Classic country, about as country as I can go. But listenable.
Not my thing at all. Lasted 3 songs
Not my style, but I understand it’s significance and value
Had heard this before and it's decent, but really Take Me Out is THE JAM here, with most of the rest being...ok.
Good album 💿 d not heard before
Such a classic have listened to it dozens and dozens of times over the years. I Looked At You is an all time fave underrated tune.
Don’t recall listening to this one before. Solid
It's "OK" I like the middle eastern/world influence but it's not really relaxing/grooving OR jamming.
Great album, owned the disc, good to be reminded of this one.
Good listen but it’s manly the weight & chest fever…
Struggled through this. Reminded my of a reporter friend in the early 90s, a guy who was all about this band. Never got that.
Second paul Simon only a couple dozen albums in - first repeat artist. Have listened to this one hundreds of times. All time classic & THE INTRO to African jams.
My parents has this vinyl when I was a kid and I spun it in HS and college. Great harmonies and that classic CSN.
Never listened before but of course heard lots of the tunes. Solid & a good example of why this exercise is good.
Bright back funny memories and still resonates strongly lyrically
Not my thing. Didn’t make it thru it.
Definitely not my thing…couldn’t do it. But I tried….
classic and a great listen to revisit
Wow! Didn’t expect to see this one….
Didn’t make it thru. Too much of a mix of kenny g, índigo girls & Ben fold, none of which i like. Tried listening while starting a work day & it hot off to a goober-y start.
Well, they intrigued me right away with the “Teenage Head” title, as this a.m. my 18 yr old son was prattling on about being excited to “get back on the creatine,” i said muttered to myself “damned teenage brain.”
& comin off of the 1001 suggested
Everything But The Girl listen, this was a welcome change. Heard off them before and maybe listened once (maybe in the last 6 mo after seeing the name in Creem) before. Some kinda Stones Exile/iggy reminiscent vibes to start.
“shakin all over” cover definitely caught my ear, “that’ll be the day” not as much.
The run of covers at the end isn’t bad, just all sounds kinda the same. Makes me curious about the band’s later efforts, which I may check out.
After the album, Spotty fed me “Shake Some Action” next, which I think I may have heard a long time ago. It’s “ok”
This band aligns with The Pretty Things in terms of really old bands I never discovered before - highlighting the value of this exercise.
Never listened to this in entirety, heard a bunch of the songs, obviously. Good album. Not as good as brick rd tho
Great album, good to revisit. Hope you’re feeling better is one of my fave Santana songs off the beaten path & mothers daughter.
Best rhcp album, last of the really good ones
Wanted to listen to this band as I’d never heard before but they were highly regarded in Creem. It’s ok
One of the albums I have downloaded on the phone!
Pretty good chill/spacey tunes I’d never heard of
Never listened to an entire Elvis album til now. It's about what I recalled of Elvis. Flashing back to Brian Logan's house the day Elvis died and his mom flipping out....
Probably listened to this in its entirety ack in college. Good one.
Never heard this and don’t really recall hearing any of the songs. Interesting but not my style.
Like Oasis light, which is not really worth it.
One of my most listened to albums proffered thus far. A complete classic start to finish.
Great classic album that reminds me I don't listen to Frank enough.
Heard of band but didn’t know anything about them. Album was meh.
