1001 Albums Summary

A return to a great record. Its difficult to not feel that the time for "21st century schizoid man" has only really come in the present. In all it's proggy glory, In The Court Of The Crimson King is full of hooks and instantly memorable melodies.

Quite enjoyable, not as minimalist as Either/Or that I had previously listened to a couple of time. Still haven't taken the time to go into the lyricism more deeply.

Very energetic, but also calmer gems in here. Loved listening on Headphones.

Like it for what it is.

A classic that I Love

My first time listening to a full Marilyn Manson Album. It didn't do very much for me.

Big throwback to playing a burned CD of this in high school. Burial is such a great track. I like the whimsy Tosh tracks less.

Ok, on the record that features "Love fool", I did not expect multiple instances of Sabbath worship! Outside of the well known hit, this record is packed with hooks and bits of cool lines.

Paying attention to this reveals a lot of finely crafted melodies. It's also not produced in an overly clean fashion like some of the following folk rock of the nest decade will be.

I think this is quite well regarded. To me this production never really works, feels like a collage of layers more than a track often. Probably I am missing some musical context.

really been wanting to get into thin lizzy for a while and this was great. the area between classic rock and metal (i.e. hard rock) was always something I stayed clear off, but this really catches me with great, not overdone musicianship and cool lyrics

As often, coming from the next Millenium the records sound less psychedelic than the cover art suggests to todays ears. Pretty cool though

generally didn't enjoy this too clean and too stadium sound. The only tracks that do it right are the first two. Got Me Under Pressure in particular finds a great groove and electromechanic sound using, I think, a synth bass
