1001 Albums Summary

The album was pretty average, in my opinion. A few songs were good, but most weren't. I struggled to finish the album. I don't think I'd ever revisit it properly again, not even the songs I liked really.

I'd never heard of this album, or the band until now, but I'm glad I found out about them. The music is just so good! I can't believe how good this album has been, from start to finish!

I'm not a big Nirvana fan, but I know this album is meant to be a classic. And it was pretty good. Not my most favourite album that I've listened to, but it was definitely not bad. The standout songs for me were Something In The Way and Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam.

This album is pretty average, to be honest. The only songs I sort of liked were You're A Big Girl Now, Only Teething and Get On It.

It's a solid album. I like all of the songs on it!

I like all of the songs on this album. I actually really like Jim Morrison's voice, it's very mysterious sounding and I think that's what draws me in to this band. Plus, I love the organ sound that they often used.

I like the songs Phrentrow and Sacrifice, Break You Off and Complexity. All of the feature songs were good, except The Seed (2.0). Otherwise I didn't enjoy any of the songs and found it hard to engage with and properly listen to.

It's a good album, I like the sound, but at the same time, it is really repetitive and all the songs sound the same.

Some of the songs are good, some not. Just Like Honey, The Hardest Walk, Cut Dead are the only songs I really liked. The others were mostly unlistenable in all aspects. I struggled to get through the whole album.

It sounds like a Beatles album, only more repetitive which makes it worse. But I can't say that it is bad. My favourite song is I Can't Get Her Off My Mind

I am very intrigued by this album. But at the same time, I don't like it. But it has to be one of the most interesting albums I've heard yet.

A lot of the songs sound the same, but they're not bad. That's for sure.

The instrumental at the start is amazing! I loved it! But then it gets worse. There's a few good songs, but most of them were unlistenable for me. I'm only giving it a 3 because of that first song.

Okay, so now I've listened to both albums by The Smashing Pumpkins, and this one is better than the other. There are more songs that I vibe with and I think that I may actually revisit after. My favourite is Spaceboy.

This album is very slow. I usually like slow songs, but most of these were a miss for me. Highlights were Stardust, the title track, the cover of Unchained Melody and Someone To Watch Over Me.

Nope. Just nope. There were no highlights here. I didn't like anything about this album. I like some of his older work, but this is not it.

I really like this album and everything about it. From the vocals, to the instrumental, to the production. Highlights have been Dirty Work, Kings, Reelin' In The Years (yes I know it's their most well known song but it's so good). All in all, a very solid album. 5 stars from me!

So this album...it was good, but I felt like it was nothing that special. Nothing really stood out. But I liked the vocals on every song.

First off, I want to say that I am no near a huge fan of rap, the genre is not one that I go out of my way to listen to. But this album is actually alright. There were songs that were really catchy. Alright, so this was a very interesting listen. There's a very interesting mix of genres on this album. Definitely considerable whether it would work or not, but it does. I just found out that Elvis Costello produced this album - no wonder it sounds pretty good. 4/5 stars.

First off, I love the segue between some of the songs, it just flows so smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised with how good most of the songs sounded. Highlights were King of The Night Time World, Shout It Out Loud and Beth. The only thing was I felt I was getting bored through listening to some of the songs, and there was one that I just disliked, so I rate it 3.5-4/5 stars.

I haven't really delved into Frank Ocean's music before, there's only a couple of songs that I knew before listening to this album. But this album is SO good! I can't get over how good it sounds, from start to finish. Highlights were Thinkin Bout You, Sweet Life, Pilot Jones, Pyramids, Lost, Bad Religion. Definitely rate it 5/5 stars. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This might very well be my favourite album I've been given to listen so far. I'm definitely going to be listening to more of his music after this.

Overall, this album did not disappoint. Highlights are Nick of Time and Love Letter. But I don't think the album has the 'great' factor. Most of it became good background music while I was doing stuff. 4/5 stars.

This album was so good! The opener track was amazing and I know I'm definitely going to be listening to it a lot from now on. And as for the rest of the album, wow! Every single track was good but there were a few highlights for me as well as the opener track - Armistice Day, Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard, Peace Like a River and Paranoia Blues. This album is definitely one of the better albums I've heard so far. It makes me want to delve deeper into Paul Simon's discography, and more into the folk rock genre itself. 5/5 stars.

I love a lot of Bob Marley and The Wailer's music. Their music is what introduced me to reggae and was music I grew up with. Overall, it was a pretty solid album My favourite songs from this album are Slave Driver, Stir It Up and Kinky Reggae. 4/5 stars just bc some of the songs were not that great in my opinion

First and last time I'm ever going to listen to grindcore. The music is... alright, but the vocals... oh boy. If I wanted to listen to growling I'd just sit in my lounge room listening to my dog growl at everything he sees outside the window. It's unfortunate that I have to actually rate it out of 5 stars because i wouldn't give it one if I could.

First off, it was only a couple of days ago that I discovered a song from this album and I liked it so could it be fate that this album has been brought to me for today? Who knows, but I really, really enjoyed this album. I liked how the songs were indie pop, but at times had elements of folk-rock too. My favourites from this album are The Stars of Track & Field, Seeing Other People, Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying, If You're Feeling Sinister and Mayfly. 5/5 stars.

Another album that I wasn't sure that I'd like. Honestly I was mostly right, but there were a few songs that I did like and I liked them a lot. Like Neighbourhood 1 (Tunnels) and Une Annee Sans Lumiere. Wake Up was OK too, but otherwise it was pretty average. 3/5 stars.

I really enjoyed this album. I'm a huge R&B fan, but not usually into electronic music. I don't really know what I was expecting but I was into it. It has the right amount of smooth R&B and the right amount of electronica for most tracks. My highlights from the album were Frontline, Waitin, Jupiter, Better, Bluff and Altadena.

This was pretty average 60's psychedelic rock. I liked a few songs, like Lost Women, The Nazz are Blue, Rack My Mind and Hot House of Omagarashid but rest of the songs were pretty forgettable.

Honestly it was pretty average R&B. I did really enjoy the songs On It and The Other Side, though.

Sensual, soulful, funky. This album has it all. Loved every moment of it. My favourite songs were Let's Get It On, Keep Gettin' It On and You Sure Love To Ball.

I enjoyed practically every song on this album, I just felt it was a bit too long for me. This has to be my favourite Rolling Stones album that I've heard through this time that I've been generating albums (and I've heard most of them).

I see this album's significance in the history of rap music, I see their influence in rap music as the 90s, 2000s and 2010s have progressed. But it wasn't for me, and will not be an album I will be revisiting.

I'm a casual Lana Del Rey fan, only this year gone through her whole discography. I enjoyed this album, and have gone through it all a couple of times. I feel like there were songs I liked more than others e.g. White Dress, and so I revisit these songs more often. All in all a good album though.

This is one of my favourite Beatles albums, I love it so much. My favourite songs are Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds and She's Leaving Home.

This was a nice album, very relaxing to listen to. Unlike anything I've heard before.

Overall it was pretty fun to listen to. Gives you a taste as to what it would have been like to hear him perform live. I'm just not a huge fan of his music.

This album has a special, special place in my heart. All of these songs are amazing, especially Head Over Heels. That's my favourite of theirs and one of my all time favourite songs.

I thoroughly enjoyed this album. Although I'm not really a fan of hard rock / heavy metal, AC/DC is one of the few bands I do like to listen to from time to time. It has classics (like Back In Black and You Shook Me All Night Long) and some more underrated tracks too that were really good.

This isn't really my thing, but some of the songs (like D.A.N.C.E) were good. That one in particular was a dedication to MJ, which I love to see (and has references to some of his songs).

Lily, Rosemary and The Jack Of Hearts is my favourite song off the album, it's length wasn't a problem as I was captivated the entire time.

Um, so this album didn't really age too well. The lyricism is the problem, a lot of it didn't sit right with me. As for the skits... well, I think they weren't necessary at all. Big Poppa and Juicy are the only songs I like and will continue to listen to.
