample heavy, funky, witty lyrics. What's not to love?
Rush
4/5
I've always enjoyed their hits but never listened to a full album.
I enjoyed this quite a bit; I can wait to start going through their back catalogue.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
3/5
Tom Petty is one of those people who's hits I was familiar with but had never listened to an album front to back.
This one was pretty good, nothing spectacular.
The last track is the standout.
Simple Minds
3/5
I'm a sucker for 80s synthy pop.
Nothing groundbreaking but I enjoyed it.
Various Artists
3/5
Fuck Phil Spector.
Unfortunately this album is actually pretty good.
Fleet Foxes
4/5
I really enjoyed this, definitely has a Mumford and Sons/issue movie feel to it.
A feel good easy listening album.
I feel like it would make a decent road trip album.
Steely Dan
5/5
Love it, this list has shown me I'm a Steely Dan fan.
So groovy.
The Doors
5/5
Such a legendary album, loved the whole thing.
L'America was weird but I dig it.
Mott The Hoople
2/5
It's impossible not to hear the Bowie influence.
Decent glam rock album with (in my opinion) poor pacing.
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band
2/5
This is a weird album... Why in the world is it on this list?
Definitely gives of Rocky Horror vibes.

3/5
This album grew on me.
Weird at first but started vibe with it after a few tracks.
I had only every heard some of his newer stuff so it's cool to see where he started.
Bob Marley & The Wailers
4/5
I wish I had something more profound or insightful to say about the lyrics or subject matter.
In the end I just really enjoy listening to it; really good vibes for a Friday afternoon.
Neil Young
4/5
Thoroughly enjoyed this album.
The Zutons
3/5
Never heard of these guys, but their name sounded fun.
I really enjoyed this album, has a pretty unique sound.
Definitely one I'll be saving for the future.
Favorite songs were Remember Me and Not A Lot To Do.
The Afghan Whigs
1/5
I didn't even make it through the whole album, this was pretty bad.
Lead vocals were terrible.
Deep Purple
2/5
Omg, we get it, your really good at playing your instruments.
I'm sure it's be great live but it just drags on in an album.
The music was fine but the endless solos were kind of annoying.
Black Sabbath
5/5
First time listening to Black Sabbath, no idea why I'd never listen to them.
Loved it, easy 5.
The Doors
5/5
Couldn't believe it when I learned this is they're debut album.
Great album front to back.
The Temptations
4/5
Wow, I really enjoyed this.
So funky and full of soul.
2Pac
4/5
Let's be honest, he was not a good person, for that reason, I don't agree with the way he is idolized by so many.
I'm admittedly biased as I grew up on 90s hiphop, so there's a major nostalgia factor in play.
I love this album and appreciate the social commentary in his lyrics, notably in So Many Years, Lord Knows and Dear Mama.
Old School is such a great track as well.
Led Zeppelin
5/5
I mean...C'mon, it's Zeppelin.
The Verve
2/5
First song aside, this album is pretty meh.
Just feels kinda boring/generic.
Jimi Hendrix
3/5
Went into this thinking I was a Jimi Hendrix fan only to realize I'm really just a fan of his hits.
None of his other tracks are necessarily bad, they're just kinda meh.
Motörhead
4/5
Wow this fucking rocks. I wish I could have seen it live.
The recording quality leaves something to be desired.
Great live album.
Nirvana
5/5
Not my favorite album of theirs but still an easy 5.
T. Rex
2/5

2/5
Very spooky and moody.
It was ok, but I think I'd have to be in a specific mood to listen to it again.

It just sounds very generic and boring.
Simon & Garfunkel
4/5
Stellar album from back to front

Very psychedelic.
Another one of those where if I were in a certain mind set I'm sure I'd love it.
The Sugarcubes
3/5
This was weird, but it's a type of weird that I really vibe with.
Having said that I don't know how often I'll listen to it again.
Adele
2/5
I appreciate that she has a great voice, I just don't really care for her music.
Al Green
4/5
I really enjoyed this album.
When it came up I wasn't really in the mood but forced myself to listen anyway.
No regrets.
The Notorious B.I.G.
5/5
Easy 5.
Yes, Puffy's contributions are annoying and unnecessary but if you look past those, this is easily one if the greatest rap albums of all time.
The Bees
2/5
This was ok, pretty mellow but nothing special.
The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy
5/5
I had never heard of them before so I didn't know what to expect.
I ended up really enjoying a lot about this album; the messages, the jazzy production and Franti's half-spoken vocal style.
It really had me thinking about how a lot of the problems they rap about are unfortunately still very pertinent and relevant today.
The Dead Kennedys cover was also pretty unexpected.
Foo Fighters
4/5
I've never been a huge fan of Foo Fighters outside of their hits that I saw the music videos for on Much Music.
Considering the recent Dave Grohl events I don't see myself becoming a fan or supporting them.
This album is good though, especially when you consider Grohl did it almost completely on his own...kinda wild.
Norah Jones
2/5
It's ok.
Mostly agreeable, easy listening.
Just kinda plain.
I'll admit, it grew on me the longer I listened to it....then I got bored again.

3/5
I've never listened to a Pixies album before, but I enjoyed this.
I kinda liked how short each song was.

I enjoyed it but I don't think I'll listen to it again.
Dr. Dre

Definitely not my favorite album of theirs, but still really good.

This album is objectively amazing and it's sad he's fallen so hard since.

This album is perfect.
Slipknot
4/5
This is just the energy I needed today, loved it.
Depeche Mode
4/5
Love it.
I can't get enough of the dark, kind of depressing 80s/early 90s synth pop.
The vocals are haunting at times.
Kraftwerk
2/5
While I didn't really jive with it, it's incredible this was made in the 70s.
Eminem
4/5
Definitely hasn't aged well, but when this first came out I was too young to really pay attention to what the lyrics were actually saying. I just sang the words, thinking it was cool that there was a good while rapper.
I like it for the nostalgia though.
Pink Floyd
4/5
It's a classic for a reason.
It felt a little long in my opinion, but I also don't know where I'd trim anything off.

3/5
It was ok... Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it.

The perfect blend of psychedelic rock, folk and country.

Keith Jarrett
4/5
Wow, the story behind this is kind of wild.
The music is incredible as well.
This isn't the type of music I typically seek out so there's a good chance I would have never heard it, but this is exactly the kind of stuff I love finding in this list.
Lynyrd Skynyrd
4/5
Great album all the way through.
Beastie Boys
3/5
I'm a fan of Beastie Boys but an entire album at once is a lot.

Overall enjoyable but, better in small doses.
Sufjan Stevens

I had no expectations on this one. I'd never heard of Sujan before.
I enjoyed it.
It's probably not something I'll listen to again, but I love learning about new music so I appreciated it coming up in this list.
