Chore of Enchantment
Giant SandThis album thinks it's way cooler than it is. Vocals ruin it for me.
This album thinks it's way cooler than it is. Vocals ruin it for me.
U2 just doesn't do it for me. There were actually some pretty good songs on this album which made it tolerable.
Bangers
Very dated sound, but overall not a bad album by any means. I wouldn't go back to listen very often
One of the best albums of all time. Not a bad song. Literally perfect
I never listened to Elvis Costello, but this album was pretty enjoyable. It is very easygoing which I like. I probably wouldn't listen to this often though
Traumatic
Very gothic, but also not very exciting. Dislike the vocals.
I enjoyed this more than I thought
Very fun and easy going. Not super interesting though
So boring
Fun 50s music. Not super interesting to listen to in a big chunk...
Never heard of this band but I liked the album a lot!
It was okay, but not something I would revisit. I wasn't a huge fan.
70s punk sound. Kinda gets boring while listening to the entire album.
Not a fan of the vocals. Overall decent musicly
Very happy vibes. I liked it.
Fun tunes. Very easy listening. Not very exciting.
Very 90s R&B. Waterfalls is a banger. Wouldn't go back to listen to the album very often.
Fun country. I liked the guitar.
Great folk album. I liked it a lot
Super easy listening. I liked it but wasn't very exciting
Not my thing. Prince is probably one of the most overrated artists of all time.
Too slow and ambient. Was too sleepy.
Amazing album, misleading album cover.
Can't stand Steven Tyler's voice/ cheesy lyrics in some of these tunes. Some classics on this album and instruments are great.
One of the best albums of all time. Easy 5 stars.
Classic
Moderate energy but overall not my style.
Wasn't bad, wasn't great either. Typical 80s pop
Classic 50s feel!
I enjoyed this one!
I liked this more than I thought I would!
Reminds me of the white stripes. Overall pretty good
Amazing performance and awesome crowd. Great album!
Not a very exciting album. Wasn't bad though.
Good sounding album. Not my cup of tea.
Amazing album, a classic!
Another amazing album by supergrass. Loved it!
Liked it a lot
Groovy 80s beats!
Good album had some bangers. Overall good just not my style
I couldn't wait for this one to be over. Lo-fi music beats are so boring. Idk maybe I had to be high
Psychedelic sitar, cheesy vocals.
Master lyricist, just not a huge fan of the music
Overall pretty boring. Would not care if I never heard it again.
mid
Not very exciting
Amazing voice and songwriting. Such a classic album that I haven't heard in a while.
Very funky, but I wasn't a huge fan.
I didn't enjoy this one at all.
It's the black album, come on!
Banger album, such high energy
Country when it was still listenable
Meh, the riffs were good but the vocals weren't great.
Liked it a lot more than 1999, still didn't really enjoy any of the tracks.
This was possibly one of the worst musical experiences I've had the displeasure to endure. So boring and repetitive, almost put me to sleep behind the wheel.
Liked the sound of this one. Wouldn't go out of my way to listen to it though.
Timeless classics with some songs I've never heard!
Very emotional and fitting for what he was going through while writing this. Overall not something I would want to listen to.
Great record, loved his interactions with the audience. Performing the San Quentin twice was a treat!
The album sound definitely matches the title. The album was pretty good, not sure I would regularly listen.
Decent listening, I wasn't a huge fan. There were some moments where I was bobbing my head.
Pretty good live album. Sounded like an amazing concert to be in attendance.
Probably my least favorite doors album, but it still gets a 4 :)
For some reason I thought this album was a lot better than it actually was. Sabotage is a banger though.
Jazz flamenco fushion!?!?
This one has been on my list to listen to for a while. Expectations surpassed!
This would've been a 2 if Take on Me wasn't on this album!
Another album full of classics.
Way more actual instrumentals than I was expecting from a seemingly electronic album. Overall pretty good background music!
Definitely maybe a good album
Pretty good!
Overall boring music. I was very misled by not only the title of the album, but also the name of the artist.
This one suprised me. I've never really listened to much Bowie but wow this was a good album.
Love this album the more I listen to it!
One of the greatest albums of all time. Needs no explanation.
Suprisingly this is the first time I've actually listened to this. I enjoyed the several motifs that kept reappearing throughout the album. The final track is also in such a good place on the record and sums it up entirely.
Reminds me of an industrial disney soundtrack. Oddly unsettling, a good album to listen to while it's raining.
One of the pop artists that I actually enjoy listening to. This album is full of classics.
Amazing guitarist and songwriter but I wasn't blown away by many songs besides sultans of swing of course.
This album thinks it's way cooler than it is. Vocals ruin it for me.
Something about this album feels nostalgic. Overall pretty good for a country album.
Best nirvana album in my opinion.
Another band I've been meaning to listen to. I enjoyed the psych and prog elements of this album. Feels way ahead of it's time.
Overall I liked it, not really my style.
The Kinks just dont do it for me. I don't get the hype. Decent music though. This one was kinda long.
The first non-english album on the list. Didn't expect it to blow me away but it definitely feels ahead of it's time. Some off time signatures and complex drumming.
More electronic... this one was more bearable than some of the others on the list. I enjoyed that there were music elements and that it wasn't super repetitive.
The Elvis formula may have worked back in the day but it just doesn't do it for me. Overall not bad.
Decent electronic album. Not super into it.
Amazing album, not quite as good as OK Computer. Excellent songwriting. 4.5
Good psych album. Nothing too exciting.
Another band on the list of stuff I've been meaning to listen to. Now that I've listened to it I still feel the same way. This album was not very eye opening.
Very strange sound. Some parts of this album were pretty repetitive. The vocals didn't do much for me. I thought the album was gonna be much better when I started hearing some distorted guitar, but then it just fell back to the same repetitive lo fi groove.
Thought the length of this one was unique. I was able to listen to it 5 times in one sitting. Musically some of the songs were funny too which was nice
Overall did not enjoy this one. Tainted Love is the only redeeming quality for me. It was too long and too monotone.
I don't get the hype. Apart from Bohemian Rhapsody there aren't many good songs on this record. It feels like a mix of songs with no clear theme
Not a fan of her voice. The music was not that exciting either.
Not Radiohead's best work but not bad compared to most of the other albums on this list so far. 3.5
Enjoyed this one. Not something I would listen to on my own. 3.5
This album felt ahead of it's time for 1964 rock. I enjoyed it, but it still feels underwhelming.
Such awesome guitar work on this album. RIP dimebag. Incredible album!
Never heard of this band before. This album suprised me. It featured songs with multiple elements of rock that worked together surprisingly well.
His voice is as smooth as silk. Very funky, and an enjoyable listen.
First time listening to the entire album. Would expect nothing less from Muse.
Really interesting project. I enjoyed all of the variety. At moments I thought the album was over, but then I checked and realized it was still the same album playing. Only note is that it was very long.
Still not super into the Cure. Musically it's not very interesting. Usually pedaling on two chords for most of the songs. Vocals still aren't that appealing to me either
Not a very memorable album. Felt very much like I was being rick rolled the whole time.
Didn't find this album to be super interesting.
Liked the mixed emotions this album creates.
This was pleasantly funky and fun to listen to. I enjoyed the interview at the end of the extended version.
Timeless classic
Her voice is perfect for psych rock. I've never listened to the whole album, but I was very pleased. The male vocalist's voice was a tad underwhelming.
This one needs no explanation. It is way ahead of it's time and one of my favorite albums of all time.
Awesome concept album. Ahead of it's time!
I liked this better than "Ladies and Gentlemen..." There were a lot more musical elements that appealed to me. Pretty neutral listen overall.
Booooorrrringgg
After taking a class on Miles I was hesitant to willing listen to this, but I'm very pleased with this record. Amazing instrumentation and composition.
Not my cup of tea. Standard 80s feel, nothing groundbreaking was done on this album.
Awesome concert. I would've loved to attend! The energy was insane on this.
This is THE Osasis record. I enjoyed this one more than I thought. Bonus points for wonderwall!
Good record, also new to me. I had never heard of the artist before.
This album almost put me to sleep. I was not a fan. Very boring musically.
New to me. I really loved this one and can see why the album is called Roots. Intense metal fusion!
Classic metal album from one of the greats. Such an iconic album cover!
She really thought she did something here. She had the gall to call this album music then release the most lukewarm pop album ever with cringe 2000s effects.
Great hip-hop/R&B album. I liked it more than I thought
Middle of the road music for me. Not anything offensive about this.
Classic album, the debut of Smoke on the Water :)
I liked this one more than Rain Dogs. Overall great swampy blues.
Musically ahead of it's time, but not super interesting. Gives me the same vibe as Cream, but not quite as good without Clapton.
Had to look this one up on YouTube. Besides the multiple advertisements in the middle of the album I liked this one a lot. Too bad it's not on spotify :(
Full of classic radio hits. I haven't listened to this in a while.
This was the best of the Elvis albums I've listened to so far. The first half was good then it went downhill from there. Not a big fan of the music, but I can tolerate listening to it.
Good record. I don't know if I would go out of my way to listen to this as it doesn't do that much for me.
Such a powerful voice, and a great album that felt relatively short.
Nothing spectacular here, not bad.
New to me. The instrumentation was good but the vocals were annoying at times. I'm not mad at it, but I wont go out of my way to listen.
Many hits on this. Overall a good listen.
Interesting band composition and chemistry. I liked the horn section.
She really said Queen a lot huh
Turns out, the more you repeat the same phrase over the same beat, the song doesn't get any better. Not an enjoyable listen whatsoever.
I enjoyed this one. The flute playing made me think of Jethro Tull. Good and enjoyable songwriting.
New to me. I enjoyed this album, her voice is great for this style of music.
This album is a must have in every collection. What's not to love about it?
Classic opening track. Reminds me of a summer night. Good album overall, easy listening.
Loved how bluesy this is. The beginnings of Jimmy Page
Epic album, loved how ambient this one was. Very ahead of it's time for sonic ambience.
Full of bangers
Pretty good album, longer than I would like. Some of the songs were rather boring.
Interesting concept that I can appreciate, but musically confusing and directionless. I enjoyed some of the layered vocals, but most of the others were very cheesy and annoying.
This album was pretty easy listening. I enjoyed the music, but wouldn't go out of my way to listen to many songs. Reminds me of the Artcic Monkeys if they were around in '85.
Interesting light psych feel. I enjoyed this one!
This one suprised me. It was so relaxing to listen to. Her vocals harmonies are amazing and the songwriting was exciting. It feels inspired by Heart.
Good funk project. I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure that I would go back to it.
I liked this album more than other prince records I've listened to, but I still am not a fan. I dislike how sexual a lot of his lyrics are, it's borderline gross.
Some good songs on this album. I've never heard of the artist before. It felt like a slightly heavier radiohead album.
I've heard one or two songs off of this before listening to the entire album, but the entire thing did not disappoint. Short and high energy!
Pretty mundane album overall, nothing too exciting here and a pretty short record.
Enjoyed this one, was very relaxing and easy to love. I had heard a few songs before this, but now I know the origins!
Some very catchy songs on this album. Great guitar work and songwriting.
Good, but not my style. Can't see myself going back to this one.
Good album to listen to if in need of being cheered up. Happy sounding dancy beats and lyrics to match. Good songwriting.
Apart from Detroit Rock City this album was pretty middle of the road. Nothing to monumental happened during it's short run time.
Very soft and silky while also relatively engaging. I was thrilled that it wasn't a boring listen. Seems like fancy dinner music.
Musically bland, and brittish :(
Very soothing and interesting. I liked the use of interesting chord progressions which made the album feel like a soulful journey. 3.5
Suprised I've never listened to this one in full. Full of good songs, and a little more rock n' roll than other queen albums which I liked.
Great album!
Good, but not my style. It was a little too sleepy for my liking.
I didn't find this album to be very exciting or interesting. The vocals were a bit stale and nothing was too memorable.
Great classic album, what's not to enjoy?
This album is so awesome. It feels never ending but in a good way!
Smooth. I enjoyed the use of many different time signatures.
This album was stylistically interesting with latin rock, middle eastern melodies, and rapping. I enjoyed the cover of Waiting for the Bus by ZZ Top.
Spooky and theatrical. I liked it, but wouldn't go out of my way to listen to it
Such a great performer. This is an awesome set in an interesting location.
Good classics
The tracks in the middle of the album were more enjoyable for me. Some of the beats were pretty unique w/ a slightly creepy vibe which was cool.
U2 just doesn't do it for me. There were actually some pretty good songs on this album which made it tolerable.
I thought this album was pretty bland overall. I wasn't very impressed, and I've definitely heard better from both artists on their own.
A very long project. The instrumentals were mostly interesting, but at times they were repetitive. The vocals were good, but unfortunately I couldn't understand a word of it.
Sounds like I just listened to a man having sex with a trumpet for 45 minutes... intense.
One of my favorite albums of all time. Cheesy at times, but the riffs are solid and the tunes are catchy. Not to mention the sick album cover.
This was a good listen but the mixing at times was either too quiet or very loud out of nowhere. I enjoyed the spacy elements and it felt a little like Roger Waters at times
They in fact did not sound like they were playing with fire. Long, boring, and too ambient. Only something I would consider background noise, not something to pay attention to.
Higher energy than Ghosteen which was a breath of fresh air. Nothing that got me excited while listening to it.
