My first thought was this was just some early electronica until I read the blurb. A lot of the songs start well imo but devolve into discordant notes and chaos (but not in a cool way). Still by the end of it I'm curious about if maybe there's bands that do it better? or maybe I just start skipping songs when they get messy... Not really a fan of hip hop and I'll admit I've never sat down and listened to any Jay-Z stuff. Not bad actually. There's enough interesting musical arrangements in the background to keep me from skipping the songs.
