I’m not the biggest rock fan or at least not of this type of heavy rock. I did enjoy a lot of the songs and I feel like people just aren’t playing their instruments in the way these guys were or maybe I just don’t listen to this genre enough. Favorite song (besides the most well known one): Jack the Stripper / Fairies Wear Boots
wow like the weezer song. honestly not what i expected like wayyy less doo whoppy. good for what it is, but probably won’t listen again. favorite song: n/a
absolutely obsessed with how each song transitions into the next the whole album feels like one long song in the best way. favorite song: time
i don’t think he has the ability to make a bad song fav song: tiny dancer duh
mad respect to aretha franklin and her modern day counterpart mercedes jones fav song: do right woman, do right man
i actually am very obsessed with this album. i need to go back in listen again more intently but the vibes were just great the stones are so iconic for a reason! fav song: happy (i think)
i dont like men doing punk especially british men
this album feels crazy ahead of its time. like no one else was doing it like her in 2000 i had loved what it feels like a girl for a long time but my fav song besides that was gone
this album makes me upset like what do you mean we’ve been dealing with the same issues for 20+ years and haven’t made any progress, in fact the issues may have gotten worse. like these lyrics could so easily apply to what’s happening today

not all music can be poetry and not all poetry can be music. i would say this album fits within the latter statement 2 stars
i feel like everyone used to use music as a form of political and social commentary and now i can’t remember the last album i heard that was as good as this and said something actually important in the lyrics
haim gets so much lyrical inspo from joni mitchell which must be why i love them so much.
listening to all of these albums is so interesting because i can pinpoint exactly which modern artists have taken inspiration from which albums. in this case wet leg comes to mind
the persian love song one sounds like push 2 start by tyla though i guess it’s the other way around
so unfortunately i could only listen to one song from the album because every other song has been removed from streaming. i liked the one song that was available. they released a new version of the album so i listened to that instead
i think i really like some of these songs but for some reason my brain was not processing anything so i need to give it a relisten
i much prefer female rage to male rage
why do all these songs have gay undertones but when i searched up don mclean i found out that he’s straight. this album is also so insanely sad compared to american pie like what. and also seemingly meant to be a critique of america as a country which was unexpected but more than welcome. #wokeking
