Popular Reviews

Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi

This album came out when I was 12. It was cool and I was not. It also made me feel happy at an age when not much else did. By that measure alone it is a powerful album. Is it good music? It still makes me happy when not much else does. That's an unqualified yes. 5/5

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash

A couple amazing songs. The rest was a little to heavy on high pitched electric guitars for my tastes. The singling felt a little off too, but sometimes that's endearing.

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Mar 05 2025

Very 80s. A handful of fun popular songs. Otherwise unremarkable

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan

would vote 3.5. It's very good, maybe just not as much to my taste

Who's Next by The Who
Feb 10 2026

For about 20 years of my life I would have given this 5/5 no problem. Listening to it now, there is simply too much going on. It is jarring to me even though it is very familiar. If I didn't have memories of liking this album, I would give it 1/5. I'll give it 2/5 for the history.
