I really quite enjoyed this album. Every song up until “They Won’t Go When I Go” has been really good however I am not a big fan of this one. I particularly enjoyed “Heaven is 10 Zillion Light Years Away” and “Boogie on a Reggae Woman”. “Bird of Beauty” is quite funky and really highlights the interesting sounds that Stevie is known for. “Please Don’t Go” is a relatively strong album closer in my opinion and overall the album is solid and enjoyable! 7.5/10 rounded up to 4 stars.
I enjoyed the first half of this album more than the second half. Thankfully I enjoy the sound of blues music, otherwise this album may have been a drag. This isn’t one of Dylan’s strongest albums but overall fairly enjoyable. 5.5/10 rounded up to three stars.
I’m not the biggest Bowie fan but I can enjoy this album from time to time.
Okay I already knew going into this album that I would enjoy it but I did not realize how much I would. Every single song on the album finds its place and the story behind the music can be felt even though I could not understand the lyrics. Luckily I am already accustomed to non-English music so I did not find it challenging. Instead, the language barrier created a beautiful feeling in my soul knowing that I was able to connect with men I have never met, who I do not understand verbally. I felt their suffering but I also felt their fighting spirit. 9/10 rounded up to 5 stars.
Very fun album. I love the sound of “The Police”. The album as a whole does not feel sonically cohesive but there are so many hits that it feels like a “best of” compilation. Well done especially for a sophomore album.
Great album! I didn’t even know that Fela Kuti had children, much less the fact that they made music. I love longer songs and almost every song in this album is over 8 minutes. Really great listen, glad I found it.
What can I say that hasn’t already been said? It’s AC/DC or as the aussies say, accadacca. Really great rock and roll especially for the time. Not exactly my personal style of music but it has its place (dad rock playing in the background at a barbecue). I personally give this album a 5/10. Rounded down for personal reasons.
I was actually aware of this album from previous deep dives into psychedelic rock. I can understand the hate that this album gets. It’s not exactly ground breaking and really just feels like a long drawn out droning guitar solo. The second half of the album becomes a series of uninteresting covers without much innovation. I am personally a fan of some jam music like “The Grateful Dead” and “King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard” but I find their jams to be more sonically interesting and evolving. If I did not enjoy psychedelic, progressive, or experimental rock music then this album would get a 1/5 stars. However for me, this album gets a 5/10.
This was actually my first time listening to this album all the way through. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed myself more than I thought I would. I was actually surprised when it finished because I felt like it should have been longer. I have listened to “Pure Heroine” and really enjoyed that album. I think “Melodrama” could potentially surpass “Pure Heroine” but I’ll need more time to listen to it. 9/10
Not really my thing. Some songs were good but overall I didn’t find any song as a standout or one that I would come back to.
Theres not much to say about this epic masterpiece. Truly one of the greatest albums ever made.
One of my favorite Kanye West albums.
Really happy to get this album! Such a fun listen.
Love down by the river!
Fun album. Not completely my style but enjoyable and upbeat
RIP Ozzy. Thank you the music!
I’d only heard “our house” so this was fun. Sounds like Ska music. Fun to dance to.
Can’t beat the clash!
