⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
i forgot how deep the bass is often at times here its great!! i think the suite on the back side can feel incomplete at times (why does she came in not go into golden slumbers?? same with money and sun king) so its not a 5 star album to me, but its like a 4.5, i think theres 3 better beatles albums
the mixing is so fucking good though its insane
good groove and percussion but it felt pretty repetitive at times and i like repetitive stuff usually, but one track felt like the same thing for 13 minutes with one percussion break lol
i liked the title track and four cornered room the most
oh god i hate the smiths.... morrissey is one of the most annoying frontmen ever (not to mention the racism)!!! every smiths song is like "i am so sad, i drive my car, i am so sad, i go so far"
this one however does get an extra star up from 1 for 'Barbarism Begins at Home' which i do actually like except for morrissey's stupid "ladadadada"
first track was reallyyyy great!! I do not usually hear blues organ in jazz, was like halfway between jazz and blues
but then the other tracks were like pretty standard hard bop which was good but not the most exciting
3.5/5
good folk pop album! not much to say here
my favorite was raised on robbery
4/5
one of my top 25 albums of all time... perfect
holy shit those horns are so loud theyre peaking
this is very fun and a good balance of high energy and ballads!!
4.5/5
Wonderful indie rock album that's overshadowed (and beaten by a bit) by the albums preceding (Funeral) and following (The Suburbs) The front of the album is good but the best 3 tracks come in the last 4: (Antichrist Television Blues), No Cars Go, and My Body Is a Cage.
9/10
7.5/10
LCD Soundystem but a lot slower and less punkier than normal, their weakest release for sure but its still very enjoyable! Favorites were emotional haircut, american dream, and how do you sleep?
First disc is great!... then it turns mostly instrumental for an hour
all in the family is the worst song i've ever heard
the opener was pretty good tho
1/10
the best post-beatles album (though ram is great too)
wow!!! this was really good, never heard of it before! like a chamber Pulp
god bullet the blue sky is so fucking good... rest of the album is great too
wow this is much more dark and slow than i remember.... emphasis on the slow
less sexual pulp = more boring pulp
kinda disappointed in this, went in expecting it to be weird but no its a guy who wants to make weird folk but doesn't commit
wow the mixing on this is bad, sounds like a million things at the exact same level and it blends together... the actual music isnt bad but samey and too long
one of the most important albums in music.... with a tiny bit of filler in the middle
time is one of bowie's best tracks
WOW this is really good, so many different influences in here and they all come together to make a great album
one of the best albums of all time
bunch of great blues rock tracks!
its crazy how much better neil and steve's songs are from richies
big iron is great but they're hanging me tonight is perfect
just too long... wouldve been a 4.if it was just extended versions of the 4 big singles
oasis if they were drunk while recording the vocals instead of on cocaine (seriously though this album is ruined by the fact the vocals sound so bad)
how can you mend a broken heart (10/10) and a bunch of other ok to bad songs
"for today i am a boy" made me cry
just what i needed is a top 20 song of the 70s
same with rush... i just HATE the voice </3
pavement lite but its just toooo long
the best grunge album (maybe AiC unplugged beats it)
cried to fast car like 4 times, but the album sadly falls off after an amazing A side
its nice, but nothing more tbh
avalanches sample though! (of a different version of oba oba but still cool)
it was like a 4 until it ended and a studio james brown track came on and i was like “holy shit this is so much better”
what if thom yorke was frank sinatra
hey this was actually pretty good!! it definitely is repetitive in sound at times but they switch it up enough near the end to not get stale, and unlike limp bizkit and korn.. theres no extremely cringe edgy lyrics, outside of 2000s emo-core stuff
ive heard most of these songs sooo many times growing up, the album is nostalgic for sure. it also 100% changed pop music... however its just fine, and bad blood might be one of taylors worst written songs, but its a decent-ok pop album that gets an extra star for nostalgia
the amount of stuff going on genuinely makes it less free than other free jazz, awesome crazy dance music!
what if oasis was a full band instead of liam, noel, and the rest of them? the songs don't reach the peaks of oasis but they're good nonetheless
yeah i dont know why this is on here... this is their worst album by a good amount, i think the other 2 albums already here (white blood cells and elephant) are the only 2 needed ones, if there had to be a 3rd it should have been icky thump, not this mediocre boring album
why is detroit rock city about a guy having fun drunk driving and speeding
good songs, just too many!! they could have cut off 4-5
a masterpiece in metal fusion... just so good
mostly 70s folk rock stuff but with some amazing tracks in there, cryin to be heard and no time to live foreshadow talk talk's post rock stuff
good but surprisingly lacking in energy (especially compared to bikini kill)
there's like 5 different time signatures in temecula sunrise and the main hook is the drummer hitting his sticks together a few times to some awkward angular guitar notes and then some douchebag singing HIIIIIIGH, TEMECULA SUNRIIIIIIIIISE, and sometimes the drummer will start playing a completely unrelated beat for like a second during the song... this is the most weirdly structured album ever
one of the best film scores ever…. but it is a film score so a lot of the album doesnt work as well without it
