I haven't really delved into Frank Ocean's music before, there's only a couple of songs that I knew before listening to this album. But this album is SO good! I can't get over how good it sounds, from start to finish. Highlights were Thinkin Bout You, Sweet Life, Pilot Jones, Pyramids, Lost, Bad Religion. Definitely rate it 5/5 stars. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This might very well be my favourite album I've been given to listen so far. I'm definitely going to be listening to more of his music after this.
I don't know what I was expecting prior to listening to this, but wow! I loved every single song on this album. 5/5 stars. I am definitely going to be revisiting this album.
I couldn't listen properly listen to most of the songs. I just don't see the appeal. The only ones I could listen to were Blood On The Leaves and Bound 2, with the latter being the only one I really enjoyed. 1/5 stars.
I really enjoyed this album. I'm a huge R&B fan, but not usually into electronic music. I don't really know what I was expecting but I was into it. It has the right amount of smooth R&B and the right amount of electronica for most tracks. My highlights from the album were Frontline, Waitin, Jupiter, Better, Bluff and Altadena.
Listened to it once, will never probably listen to it again.
The album was pretty average, in my opinion. A few songs were good, but most weren't. I struggled to finish the album. I don't think I'd ever revisit it properly again, not even the songs I liked really.
I'd never heard of this album, or the band until now, but I'm glad I found out about them. The music is just so good! I can't believe how good this album has been, from start to finish!
I'm not a big Nirvana fan, but I know this album is meant to be a classic. And it was pretty good. Not my most favourite album that I've listened to, but it was definitely not bad. The standout songs for me were Something In The Way and Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam.
This album is pretty average, to be honest. The only songs I sort of liked were You're A Big Girl Now, Only Teething and Get On It.
It's a solid album. I like all of the songs on it!
I like all of the songs on this album. I actually really like Jim Morrison's voice, it's very mysterious sounding and I think that's what draws me in to this band. Plus, I love the organ sound that they often used.
I like the songs Phrentrow and Sacrifice, Break You Off and Complexity. All of the feature songs were good, except The Seed (2.0). Otherwise I didn't enjoy any of the songs and found it hard to engage with and properly listen to.
It's a good album, I like the sound, but at the same time, it is really repetitive and all the songs sound the same.
Some of the songs are good, some not. Just Like Honey, The Hardest Walk, Cut Dead are the only songs I really liked. The others were mostly unlistenable in all aspects. I struggled to get through the whole album.
It sounds like a Beatles album, only more repetitive which makes it worse. But I can't say that it is bad. My favourite song is I Can't Get Her Off My Mind
I am very intrigued by this album. But at the same time, I don't like it. But it has to be one of the most interesting albums I've heard yet.
A lot of the songs sound the same, but they're not bad. That's for sure.
The instrumental at the start is amazing! I loved it! But then it gets worse. There's a few good songs, but most of them were unlistenable for me. I'm only giving it a 3 because of that first song.
I liked this album quite a lot. Some songs were better than others, but this is definitely one of the better albums I've heard so far. By This River is my favourite song off this album, with Through Hollow Lands a close second.
Solid album. I liked every single song. I'm very much into jazz and blues, so this album was a thumbs up for me.
Okay, so now I've listened to both albums by The Smashing Pumpkins, and this one is better than the other. There are more songs that I vibe with and I think that I may actually revisit after. My favourite is Spaceboy.
This album is very slow. I usually like slow songs, but most of these were a miss for me. Highlights were Stardust, the title track, the cover of Unchained Melody and Someone To Watch Over Me.
Nope. Just nope. There were no highlights here. I didn't like anything about this album. I like some of his older work, but this is not it.
I really like this album and everything about it. From the vocals, to the instrumental, to the production. Highlights have been Dirty Work, Kings, Reelin' In The Years (yes I know it's their most well known song but it's so good). All in all, a very solid album. 5 stars from me!
I didn't really enjoy this album that much. Some songs were alright. The song Alright was the highlight of this album, I love that song. That's the only reason why this album is getting a 2/5 stars.
So this album...it was good, but I felt like it was nothing that special. Nothing really stood out. But I liked the vocals on every song.
First off, I want to say that I am no near a huge fan of rap, the genre is not one that I go out of my way to listen to. But this album is actually alright. There were songs that were really catchy. Do you believe that this is coming from a person that doesn't even like their most known song? This band really surprised me here. Still, 3/5 stars as it didn't hugely stand out for me.
Alright, so this was a very interesting listen. There's a very interesting mix of genres on this album. Definitely considerable whether it would work or not, but it does. I just found out that Elvis Costello produced this album - no wonder it sounds pretty good. 4/5 stars.
I really enjoyed this album, and everything about it. 5/5 stars.
Wow. Just wow. I'd heard this album was great, and very influential, and now I can see why. I don't even have the words to say how good this album is. 5/5 stars.
I was pleasantly surprised by this album. I didn't like the first song, but I liked all of the rest of the songs and I can see myself listening to most of them again. 4/5 stars.
It was a very relaxing album. I liked most of the songs, but I did get bored a bit of the way through it. 3/5 stars.
So, I wasn't sure what I was expecting prior to giving this album a listen. I'm not a punk fan, but I really enjoyed this album. It does sound a lot like other music within this genre that I've heard before, though. Highlights were Greetings To The New Brunette, Train Train, The Marriage, Levi Stubbs' Tears and Wishing The Days Away, but I liked every song. 4/5 stars.
There was one song that I couldn't listen to (damn you Spotify). But to be honest, the album isn't all that great. Race For The Prize is the only good song on the album. 2/5 stars.
It's safe to say I didn't enjoy this album. Apart from the song Common People. 1/5 stars.
First off, I love the segue between some of the songs, it just flows so smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised with how good most of the songs sounded. Highlights were King of The Night Time World, Shout It Out Loud and Beth. The only thing was I felt I was getting bored through listening to some of the songs, and there was one that I just disliked, so I rate it 3.5-4/5 stars.
Overall, this album did not disappoint. Highlights are Nick of Time and Love Letter. But I don't think the album has the 'great' factor. Most of it became good background music while I was doing stuff. 4/5 stars.
Not my vibe, but it doesn't sound bad. 2/5 stars.
Didn't like anything about this one. 1/5 stars.
This album wasn't really my thing. I liked the instrumentals behind some of the songs, but that was it. But I certainly have heard worse out of the albums I've been generated. 2/5 stars.
Some songs I liked, some I didn't so much. I got rather bored after a while. 2/5 stars.
Overall, a very solid album in all aspects. I prefer the other versions of Another Brick In The Wall to the most well known version. 5/5 stars.
Pretty solid album from start to finish. I liked most of the songs. I was pleasantly surprised as I'm not much of a Rolling Stones fan.
Didn't enjoy this one. Didn't finish it. 1/5 stars.
Pretty solid album, I liked all of the songs, but only the well known songs stood out for me. 3/5 stars.
This album was so good! The opener track was amazing and I know I'm definitely going to be listening to it a lot from now on. And as for the rest of the album, wow! Every single track was good but there were a few highlights for me as well as the opener track - Armistice Day, Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard, Peace Like a River and Paranoia Blues. This album is definitely one of the better albums I've heard so far. It makes me want to delve deeper into Paul Simon's discography, and more into the folk rock genre itself. 5/5 stars.
Some songs were alright, others I couldn't stand. 2/5 stars.
This album is pretty good! I like it a lot. Highlights have been I Saw The Light, Wolfman Jack and Couldn't I Just Tell You. The only thing is it did get quite boring due to how many songs there are on the album. 3/5 stars.
This album is so good! This and Wish You Were Here were the albums that introduced me to progressive rock and I've never found a genre so interesting in my life. I love all of the songs on this album but my favourites are Money, Time, Us and Them, Breathe (In The Air) and The Great Gig In The Sky. 5/5 stars.
I like some of Bruce Springsteen's music in general, but this was a snoozefest. 1/5 stars.
I love a lot of Bob Marley and The Wailer's music. Their music is what introduced me to reggae and was music I grew up with. Overall, it was a pretty solid album My favourite songs from this album are Slave Driver, Stir It Up and Kinky Reggae. 4/5 stars just bc some of the songs were not that great in my opinion
I did not enjoy this album at all, I couldn't finish it. 1/5 stars.
I didn't vibe with this album. The only song I like is Alive, and I think that's purely for nostalgia. So for that I give 2/5 stars.
The sort of music this band makes isn't what I'm usually into, but I was pleasantly surprised. I liked it. It wasn't amazing, but definitely good. 3/5 stars.
I'm not really into grunge rock, but I liked some of the songs - Smells Like Team Spirit, Lithium, Polly, On A Plain and Something In The Way. But the rest of the songs I didn't really enjoy that much. 3/5 stars.
This album was alright. I previously knew the songs The Look Of Love Pt. 1 and Poison Arrow and I really enjoy them, but the rest of the songs were about average. 3.5/5 stars.
Didn't like any of this. 1/5 stars.
This album was great! None of the songs missed the mark for me; I enjoyed them all. This is a masterpiece, honestly. 5/5 stars.
Speed metal... I knew this album would be a miss for me without even listening to it, but of course I took on the challenge and did it anyway. I was right. I have nothing against this band, in fact I am in awe of them because it is clear to me that they were all really talented people. Apart from the song Ace Of Spades really, the rest of the live album wasn't that enjoyable. 2/5 stars for this one.
Pretty solid album, good background music. Enjoyable, but I felt like a lot of the songs sounded the same. 4/5 stars.
I liked this album, it was solid from start to finish. Not that surprising since I really enjoy folk rock, but yeah. My favourite songs were Walk On and Vampire Blues. I could see myself revisiting this album. 4/5 stars.
This album wasn't for me. Not my vibe at all, though Around The World is a good song but I think i like it because of nostalgia. 1/5 stars.
I love Bob Marley and The Wailers so I knew I'd love the album. And I wasn't disappointed. It was a solid album, although my favourites off the album are the most known tracks - Three Little Birds and One Love / People Get Ready. 5/5 stars.
The opening track threw me off a little, mainly due to how long it is. I'm not really used to listening to such long songs. But it wasn't bad. This album wasn't bad, but I didn't like some of the songs. 3.5-4/5 stars.
Such an incredible album, I think it's one of Stevie's best, if not the best album of his. My favourite songs are Sir Duke, Have A Talk With God, Pastime Paradise and Isn't She Lovely. 5/5 stars.
I don't know what I was expecting prior to listening to this, but wow! I loved every single song on this album. 5/5 stars. I am definitely going to be revisiting this album.
I thought this album was pretty average, but not bad. I liked most of the songs but there were a few I didn't like. 3/5 stars.
This album was a pleasant surprise. I liked most of the songs (my favourite is Home Again) and could see myself revisiting a lot of these, but there were a few songs that I didn't like. 4/5 stars.
I really enjoy listening to this album - my favourite songs are Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Martha My Dear and I Will. But there are some songs that I don't enjoy so that's why I'm giving it a 4/5 stars.
I'm not much of a fan of grunge music. I didn't like this album much but there were a few good songs. 2/5 stars for this one.
This album wasn't really for me, I didn't like it that much. 1/5 stars.
I liked this one but not sure whether I'll revisit any of the songs again. 3/5 stars
I enjoyed this album a lot. So iconic. 4/5 stars.
This album wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I can't see myself revisiting any of these songs. 2/5 stars.
Talented musician, there is no doubt there. I can see the appeal she would have, but honestly I have to say that a lot of the songs were a bit hard on the ears. 2/5 stars because there were a couple of songs I liked.
Didn't like it that much... it was okay. 2/5 stars.
Yet another album that I've never heard from prior to listening... but this one is different from most of the other 'hidden' albums that I've never heard of. It's so good, wow. My favourite songs are I Am Trying To Break Your Heart, Kamera and Jesus etc, but I enjoyed all of them. 5/5 stars.
I have heard good things about this album, so I had somewhat high expectations. Unfortunately his album was disappointing. 2/5 stars for Hallelujah and Lilac Wine, because those were the only songs I liked.
The Next Life was the only song I liked. The rest of the album I didn't enjoy. 1.5/5 stars.
This live album was pretty good, I enjoyed it. Can definitely see why it is considered to be one of the best blues albums ever recorded. 4.5/5 stars.
Not exactly what I was expecting from the Bee Gees. It was an okay album, it sounded very much like The Beatles and The Beach Boys. I really liked You'll Never See My Face Again and Marley Purt Drive, though. 3/5 stars.
Not the biggest Rolling Stones fan, and I still haven't been swayed. This album in my opinion was pretty average. Nothing really stood out. 3/5 stars.
I didn't really enjoy this album. 1.5/5 stars.
This album was good. Solid album from start to finish, although most of it didn't really stand out for me. 3.5-4/5 stars.
The first song on the album makes me feel like I stepped into a sci-fi movie/show. 10/10 for the instrumentals, but the vocals are a bit too much for me at times. Tom Sawyer, Limelight and YYZ weren't bad, but the rest were eh. Overall, I'll give it a 3/5 stars. Not probably going to go out of my way to listen to it again.
I liked the instrumentals, but I just couldn't enjoy the songs properly. I didn't really like John's voice, but the songs got better towards the end of the album. 2/5 stars.
The instrumentals are pretty good on most of the songs, but that is it. Nothing else is good about this. 1/5 stars.
It was okay, i liked some of the songs. My favourite was Planet Caravan. 2.5/3 stars, rounded up to 3.
I did like this album, but not enough to feel like revisiting most of the songs again. I think i only added a couple to my library. 3/5 stars.
I wasn't a big fan of this album, but I did like Orange Skies. 2/5 stars.
It was okay, pretty average. Nothing really stood out for me apart from the first song. 2/5 stars.
The album was pretty good. There were a few songs I didn't like but it was mostly good. It was good background music. My favourite songs were Save Me and Constant Craving. 4/5 stars.
i liked scott 4, but not this one. i did like the song Jackie though. 1/5 stars.
It was alright. Nothing too special about this album in my opinion. 2/5 stars.
I enjoyed this a lot. Every song was good. I think it's really good background music and i will be revisiting a lot of the songs again. 4/5 stars.
It was alright. Some songs were good, some weren't. Groove Is In The Heart is a classic though. 3/5 stars.
This album was amazing. I can't get over how good it is, I loved every single song so much. I had listened to a few songs previously but the new ones i have discovered are now in my library and I know I'm going to revisit this album again and again. 5/5 stars.
I really liked this album, there were only a couple of songs I didn't like that much. Definitely the best album I've heard so far from this band! 4/5 stars
There was a few good songs, but there were a few I didn't enjoy as well. Most I probably wouldn't revisit. 3/5 stars.
It was okay, nothing special in my opinion. 2/5 stars.
It was alright actually, better than i expected. Still not vibing with enough of the songs to add them to my library, though. 2.5/3 stars.
I thought I'd like this album but it was rather disappointing. The title track was good, but the rest of the songs were not good at all. 1/5 stars for this album.
Definitely not for me, you wouldn't pay me to listen to something like this again. 1/5 stars.
This album was better than I expected it would be, but still not great. My favourite songs were Antmusic, Los Rancheros, The Magnificent Five and Don't Be Square (Be There). 3/5 stars.
Did not enjoy this album, apart from the first song. 1/5 stars.
The album was alright, no song really appealed to me enough to want to add any to my library. I could see the appeal to other people though! I definitely have heard worse albums during this challenge. 2/5 stars.
This album is a classic, and I do see the appeal, but it dragged on too long and most of the songs I didn't like at all. Did like Straight Outta Compton, Fuck Tha Police and Express Yourself but not that much. I can't give this album anymore than 2/5 stars.
This album is an absolute classic. I enjoy absolutely everything about it. My personal favourite song is River, but I love all of the songs. 5/5 stars. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
I found this album a bit boring, but I liked a couple of songs. 2/5 stars.
I enjoyed this album immensely, from start to finish. My fave songs are Changes, Oh You Pretty Things and Kooks. 5/5 stars.
Not the best album I've listened to, I felt it dragged on a bit. However I did enjoy the song Hyperbolicsyllablecsesquedalymistic a lot, so for that I give this album a 3/5 stars.
Overall this album was solid. Ella's voice is great, she was really talented. I just feel like I was getting a little bit bored with the songs by the end of the album. It would be great background / study music though. 4/5 stars.
I found this album rather boring. 1/5 stars.
It was about average, the only song I actually sort of liked was Girl from Mars. 1/5 stars from me.
It feels like I stepped into a sci-fi movie. And I'm not quite sure if I like it. 2/5 stars.
This album was really good, easy to listen to. I enjoyed all of the songs! 5/5 stars.
It's safe to say that I disliked this album and I have nothing else to say about it. 1/5 stars.
This album was so soulful and smooth. I loved all of it, but my favourite songs are Weary, Cranes In The Sky, Mad featuring Lil Wayne and Don't Touch My Hair. 5/5 stars.
I didn't like all of the songs, but the songs I did like were very enjoyable to listen to. I can't say I'd really ever revisit this album again properly, maybe just a couple of songs. 3/5 stars.
This album is so silky smooth, from start to finish. I love every single song, there's not one on here that I don't love. I think I've fallen in love with this album. 5/5 stars.
Wasn't bad, but I prefer a lot of Rod Stewart's other music. 2.5/5 stars.
The title track was alright, but honestly the album just felt like average hip hop of that time. Not bad, not great. 2/5 stars.
Wow, wow, wow! Amazing album from start to finish. I knew a couple songs prior to listening to this album in full but I'm surprised I hadn't given it a full listen earlier than today. My favourite songs are Killer Queen, In The Lap Of The Gods, Dear Friends, Misfire... but my most favourite has to be Now I'm Here. I've added all of these songs into my library and will definitely keep revisiting this album. 5/5 stars.
I liked the whole album, but not enough to add all of the songs to my library. My favourite songs are Criminal and Sleep To Dream. 3/5 stars.
I found this album pretty average, to be honest. 2/5 stars.
Prior to listening this album, the only thing I knew about this band was that the lead singer passed away (RIP Chris Cornell). Some of the songs weren't too bad, but I wasn't a huge fan of this album. 2/5 stars.
Not a fan. 1/5 stars.
I thoroughly enjoyed this album, which was a surprise as I'm not the biggest Green Day fan. My favourite songs were Longview, Pulling Teeth and When I Come Around. 5/5 stars.
I couldn't listen properly listen to most of the songs. I just don't see the appeal. The only ones I could listen to were Blood On The Leaves and Bound 2, with the latter being the only one I really enjoyed. 1/5 stars.
Overall this album was solid. Classic new wave. I enjoyed it, though I can't say I would revisit every single song on this album. 4/5 stars.
This album was good. Silky smooth R&B. However, I didn't completely enjoy all of the songs. 4/5 stars.
This album was mostly enjoyable. My favourite songs are Show Biz Kids, My Old School and the closing track King Of The World. But I wasn't that big a fan of some of the other tracks. 4/5 stars.
This was a solid album. I liked it better than I thought I would, however I didn't enjoy all of the songs enough to put them into my library. My favourite songs were Do You Love Me, Have Love Will Travel and Night Time Is The Right Time. 3.5/5 stars.
I didn't enjoy this at all, I couldn't even finish it. 1/5 stars.
First and last time I'm ever going to listen to grindcore. The music is... alright, but the vocals... oh boy. If I wanted to listen to growling I'd just sit in my lounge room listening to my dog growl at everything he sees outside the window. It's unfortunate that I have to actually rate it out of 5 stars because i wouldn't give it one if I could.
First off, it was only a couple of days ago that I discovered a song from this album and I liked it so could it be fate that this album has been brought to me for today? Who knows, but I really, really enjoyed this album. I liked how the songs were indie pop, but at times had elements of folk-rock too. My favourites from this album are The Stars of Track & Field, Seeing Other People, Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying, If You're Feeling Sinister and Mayfly. 5/5 stars.
Another album that I wasn't sure that I'd like. Honestly I was mostly right, but there were a few songs that I did like and I liked them a lot. Like Neighbourhood 1 (Tunnels) and Une Annee Sans Lumiere. Wake Up was OK too, but otherwise it was pretty average. 3/5 stars.
It wasn't bad, but I don't think I'd revisit this album again. My favourite song was Regular John. 3/5 stars.
Classic album. I can't say I enjoyed every single song, overall it was a great listen. The guitar riffs in my opinion really make this album great, they blew me away. Especially the guitar solo on Eruption.... that was insane in the best way. 4/5 stars.
Not a big Alice Cooper fan, but this album was a surprise. Didn't enjoy every song but there was a few that I did like and might revisit in the future, like Luney Tune, Blue Turk and Alma Mater. 3/5 stars.
This band was one of, or if not (I don't know much about them) the first to make music within the heavy metal genre, and for that I appreciate it. Other than that it really wasn't for me, some of it sounded cool though I guess. 2/5 stars.
I'm not a heavy metal fan so I didn't get into this one. 1/5 stars.
I didn't really enjoy this album, I think I liked one song. 2/5 stars.
I didn't really enjoy this album, but I did like the song Would You Believe. The instrumentals were great, but the vocals didn't do anything for me. 2/5 stars.
It was alright, a bit too electronic for me. 2/5 stars.
Very solid album from start to finish. Enjoyed it but there wasn't one track for me that REALLY stood out. 4/5 stars.
This album was average. I felt myself getting a bit bored as I went through the album. Night Life was good though. 2.5/5 stars.
It was okay. Not really memorable, though. 2/5 stars.
I'm surprised - this album was amazing! I was jamming from the very first song. I liked just about every song on the album. 5/5 stars.
I liked some of the songs, but it wasn't a memorable album overall. 2/5 stars.
Didn't enjoy this album. Was too electronic for me. 1/5 stars.
Already listened to this album in full before. I enjoyed it a lot but there are some tracks that I don't revisit as much. My favourites are Head Over Heels, One Of Us, When All Is Said and Done, Slipping Through My Fingers and The Day Before You Came. 4.5/5 stars but will bump it up to a 5.
It was pretty good, the first track was the only one I didn't enjoy. Good background music. 4/5 stars.
Seven Nation Army is a classic. I liked some of the songs but overall it was pretty average in my opinion. I'm not really into punk rock. 3/5 stars.
Solid album full of folk rock. Loved all of it. 5/5 stars.
Was a fairly solid album overall. There were a few standout songs like All The Way and Vanishing Point, but most of it sounded pretty much the same. 3/5 stars.
Overall it was a solid album. Good background music but a lot of it sounded the same. There weren't many standouts. 3/5 stars.
Overall I enjoyed this album, which I was surprised about. My favourite songs are The Headmaster's Ritual and Nowhere fast. 4/5 stars just because I felt it sounded a bit repetitive.
On the whole I did enjoy this album, it was so funky! But I did start to get bored towards the end unfortunately. 4/5 stars.
I really enjoyed listening to this album. My favourites are Eleanor Rigby, Here, There and Everywhere, I'm Only Sleeping and Tomorrow Never Knows. 5/5 stars.
It was pretty average tbh so I give it 3/5 stars. Not a big fan of Missy's voice.
Didn't enjoy this. 1/5 stars.
This was an entire musical journey but I loved every minute. 5/5 stars. I will definitely be revisiting this album again and again.
This was so good! So groovy, funky, soulful. I enjoyed this album immensely. 5/5 stars.
This album in my opinion just wasn't good. The only reason why I'm not giving it 1 star is because of the song Visions Of You. That song was great! 2.5/5 stars.
I actually enjoyed this a lot, more than I was expecting. My favourite songs were Motherless Children and Willie and The Hand Jive. 5/5 stars.
Overall this album is good, but the singles are what really carry this album. Especially Livin' On A Prayer, that one really hits different. Although I did really enjoy Raise Your Hands too.
Listened to this album previously, it's an enjoyable one from start to finish.
A couple of songs were alright, but otherwise imo it sucked. I couldn't get into it and thus I didn't end up finishing the entire album.
For the songs I could access off Spotify, they were good. I didn't listen to the rest, as it's just a generic live album with songs off other studio albums.
Wasn't a big fan of this album, unfortunately. It just didn't really appeal to me. But I did like a couple of songs - like Vicious and Walk On The Wild Side.
This was pretty average 60's psychedelic rock. I liked a few songs, like Lost Women, The Nazz are Blue, Rack My Mind and Hot House of Omagarashid but rest of the songs were pretty forgettable.
Honestly it was pretty average R&B. I did really enjoy the songs On It and The Other Side, though.
This album was average, nothing really stood out to me and I didn't like some of the songs at all.
I found the album a bit boring. No songs really stood out from the others.
Average. But, the song Back To Life will forever be a bop.
I thoroughly enjoyed this album. My favourites are My Own Way, Hungry Like The Wolf, New Religion and Last Chance On The Stairway.
I enjoyed this album. Was solid from start to finish, my favourite song from it being Cecelia. Some of the other tracks didn't really stand out to me, though.
Sensual, soulful, funky. This album has it all. Loved every moment of it. My favourite songs were Let's Get It On, Keep Gettin' It On and You Sure Love To Ball.
I enjoyed practically every song on this album, I just felt it was a bit too long for me. This has to be my favourite Rolling Stones album that I've heard through this time that I've been generating albums (and I've heard most of them).
I see this album's significance in the history of rap music, I see their influence in rap music as the 90s, 2000s and 2010s have progressed. But it wasn't for me, and will not be an album I will be revisiting.
Didn't enjoy this one. Which was disappointing, because I like a lot of his music.
Oddly enough, I liked a couple of songs. Overall this album was a miss for me.
I enjoyed this album a lot. My highlights were I Ain't The One, Gimme Three Steps and Poison Whiskey.
The songs I liked made this album great, but honestly there were some songs that I just couldn't stand.
This album would not be one I would have ever reached out to listen to willingly, and now that I have given it a go my opinion has stood the test of time. I couldn't finish this one.
I thoroughly enjoyed this album. So soulful. I enjoyed every minute of it. Especially (Sweet Sweet Baby) Since You've Been Gone.
I really enjoyed this album. But I didn't think there was really any standouts in particular.
I did like some of these songs, but I just don't think I'm much of a fan of Nina Simone's voice.
So disappointing. One of the worst albums I've come across in a while.
I enjoyed this album a lot. I'd revisit most of these tracks again.
This album was amazing from start to finish. I listened to it twice in a row, I enjoyed it that much. My highlights were Watch That Man, Aladdin Sane and The Jean Genie.
I think I liked a couple of songs, the rest I found almost unlistenable.
I'm a casual Lana Del Rey fan, only this year gone through her whole discography. I enjoyed this album, and have gone through it all a couple of times. I feel like there were songs I liked more than others e.g. White Dress, and so I revisit these songs more often. All in all a good album though.
Not a big fan of this album. Suspicious Minds, however, is a classic.
I can't give this more than a 3, as I didn't really enjoy it. But the lyrics.... wow. They were reflective of societal issues back then and now and I always appreciate meaningful lyrics that are straight to the point.
Not really a fan of this album. Sweet Dreams and Love Is A Stranger are classics though.
I liked the first half of the album, then it sort of dropped. My favourite track from the album is Hit 'Em Wit Da Hee (ft. Lil Kim).
I thoroughly enjoyed this album, but not sure whether I'd revisit a lot of these songs again.
I enjoyed this album a lot. My favourite song was Get To You.
I couldn't get into this album fully, but I liked a couple of songs. Not enough to be able to want to add them to my library though.
Not really a fan of this album. It's too electronic for my taste. Europe Endless wasn't too bad though.
This was thoroughly enjoyable. Soulful, funky, it has it all. Loved it!
I loved the instrumentals, but Janis' vocals just don't do it for me. I can see the appeal to some but for me the wailing is just too much.
This album is soooooo good. I enjoyed every single song on here except one, which is Money For Nothing, but I've never liked that song that much. But it's a classic, and it won't take my score down from less than a five. Highlights: So Far Away, Walk Of Life, Your Latest Trick, Why Worry?
This is one of my favourite Beatles albums, I love it so much. My favourite songs are Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds and She's Leaving Home.
This was a nice album, very relaxing to listen to. Unlike anything I've heard before.
Overall it was pretty fun to listen to. Gives you a taste as to what it would have been like to hear him perform live. I'm just not a huge fan of his music.
There's not much to say about this album. It's really just a live album of Bob Dylan performing his songs, although I did enjoy some of it. It's interesting that a bootleg made it to this list though.
Enjoyable music to listen to. Very jazzy. I just didn't vibe with all the songs.
Listened to it once, will never probably listen to it again.
Honestly i was left feeling a bit disappointed. It all felt very similar sounding to me. I feel like they sound a lot like The Cure. Although Come On Eileen is a banger and one of my favourite 80s songs, so I can't give it less than a 2/5.
It was okay, I think Pink Moon was way better.
Amazing album. So fun to listen to and definitely will be revisiting again.
This album was so good, I enjoyed every single song. My favourites were Goodbye Sunday and Blue Moon Rose.
This was a fun album to listen to. My favourite tracks were Our Lips Are Sealed and Can't Stop The World.
Not really a fan of this one, some songs were okay.
Wow. I mean, what can I say? It's James Brown we're talking about here, one of the hardest working entertainers we've ever seen.
It was enjoyable. Good background music; I was listening to it whilst cleaning my room.
It was nice. But generic Christmas music, nothing really stood out.
I liked most of the tracks on this album, not all of them. But it's not hard to see the significance this album has had on albums in the future.
As hard as I tried, I couldn't get into this album.
There's very few artists that I don't like to listen to, and Eminem just happens to be one of them. But I gave it a shot for the sake of this challenge and still didn't like it. I mean, I guess My Name Is is a classic, but... I don't really have much else to say about this album.
I liked most of it, I just got bored as a lot of the songs were too long with the instrumental solos.
It was enjoyable, but still a generic live album. I really have nothing else to say about it.
It was enjoyable to listen to, but I wouldn't revisit it again.
Liked a couple of songs, but that was it. I couldn't get into it.
I really enjoyed this album, it was so relaxing to listen to.
Definitely not for me. I couldn't even listen to most of it.
Wow, I swore Blister In The Sun was a 90s song. The album sounds like it's ahead of its time. But on the whole I didn't fully vibe with it.
I was pleasantly surprised. Although I didn't vibe with all of the songs, I did enjoy listening to most of this album. The production and storytelling were solid on all the tracks.
This was chaotic, and not in a good way. Didn't like it.
This album is smooth, funky, groovy, soulful. Enjoyable from start to finish. Highlights: Let's Stay Together, What Is This Feeling, I've Never Found A Girl, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.
I did enjoy this album. I definitely see the Stevie Wonder influence throughout this album. And the didgeridoo? I was not expecting to hear one of those. But I did feel a few tracks were a bit weak, and didn't vibe with them as much. And some of the tracks were a bit too long for me. Highlights: When You Gonna Learn?, Too Young To Die, If I Like It I Do It
This album was great. I do admit there is still a few songs that still need to grow on me, but whoa. Racing In The Street has to be my favourite track on here. It's simply beautiful.
I did like most of the songs, but none of them really stood out to me. They all sounded pretty similar.
I liked a couple of songs, but the album on the whole was pretty average.
Nope. Not for me. I can appreciate it's power and impact, but I couldn't get into it.
Okay, so this was a surprise. Sure, I didn't find the album amazing, but it was mostly quite enjoyable. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, in all honesty. Though there were songs I didn't like, and the album didn't feel all that cohesive. My favourite track probably would have to be (Drawing) Rings Around The World.
Now that's what I'm talking about! I thoroughly enjoyed this album. Steely Dan combines jazz and soft rock so well. Highlights: Black Cow, Peg, Home At Last, I Got The News, Josie
Not really a big fan. There might have been like one or two songs that I sort of liked. Before and After Science was a much better album.
This album has a special, special place in my heart. All of these songs are amazing, especially Head Over Heels. That's my favourite of theirs and one of my all time favourite songs.
I tried so hard to like this, but I couldn't really get into it. There were a couple of songs I liked, but that was it.
This album would have gotten a 5 if not for one song that I strongly didn't like (Alabama, if you were wondering). Otherwise this album was good. Highlights: Harvest, Are You Ready For The Country?, The Needle and The Damage Done
I thoroughly enjoyed this album. Although I'm not really a fan of hard rock / heavy metal, AC/DC is one of the few bands I do like to listen to from time to time. It has classics (like Back In Black and You Shook Me All Night Long) and some more underrated tracks too that were really good.
This album was so good! I liked all the tracks, especially She Talks To Angels.
This album was average, tbh. Lot of filler with a couple of standout tracks like The Fun Lovin' Criminal.
This album was alright. Not the biggest fan of Nick's voice, it kind of reminds me of Leonard Cohen's voice. But the songs were relaxing, even if they were emotional and sombre. The song that I really liked was the only one I previously knew (People Ain't No Good).
Bit too much organ playing for me, but I didn't think the entire album was bad. The title track is a classic though.
This album was so good! It was about time I gave this a listen. The only song I didn't really like was Mrs O'Leary's Cow, but that's not enough to give this album less than a 5.
It was alright - I couldn't really get into it. I've heard worse albums though.
This album was so good! I thoroughly enjoyed all of it, even if some of the tracks were a bit strange.
Overall, this is a good album with a few weaker tracks that I didn't enjoy as much. I like how experimental this band got with technology (apparently they used large amounts of it). Highlights: My Best Friend's Girl, Just What I Needed, You're All I've Got Tonight
I don't really know what I was expecting prior to listening to this album, but I did like it. It was a nice surprise, I guess you could say. Although I didn't enjoy all of the tracks, I think I'll be revisiting a few in the future. My favourite has to be Motoroller Scalatron.
I liked the first song on the album, but that was it.
This was a good album, soulful and funky as you'd expect it to be. I didn't vibe with it as much as I would have liked to, though - there were a few weak tracks that I didn't enjoy that much. Stand Up was a highlight though, that song was so good.
This isn't really my thing, but some of the songs (like D.A.N.C.E) were good. That one in particular was a dedication to MJ, which I love to see (and has references to some of his songs).
One of my favourite albums ever. Every song is amazing, her vocals are so raw and emotional. Phenomenal.
The instrumentals were great, but I wasn't so much of a fan of her vocals.
I enjoy this album quite a lot, although there are definitely some tracks that are too long and more of a filler than anything else. Little Red Corvette is one of my favourite Prince songs in his catalogue, it's so good.
Simply beautiful. I loved this so so much.
This was really good, I enjoyed it. But Can't Buy A Thrill and Aja are definitely better.
This was good, but not great. Dusty's voice is beautiful, that's definitely true, but I felt like it was hard to fully get into this album. Maybe I need to give it a couple more listens.
I didn't really like it all that much, apart from a couple of songs that had famous samples of songs I do love. And the title track, that was very interesting. Might be one of the most interesting songs I've come across in a long time.
Overall I did enjoy this album, even if I didn't enjoy all of the tracks. The hits are all good, and there's a few good deep cuts too (e.g. Till Death Do Us Part).
The first song was good, but the rest of it was so boring.
Very enjoyable. Loved the performances and the commentary.
It was good. I didn't like all of the songs, but the second half was way better than the first.
Good, but not great. Very sentimental though which was beautiful.
I liked most of this album, except for the last two songs really. Don McLean is a great singer and songwriter, too bad he's really only known for American Pie.
Average tbh. A couple of nice songs, but nothing that stands out or is better than the rest.
Simply beautiful. I loved every track. Amy was a talented artist that we lost way too soon.
I liked this album. The second half is better than the first. Plus it has the standout track, Sultans Of Swing. I have come to love that song in recent days.
This was something else, and not in a good way. The lyrics were terrible.
Was really good. The songs flowed so well with one another effortlessly.
Nope. Just nope. Incredibly cringeworthy.
I didn't necessarily like all of the tracks on this one, but I did enjoy it overall. Don't Look Back In Anger is my favourite, it never fails to make me emotional.
I enjoyed most of it, the lyrics were very raw and emotional.
Not really a fan of this. It was okay, I guess. I'm not really a fan of country.
The instrumentals were good but the lyrics didn't stand the test of time, some of the songs were just cringeworthy.
I liked most of it. 2pac is an amazing rapper.
Wasn't a fan of this one. I think I liked one song, maybe...
Liked the back half of the album but on the whole didn't really care for it too much.
Didn't really care for this album too much, apart from a couple of tracks. My fav is I'm All You Need.
It wasn't bad, but it has some weak points. And I can't stand the na-na song or whatever it's called.
I like the fact that it's a concept album, but that is literally the only thing I like about this. I like Lou Reed's work with the velvet underground but I can't seem to get into his solo stuff.
Ehhh... liked a couple of songs but this really didn't do anything for me at all.
I'm not really a fan of this. I think I liked one song, maybe.
I liked a few songs. I can see the cultural influence this album has on the music of today, but most of it really just wasn't for me.
This album was alright. Had a few good songs, but I wasn't that much of a fan of the more grungy sounds.
One of the best albums I've heard in a little while, as I go on with this challenge. It was so damn good. Everything about it was so good. My favourite song has to be L.A
At first I wasn't sure if I liked it, but by the time I reached the song Idiot Wind I decided that I did. It's sooooo good, especially the back half of the album. Lily, Rosemary and The Jack Of Hearts is my favourite song off the album, it's length wasn't a problem as I was captivated the entire time.
I felt negative vibes as soon as the first song started. What a load of crap.
I love this album so much, I've become so obsessed in such little time. It's just that good. The first 5 songs.... just hit after hit for me. Highlights: Faron Young, Bonny, Appetite, When Love Breaks Down, Goodbye Lucille #1, Hallelujah
I liked the first song on the album but didn't like the rest.
It was alright, I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Riders On The Storm is my favourite.
Liked some songs, but nothing really stood out to me.
It was way better than I expected it to be, by far. I actually liked a lot of it.
Not really a fan of this tbh. I liked one song really.
Um, so this album didn't really age too well. The lyricism is the problem, a lot of it didn't sit right with me. As for the skits... well, I think they weren't necessary at all. Big Poppa and Juicy are the only songs I like and will continue to listen to.
Most of it was really good, but it dropped off in the end for me. I prefer Simon and Garfunkel's version of Mrs. Robinson over this one, but it's not bad.
I liked a couple of songs but that was it.
I see the influence this album has, but it's not really my thing. I did like a couple of songs though even so.
I liked most of it, but not all of it. Britpop has proven to be a bit of a hit and miss to me. Bitter Sweet Symphony is my favourite song off the album.
I liked one song, I think. Otherwise it was just boring.
This was a good album, but nothing stood out to me really. Just classic disco. But I'll definitely be listening to a lot of this album in the future.
I see the impact and significance of this album but I couldn't really get into it. Did like Master Of Puppets and the instrumental though.
I loved this so much. Cool Waves is my fave song off the album.
Loved this album. I love Aretha's voice, it's so beautiful and soulful. My favourite track is Do Right Woman, Do Right Man.
Awesome album. He's got a very soulful voice.
Wasn't terrible, but I struggled to get into the album overall, I'd say. I liked a few songs, and I can see the impact and significance this album has had on hip hop / rap since it came out.
Average. Liked the instrumentals but wasn't a fan of the vocals.
Easy 5/5 for me. I enjoyed this album so much. Bruce is an underrated yet amazing songwriter and storyteller, I think he's one of the best. This album alone justifies that. Thunder Road is my favourite track but all of them are so so good.
I loved this. Anita's voice is so beautiful and soulful.
Amazing album. Loved his vocals and the lyrics.
Wasn't a big fan of this. I liked a couple of songs, but the lyrics were pretty distasteful at times which put me off.
It was alright. Not great, not bad. Kind of reminded me of Devo's Are We Not Men, but way better.
Was better than good kid, m.a.a.d city but still didn't fully vibe with it.
Can see the influence this punk album has had on music, but it wasn't for me.
I liked it a lot, but there were more instrumentals than I was expecting which I think I would have preferred less of.
Average. Kind of disappointed with it to be honest.
Average. Nothing too groundbreaking.
I really liked this album. The only thing is that is dragged on a bit too long for me, especially with the final few tracks. Favourite track is Mysterious Ways.
Amazing debut. I really enjoyed this album. It's got to be my favourite album from the band.
Really enjoyed this album and the vibes it gives. There was not one song that I didn't like.
I really enjoyed this album and the lyrical themes within the tracks.
I enjoyed this album a lot. It's serious and sombre, which I like. I like how he touched on deep lyrical themes. I also like his vocals and the soft instrumentals.
This was an interesting listen but can't say I'd listen to it again.
Surprisingly liked a few songs. It still stands the test of time. Still a little too metal for my taste at times but there are songs I'll revisit.
Really enjoyed this album! It was so good.
Enjoyed this album, it was very relaxing to listen to.
Good but not great. The songs sounded pretty similar to one another I think.
I liked it but didn't love it. Roundabout is definitely the best track on here.
Not my cup of tea. I sort of liked a couple of songs.
I didn't like this as much as I thought I would, unfortunately. It was kind of boring.
Loved the instrumentals, didn't like the vocals on the other songs that much.
I liked a couple of songs, more than I thought i would but country still isn't my thing.
I liked this one a lot, had a few standout tracks. 'Nothing' is my favourite. But I don't think it deserves a place in this list.
Liked it more than I thought i would, it's a well executed concept album.
Enjoyable with the exception of Mother... don't like that one at all.
I liked this more than I thought i would, even though the lyrics are very simple and often repetitive. I can see influences from a lot of other artists and bands here too.
It was okay. Not a lot of it stood out to me at all. Most of the features were pretty good.
Didn't really connect with this album, but it did have a few good songs.
Legendary stuff right here. Love this album! It's full of funky jams.
Loved this. It was full of ethereal sounding dream pop.
A masterpiece. The lyricism is unmatched.
Good but nothing amazing, I had fun listening to it.
Alright, liked the first half better than the second.
It's cool that it's one of the first concept albums, and I can see it's major influence but it wasn't really my cup of tea. It was alright.
It was okay, i didn't really enjoy it as much as I'd have hoped. Man on the moon is amazing though.
I really enjoyed revisiting this album. It's full of great songs.
Frank's voice was beautiful, but the lyricism and instrumentals were too repetitive for me.
Not a fan of this album, I think I liked maybe one song.
An amazing album with some of the best lyricism from the band. And the medley is just great too.
Interesting mix of genres but ultimately not for me.
Average, but has a cool concept that can't be disregarded.
It was alright, has some good songs but some weak ones too.
Really enjoyed this one, especially the vocals.
Pretty boring, didn't really like the vocals.
Eh, it was alright. Didn't enjoy all of it, just a few tracks.
Pretty awful to be honest, didn't enjoy it at all.
It's pretty good, but nothing really stood out on the production end or with the lyricism.
I enjoyed listening to this album a lot. My fave track is Metal Guru.
Beautiful album, especially the harmonies.
Solid album, I enjoyed most of it except a few tracks.
I enjoyed most of this album, especially the instrumentals.
Eh it was alright, only liked a couple of tracks.
Good but there wasn't anything that really stood out.
Straight up bad at times; at times just boring.
Pretty good, but questionable (e.g. the laughing in the song that is about a man dying).
Eh, it was alright. Instrumentals were pretty good but not a big fan of Queen Latifah's rapping.
It was pretty good, I enjoyed quite a few songs off of the album.
Great, apart from a couple of songs.
Overall enjoyed it, except for a couple of tracks. The three track run at the end are the best songs on the album for sure.
Pretty good but has some weaker tracks.
It was alright but probably wouldn't revisit it much again.
Not my cup of tea really.
Loved this. It's cohesive. Dark, melancholy. The lyricism and vocals are great.
Eh wasn't really my cup of tea.
Pretty good but isn't as good as a lot of his other albums.
Alright, but there are definitely better Taylor Swift albums out there.
This was really good, I enjoyed the progressiveness of the project.
Great album, loved the vocal performances.
Enjoyed this chamber pop album a lot, it was very ethereal.
Eh, it was alright. Not as heavy as I was expecting.
Liked a couple of songs, more than I was expecting.
Liked the instrumentals and the lyricism; not the vocals.
Enjoyed it, but still not fully on board with Nico's vocals.
Good but not anything mindblowing.
Not really a huge fan of this, it was alright. It is better than the debut and Yeezus (which are the only other albums I've heard).
This album was alright, there's nothing that really stood out on this one.
Pretty good. I liked how experimental it is.
I enjoyed the instrumentals but not really the vocals (when there were vocals on some of the tracks).
I loved this. Everything about this album is amazing.
Really enjoyed this one, especially the dark psychedelic sound that it has.
It's alright. There wasn't anything about this record that really stood out to me.
Pretty good, although not as solid as his previous work. The lyricism is great as usual.
Good, but in my opinion not as good as some of the other Radiohead albums I've heard. My fav tracks are Idioteque and the instrumental Treefingers.
Amazing album from start to finish. I love this album so so much.
Not really for me overall (though I did like a couple of tracks.)
I enjoyed this album a lot, especially the vocals.
Liked the vocals, didn't like the instrumentals that much.
I enjoyed this album a lot, especially the vocals.
I thoroughly enjoyed this album. My favourite track is the title track.
There were some standouts but a lot of songs that I didn't like.
The instrumentals are cool but the raps are eh. The humpty dance is the best track.
Didn't really like this album that much at all.
Great album. The harmonies from the three women are beautiful.
It was alright, pretty boring though at times.
Not my favourite of hers but I do like a couple of songs.
I enjoyed most of it except the chaotic Lindsey Buckingham songs
Pretty good country album, liked her vocals.
Liked this album quite a lot, mostly. The instrumentals and vocals were really good.
Really good, the lyricism is strong and powerful and she's got great flow with her rapping.
Good. A solid body of work. Only a couple of songs I didn't like that much.
Good album, fairly solid but rapping imo was a bit weak.
Good, I enjoyed the album, especially the instrumentals.
Amazing soul and jazz album. Her voice is beautiful.
Ehhh. Didn't like that he used the n word though.
Good folk rock. The lead singer's voice was nice.
Not much of a fan of this one. Don't like the vocals.
Good album, just didn't like the first track.
Great album. Beautiful Day is so nostalgic.
I enjoyed this album so much! The harmonies are amazing.
Really good album, it was an ethereal experience listening to it with earphones.
Amazing album from start to finish, definitely one I'd recommend everyone listen to at least once.
Great album, has so many hits on it. My favourite is Fernando.
Amazing, I enjoyed every minute of it. So groovy and funky.
Pretty good, the sounds were interesting.
Really good. I think Layla is the best song on the album.
Great album, has some amazing tracks on here like I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man, U Got The Look and the title track.
