Fleetwood MacThis was... fine. It didn't have any of the iconic songs I know them for, and most of them sounded samey to me. It's easy, but forgettable listening for me. 'Sara' and 'Storms' were the only notable ones for me, and barely.

I really liked it! Not as much as "Back to Basics", but there are classics in here. Great variety and instrumentals, and of course vocals were on point. 'The Voice Within' takes my fave.
This album is extremely well put together for something that is 50 years old. It really felt like a lot of Love went into making it. 'Summer Soft' was my favorite track. It was also fun hearing the OG sample to 'Gangsta's Paradise' Wouldn't mind revisiting this album again. (admittedly knew about this album but honestly thought it was Ray Charles who made it)
I am just straight up not a Bob Dylan fan. I do not like his voice whatsoever. It's mostly the intonations more than anything - it sounds like mockery half the time. The instrumentals helps make it tolerable. 'Meet Me in the Morning' and 'Shelter from the Storm' were decent enough. 'Buckets of Rain' angered me the most. It's a beautiful track that's immediately ruined for me with Bob's singing. I've now listened to a few tracks again. His voice wasn't as grating, but the guitar in 'Buckets of Rain' in particular just sounds like a calmer version of 'In the Summertime' and I can't unhear it and am of the opinion he ripped that riff.
Album is a vibe. It bleeds 90s heart and sound. 'High and Dry' seems like a fun song to warm up with in Karaoke and was y personal favorite off the album. 'Bullet Proof ... I Wish I Was' seems like it'd be good for Karaoke warmups too. 'Planet Telex' is a standout and a nice opener. I enjoyed the album greatly and am looking forward to re-listening to it in the future.
Great album and vastly different from The Bends. It was a lot more upbeat and colorful, but also had some slower songs in there. 'Bodysnatchers' was a highlight for me. I also liked 'Jigsaws falling into place'.

I love ELO's sound, and have previously liked 'Mr. Blue Sky' and 'Sweet is the Night', but never fully listened to the full album. Having done so, I'd have to say - this album was initially maddening. Something about the order of these songs, and how they don't mesh together until 'Standing in the Rain' to 'Mr. Blue Sky' felt weird. It made the vocals sound really off for me. I've since read up on it and that was intentional given the tape medium it was released in, with blocks of songs making up 2 sides of 2 tapes. I've also given it a second listen. All said and done, it's further strengthened interest in ELO. They're like a more eccentric Pink Floyd, with a Sci-Fi twist and use of a wide range of instruments and sounds in their tracks. I also enjoyed the second listen a lot more - whether that was the added context or using bluetooth speakers over the headset (or even both) I'm not sure. After some consideration, I think the sum of the parts is far greater than the album as a whole. Initially, I wavered at a 3-3.5 star rating, but think it's worth a 4. I do feel like the album lacked an overall sense of cohesion, but it's enjoyable otherwise. 'Jungle' is easily the worst song of the batch for me. Just... Why? 'The Whale' was a nice find - I love ELO's instrumentals. 'Mr. Blue Sky' is a banger as usual and I think still the high point of the album for me (especially enjoyed as a set starting from 'Standin in the Rain')
Did not do it for me. Not a big fan of this one except the last song.
This was ok. Easy listening, but overall nothing that stood out too much. Can't help but feel like R.E.M. would have benefited by a singer with more presence. 'Sweetness Follows' was my favorite track.
This was a good album. The opening song 'Part of a Whole' reminded me of The Sims. 'Maseru' was my favorite from this album.
Good album. I like their sound generally, but sometimes the lead singer can be a bit droney. 'Rooster' was my fave from this track.
This album SLAPS. Listening is easy and vibes are good all around. 'Samba Triste' and 'Samba De Uma Nota So' tie for faves.
This album slaps! I liked how well the album flowed from one song to another. It got me wanting to listen to the album again and even explore more music from them. 'N.Y.' was my fave. Shoutout to 'Pounding' too.
It was a fun album. I don't love the vocal work, but there were some bangers in there. 'Tonite' was my track of choice.
The bangers are there, but I couldn't help but feel like I only liked half the album. That said, there were some gems I found in here that were outside of the mainstream stuff, but there were some rough tracks on here, too. 'Drain You' is my fave, closely followed by 'Lithium'.
I had the same problem with this album as I did Bob Dylan. Great instrumentals ruined by subpar vocal work. 'Man Out of Time' was my favorite. I liked 'The Long Honeymoon' too. Just wish they were covers so I didn't have to be subjected to those vocals.
This was aite. Not my cup of tea. 'How Long' caught my ears.
This gets a soft 5 stars from me. I actually quite liked the album as a whole and will probably revisit it at some point, but I can't help but feel like something is missing from it. That said, it was a good experience and I'm glad to have been suggested it. I'll slot 'Calling Captain Autumn' as my fave here, though there were a lot of tracks I vibed with and ended up saving.
Easy 5 star. Can't understand a lick of the language, but this album spoke to me in a way that invoked a sense of nostalgia and a desire to reminisce about times long past. It's one of those albums I'd like to revisit, especially with the bass turned up to really feel the music. 'Viðrar vel til loftárása' earns my favorite spot. 'Flugufrelsarinn' and 'Ný batterí' also stood out to me.
It was good, but I wasn't particularly hooked. I may revisit this one at some point. 'He Would Have Laughed' wins for my fave from this album.
Good album. May revisit it. 'No More Mr. Nice Guy' takes my fave.
Solid album - one that comes off as a product of its time without much context. Not quite my cup of tea, but I loved the guitar work here. 'Rock Me My Baby' wins the fave for the energy, along with 'That'll Be The Day'
Darn good album and a classic. 'Vincent' is my fave, but of course 'American Pie' is a banger for karaoke.
I liked the energy, didn't love the quality and the last 3 songs of the album. 'Rocket Reducer No. 62 - Talk' wins my fave I think. 'Borderline' was good too.
This was certainly an album. No faves here. Gets a bonus star for sounding like something from "Don't Hug Me I'm Scared"
Excellent Album. Love the vibe and the excellent instrumentals! 'Day is Done', 'Cello Song', and 'The Thoughts of Mary Jane' were highlights for me!
GOAT'd album by a GOAT'd artist. "I've Got You Under My Skin" wins my fave.
Lovely little album. Nice and chill. 'Waterfall' was my fave here.
Awesome album! Such a vibethat few other albums can achieve. 'Natural Mystic' takes my fave slot.
Solid album. I liked the variety of slow and fast songs, but I think the layout of the album was a bit weird. A lot of the faster songs used similar instrumentals and sounded samey and a bit long, but they were still pretty fun to listen to. 'Livin in a World (They Didn't Make)' was my personal fave. 'Lonely' and 'Black Cat' were good too.
Some aspects of this album sounded experimental and unfinished. Some parts were just plain. I wouldn't want to give it another full listen. 'Isolation' was a good song and my fave. 'Hold On' has a great instrumentals as well.
This was a fun album! I really liked the instrumentals here. Vocals not-as-much. It's a tossup between 'Blue Turk' and 'My Stars' for faves.
This album slaps! I was already a fan of a few of their songs but never listened to this album in full. Great time all around. 'Champagne Supernova' wins my top pick. Anyway, here's 'Wonderwall'
This album slaps! I really like the variety on display here. Some songs felt like they belong in Persona, 'Letting Go' sounded like it belonged in Nier: Automata or Stellar Blade, while others had a drum-n-bass deal going on. I happen to be a sucker for all three. The first 7 songs, with the exception of 'Pilgrims', were amazing. 'Pilgrims' was a low-point. I don't mind the rap, but the instrumentals suffer, which was a huge part of my enjoyment of the album overall I liked the composition of the album and the arrangement as well. It does fall off a bit at the end for me, but I'd still give it a re-listen as a whole. 'Tides' takes my fave slot. I'm glad to have listened to this album!
This album was fine. ZZ Top was never quite my cup of tea for some reason, so it's no surprise this album fell flat for me. 'La Grange' is a classic though and takes my fave slot.
Good album. Ray Charles has a voice that is easy to listen to and steals the whole show. The instrumentals were quite enjoyable as well. 'You Are My Sunshine' wins my fave slot.
Excellent album! Really fun instrumentals. I can only hope that I can understand the lyrics one day. 'Soya' and 'Soko Yhinka' are tied for my faves.
This was fun! Lotta variety here, but I didn't love the rapping focused tracks. 'Dejame En Paz' was my fave.
'Roundabout' unironically hard carries this album. The rest are a good vibe, but were not particularly interesting to me. To be continued....
It was a fun album to listen to overall. It was a good vibe - I liked the instrumentals. Amy's voice is wonderful - it's sad she went through what she did. I enjoyed pretty much every track. That said, nothing in particular stood out for me - hard to pick a fave, but I'll settle for 'You Sent Me Flying / Cherry'
Soft 5 here. The excellence of Christina Aguilera's singing cannot be understated here. She's amazing in all senses of the word. I take issue with portions of Disc 2. It has great tunes, but lacks the cohesion Disc 1 seemed to have. But this album was definitely worth the listen and will definitely be revisited. Hard to pick a favorite here because I liked so many, but I'll go with 'Ain't No Other Man' and 'Hurt' for Disc 1/2 respectively.
Not my cup of tea. Just okay overall. No real faves either, but 'I Got You Babe' was fine.
This was pretty meh. 'Drugs' was the only one I cared about but the rest was not clicking for me.
'Whenever Wherever Whatever' was my favorite track. The album was fine otherwise, but didn't quite resonate with me.
Approaching this with no context to this band or its importance in the music space, this sounded awful. After reading some reviews before writing my own, I can get why this took off, but hoo boy does it just not work for me. I disliked feeling like I was listening to this in a hallway. No faves here.
An OK album. I disliked the mastering, but the tunes were decent. 'I Ain't Superstitious' was my fave on this. I liked both instrumentals too.
So nice, I listened twice! Fatboy Slim is top notch. 'Right Here, Right Now' wins my fave, though I love the album as a whole.
Bit of a strange one. I quite like the instrumentals, but the vocals weren't quite there for me. I may give this one another chance on some different equipment. 'Old Man Going' was my fave.
Actually quite nice. I didn't love the vocals that were present, but the instrumentals are quite fun to listen to. I could see myself revisiting this one. 'Peaches En Regalia' was quite fun to listen to and wins my fave spot.
Straight fire. Loved this album. Great instrumentals, great vocals. 'That Lady' and 'Summer Breeze' are classics, but 'What It Comes Down To' wins my fave spot.
Fun album! It was nice to hear some other Bon Jovi tracks aside from the ones I've already been exposed to, though I could see why those were so popular to begin with. Great instrumentals, but I didn't love the vocals in all tracks, just a few. 'Wanted Dead or Alive' slaps heavy and wins my fave.
S'okay. The instrumentals were great, but I couldn't get behind the vocals. It felt at times too repetitive between tracks.
Loved the playing. Hated the moaning. Part 2B wins my fave.
This album was aite. They have a unique sound, but it didn't quite capture me. 'Kiss Off' was my fave.
Excellent album. Plenty of bangers in here, vocals and instrumentals on point. 'Gotta Get Up' wins my fave vote.
Not my cup of tea. Instrumentals were solid but I couldn't get into the vocals. 'L'Amourir' was decent.
A solid album. Great instrumentals, but not particularly ear catching. The lengthy tracks make it hard to pick a fave, as overall I liked bits and pieces from each one. I'll go with 'Observation No Crime' though.
Excellent instrumentals. I could never get fully into the vocals though. Still, overall amazing album! Tossup between 'Supernaut' and 'Snowblind' for faves though.
Fantastic album. Love the instrumentals here. I wasn't always on board with the vocals, but at times they hit nicely. 'Do You Feel Like We Do - Live' takes my fave.
What an album! My only disappointment was not listening to it sooner. It can come off a bit samey, particularly in the vocal category, but I quite enjoy the genre, so it works out. Going with 'Diluted' as my fave from the album.
Good vibes. I enjoyed listening to this one, though the songs were less pronounced than "What's the Story, Morning Glory?" 'Live Forever' was my take for fave.
I liked the album overall. Lotta variety, great instrumentals, great vocals. That said, can't figure out why I don't love KISS. Maybe it's the dichotomy offered by the way they dress vs. the songs they make? But it just seems fitting despite that. 'Beth' was my fave here.
This was good. I liked the vibe, but I couldn't help but feel like some songs were incredibly repetitive. I also quite liked the use of Banjo, but it got super oldschool Country feeling at the end (not a bad thing, just felt weird to transition to?) I could see myself revisiting this one. 'Deckchairs and Cigarettes' was my fave takeaway here.
Excellent album. I actually found myself liking "Frank" more for being so raw, but this album has bangers all around. Excellent vocals and instrumentals. 'He Can Only Hold Her' wins my fave.
I really liked it! Not as much as "Back to Basics", but there are classics in here. Great variety and instrumentals, and of course vocals were on point. 'The Voice Within' takes my fave.
This was OK. I don't think I can fully appreciate the sound for some reason. Instrumentals were good, but the vocals felt a bit wispy at times. 'Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me' takes my fave.
A good album. I like the way it flows, and the instrumentals are fun and psychedelic. Vocals are a bit wispy, not not terribly so. Blends in nicely with the instruments. 'Barney (...and Me)' was my fave.
Very much not my cup of tea. Everything sounded too samey. 'Blitzkrieg Bop' was the only thing I cared for.
This was okay. Instrumentals were good, but vocal work was alright. Felt like it was a bit all over the place as an album. 'Pinball Wizard' hard carries here.
S'okay. I liked the instrumentals throughout, but couldn't get into the vocals much at all. 'Take This Waltz' is my pick for fave.
Easy 5. This performance was legendary! RIP MTV. Tossup between 'The Man Who Sold The World' and 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night' for faves. Both were excellent.
A good album. I wasn't super into it, but this had good energy. Fun instrumentals and a decent vocals. 'Back to Mystery City' takes my fave pick.
I quite liked this album! Psychedelic, easygoing. Nice instrumentals, and vocal work that pairs nicely with it. 'Give It Up' takes my fave here.
Soft 5. I'm on the fence. I enjoyed a number of tracks. The Clash has some great instrumentals, but the vocals were really hit and miss for me. The energy is hard to deny though! 'Train in Vain' was an easy fave for me.
Nice album. Lotta soul, great instrumentals, great vocal work! 'Four Cornered Room' was my personal fave.
S'okay. Didn't love the vocal work here. Instrumentals were fine. 'Rock Lobster' was the only one I cared for.
Excellent. I had a bit of an issue with 'Moonchild' sounding too improv and ill thought out, but everything around that moment was cohesive, well executed, and overall excellent. 'I Talk to the Wind' was my fave, but 'The Court of the Crimson King' was also an amazing track. I can see myself listening to this again easily.
A good album. Solid instrumentals and a few that stuck with me. I didn't love the vocals, but they weren't negatively impacting my enjoyment of the album. 'Wooden Ships' was my fave here.
Wow. What an experience! I wasn't familiar with the Duke, but this album really showcased why he was such a legend. His group has such raw, potent energy. It's amazing to hear the crowd go wild. 'Black and Tan Fantasy' was my fave here.
A good listen. The instrumentals were good. Vocal work was fine. Nothing stood out in particular, but it made for good background sound. 'Pling!' was my fave.
Excellent. I enjoyed listening to this one immensely! Somber, solemn, exciting, cohesive - I felt like this all came together nicely. 'Come Pick Me Up' was my fave here. Side note, I ended up falling into a rabbit hole and listening to "Orion" - which is a metal album from this guy. It's on YouTube - and not half-bad. I recommend giving it a try if you have any passing interest - it felt weirdly unique and it's probably a lot more obscure than it ought to be.
Pretty good! I really enjoyed this one. It tapers a bit at the end, but I loved the energy throughout. Up in the air between 'Emerald' and 'Cowboy Song' for my faves from this album.
Decent album. Instrumentals were good, but the vocals weren't for me. I didn't feel like anything grabbed me too strongly. 'Magic Hollow' was my fave.
Soft five. This album had a few of tracks that I liked, but also a lot that I didn't care for. It feels like it falls off pretty heavy at the end. That said, I loved the instrumentals, and for the most part enjoyed the vocal work. The first 4 songs were the best and my faves. The others were a mixed bag of good and decent.
This was interesting, if a bit confusing by the album title. I think that overall, I enjoyed the album - solid instrumentals and vocal work. I do feel like it got a bit samey throughout though. 'Is She Weird' was my fave.
Didn't really vibe with this one. The instrumentals were decent, but the vocal work felt distant and overall forgettable as an album.
A fun album! I think overall, it makes good passive/background music, but not something I'd reach for to sit down and listen to. That said, I really enjoyed it for what it is. 'Pacific 202' was my fave.
S'okay. Not my cup of tea. Solid instrumentals and vocal work I didn't care for. 'Geno' was good and my fave pick.
Easy 5. Good vibes, amazing production. Ye COOKED with them beats. Common's rapping is fun and overlays on them nicely. No bad tracks here for me. Definitely open to revisiting this one in full (already listened 3x times). "The Food" was my standout fave, but I gotta shout out 'Chi-City' and 'They Say'.
S'okay, not much love for this one. Decent instrumentals and okay vocals. 'Money' was my fave.
Good. A bit wispy on the vocals but I liked the production. 'Seasick, Yet Still Dock' was my fave.
It was good. Great instrumentals, but I couldn't get behind the vocals often. Not a bad listen tho. 'The Ox' was my fave.
Quite Enjoyable! I really liked how everything came together. Excellent instrumentals and good vocal work. Production quality seemed really good as well! 'Another Pearl' was my fave.
S'okay. Good instrumentals, but vocal work I didn't care for. 'Soldier Blue' was my fave.
S'aite. Good instrumentals and vocal work, but I couldn't behind them really. 'Down by the River' was my fave.
Excellent! Easy 5 stars. Excellent vocals and fun instrumentals. '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman' was my fave.
Quite a fun album! I liked the production and really enjoyed Ice Cube's rapping. The content of the lyrics is controversial, but it felt raw and uncompromising. 'You Can't Fade Me/JD's Gaffilin'' was my fave.
Excellent. Chill, ethereal, undeniably 80s. Awesome instrumental and vocal work. 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' is an easy pick for my fave, but this album was fantastic from start to finish!
Soft 5. I think this album has one of the best combos of opening/closing songs ever, but suffers from fairly lackluster tracks filling in everything inbetween. Overall though, I did enjoy the experience! 'Baba O'Riley' takes the cake for me (but 'Won't Get Fooled Again' is a close second!)
I wasn't feeling this. It felt incredibly repetitive at times, and I couldn't appreciate the vocal work for the most part. Not a terrible experience, but not one I'd reach for again. 'We Float' was good though.
This one was interesting and offered a very... Specific vibe? I feel weirdly drawn to this album, but not immediately such that I want to listen to it again so soon. The instrumentals were fairly basic and repetitive, and the vocal work felt disjointed, but it felt like it really worked somehow. 'Don, Aman' stood out to me.
Nice! Deep Purple brings the energy! Excellent instrumentals, excellent vocals. 'Highway Star' was my fave (softspot for it because of Rock Band 2)
Nice. Eerie, chill. I enjoyed the instrumentals and ethereal vocal work was excellent. Something about it just works, and I'm here for it. Absolutely would revisit again! 'Sour Times' was my pick for a fave.
Not bad. I liked the instrumentals and the vocal work here was better than I'd experienced with "Aladdin Sane" - but ultimately, nothing really grabbed me here. 'Fascination' was my choice for a fave.
I liked the album overall, but didn't get grabbed by any song in particular. It felt repetitive at times, but the vibe never got boring. Good instrumentals and fitting vocal work. I could see myself revisiting this one.
This leans into "Not my cup of tea territory". Good energy, okay instrumentla work, vocal work all over the place. I only cared for 'Where is my Mind?'
Good listen overall, though nothing stood out too much to pick a fave.
Excellent. No notes. Getting this on Christmas was a nice treat. All bangers here - no faves.
Nice. Great instrumentals and fitting vocal work. Not my favorite selection from their discography though. 'Transylvania' was a standout for me.
There are just some artists that stand so solidly on their work that I HAVE to give them a second listen, and Jeff Buckley was no exception. Something about this album felt so cohesive and raw. The instrumentals felt on point, and that vocal work was out of this world! Plenty of standout tracks here, but I'm going with 'Forget Her' as my fave of the bunch. If I had a nickle for every time I've listened to an album (twice I might add!) just to find out the artist left the world too soon, I'd have two too many. (The other being Nick Drake.) I do think part of their legacy may not have happened without such tragic catalysts advancing it further, but it's heartbreaking to consider how young they were and how much they could give to the world had they not been taken from it so soon.
Nice! Fun, a bit chaotic, but overall, the whole thing was right up my alley. Fun instrumentals, and spot on punk vocals. Loved it! 'Die, All Right!' was my fave from the bunch, but they have quite a few bangers in here!
That was an... Experience. I didn't wholly love it, but it wasn't too terrible. 'The Sage' was my fave pick.
Excellent. I imagine this was an amazing Live set to be a part of! Great instrumentals and good vocal work. 'Worry, Worry' was my fave. Loved those guitar riffs!
I really enjoyed this one. Really enjoyable style, nice smooth instrumentals, and great vocal work! 'The Child is Gone' was my fave.
It's funny, there was a certain sound I was expecting based on the cover art that I'd say I just was not getting. It put a slight damper on my listening experience, as my expectations were just not being met track after track. The album itself is decent. Solid instrumentals and decent vocal work. Nothing that stood out too strongly, but the overall composition was good. I just really wish the cover art reflected that better. I'm also open to checking out the album again and relistening to it all or checking out their discography. 'Out-Side' is my choice for a fave.
S'okay. Not my cup of tea. Decent instrumentals, decent vocal work. 'Uncertain Smile' wins my fave.
This was good, better than most of the UK stuff I've listened to on this 1001 Album journey. That said, I didn't resonate too deeply with this one, but I thought the instrumentals and vocal work were good. I could see myself revisiting this album, or Blur's other stuff at some point. 'This is a Low' was my pick for a fave.
Solid. Decent instrumentals, though I felt it lacking at times. Vocal work was fitting. Overall though, I felt I couldn't get too into this one. 'Steppin' Out' was my pick for a fave.
Solid. I wasn't feeling it at first, but it ended up growing a bit on me. I wasn't too blown away, but I did enjoy the instrumentals. Vocal work was decent. 'I'm a Cadillac / El Camino Dolo Roso' was my pick for a fave.
Solid. Good instrumentals and decent vocal work. I wasn't particularly hooked though. 'Search and Destroy' is my pick for a fave.
