Pretty lame Slow and predictable. Not all bad but nothing that stands out
Listening to this felt like sitting in a traffic jam when you’re a kid and your parents insist on only listening to a talk-radio show where the guest and host don’t speak directly into the microphone so the volume is inconsistent. You get a headache, you’re unsettled. Said differently, it was like refreshing your Instagram feed for 1hr and 9min and only seeing the same meme you didn’t think was funny the first time. Said differently, I didn’t like it.
I felt like the 1001 Album Generator person was punishing me by making me listen to this. Bad music and silly lyrics.
Just whining here… and when it comes to Brit-rock, Suede just doesn’t do it for me. One of the weaker ones, in my book.
Painfully boring and 90's

This isn't out right bad... It just feels so uninspired. It sounds like every other late 80s/early 90s Brit alt rock albums that this list is rife with. I've gotten so many of these, I think I hit my breaking point. Also, 1994? This album sounds both behind and ahead of the times, in the worst ways. I like this line from Wikipedia: "In contrast to their debut album 'Suede', which exhibited the influences of David Bowie and the Smiths,[1] Dog Man Star exhibits a more varied aesthetic and draws from a wider range of influences." No it doesn't. It sounds like a cheap knock off of both the Smiths and Bowie. There is nothing special about this album and listening felt like a waste of an hour.

I had a friend who bought this album 30 years ago. I also remember him throwing it out the car window while I was driving 90 down A1A at night.

I listened to the entire 69 minutes of this. Surely an effort worthy of a Victoria Cross? Introduce ‘Death By Suede’ into the judicial system and watch crime rates fall to zero 1.4

Beyond bummed to discover that a second album by this band is on this list. What a waste. Suede sucks. I am not in to this at all.

Not my style… 90’s yuck
ok first song sucks. second song also not good - hate the horns. song three - overblown, overproduced, don't like this dude's voice. song four - trying different headphones to see if i like this any better. song five - headphones not helping. going to be tough to get through this. song six was tolerable. song nine is emoting me to death. only 5 to go. song 11 - over nine minutes of torture. nothing under 4:20 left. no relief. song 13 - the long version. lucky me. song 14 - just noticed it was a b-side but notices too late to not listen. add this one to 1001 albums i hope to never hear again before i die.
Boring and pretentious.
I feel that I like Britpop...which means I feel that I should like Suede. However, no matter how much I try, I really don't care for Suede. Now I am thinking...do I even really like Britpop? 1.5/5

Is heel veel dingen, maar is al die dingen net niet; rock, psychedelisch, the smiths, bowey etc. De zanger heeft naar mijn mening ook een zagende, niet zuivere stem.

Still trying to figure out what it is about most Brit rock/pop that gives me zero reasons to like it. It’s like a half step off from being something I could love.
