They were very good. It's a shame they banged each other and ruined the duo. The downside was my mum kept trying to sing along
More like Cheers for fears - songs for a big cheer and because whoop whoop this is class
It's a cold October day in 1984, you're driving down to the South of England. You rummage through the unfamiliar car and find a tape from 4 years before and you put it in. You finally see the sign for Brighton as the end of Happy Death Men plays. A fitting song.
Not my favourite album by her but IT'S ALRIGHT
A really strong first half but it really dips near the end. just like the bands trajectory.
A full extra star for Helplessly Hoping
Very enjoyable, weird I never knew of them considering they're like proto-post rock. I'll enjoy listening to it again
Alot more mellow than I expected it to be. I never gave Black Sabbath a proper listen really
The "North American scum-someone Great-all my friends" run of songs is unbelievable
I think Guns N Roses mostly suck but they do have some bangers
Not bad but I feel like this same album has been done better. Some nice guitar work.
We were driving through the hills in Albania and this was class music for it. I was bombing down the mountain to stairway to heaven
A bit of the same but fun and short
I really enjoyed this. 3 stars is harsh but 3.5
Some pipes on your wan. Not my favourite songs by her but definitely an interesting album
I actually thought this was going to be one of those albums where it's like "yeh OK they're one of the OGs and they made new paths but now it's a bit dated and boring" but I really enjoyed it entirely. I listened to it a few years ago on the actual autobahn and I was way too stressed out to enjoy it. I hate not having half stars because 4 is a wee bit too high.
I liked this when I was young and there's still some good songs and it was important 25 years ago but I'm going to rate it through modern lens
I enjoyed this alot, I think this Ozward Ozbourne is going places
Pure class, I wanted to crash the car and shoot a fascist (RIP CK)
Not a bad listen but definitely not my favourite clash songs
It was nice but ronan said it was a solid 4.4 so I went in with high expectations. IT WAS NOT
Good background music, each song was different enough!
It's been years since I listened to this album and it was great revisiting it. I really enjoyed it.
American Pie is a banger and the rest of the album is quite nice. A decent listen
I started calling everyone toots and it made me want to go on the sesh in a weird way
Probably a 2.5, I was kinda dreading listening to this album and held it off but it was alright
I used to really like this but listening back I wasn't that fussed.
Could not be arsed with them. Not terrible, it's just that everything they ever done was done better by someone better.
I got very bored of this. Took like 3 days to finish. Sorry pal
Forgot how many bangers they have. Still very toothless for a Derry band nevermind 70s Troubles punk, which is impressive in its own right.
I thought this was class. You can clearly tell where Nirvana got their influences. Some ripping guitar.
I loved this album but I feel like they're slowly becoming cringe, but it was entertaining me and it was long. I think it'd be a 3.5 really. 3 is harsh
I appreciate this and the bizarre lyrics are great but sometimes the chamber pop aspect is a bit too much for me.
This was better than I expected, some bops
Not my favourite REM album but still very good and I would listen to it again
I think Prince is overrated. Not bad by any stretch but still overrated.
How haven't I heard this before? I enjoyed it
I don't know what to think of this so I'm giving it 2
This was so nice. I love long songs and I never heard these before. I'll listen to this again
This loses a full star because Butler was a creep.
Unreal guitar but Mustaves voice annoys me. Peace Sells rips though.
I expected not to like this but I recognised pretty much all of the songs and enjoyed it more than I should.
Nostalgia will not let me give this anything less than a 5.
I liked this, very underground dindgy vibes
This was a fun little number
3 seems low but 4 is too high. But I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Good lad for having a song called PLO style
Pj Harvey is the queen and I'll forgive her for supporting fox hunting
I thought I'd like this more due to the trip hopness off it but I wasn't arsed to listen to it
Class. I love the absolute jarring change of tone from the title song to the 2nd song.
I thought this would suck but I was enticed by the use of the flute.
I enjoyed this. Some bangers. It's the baseline of what I enjoy but doesn't fully scratch an itch. 3.5* in reality
I'm not really into Elvis Constello but I also can't help but enjoy the songs at the same time?
I owe you an apology ABBA, I wasn't familiar with your game
It's alright, easy listening. I like SFAD a lot so it gets an extra wee bit
I was dreading this and I was right to.
My favourite album by them. Some melodies.
I'm pretty sure my mum told me I'm conceived to this album which is maybe why I have a soft spot for it. Title track, we will not be lovers, world party. All class. I like the sweet thing cover aswell. 3 1/2
I have a lot of time for her. Probably 3.5
I like some of her songs but not really on this album. I didn't hate it.
I actually don't think they're good
Not my favourite Bowie album but very consistent and a classic. Andy Warhol is one of my favs
Pulp are good craic to be fair
Class. Nostalgia does some carrying though
I like king crimson but this isn't it
It was alright. The guitar absolutely ripped.
I liked that. Great music to have on when I don't know what to listen to. Probably a high 3.
I like Nicos voice but she's better off in a group than going solo, the wee nazi
It was nice for a quiet morning. A bit nostalgic.
Never rated them that much. Not terrible
I actually never really give early Beatles a chance but yeh fair enough
Yeh alright, it probably slapped in the 60s
Pyramids is such a belter. Great album
Not my favourite Pj Harvey album but still good
I had a good time listening to this. 3.5
If I played instruments I wouldn't have done that
Wasn't terrible. A high 2.
That was pretty decent. Never heard of these dudes but expected some shite country music but was happily proved wrong
I liked it but Amy didn't. I bet it's good on headphones
Proto-nirvana. Class though.
I thought this was going to be heavy metal and not beach boys. Alright though
Since I've Been Loving You in such a good song that this album is bumped up to a 4
I remember not liking this that much after elephant as a teen but that's obvious now because it's definitely a much more mature album and I was a wee soft child. I really liked it and while it doesn't have the same level of bangers it just showcases how strong they were.
This was nice. Really chill and well produced. I enjoyed it
Perfectly fine. But I think it's overrated
I was obsessed with this when I first moved to Manchester so it's up there for me even if he does look like a sleep paralysis demon
Some nice bits. Not unpleasant by any means
I know this is supposed to be one of their best but it only has a few songs that are actually worth it. It's not a bad listen overall.
A bit too long but nice. No real standouts.
Way too long. Some bops, but if it was half the length I'd give it a 3
Fair enough Beatles, you were pretty good
I used to hate them when I was 13 but I went in with an open mind and disregarded my younger self because I had just discovered Radiohead and the Mars Volta and therefore was insufferable. My teenage self may have been pretentious but he was still insightful. Shite. An extra point since it was quite short.
This was fucking class. I really enjoyed it
Radiohead always gets 5 stars. It's not their best album but still has some of their best songs. Thoms voice is incredible in this. Bones is underrated.
Pretty decent, never been a fan but I wasn't bored. I like that they have a song that's Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden on the album Iron Maiden
I love new order but this album isn't my favourite. 3.5
Edit: I got technique and this mixed up. This is unreal.
It was decent, I enjoyed it especially after that Black Crowes shite
This actually surprised me, I expected to hate it but it was alright.
I wonder if he's ever smoked a joint
I actually quite like them but this kind of sucks. Lsd is likely required
It gets samey but a good listen
I was happy to get a bit ethnic in here
Some good bits but I kind of zoned out
A great album with some of the best Beatles songs but loses a star for some filler. 3.5
I'm such a sucker for 80s synths and this is no exception.
5 stars no notes. I also listened to the B sides like man O war and pearly because I want more. I also listened to the unfinished version of Nude because that's also amazing. OK I had loads of notes
I'm extremely bias because when it came out I would look out the window of the steamy Manchester bus, listening to this on my broken iPod that needed me to hold the aux cable way too hard, and hope that a Zoey Deschannel manic pixie dream girl would see me and think I was mysterious and break my heart.
Class album except Moonchild which is shite. Great cover. Fuck Gary
I'm ashamed that I haven't really listened to a lot of them but I they're definitely good.
I never knew they were supposed to sound like this. Decent enough
This has been on my rotation for about 25 years at this point so it has to get a 5. Territorial Pissings blew me away when I was a kid and it's still on most of my playlist.
Flumes makes me want to abuse my body. When they're good, they're amazing. Cba with a lot of the slower stuff
That was fucking unreal. That 80s brooding synth just gets me in the giblets
Great album, the ambience bit was a nice touch. Maybe I wouldn't be in the mood for this album some days but today I am
