Brilliant

Love the first track and the unique use of mandolin. It’s unusual to hear that kind of gentle sound in rock context.

Incredible arrangements, so many changes and colours and moods

Cool blend of synths and guitars. Sounds very 80s, but I can tell how this album influenced a few artists who came after.

Funk, blues, jazz and everything in between.

Never knew I needed Irish folk punk, but this was fun. Not something I’d listen to on daily basis, but it was a curious new experience.

First time hearing this album, but easily one of my favourite new era rock albums along with Wolfmother and The Hives. Love it.

Very cool. First time hearing it. Can understand why Radiohead is so popular.

Beautifully mixed album. Light low end, but so crisp and clear. Not my usual listening, but an interesting experience non the less.

What a classic

Love the guitar sound. Somehow the album sounds more dated than nirvana even though I can feel the era in the sound

Weird and unique

I love Bjork, I think she’s so unique and creative and smart, but this album, I wouldn’t call it pleasurable listening for me. It’s more like curiosity listening. I’m interested in the ideas, but I need to be in the right sort of mood to listen through the whole thing.

Very cool, layered 80s sound. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I think I just love the sound of this era, the brass and strings arrangement, the warm vocals and soft drums and the dramatic and melancholic chord changes. Loved this album.

Still not a fan. I was always a fan of Dan the Automator and Del, but gorillaz just never did it for me. I feel like it’s kind of neither here nor there. I don’t hate it. It’s just mostly kind of boring.
