Radiohead
5/5
I have such mixed feelings about this album. Radiohead is one of my favorite bands and this could have the highest highs of any radiohead album. That being said, fitter happier>electioneering>climbing up the walls could be the weakest three song run in like any radiohead album.
Beatles

This album is super underrated but it kinda falls off in the second half. I think the ballads on here are A1! I also love the acoustic guitars. Favorite moment on the album is Paul's high harmony on the bridge of "You can't do that"

White Denim
3/5
Super cool. Songs are super jam packed with awesome stuff but not a whole lot of sticky melodies
Talking Heads
5/5
Obvious classic. Gets better every time. Last two songs hit harder than usual
Earth, Wind & Fire
5/5
Fucking kick ass. Some of my favorite bass playing ever. The songs production and performances are just top top top top tier
The Police
5/5
I loved every second of this. They are the sickest band ever the songwriting is so good and the production is so crisp. Love me some cops
Living Colour
2/5
I acc kinda fucked w it. So 80s but guitarist is so cracked
Big Brother & The Holding Company
2/5

Johnny Cash
5/5
Unbelievable. So so so good
Beatles
5/5

Few words can describe my love for this album. A true classic in that you discover something new you love about it every listen. Also after watching the documentary of the making of this the emotional core behind it is so special. Bravo
Slipknot
3/5
I actually kinda fucked with it. Some great songwriting and performances. Still not my thing but psychosocial is a banger
Britney Spears
4/5
This is like eating too much candy. It is the best thing in the world but then ur stomach gets sick after too much. This is an overload of immaculately written and produced pop music, but by track 10 I was exhausted
Jethro Tull
4/5
Wonderful folk prog. Locomotive breath one of the few songs that says “Gideon.” I enjoyed it a lot great stuff JT
The Temptations
3/5
Yessirrrrr. Nothing too standout but harmonies rule
Elvis Costello

The xx
2/5
Listened to this biking through Brooklyn, maybe anything is nice doing that but this kinda hit in that setting. Still not my fav tho. 2.5
Christina Aguilera
3/5
Damn this was awesome. Super long didn’t finish tbh but incredible pop music and I loved how sparse the production was. She definitely represents another era of pop singer where being like a powerhouse was the thing, kinda like Mariah and Whitney.
The Specials
3/5
Super fun. Great stuff
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
4/5
Super great! Only a few songs I’d come back to but I was super impressed with how it kept me the whole time. Last song also is a fav because of deathly hallows
George Jones
3/5
Perfect country album. Songs were super well crafted and no fat. He’s got a great voice. Pedal steel. Song lyrics r about being lonesome. Just don’t know if it’s something I put on, but if I’m ever in the mood for this you are my first call grand tour by George jones
Sleater-Kinney
4/5
I really do love this album. The songwriting and guitar playing is awesome. Need to get more into this stuff. 4.5 for me.
The Cars

Yeah I mean I don’t know if there is a more perfect album. For a while I thought this was a greatest hits album it is that good. Guitar playing could be my fav part. What a perfect power pop album
Violent Femmes
4/5
Super super fun. Feels ahead of its time kinda like something u could see at a house show in Boston lmao. Last song was beautiful
Red Hot Chili Peppers
3/5
Ya know I gotta give the peppers credit. They are great at what they do. Do I like what they do? Not really. If Anthony kiedis was a different singer I’d like them way way way more
Arctic Monkeys
4/5
This album just makes me think of Davis so it makes me happy. Super nostalgic too because all the big kids were obsessed w it in freshman t show so it will always be a cool album to me. 4.5 cuz it’s a tad one note
Bad Brains
3/5
Ngl knowing the bad brains I know hearing the total 80s production was weird. They are super tight but I kinda prefer the grittier lofi shit
The Stooges
3/5
Iggy! Love my boy. Album is iconic and one of the best album covers ever idc. Idk how much I’ll come back to it but I certainly enjoyed it!
Tracy Chapman

Yeah Yeah Yeahs
3/5
i really wanted to like this album more than i did. I will say it got better as it went on, and it definitely had its own sound to it. The production was super cool and I like Karen O, but it just did not grab me as I wanted it to.
Kraftwerk
4/5
A stone cold classic. So beautiful and revolutionary. Reminds me of when we studied it in berlin
Genesis
5/5
Um. Need I say more. I think on this listen cinema show solidified itself in the Mount Rushmore of Genesis songs. Suppers ready, firth of fifth, back in nyc, cinema show. Musical box is the 5
The Smashing Pumpkins
5/5
This back to back w selling England was magical. Another incredible album. I’d cut silverfuck in half but besides that it doesn’t lull for a long album. Soma remains the best song ever

5/5
So good god damn. The harmonies and songs and energy r just everything. Seriously one of my ten favorite bands for a reason. The piano adds so damn much too. 9.5/10

3/5
Pretty damn good! Loved some of the songs and the production aged super well. Love early 90s New York hip hop. 3.5

Supergrass
4/5
Hell yeah! Broke the curse of like 50 consecutive ass Brit rock albums. Love the dudes voice and the songs were super smart and fun and catchy. Loved the last song too
Pearl Jam
2/5
To be totally honest, this album is so dumb. The hits are good but god damn grunge is so corny. Every song takes itself way too seriously and has very little to it. And the guitar solos are INTERMINABLE. Sorry bill Simmons I know they are your favorite band but this is just not for me
Jurassic 5
4/5
Super awesome! My swim coach recommended me them a while ago and I’m gladly I finally listened. Love this kind of rap can listen all day long. 4.5
David Bowie
3/5
I used to adore this album but man the album cuts were kind of a slog. Title track, win, and fame RULE though. Win is a top 5 Bowie song for me it reminds of me 10th grade. 3.5
Hole
4/5
HELL YEAH! So fucking good god damn. The hooks are fucking syrupy as hell with such a sadness underlying it. Some skips which is why it’s 4.5 but god damn so fucking good. I put this on over nirvana anyday
Abdullah Ibrahim
4/5
Incredible jazz album! Read the first chapter of Owen meany to this. Such a good vibe so beautiful
Nine Inch Nails
3/5
Is this something I will put on in my free time? Probably not. But god damn it is a cool album and the production is pretty mind blowing. All of the industrial drum shit that has seeped its way into modern music, I’m thinking about mkgee and Dijon, totally stands on the shoulders of this. Also OG hurt is very interesting to hear it’s def the best track imo.
Joy Division
1/5
Forgot to rate this! It is a piece of crap! Fuck this album it is garbage I like nothing about it
Richard Thompson
4/5

Joy Division
1/5
Like, I’m done with this shit. Better than unknown pleasures just so pain stakingly boring

Syd Barrett
4/5
So fucking cool. Might even like it as much as piper. He is such a cool and interesting songwriter. Gone way too soon
Duran Duran
3/5
Super poppy and super fun. Some incredible songs. Suffers the problem a lot of 80s records have which is that every song is 1.5 minutes too long. But some awesome stuff. 7/10
Sonic Youth
4/5
You know I’ve never been a sonic youth guy but I really enjoyed this. I think the Kim Gordon songs r my favorite. A little punky for me but I still fucked with it. Sometimes the punky stuff sacrifices melody writing which is totally ok but that will always lose me. I need melodiesssss or hookssss
Bob Dylan
5/5
I mean come on. Dylan at his rawest form. Some songs I had never heard before that RULED. I feel like this is the moment that Dylan became Dylan like some of these songs will be played for the rest of time. Bob Dylan’s dream was my fav
Elvis Presley
3/5
Yessir this is so great. Never listened to an Elvis album start to finish. He is such a good singer. Obv understand the problem tho lol
Tito Puente
3/5
So awesome and groovy. Will probs not come back to it but enjoyed it so

3/5
Super cool and like proto shoegaze in a way. I love the guy’s voice it sounds kinda like Westerberg tbh. Did not love the sound of the snare lol
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
3/5
Got to give this points for originality. Idk if it was totally my thing but production and ideation was super fresh. I’ve also seen videos of them performing and they destroy live
Eminem
4/5
Very nostalgic album. So fucking good I’m ngl but a point off for some incredibly fucked up lyrics and it being about 15 minutes too long
The Cure
1/5
BUTT. God this band sucks so bad. There songs r absolutely nothing. Liked the cover but wow I really don’t like this band
Slint
3/5
I understand this album is incredibly influential, especially on music that I adore like all of the windmill scene. But it still has never fully clicked for me. I def enjoy it more than I used to but I have yet to have my moment with it
Malcolm McLaren
5/5
Dude YES! Wow this album fucking ruled. It is literally a fusion of everything cool ever. African beats and hooks and instrumentals. Thomas Dolby and Trevor horn homemade synth beats. Incredible grooves. 50 different genres in one. I’m in love
Badly Drawn Boy
3/5
I forgot to rate this! It had some great songs and was not bad at all. Pretty mid and had some bad stuff tho
Creedence Clearwater Revival
3/5
A classic. One of my favorites as a kid. TBH half of the blues songs u can kinda throw away. And heard it through the grapevine is way too long. But some of the best contributions to the great American song book lie here. 3.5
Fugees
5/5
HEAT. Lauryn hill is generational why did she literally drop two albums and then vanish. Love the reggae stuff on here too. The cover of KMSWHS is an all time favorite god her voice gives me chills
Lupe Fiasco
3/5
I love a good mid 2000s rap album… except for them all being about 25 minutes too long. Not bad at all though production and rhymes were a one and he is also a good singer. 3.5
Morrissey
4/5
First post smiths solo album and he still had his fastball. Great Great songs on here. Was not listening to closely but I loved what I heard
Neil Young
4/5
MJ Lenderman but 50 years earlier. It is crazy how influential this album is. Love the songs and his voice and the scrappy production. Super super great. 4.5
ZZ Top
2/5
Eh. Had higher hopes. This is great fuel for the take me and Eli r developing that classic rock is just not the best genre. I think I grew out of it. That being said la grange rips
Joan Armatrading
4/5
Obv love and affection is one of the best songs ever made, had never listened to the whole album and liked it a lot! She is so great and her voice is so beautiful. Songs ruled too
Neil Young
5/5
I mean. A true 5. Although When I was younger I was like this is OBV his best album. But as I get older I feel like the rawer tonight’s the night/on the beach/sums shit might be his best stuff. As I grow older, the Neil young albums that click with me are from when he was older
Kelela
3/5
good modern r and b album! great production and she has a beatiful voice. not 100% my thing but I really enjoyed it. 3.5
3/5
Love X. Definitely a bigger fan of their less punky stuff but so unique and Billy zoom is an absolute axe slinger on guitar
David Bowie

Bob Marley & The Wailers

Fucking awesome. Great album Bobby M. Hard for him to miss and the guitar solo on concrete jungle rules
The Hives

Not bad. Pretty decent punk album no real complaints. They were super super tight
The Mamas & The Papas
5/5
Dude! This album rules! Why have I never given this a fair shot I adored this. Definitely going to come back to it. The harmonies are so damn good and the arrangements are like pet soundsy. Great job wrecking crew. Aged super super well

Songhoy Blues
3/5
Really cool stuff. Super great background music i loved the grooves
Dire Straits
3/5
An album with some great songs that had unfortunately aged pretty terribly. My dad says this was like one of the most popular albums of the 80s. Things that haven’t aged well: the second verse of money for nothing. YIKES! Love walk of life though and money for nothing is a fucking BANGER otherwise shoutout sting
The Rolling Stones
4/5
I mean this feels like THE rock and roll album. It is everything good about rock and roll: high energy, sloppy, drugged out, and soulful. Some of the all time best stones songs on here. One critique is that it is a little too long. But I’d say 85% of it I adore. 4.5
Moby Grape
5/5
Woohoo!!!!! Incredible fucking album!!!! I knew hey grandma and Omaha but god damn so many other HITS! Incredible songwriting and the vibe is so great wish it was on Spotify
Public Image Ltd.

Metallica
4/5
Yes sir. This album fucking ruled god damn. Should not hate on Metallica again this album had little little flaws. 4.5 cuz Lars still sucks but wow very impressed
Gotan Project
2/5
Unfortunately not my thing at all. I’m sure it’s good but it is already a genre I dont vibe with at all and it is not in English which is ok but ultimately makes it harder for me to attach w if musically nothing I like is going on. Cool they did a Zappa cover
Rush
2/5
Idk man. Like rush is cool I guess but there is just something so corny about it. The lyrics and vocals really take me out
The Stone Roses
4/5
They say this is like the first Brit rock album, and a theme of this exercise I’ve learned is that I do NOT like Brit rock. That being said this album is fucking excellent. The songwriting is so good and it sounds great. Shoutout one of my fav producers John leckie. A Davis classic. 4.5/5
Run-D.M.C.
3/5
A classic album. It’s kinda like listening to like Elvis or something. Very primitive and super fun. Can’t say it is something I put on but certainly understand it’s importance and it has a bunch of hits
Lenny Kravitz
3/5
There were things I loved about this and things I really did not love. I love his voice and the harmonies I could listen to that all day. Some of the songwriting was a little too “classic rock” for me which is something I’m realizing can really turn me off.
Q-Tip
4/5
Great record wow!!! He is so fucking good he is def in my Mount Rushmore of rappers. The production was so good too and shoutout Norah Jones and dangelo for two great Dion waiters. Also this was def a tribute to j dilla which was beautiful.

Jerry Lee Lewis
4/5
Kinda diesel wtf. Raw raw raw energy. I know JLL married his 13 year old cousin but like this rocks

Supertramp
3/5
Was excited but ultimately a tad let down. I love breakfast in America but this just felt very dated to me. I love the dude w the high voice and he like barely sang where was he
Kraftwerk
4/5
I mean u gotta love kraftwerk. This album is poppier than TEE in a weird way? Love love love it regardless
Hole
3/5
