Popular Reviews

British Steel by Judas Priest

Hell yes!! This is what I’m talking about- the riffs, the vibe, the energy. It gets you going! Will listen to this album over and over.

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles

A timeless classic from the greatest to ever do it.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton

It's Dolly!! What else can you say? Such a great artist. Loved every song.

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar

Again, I am not a big rap fan, but I did not hate this one. I read some reviews before hand so I really listened to the lyrics. The story telling stood out for me. It felt less like a collection of songs and more like a movie about his life. Overall I get why people love this album. I can appreciate the creativity.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins

I thought it was pretty good — the variety kept it interesting, and the overall sound really worked for me. It was a little long though.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
May 26 2025

Always been a big fan of Iron Maiden! Loved it

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
May 27 2025

Sabbath is absolutely killer! Awesome album

The Cars by The Cars
May 29 2025

This album brings back a lot of memories from my younger years. I believe I have heard all but two songs on this album Did not care for I'm in touch with your world. It was a little weird for me.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
May 30 2025

I did not like the beginning, but the middle didn't seem too bad. Then toward the end it got really old and I felt like I was in a trance. I just don't get it.

Abbey Road by Beatles
Jun 02 2025

One of my favorite classic bands ever. Loved every part of this album. It was fun and had me singing and dancing at my desk. First time ever hearing Octopuses Garden and can't get it out of my head. After listening to this album I realized I need more Beetles' in my library.

Parklife by Blur
Jun 03 2025

Not my cup of tea. It was not the worst that I have ever heard and I found myself tapping my foot a few times. The Debt Collector had me feeling like I was at a circus. Very strange. If someone else was into this album and wanted to listen to it, I would be ok to listen again, but I would never seek it out on my own. One and done is ok for me.

Post Orgasmic Chill by Skunk Anansie
Jun 04 2025

Dislike..... I had high hopes going into it, but immediately was disappointed. Instead of the lyrics "Get off me" it should say "turn this off".

Moondance by Van Morrison
Jun 05 2025

Loved everything about it. Very calming.

Sunshine Hit Me by The Bees
Jun 06 2025

Snooze fest...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Horses by Patti Smith
Jun 09 2025

I felt like I was listening to Phoebe on Friends singing in a dark, smoky basement bar. This may have been my least favorite so far.

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Jun 10 2025

Beautiful voice and beautiful sound. Totally enjoyed and would listen to again.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Jun 11 2025

On the fence. I didn't hate it and didn't love it. It had some energy to it so I didn't get bored. The album is a little lengthy.

Roots by Sepultura
Jun 12 2025

I have mixed feelings on this one. The instruments really stood out. Some intense drumming. The vocals were not for me. Too aggressive and rough so I hard time connecting with it. Glad I gave it a shot, even if it is not something I would put on my playlist.

The Beach Boys Today! by The Beach Boys
Jun 13 2025

As a huge fan of the Beach Boys, it was a cool experience- even if it is not my all-time favorite album from them. I had only heard two or three tracks before listening to the whole album, so a lot felt fresh. Definitely had the signature Beach Boy vibe, classic harmonies. Even if it didn't totally blow me away, I still enjoyed it overall.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Jun 16 2025

As someone who usually loves the Breach Boys for their surfy sound and beach vibes, this album caught me a little off guard. This album feels more emotional and less about surfboards. That's not to say it is a bad album- far from it. It just did have that classic Beach Boy itch.

The Score by Fugees
Jun 17 2025

As someone who isn't a huge fan of rap, I was surprised by how much I did not mind this. It has a smooth, soulful sound. I have always enjoyed and sung along with the song "Killing me softly". This album won't make me a rap fan overnight, but I can see myself listening to it again.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Jun 18 2025

Who wouldn't love the legendary outlaw country singer Willie Nelson? I used to think of Willie Nelson as the guy who sang about whiskey, heartbreak, and maybe outrunning the law a little. Willie covering old-school pop standards like “Georgia on My Mind” and “Blue Skies” sounds like it shouldn’t work — but it does. The older I get the more I really appreciate Willie.

Crocodiles by Echo And The Bunnymen
Jun 19 2025

I have never heard of Echo & the Bunnymen before so I had no expectations. After listening, I'd say it was ..fine. Nothing really blew me away, but nothing made me want to turn it off either. I listened to it twice and the second time I enjoyed it a little more.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Jun 23 2025

I went into this album thinking I would not know any of these songs. Boy was I wrong. I knew quite a few. "Sultans of Swing" is an absolute classic. The whole vibe of the album is surprisingly mellow yet sharp. A blues-rock sound. The guitar playing style is smooth, clean and laid-back. I really enjoyed this album from start to finish.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Jun 24 2025

Not sure how to describe the lyrics. I didn't hate it. It was just ok.

First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
Jun 25 2025

Listening to this album felt like Betty Boop joined a space-age jazz band and tried to do Indie pop. I have heard "Lovepool" plenty of times, but it does not carry the album. Not for me.

Dummy by Portishead
Jun 26 2025

Two thumbs down. I do not understand the universal praise. I found it to be sleepy, repetitive, and borderline unlistenable. It was depressing and a struggle to get through.

The Stooges by The Stooges
Jun 27 2025

1969, I Wanna Be Your Dog and Little Doll were ok, but the rest of the album kind of dragged.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jun 30 2025

A few head-scratchers, but overall I liked it

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Jul 01 2025

This album is an absolute gem. The Go-Go's are such an underrated all girl band, and this album has that irresistible 80's vibe from start to finish. Belinda Carlisle is on fire- her vocals are so fun. Upbeat and impossible to sit still in my chair.

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Jul 02 2025

Again, I am not a big rap fan, but I did not hate this one. I read some reviews before hand so I really listened to the lyrics. The story telling stood out for me. It felt less like a collection of songs and more like a movie about his life. Overall I get why people love this album. I can appreciate the creativity.

Picture Book by Simply Red
Jul 03 2025

I actually enjoyed this one. I wouldn't really call it pop music though. It's got more of a soulful, jazzy vibe with a little bit of funk sprinkled in. Definitely not what I usually go looking for, but I can't say I minded it. It is one of those albums that if it came on in the background, I'd just let it play. Nothing made me want to add it to my playlist though. It was smooth, easy to listen to and honestly pretty pleasant.

Ten by Pearl Jam
Jul 04 2025

I never was a Pearl Jam fan. Found it mostly boring. I enjoyed the songs I knew from the radio, but that was it. Nothing special about this one.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Jul 07 2025

Pleasantly surprised I didn't hate it.

Permission to Land by The Darkness
Jul 10 2025

High energy, fun album. The theatrical vocals were kind of a turn off for me and kept me from loving it. If I would listen to just a couple songs I could handle it, but not the entire album. The instrumental side of this album is what makes it shine.

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Jul 11 2025

It was fine.

Queen II by Queen
Jul 14 2025

I like Queen but this album was a little boring and a little weird.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Jul 15 2025

I have never listened to Amy Winehouse before. Was pleasantly surprised.

Blur by Blur
Jul 16 2025

Still not really of fan, but it was better than Parklife.

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Jul 17 2025

I think I actually enjoyed most of this. I knew a couple songs that I heard my parents listening to years ago.

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Jul 21 2025

This was fine sitting at my desk and listening to, but I do not think I would be able to just sit at home and listen. Miles Davis is a good musician, but not my kind of jazz.

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

If you loved it, you get it. Brilliant guitar work and great drumming. No words for Ozzy's outstanding vocals. Paranoid is a masterpiece!! RIP Ozzy.

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Jul 25 2025

That's one hour and eleven minutes I can't get back.

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jul 28 2025

Magnificent from start to finish. Bursting with energy, fun and variety. The orchestration and great vocals make it a joy to listen to. It has that Beatles and Queen vibe. How could you not love it?!!

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Jul 29 2025

I was excited to listen to this album, but was pretty disappointed. It was boring and weird. I am only giving it a 3 because it ended good.

Movies by Holger Czukay
Jul 30 2025

I found this kind of funny. I can't believe someone made an album like this. I am giving 2 stars because I could deal with this album better than some of the other ones that I have listened to on here, and it made me chuckle.

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Jul 31 2025

This is a strong album, but for my taste it is too musical/theatrical sounding to me to add to my library.

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
Aug 01 2025

Great harmony and vocals. Not my vibe

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Aug 04 2025

I totally enjoyed. Relaxing. I could listen to this over and over.

Aug 06 2025

As someone who has only heard Eminem's radio hits, listening to this was an eye-opening experience. It is undeniably artistic- even when it is vulgar or violent. I found it very interesting overall, though the middle stretch of songs didn't sit well with me personally. His storytelling is on another level. Not for the faint of heart, but definitely powerful.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Aug 08 2025

You don’t have to love it, but it deserves its legendary status. It is a classic.

Kid A by Radiohead
Aug 11 2025

What the hell did I just listen to? It sounded like a haunted fax machine slowly realizing its own mortality. I feel like I was being abducted by robots who communicate exclusively through dial-up tones and existential dread. If I could give no stars, I would. Two thumbs down for me.

1984 by Van Halen
Aug 12 2025

Loved, loved, LOVED everything about this album! Can't help blasting these songs at full volume. Eddie Van Halen is a genius on the guitar and keyboard and David Lee Roth really shows his talent on this album.

Kings Of The Wild Frontier by Adam & The Ants
Aug 13 2025

Going into this album, I was already a fan of some of Adam Ant’s solo work—especially “Goody Two Shoes” and “Strip.” Those tracks are catchy and fun, so I was curious to check out Kings of the Wild Frontier. Overall, the album’s pretty solid. It has a very theatrical feel. There’s something captivating about the whole thing.

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Aug 14 2025

I don't usually connect with many female vocalists — for me, it takes something truly exceptional to make an impression. Unfortunately, this album didn’t do it. I found it kind of whiney. "Raised on Robbery" saved me from only giving this album one star.

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Aug 18 2025

I have listened to Brown Sugar, Wild Horses and Bitch before and enjoyed hearing them again. Bitch is a definite highlight. The energy is electric. Wild Horses is well written and brings a balance to the album. This album has a great bluesy rock vibe with some standout guitar riffs. I am not sure if I would classify this album in the "timeless classic" zone, but I still enjoyed it.

Aug 19 2025

I have to agree with the majority of the reviews. Too repetitive. I was surprised that I knew two songs though. That is the only reason I gave it two stars instead of one.

Station To Station by David Bowie
Aug 20 2025

I thought I was a fan of David Bowie, but not this album. I thought it was kind of boring.

You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr.
Aug 22 2025

There's something about You're Living All Over Me that just clicks. It makes you want to love it, even if you can’t quite explain why. Jammin', man!

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Aug 25 2025

Some people call this art. I call it annoying. I love the piano parts. If it was an instrumental piece I could handle it better, but that voice is worse than fingernails getting scratched down a chalk board. Artists like this is what puts a bad taste in my mouth when I hear a female sing. "Criminal" was probably the best song on this album, but that might be because I heard it play on the radio so I am familiar with it. She needs to just read poetry at a poetry slam instead of singing it.

Aug 26 2025

This is definitely a classic, but I just do not understand the hype. It just does not grab me. It is rather dull and boring. I never really give Pink Floyd a chance so this was a nice change to fully listen to it. I respect the artistry.

Joan Baez by Joan Baez
Aug 27 2025

I could not find one thing I liked about this album. Her style does not work for me at all. The worst part is that her version of House of the Rising Sun, a song I've always appreciated, was nearly ruined for me by her performance.

Dookie by Green Day
Aug 29 2025

This isn't my favorite Green Day album, but I really enjoyed the record and I definitely love Green Day as a band. It's a fun album. A perfect blend of punk and pop. It was a great foundation that led to even better work later on.

British Steel by Judas Priest
Sep 01 2025

Hell yes!! This is what I’m talking about- the riffs, the vibe, the energy. It gets you going! Will listen to this album over and over.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Sep 02 2025

Some of the tracks felt a little strange compared to his later work. You can already hear the Tom Petty rock style in this album that would make him a legend.

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
Sep 03 2025

I was a little skeptical going into this album after reading the reviews, but overall I thought this album was not too bad.

The White Album by Beatles
Sep 04 2025

This was a strange ride. It has some undeniable classics, but it also stuffed with a lot of filler that feels like a collection of experiments. The low points drag on and make the whole album feel disappointing compared to the band's other masterpieces.

Vento De Maio by Elis Regina
Sep 05 2025

I enjoyed this album. Had a great beat.

2112 by Rush
Sep 08 2025

Rush was my first concert and I have liked them ever since. Love the riffs and the vocals.

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Sep 09 2025

Weird but strangely good. It is oddly addictive.

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Sep 10 2025

I was surprised that I didn't hate this album. It was a fun listen with some good grooves.

21 by Adele
Sep 12 2025

Going into 21, I’ll admit I wasn’t exactly an Adele fan. I kept an open mind, hoping the critical acclaim might shift my perspective. After giving the album a full listen, I can say… maybe I’ve moved the needle ever so slightly, but not by much. I found this album to be repetitive both in sound and tone. I can not get past her signature belting. Maybe if I listen to it a couple more time, I may begin to appreciate it better.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Sep 15 2025

I think the mood I was in made like this. I think it sounded ok.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Sep 18 2025

I dig it. Sounds like a skilled garage band. Some songs really rip! Also reminds me of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. How can that be bad?

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Sep 22 2025

Hell yeah!! This is one of those rare records where even if you've never heard it before, you somehow find yourself singing along—loudly, wildly, and without shame. The choruses are built to be shouted at full volume, preferably in a car, with the windows down.

Heroes by David Bowie
Sep 24 2025

Meh.

Shadowland by k.d. lang
Sep 25 2025

Her voice is amazing, but the songs sound like they are from the 1950s. Some songs were good, but others had me really bored. I am leaning toward liking it more than not liking it.

Pyromania by Def Leppard
Sep 26 2025

Def Leppard at its finest. Suck a great hair band. Vocals and instruments are on point. Love 80's bands! Tons of memories with this album.

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Sep 29 2025

I was never a huge Prince fan, but Sign O’ The Times is helping change that. It’s an album that really grows on you—packed with creativity, range, and emotion. While I wouldn’t throw it on while relaxing on the patio with a beer, it’s perfect for work listening. There’s something about its energy and unpredictability that keeps your brain engaged. This one definitely opened my ears a bit wider.

Future Days by Can
Oct 01 2025

Count me out. I did not really like anything about this album.

Music by Madonna
Oct 02 2025

I thought Music was horrible. It lacks the energy and authenticity of Madonna's older work. The electronic direction felt uninspired, especially compared to her earlier hits. It just didn’t capture the magic she used to have. Definitely not a favorite.

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Oct 03 2025

I respect what he was trying to do here. It’s not my favorite Springsteen album, but it’s a thoughtful one. I found myself torn. I’ve always connected more with Bruce’s earlier work, but I didn’t feel that same gut-level connection I get from his older stuff.

Oct 06 2025

I gave this album a fair shot, but it goes against everything I believe in. The themes, language, and message don't align with my values. There's a reason I avoided it before, and after listening, I still strongly dislike it

The Clash by The Clash
Oct 07 2025

Enjoyed this energetic British punk rock band!

En-Tact by The Shamen
Oct 08 2025

Not the best album, but it did not hurt me to listen to it either.

Oct 10 2025

I absolutely love this album. Buck Owens is such a phenomenal classic country singer. He has a very authentic voice. The twang of the guitar is priceless and the other instruments blend in perfectly. This album can never get old.

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Oct 13 2025

I found this pleasant and smooth which made it a great work companion. It may have been a little too mellow: my boss walked by my desk and thought I was on hold during a phone call lol. This record is great for zoning in - or zoning out. It was also a bit too long.

Dry by PJ Harvey
Oct 15 2025

Meh. Again, not a female singer fan.

Oct 17 2025

Wow! If I did not know what I was listening to, I would not have believed this was Pink Floyd. I am no fan of Pink Floyd, but this was awful. I am glad they eventually found a different path.

Purple Rain by Prince
Oct 20 2025

Prince's "Purple Rain" album brought back so many memories. I didn’t realize how much I loved it until I heard it again. Timeless music, powerful emotion—still hits just as hard today.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Oct 21 2025

I thought it was pretty good — the variety kept it interesting, and the overall sound really worked for me. It was a little long though.

Rejoicing In The Hands by Devendra Banhart
Oct 22 2025

I found this quite boring. It started out ok but it finished flat.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Oct 23 2025

This was just not for me. I found it to be boring.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Oct 24 2025

Aftermath isn’t a bad album — it’s got some solid tracks and a few moments where the Stones’ swagger really comes through. Songs like “Under My Thumb” and “Paint It, Black” (on the U.S. version) show why people talk about this record as a turning point for the band, with more original material and a bit of experimentation. Still, it doesn’t quite feel like their best work. The energy’s there, but not every song hits, and some of it just feels dated. Honestly, I’ve never totally gotten the hype about the Stones — they’re clearly talented, but Aftermath feels more like an interesting snapshot of its time than a truly great album.

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Oct 27 2025

Starts strong but loses steam as it goes. The first two tracks are excellent — catchy, well-arranged, and full of the group’s signature harmonies. Unfortunately, the rest of the record doesn’t live up to that early promise. Overall, it’s a decent effort with a few highlights, but nothing that really stands out beyond those opening songs.

Blackstar by David Bowie
Oct 28 2025

I know this was his final album before his death, but this album was brutal. It was cold and cryptic. It was draining to listen to.

Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey
Oct 29 2025

I’m torn on this one. It sounds like a garage or dive bar band just letting loose. If I heard this live at some small venue, I’d probably be totally into it. But as a sit-down listen, it’s a bit harder to connect with. It's more of a “right vibe, right moment” kind of album for me. Her vocals remind me a bit of Patti Smith. I respect the album a lot for what it is, even if I’m not sure it’s something I’d put on again anytime soon.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Oct 30 2025

I liked this more than I hated it.

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Oct 31 2025

Pure rock 'n' roll magic. Jim Morrison's voice has that dark charm while the band's sound is looser- bluesy and groovy. Loved it

Black Metal by Venom
Nov 05 2025

Meh. Got a little too long for me.

All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot
Nov 06 2025

I’m not a Slipknot fan, but I gave this album a full listen — mostly out of morbid curiosity. It wasn’t quite the unholy assault I expected, but it still felt like getting yelled at by a haunted toolbox for an hour. There are flashes of talent buried under the noise, but blink and you’ll miss ’em. I can respect the energy, I just don’t want it anywhere near my car speakers again. Not awful, but I’m definitely scheduling quiet time afterward.

Rhythm Nation 1814 by Janet Jackson
Nov 07 2025

Incredible album. Fun. Every track is full of energy and had me dancing in my chair.

Hotel California by Eagles
Nov 10 2025

I am copying someone else's review because this is exactly how I felt when I saw the album for today because I am not an Eagle fan. -- I don't think I've ever been more disappointed when seeing a new album pop up. How can a 43 minute album feel this long?

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire
Nov 12 2025

This album was groovy and smooth with a blend of soul and jazz. It's uplifting and laid back.

Nov 14 2025

Wow. This was dreadful. Was this a witchcraft-themed performance or a ritual on some deserted island? Whatever it’s aiming for, it completely misses the mark. It's a mess.

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Nov 17 2025

Honestly: every track hits, and I’m still a little in awe of it. Love it!

Garbage by Garbage
Nov 18 2025

Great album

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Nov 21 2025

A timeless classic from the greatest to ever do it.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Nov 24 2025

I was hoping to like this, but it was annoying as hell while I was working on something stressful.

#1 Record by Big Star
Nov 26 2025

Great album

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Dec 01 2025

It's Dolly!! What else can you say? Such a great artist. Loved every song.

The Specials by The Specials
Dec 02 2025

Didn't hate. Didn't love.

Jack Takes the Floor by Ramblin' Jack Elliott
Dec 04 2025

Unsure of what to think. The constant rambling makes it hard to stay engaged.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Dec 08 2025

A masterful blend of soul and funk. I dig it.

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Dec 09 2025

I started appreciating Neil young more as I got older. I liked this album for the most part. I think the worst song on this album was the title track.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Dec 16 2025
Dirty by Sonic Youth
Dec 18 2025

Found it a little annoying.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Dec 23 2025

I was surprised I knew a couple of the songs.

Shleep by Robert Wyatt
Dec 24 2025
Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Jan 06 2026

I didn't really connect with this album. I can respect it, but not anything I would reach for again.

Scott 2 by Scott Walker
Jan 07 2026

Too theatrical for me. Again, I can appreciate it, but it is not for me.

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
Jan 08 2026

Parts of this I enjoyed and other parts I did not.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Jan 15 2026

Great Album!

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jan 19 2026

Love everything about this album. Love the blends of rock, blues and southern imagery. I would happily get lost downriver again.

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Jan 20 2026

There were a few songs I already knew from the radio, and those tracks are pretty solid. Overall though, the album didn’t really impress me as much as I expected. Some of the songs feel heavy and drawn out, and not all of them held my interest. That said, Chris Cornell is one hell of a singer. His voice is powerful and easily the standout part of the album. Even when the songs didn’t click for me, his vocals were hard to ignore.

Gasoline Alley by Rod Stewart

Didn't love it. Didn't hate it.

NOPE...Hated it!

The Slider by T. Rex

Amazing album. I will definitely be revisiting this one.

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Jan 26 2026

Not one bad song. Could listen this album over and over.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Jan 27 2026

I can tell it’s a good album. The atmosphere is strong, the sound is distinctive, but I’m not fully connecting with it. Parts of it pull me in, while other moments just feel too dark and gloomy. I don’t hate it at all; it just doesn’t feel like something I’d reach for often. For me, it works best as a one-time listen rather than a favorite.

Buena Vista Social Club by Buena Vista Social Club
Jan 29 2026

I was really excited to check this out after reading some of the reviews. I can definitely hear why people love it, and the musicianship is solid, but it didn’t grab me as much as I thought it would. The vibe is warm and laid-back, which is nice, but it sometimes felt more background-friendly than something I’d actively seek out. I’m glad I listened, even if it didn’t totally click for me.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Feb 02 2026

t’s loose, weird and funny so that is why I probably like the Beastie Boys as much as I do. You catch new sounds every time. Just playful and free. It’s not an everyday listen, but when it clicks, it really clicks. Starting a Friday with it makes sense: it doesn’t just kick off the weekend, it opens it up.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Feb 03 2026

I went into this album with low expectations, since The White Stripes never really clicked for me before. But this album caught me off guard. There are a few weird tracks, but it still was stronger than I imagined. “Blue Orchid” stood out for me. This album didn’t make me a superfan, but it definitely earned my respect.

Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen
Feb 04 2026

I think I respect this album more than love it. Not a miss, but not a favorite.

Shalimar by Rahul Dev Burman
Feb 06 2026
Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Feb 09 2026

This album is a breath of fresh air. It is soulful. The vocals are smooth and the instrumental is hypnotic. I love their version of I Heard It Through The Grapevine. Just great music.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys

Zero chill. Endless fun. Crank it up!! Gets me hyped every time. Still slaps, still pumps, still makes me want to break something.

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Feb 11 2026

Wait... Is this offensive? Or genius? Or both? Not an easy listen.

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Feb 12 2026

What makes The Stranger special isn’t just the hits. It’s the emotional range. You meet characters. It’s the kind of album that sneaks up on you and then stays with you.

The La's by The La's
Feb 13 2026

This album doesn’t kick the door down. It may be one album that if I listen to it a couple more times, I may start to like it more and more. As of right now it is only mediocre.

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Feb 16 2026

I went into this one with high expectations. After reading so many glowing reviews, I was genuinely excited to finally sit down with it. The album definitely has its moments. A few tracks really shine and show why the band became such a big deal. That said, I didn’t connect with it as much as I expected to. Some songs feel repetitive, and the energy occasionally drifts instead of building. I didn’t hate it by any means. For me, it’s good, sometimes very good, but not a five-out-of-five classic. I can appreciate its impact and style, even if it didn’t completely win me over.

Eagles by Eagles
Feb 17 2026

Staring at beige wallpaper is more fun than this album.

The whole thing sounds like noise piled on top of noise. Everything feels mangled together with no real rhythm or groove to hold onto. Instead of swinging or even locking into chaos in a satisfying way, it comes off like everyone is just playing whatever they want at the same time. I get that it is supposed to be free jazz, but this felt less like experimentation and more like a mess.

Sex Packets by Digital Underground
Feb 19 2026

Hearing The Humpty Dance sparks memories and still hits with goofy charm, but the rest of the album blows.

Boy In Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal
Feb 20 2026

What the hell did I just listen to? It was harsh and frantic. Gave me a headache. It took everything for me not to turn off.

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Feb 24 2026

I am an absolute fan of James Hetfield and Metallica, but this album kind of felt distant and long. No matter what Metallica is a legend.

Pump by Aerosmith
Feb 25 2026

I was never a huge Aerosmith fan back in the day. They were always on the radio, always loud, always a little larger-than-life in a way I didn’t fully connect with. Listening to it today feels a little different. It is like a time capsule that got cracked open. I enjoyed it a little more, but I think it is just the memories I had forgotten about. It was good to hear these songs again.

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
Mar 02 2026

This didn’t land for me overall, which was disappointing because I had high hopes. I liked the instrumental groove on Regular John, but the vocals really turned me off. Spiders and Vinegaroons was especially annoying, and that feeling carried across much of the album. There are a couple of decent tracks scattered throughout, but not enough to make this one a real win for me.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Mar 03 2026

I don't hate, but don't love it either. Not sure what I really think about it. The album seems to stay in a somber lane for along time. Feels a little flat.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Mar 04 2026

Her calm, grounded voice draws me in.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mar 06 2026

One of the most badass funk-rock albums ever pressed.

Let England Shake by PJ Harvey
Mar 13 2026

This was a chore to sit through. An album I'd never want to revisit.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Mar 18 2026

Every song hits. There’s no filler here. Just one toe-tapping, head-bobbing track after another.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Mar 19 2026

Didn’t blow me away, but it’s smooth enough that I didn’t mind the ride.

McCartney by Paul McCartney
Mar 20 2026

I found this a bit boring. Maybe it was the mood I was in at the time.

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Mar 24 2026

Enjoyed. It’s mellow, thoughtful, and timeless.

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Mar 27 2026

It wasn’t horrible. Actually better than I expected after reading some harsh reviews, but it never really grabbed my attention either. While it’s more enjoyable than some entries like Spy vs Spy, it’s not one I’d feel compelled to revisit.

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Mar 30 2026
Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Mar 31 2026

It's creativity and theatrical style are undeniable, but at times it feels a bit too over-the-top for my taste. There are definitely standout tracks I can enjoy here and there, but as a full album experience, it’s not something I’d revisit often.

Like A Prayer by Madonna
Apr 03 2026

I went in not being a huge fan but always respected her talent. The album started strong and pulled me in right away. There was a real sense of nostalgia, and for a moment I thought my opinion of her might be changing. However, after the first few tracks, the momentum faded. I tend to prefer Madonna’s more upbeat, energetic songs, and the slower material here didn’t hold my attention as much. Overall, it had its moments, but it ended up losing my interest as it went on.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Apr 06 2026

While the energy is there, I found myself wishing for the cleaner, tighter feel of studio versions. It also runs a bit long for my taste, which made it harder to stay engaged all the way through. Not bad, but I’d rather listen to their studio work.

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Apr 07 2026

Salsa rhythms. I liked it. I felt like I was on vacation.

Feast of Wire by Calexico
Apr 10 2026

Not every song completely hooked me, but overall it is a pretty tasty mix. Part road trip soundtrack, part vintage cocktail hour. Not an album I would play all the way through again, but I enjoyed the one time listen.

The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan
Apr 30 2026

Not my thing. It wasn't horrible. I was going to give it a 1, but I like Cars.

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
May 01 2026

Wow! Just wow! That voice! I didn’t know a human throat could sound like that without filing a workers’ comp claim. On the bright side, it did give me confidence because if that counts as singing, my shower concerts are officially Grammy-worthy.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
May 07 2026

Because it is Cheap Trick- 5 (love them) Because it is live- 2 Quality and sound- 3.5 (rounding up)

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
May 11 2026

I am either getting used to Pink Floyd or this one one was not too bad. One of his better ones.

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
May 14 2026

I enjoyed the songs itself, but most of them I like the original better

Headquarters by The Monkees
May 20 2026

Growing up with The Monkees absolutely changes the experience. The songs are tied to personalities, humor, and memories. It is pure fun and I think it was made with heart. I love every song.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
May 22 2026

I like Blondie songs. First time hearing this album.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
May 25 2026

Great riffs, great groove, and pure attitude. Billy Gibbons’ guitar work is incredible from start to finish.

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
May 28 2026

Pure late ’90s pop perfection. From the second the title track kicks in, the album never loses its energy. Britney Spears became the sound of a generation with this record. Catchy hooks, huge choruses, and undeniable charisma on every track. It’s fun, confident, and impossible not to sing along to. This album helped define teen pop for years to come. And honestly, she is Britney Bitch, an absolute pop icon from the very beginning.

1977 by Ash
May 29 2026

This has such a great youthful energy, and knowing the band members were still in their teens when they recorded it makes the album even more enjoyable.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Jun 01 2026

Her voice does become a little annoying in some of the songs, but it's emotional honesty makes it one of the defining albums of the ‘90s. It is relatable frustration.

LP1 by FKA twigs
Jun 03 2026
Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Jun 05 2026

Too long of an album. It was not bad, but nothing I would listen to again.

Jun 09 2026

It's mother-f'n Elton John doing what only Elton can do. Huge melodies. "Bennie and the Jets" is an absolute classic, and "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding" opens the album with a level of class and ambition that still sounds incredible decades later. Nearly every track feels iconic. One of the greatest albums of the 1970s and a must-hear for any music fan.

Jun 12 2026

This album has a few standout moments, but I’ve never understood the near-universal praise it receives. I tried listening with an open mind, yet most of it just felt good rather than groundbreaking. I’ve always preferred U2’s earlier, rawer sound, which had more energy. It’s an enjoyable record, but for me it doesn’t quite live up to its legendary reputation.

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Jun 15 2026

I know many people criticize his raspy, almost mumbled vocal style, but I've always felt it gives his music authenticity and emotion. Something about his voice just resonates with me. The album is packed with energy, and I especially love the rich instrumentation. The piano and layered arrangements add so much character to every song. Most of the tracks are excellent, with Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out being my biggest surprise and probably one my favorites on this album. I can't believe I had never really heard it before. Of course, the title track Born to Run is an undeniable classic that still holds up. The only song that didn't connect with me was Meeting Across the River, which keeps this from earning a full five stars in my book. Even so, it's a fantastic album.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Jun 18 2026

Bon Scott is the man!! This album is pure perfection. I think this album launched AC/DC into super stardom. Too bad it was Bon's final masterpiece. This is one of my all time favorite albums ever recorded.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Jun 24 2026

I am certain that I am not a Radiohead fan and never will be.

Metallica by Metallica
Jun 25 2026

As a huge Metallica fan, it almost makes me cry to see so many bad reviews. I honestly think this album is legendary. Sure, some people say it's more commercial or dated compared to their earlier thrash records, but that doesn't take away from how incredible these songs are. Kirk absolutely shreds, and James Hetfield is simply one of the most talented front men in metal. I just love, love, love his voice and songwriting. From start to finish, this album is packed with unforgettable riffs and songs that still hit just as hard today. It's an absolute banger and easily one of my all-time favorite albums.

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Jun 26 2026

I think I appreciate this album more than I actually enjoyed. It just didn't fully grab me. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. It is creative and sometimes engaging, but most of it seemed dated. Overall, it was an okay listen.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Jun 29 2026

The extended jams often felt repetitive and dragged on longer than necessary. Not one I will revisit again.

Tapestry by Carole King
Jul 07 2026

Not bad. I recognized a lot of the songs, but I never realized they were her songs. I believe most of the ones I heard before were covered by someone else.

Jul 08 2026

It's an enjoyable listen with plenty of creativity and energy, just not one I find myself coming back to as often as Queen's best work.

Shaft by Isaac Hayes
Jul 10 2026

Nice to listen to at work, but nothing that I would listen to outside of work on my own.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jul 14 2026

A solid album that I really enjoy. Cinnamon Girl has always been one of my all-time favorite songs, and it's easily the highlight for me. The rest of the album is consistently good with Neil Young's signature sound, making it one I'll happily come back to.

Jul 15 2026

This was not my cup of tea. It was ok. Just found it a bit boring.

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Jul 20 2026

Good album!

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jul 21 2026
Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock
Jul 22 2026

When judging an album like this, I think it's worth separating the artist's personal views or politics from the music itself. If we evaluated every musician based solely on their personality or beliefs, we'd end up dismissing a lot of influential records across every genre. To me, this record was the best of three worlds, blending country, rap, and rock and Kid Rock helped lay the foundation for country rap. Great album! Only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the album was a little too long.

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Jul 27 2026

Ray Charles is a "Genius". I enjoyed this album. It had big-band jazz, R&B, pop, and soul. The brass is outstanding and Ray's voice has swagger.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Jul 28 2026

I enjoyed the acoustic and folk like sound. I have always been a fan of Led Zeppelin.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Aug 03 2026

Did not grab my attention. I kept looking to see if it was about over yet. I thought I was on a long elevator ride.

Two Dancers by Wild Beasts
Aug 05 2026

This was not the worst album on the list, but every song blended into the next until it became one long, beige soundtrack.

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg
Aug 07 2026

Pleasant surprise and definitely better than I expected.

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Aug 13 2026

American Dream? More like American Nap!

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Aug 17 2026

Pretty solid album with some really good songs. I’ve always liked Dire Straits, and this one definitely has its moments. As for people knocking stars off because of the homophobic slur in Money for Nothing, seriously? Read the backstory to the song. The song is narrated from the perspective of a blue-collar guy watching rock stars on TV, not necessarily Knopfler expressing his own views. Knopfler wrote the song after overhearing a worker in a New York appliance store complaining about MTV. The offensive language is part of that character and the satire.
