Harvest by Neil Young
Oct 23 2023

Decent album. Heart of Gold and Words are classics of course, but what really stole the show for me was A Man Needs A Maid. Genuinely hilarious and almost anachronistic, a goofily serious juxtaposition against Neil's voice.

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Oct 24 2023

Very interesting and personable psychedelia. It feels like this album probably influenced a lot of the more modern groups I'm more well versed in. Very approachable and enjoyable, honestly sorta feels like Duncan Trussell in a way.

Oct 26 2023

A landmark album for a reason, laid the groundwork for a ton of different acts across the eventual rock/indie/psychedelic landscape. Even now it still sounds like a modern album, and you can tell groups like Tame Impala take a lot of their influence from this sound

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Oct 27 2023

Cowboy Bebop in Africa!

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Oct 31 2023

Nice ethereal background indie

Blur by Blur
Nov 01 2023

Having only known 'song 2', this very long album was also surprisingly wide ranging as well, spanning quite the variety of sonic textures. Most often though, I got hints of Gorillaz

The Yes Album by Yes
Nov 02 2023

A solid classic album, but does not catch my ear particularly, it all sorta runs together for me

Idlewild by Everything But The Girl
Nov 03 2023

Easy listening uplifting 80s

Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Nov 09 2023

The soundtrack to the South Park goths!

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Nov 10 2023

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Nov 13 2023

Innovative, catchy and modern. Truly expressive masterpiece

Graceland by Paul Simon
Nov 14 2023

Very diverse sound, with a consistent storytelling aspect to the songwriting

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Nov 15 2023

The album shares the same sentimental Girl From Ipanema feel all throughout it, a nice easy listen

Achtung Baby by U2
Nov 16 2023

Helloooo hellooooooo At times, a bit dull/bland rock, but some genuine shining moments of creative intensity and approach

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Nov 17 2023

Innovative and fun, full of energy and youth. California, California, California

#1 Record by Big Star
Nov 22 2023

Middle of the road soft rock

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Nov 23 2023

Classic for a reason, an innovative rock landscape scouring through a Dark Souls-esque English world!

Metallica by Metallica
Nov 28 2023

For the consistency of their sound, a surprisingly diverse range on the album. The final song is a very modern sounding banger

Orbital 2 by Orbital
Nov 29 2023

Experimental in a genuinely engaging and interesting way. Can see how this set the tone for a massive portion of modern electronic music, well worth a re-listen

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Dec 15 2023

An interesting and engaging, almost conversational feeling classical performance

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Dec 18 2023

Always have had a love hate relationship with the beastie boys, but aside from a few standouts, the album on the whole was a lot less cheesey than I expected. Not bad

Dec 19 2023

slamma jamma

Dec 20 2023

Pretty good album, and strong start, but kinda forgettable overall

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Dec 22 2023

Enjoyable and unique, Leonard's voice contributes a cool niche sound, but it would be nice to see some more variety in his delivery and less of a one-trick-pony approach
