Fine to have on in the background when reading or cooking of something. A little too douchy for me to ever actively choose to listen to.
Got old pretty quick. Just 18 minute songs that all sound the same. Sad cos I was excited about this one
Fine in the background. Easy listening for 50 year olds. Not bad, but why would you ever choose to actively listen to it?
Through and through pretty great.
I find this whole album just impenetrable. I don’t really get who it’s for, is it for dancing or singing or just to make you feel like you don’t understand what music is?
Excellent - raw and almost unproduced
Solid and fun romp full of bops T to B.
Can’t get into it. If me from another time had heard this I bet this would stand out as a great album, as it is I just can’t relate cos I’m too old.
I like that ackackackackack song and a couple of others on here are singalongs. I like the one where he tells his wife or girlfriend or something that he doesn’t want her to be smart and for her just to remain the same.
The Fences of albums. Just droning on and on with whooshing. No blorps.
I forgot I was listening to this while it was on, the musical equivalent of a draught on your neck in a restaurant. The last one about how hungry she is is ok.
Some good tracks mixed with some misses
Unapologetically 80s. So many great tracks on this with some concept/wacky stuff that holds up
I was reeling feeling this 80s nonsense - loved it.
Loved hearing it from back in the day ... starts off really strong and fades in the middle a bit before coming back at the ends.
Technically proficient. But who is this for?
What’s that you’re saying??? Sorry. Can’t hear your words. Is that French? I literally don’t know.
Just a really bad version of this type of music. I couldn’t make it through a single song without becoming frustrated by how terrible it was
It’s too long. There’s some gold in here though.
Too sad. Good music but no fun to listen to.
Fantastic. What it must have been like to hear this for the first time back in the 60s. It holds up now as a clever and interesting album that moves through genres and tempos. Loved it.
Ooft. Not the best. I liked that it was a whole bunch of musical styles, but didn’t really like most of those styles.
Legendary and it holds up
It was fine. Could have done without the minstrel music.
I think it’ll take multiple listens to get into it. I WANT to like it.
In the right situation this is an incredible album. I’m just never in those situations any more. Voodoo People is still an absolute banger.
It’s fine. But who gives a shit about it? Blah blah “destroy” blah blah “weird”
It’s great but a bit sad.
Every single track is amazing. If you don’t like this, you’re basically a moron.
Who is this for? Who is sitting around listening to this? People who listen to this need to be on a registry.
Couple of missteps but it’s great. Sorted for Es and Whiz is still the best
It’s fine. A bit rambling but completely inoffensive. I’d throw it on in the background.
I found it really annoying
It’s good but I really don’t understand all the boners people get
It sounds like fatboy slim, but it’s just not quite there yet
Pretty good. I liked the one where she called everyone on their bullshit.
Amazing. Glam rock concept madness that gels together perfectly.
Full of hits, but I still don’t really care about it.
This is the most boring album that I’ve ever been punished with.
Every song had the same formula:
1/2 BPM + sad piano + snare + be boring.
Too many skits. But it’s still amazing.
Lovely stuff. Some tracks a minute too long tho.
Weird covers. Lots of fun.
But weird. Couple of ok songs but not really my bag.
Urgh. Just sad whooshing.
It’s all over the place and a bit of a mess tbh. But it’s Lou, so it’s still gripping.
Lovely stuff. Not my words, but the words of Shakin Stevens.
Freedom is awesome, but the rest of it is weak boring sauce.
Respect * 3 would have made this even better
Incredible. End to end amazing vocals lyrics and production. Love it.
First year. Robert Gordon university. Garth see flats. On repeat.
Amazing. Just fuck me up with this over and over and over.
I’m certain I would love this if I got into it in the nineties. But I didnt so now it meh.
Kind of pretty ok. Little moany in parts but I’d throw it on in the background.
Nah. Would have been fun if I’m ripped up on something illegal I’m sure.
It was plinky plonky in the background.
Bonkers in all the right ways
All over the place. It was pretty ok but not really something I’d bother with on the reg.
This was great. A little inconsistent but I enjoyed it all.
You can feel the love and positivity throughout. Amazing.
Boring lounge singer with a terrible face. Just moaning unlikable terribleness.
What a disaster. No songs, just a guy pretending to have talent.
Binkety bonkety tootlepops. Couldn’t get into it.
Really Great Britpop - some total nonsense storytelling and Damon’s younger voice has so much character.
I’m sure it’s a good version of what this is. But it ain’t for me.
It was fine. Won’t listen again.
It’s all over the place and everything works out. Love it.
I know it’s quite fashionable to hate the eagles, but I quite liked this.
It was fine but I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to give it a proper go.
It goes from great to annoying and back again.
Kinda all over the place tonally. Couple of good tracks but not for me.
Fences. Total garbage. She can’t sing.
Not their best, but gnarly in parts
Some good songs on here then a bunch of forgettable slow boring stuff too
Good music. Not the best to be listening to over Sunday brunch, just a lil grim.
Its the eagle. But it’s pretty ok.
You’re only supposed to blow the bloody Doors off!
Blues and bangers coupled with some sweet folk noise. It’s bonkers and it’s fun and dark in all the right ways.
Raw. The only down beat is Flava talking about all different kinds of flava.
Remember when Kanye was good?
It’s good music. He loves cars.
Hit after hit, sound of the 90s
Music music music. Stop. Sing some words. Music music.
Lots of fun. What a great voice!
I did not care for this. The music is so simple and they can’t sing.
Bobbins. Just pretentious hippy beatnik noise.
Somehow manages to be both headache inducing and boring
Wild. It was pretty great.
Every song follows the same formula. Luckily the formula is rad.
I liked this. The guys voice is a bit annoying though
It’s good but then it’s all “play that one bit for 10 minutes” and I got bored
Fun and thoughtful and clever.
It’s great. Then it’s the same great for 6 more songs.
Not really my bag. Tinny production on Unfun songs
Right in the middle of uni - great.
It’s probably too long but it’s great
I mean. It has all the bonkers fun stuff of prince just having a blast. Bop after bop.
They knew what they needed to sound like.
It’s not bad music. But it’s boring and terrible and I would never choose to listen to it.
It’s 80s. It’s fine. But I wouldn’t choose to listen to it. Completely inoffensive.
3 bops and a bunch of boring nonsense.
Pretty good. Why is he so sad?
This is a not good version of this.
Annoying voice and terrible songs
It’s just so middle of the road for this genre. It’s not bad, but man it feels so uninspired.
Incredible. Fun in every way.
Her voice is annoying. But some of the songs are nice.
This rules and it’s almost unbelievable how current it is
I was not initially a fan of this album when it came out but it grew on me. All these years later it really holds up!
Nico ruins a fantastic album
Other bands would be proud of this to be their greatest hits
Still pretty great. I’ve moved away from what I used to love about this album, but the good parts are still fantastic.
Genre defining and still fresh today 30 years later. Awesome.
Weirdly flat production really brings this down. It’s also not nearly as fun as I remember it, all feels very subdued.
Still amazing. Even with the filler
Never done heard it before. It’s great
Starts with an all time best riff and has to keep up from there. Awesome.
I don’t really care about MJ
Ach. I suppose it’s fine. A lot of build up without any break.
Still awesome and bonkers.
These ladies talk about sexytimes a lot.
It’s great. If a little too weird and experimental in places.
Loved it. So funny and clever.
It was fine. Good that it was actual songs. Just not my bag
Obviously it’s amazing. Such a sign of what was to come - genre changing.
Panama rulez. The rest of it also kinda rulez but it’s just not my bag yaknow?
I don’t understand the appeal of these records.
Some bops on here, but how much ye olde timey microphone shit do I need to listen to?
The albums good. But you have to separate it from Clapton as a person - since he’s a huge terrible racist.
It’s fine for what it is. But if never choose to put it on.
Funny sadness. Clever lyrics.
Incredible from start to finish. The pace is incredible and it just doesn’t let up.
Hard listen really. I just don’t like his voice.
Freakin awesome. Some missteps but I ain’t mad at it
Incredible. Sad that it would be impossible to stay up late enough to see Lauren hill now.
But bloated. But what’s good is great
When it’s good it’s great
Plays like a greatest hits. There’s not a bad track.
When it’s good it’s really great but it almost feels directionless at times. Love it when qtip is flowing but it moves at weird angles at times.
Better than I was exoecting
Takes me back. Block rockin
This sounds like joke music
It’s insanely “cool” in parts
Man. He’s not happy about war.
His voice is amazing. Lots of misses on this though.
Pretty good for an album of covers
For a live album this is pretty terrific. For a live album…..
The decline of Kanye is so apparent here. Some of the good stuff is great, but man, there’s some garbage on here.
Was not expecting this at all
It was fine. The first two tracks rock then it gets a bit middle of the road after that.
Same beat on every song. Possibly the most forgettable album of all time?
Bit him drum. But some great stuff
It’s poetry. And some of it is ok. Not sure it’s songs or music though.
Everything takes too long
The worst type of music. As bland as unsalted cardboard.
Nice and annoying in equal measures
All over the place and everything is perfect
This is what Thom listened to and said “this is my new bloop blorp sound” and just straight copied it but removed the songs before he released it
Warble warble. Not for me.
Haunting if a little repetitive.
There are germs of ideas here, it’s not as compelling as I remember though.
I imagine that she’s constantly winking as she performs. Pass
Absolutely love thinking about what it was like hearing that for the first time. It’s fun and dark and weird in all the right ways.
Nuts and good and annoying in places
It really rips. Minimal psychedelic jam band nonsense.
I guess it’s fine? Who listens to it?
This sounds like something I could have made when high
Every single track is a bop, but drops a star cos he fiddles.
Little too sad for me, but it’s good.
Strong emotional ties with this one
Excellent, catchy with super remarkable and rememberable tracks.
It’s jazz. But it’s not offensively jazzy.
Obviously a seminal album
Kinda ok. JBW obvi hated it
I’m only happy when it rains
Tim music. Total nightmare.
Makes me miss when Kanye was good.
Really took me back, what a surprisingly diverse and interesting album this is.
This roolz way harder than it should
This is absolute torture.
Wild. What is this? All over the place but I enjoyed it.
Interesting. But not for me
If dry granola made an album. Completely lacking anything of any interest.
As relevant and raw as it always was.
As boring is boring can be
Sadness dripped in melancholy.
Is there a sexy word for ‘boring’?
Every time you think “this is going to be a song” it turns out that it isn’t.
This whole album just sounds like a mental breakdown.
Way better than I remember. Filled with bops.
Generation defining awesomeness
This is a combination of excellent 90s rock and some wild spoken word. There are so many bands that must have spawned from having the access to this.
Flawless. Saw these guys at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange in 2023 - nothing but class.
Slays. Still prefer the other one though
Huh. So I hate Tom Waits? Didn’t know that.
Not as good as you remember it.
It’s not my scene but i enjoyed it
Cool production and some stuff that I like ok in here. Just a little too annoying for my tastes
