First impression - Why is this album 2 hours long? Has quite a few amazing tracks in here, great production. Only complaint is in its length. After doing research i can see why they included apple jam at the time but i feel like cutting that out makes this a more enjoyable repeat listen. Still give it a spin though first time through. Not a 5 for me but i can see why people would give it such a rating 4/5

The Mars Volta comes out swinging with a tremendous 10 song trip that has some great hooks and melodies hearkening back to the forefathers in the genre. I can see some people not enjoying the longer instrumental passages and the overall length but to me its perfect. 5/5

Songs bleed together and lyrics are all over the place. I'm sure with more listens it will click better but it's just not a very interesting listen
