Christine and the QueensIt's fine. Seems like there are better choices out there, but I could see this being a flash in the pan for certain people. Not great staying power.

Every song sounds the same and that's not a good thing. Without sounding too pretentious, this is music for morons.
Fun listen. I can get why people think it's boring and it is a little long but all in all, a solid album.
Good indie rock. Finally grew on me as a band.
The next four albums are better but still a great debut. Brian Eno brought out the best and weirdest part of them. If not for the rest of their career, this would've been remembered as a fun and forgotten oddity.
This was a refreshing album when it came out, though it does get a little boring. Still a fun listen.
This album is why I use lists like this. So good.
This might hold the record for most songs used in commercials. I mean, sure there's lots of huge songs that I loved when I was 12 but they've almost moved from being songs to something else entirely. I can imagine this being a huge deal when it came out but now it feels old hat.
One of my favorite albums. Lots of hits, album cuts are great, not really any duds.
Pretty good album. Lot of sad sack romantic lines. Honestly, probably doesn't need to be on this list.
I've always felt like this wasn't a punk album, mainly because it's actually good and not just shouting about how hard it is to be 14. It's loaded with great songs, even though usually double albums peter out this one stays strong. I would say this is more ska/rock/pop than punk but it's also a great album.
Sounds a little dated, as all groundbreaking albums tend to. I feel like post punk only got better or maybe I just really like Wire. Passable enough but I don't think I'll be returning to this well.
The only thing I don't like about this album is that you can only listen to it for the first time once. One of the greatest of the 21st century, so much to love about this and not just because I'm from Chicago. The stories are so layered that you can easily put yourself there. The instrumentation is unexpected. Watch the concert from Austin city limits and it's even better.
If this wasn't a double album, this could be his Thriller. It has about the same amount of hits that are still in constant rotation but is bogged down by the deep cuts. That being said, I do love this album and like all those songs.
I can't see what's not to like about this. A perfect album, especially when placed in context with it's release. This has been in steady rotation for me since I first heard it. It's usually something I listen to in private so I can really focus on it. If you can't appreciate this, you don't like music.
One of my favorite albums, the two sides work almost as separate pieces. The second half is definitely more challenging but so worth it. Kate Bush is a genius and this is her masterpiece.
It's fine. Seems like there are better choices out there, but I could see this being a flash in the pan for certain people. Not great staying power.
Once I was in a car with my parents while Black Hole Sun was on the radio and my mom called this music to commit suicide to. How right she was. A much stronger album than I remember it being and I'm not huge on grunge or heavy metal in general.
It's whatever. Not an essential listen.
Not really for me but still highly influential and unique
Way better than I remember. I'm more partial to the softer, album cuts than the over played mega hits. Still too long though, as all double albums are. If this was a tight ten or twelve songs, would be a five star.
I thought I would like this but it feels like I'm trapped in a department store. Every song virtually sounds the same. Not worth being on this list, or really being an album.
Great album! Solid rock grooves, lives up to it's potential. The album that so many wannabes dream of
Holds up way better than almost every other 90s hip hop since there's not skits bogging it down.
Not really my style. It runs on too long and doesn't really progress. I've had tons of friends swear by him but I've never really got it.
Actually better than I expected. Prob not a must listen but not bad. The pussycat song is insane.
Punk sucks. The only nice part of this album was that it was short, competitively.
It's fine
Not bad
Look, I get hating U2. I was there for years, having come up when they were the lamest, most overblown, self important thing on Earth. That's where they stand today. But they had a run of pretty solid albums. Eno and Lanois bring out the best in them. Sure, they're basically Coldplay but a huge hit is that for a reason. This album holds up better than it should, even though it runs it's course as all of their albums do. There's not really a skippable song though.
So I like jazz and I like old country but this just seemed like old pop music. Maybe at the time it was revelatory but it just seemed like old forgotten songs. I would much rather listen to many of the originals.
While Eno and Roxy Music both got better throughout the rest of the decade, this is still a great album. I haven't listened to it in some time and was amazed at how great it still sounds.
I've always just thought this album was okay
Great album. Wu Tang is somehow both huge and under appreciated. They avoid the dumb skits so common in 90s rap, especially in West Coast, in favor of movie samples, which holds up much better. The beats, the flow, the lines, all excellent.
It has it's moments but can't hold up to anything by the Smiths. He's best when he's held back
Some real banger stuff, but kinda runs on too long. This is as prog as I can get
I'm not a huge fan of 90s alternative or grunge or that whole scene in general but whenever I listen to Hole, I'm always surprised at how much I like it. It's the right balance of everything and plays itself better than expected.
This is an album I've come back to many times. It's solid but there's better
Solid stuff, even if there's a few filler tracks
An album that takes time to grow on you. This took me about 5 listens over fifteen years before it clicked and now I suggest it to people who like peak Bob but rightly don't get into the later stuff. Maybe I'm older and more bitter now, but these songs hit.
I get not looking twee but I don't get all the negative reviews from people who never listened to it. With a list this dense, you're going to get overly ambitious twee albums that are more concept than content. I've listened to this a few times in my life and it is a slog to get through. There's a few songs I actually like and listen to on their own but this album, I feel, is mostly remembered for it's length. Had this been just a 45 minute album called love songs, it would've vanished into the twee ether. It's not all that bad, just mostly unmemorable songs.
This is what I got into in high school a good thirty five years later. It does have that optimistic, swaggering quality to it that makes glam rock so identifiable.
This is so overblown and unessential. I'm fine with 70s rock and all but this is just like, nonsense. It's not great, it's not ambitious, it is a product of it's time but that's why the album versions are on this list. This is something the classic rock station plays on Sunday nights to cut costs.
It's so forgettable that I keep forgetting I'm listening to it. It's like being trapped in Walgreens or some off brand department store.
Classic album. Loved it .
