Astral Weeks
Van MorrisonDisjointed, warbly, inconsistent. Jazz backing is musically effective, but the vocal performance does not track well. Lyrics forgettable. 2.

Compelling sound, at risk of becoming repetitive. Some memorable lyrics. Well synced range of instruments. No Cars Go favourite track. 3.
Very classic rock, enjoyable, though became repetitive towards the end. 3.
Eerie vibe, fell into the rhythm as the album progressed, though no particular highs at first. Glory Box achieves that peak, perhaps too late. Worth another listen. 3.
Heavy. Sometimes too heavy. Catchy in an (un/)enjoyable way. 2.5.
Tried to like it. Not for me. 2.
Varied, refreshing and catchy. 4.
Only grabbed me towards the end. 3.
Turns out proto punk is not for me. 2.
Enjoyed the folk influences more than the core rock sound. 3.
First hidden gem feeling. preferred the softer tracks. 3.5.
An instructive process in teaching me I may not like alt rock very much.
Enjoyable and varied sound. 4.
I didn't enjoy the voices in tandem, which is quite the issue for a duet. 2.
Listened on a hike - strangely therapeutic. 4.
Fun moments, very enjoyable. 4.
Nothing objectively bad, but I find that style of 80s sound tiring. 3.
Dreary. 2
Enjoyed more than I thought I would. 3.
Dragged on a tad, slightly too aimless for me. 3.
Solid 3. Nothing much to say.
Quite something for a debut, but not for me. 3.
