Awesome album that got pounded into my brain while working stick at Sam Goody. Can’t stand the singles off this any more due to overexposure but there’s great tracks on it still.

I can tell from the first few seconds of this that I found a new thing for me to get into

Good songs. First 2 are the standouts. The rest are kind of the same bluesy longing with banjos and saloon pianos and slide guitars. Pleasant to listen too.

Amazing singer and songwriter. I have no idea how he wasn’t on my radar before this.

What am I gonna say about this one? Stone cold classic. There aren’t enough stars to rate this one properly.

It’s Sam Cooke. For the love of God my opinion on this shouldn’t sway anyone to listen to it. The Swedes hand Sam Cooke albums out as part of their baby bundles so their children will know greatness from day one.

Great album. A couple of true bangers on there

This album is something I’d play in the background of my high end party in my penthouse. Good sounding but nothing to make me need to listen again.

If you were there, you know. I was never a fan but it is classic and liked listening to it again.

I swear to God if this album doesn’t do it for you on any level you’re dead inside and need professional help. Sir Duke is just what you’re supposed to do with horns. I Wish is the other thing you do with horns. There’s a problem with the rating system here as I only see 5 stars that I can give this album.

Straight up the middle Dolly Parton. It’s exactly what you think it would be. Two thumbs up.

Pretty good. Very modern sounding for 1982.

The man is an amazing producer. I just don’t get the hype though. His lyrics are crass without any real poetry to them. I guess it’s just not my thing.

The WHO is a band that enjoys the smell of their own farts.

Classic in new grunge psychedelic rock. She is strong enough to fight them.

Not their best overall, but the second half is nothing but bangers. Still better than most.

Top 5 rock album of all time

Ultra classic cowboy country. An absolute must listen!

Not my fav. Jean Geanie is the hit but it’s all typical, right down the middle of the road Bowie. That’s fine if you’re a Bowie super fan but it’s no Spiders or Let’s Dance.

Super duper classic hardcore/punk. If you heard of Fugazi, listen to this first.

Super early ambient rock(?) very enjoyable. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

This is a lovely sounding album. Rainy day, plop it on the turn table and stare out the window. Craft beer, table top game with some close friends, no drama. No single song stands out, though. If one come on when shuffle play is enabled you’re not turning it off, but you’re probably not seeking any of them out.

Reminds me of the Buzzcocks. Amazingly good British punk in the old school sense.

Good atmospheric tunes. Nothing mind blowing but good none the less.

Perfect for early 80s moody teenagers looking to goth out all night in their bedrooms

If you need my review of Abbey Road to convince you to listen to it, you’re already lost.

This album rubs you down with scented oils before making sweet, sweet love to you. Sixty percent of the time, it works every time.

Good electro

One of my all time favorites to come out of the mini mod scene in the 90s. A little filler but mostly killer. Great for a nice drive.
