Enjoyed listening to the whole of this album, I have sound + vision single from this album, funnily enough I’ve just read a Biography of Bowie

I find Coldplay very middle of the road, I liked “ yellow” when it came out, but do not have any Coldplay in my collection, the albums ok, but 5hats it.

Not listened to the whole of this album for many years - chance now to put that right! Very good album - Singing along to songs I’d not heard for ages

Loved Mr Soul the opening track, psychedelic- good track, the rest of the album was ok, not much happening, but I do like this error of music, brought us so much more great music!

I do love Dylan’s early stuff, and have quite a few CDs, not heard this particular album before, really enjoyed it - music’s so pure- so bluesy

Well, what a surprise this album was, never been into Bruce, but I absolutely loved this album, played it twice in. Row, and have added to my collection - love the stories in the songs.

Another surprise, never heard this one in 1981, and I was well into the Ramones, Dolls, Heartbreakers etc - good to hear some post punk

Funny this one, my sister had it back in the 70s, far too tame for me, over the years though it grew on me, I do love “Dreams”, listened last night to the whole album

Some excellent tracks on here that have spanned mine and my kids generations, “Fit but you know it” and “dry your eyes” master class in writing 💥

One of my favourite albums ever, saw them twice on the “Meat is Murder” tour, I still have the programme from the Ipswich gig - “Well I wonder” and “Barbarism begins at home” marvellous- Morrissey’s lyrics, amazing.

Other than the hits on here, album stuffers, I liked the 2 early madness albums, but this is a decent effort

The name always reminds of the French kids show on TV from the late 60s…..the album is ok, song are so similar though, easy listening though, nice background music

This is possibly in my top 10 albums of all time, so raw, and meaningful at the time, “A certain romance” is an all time favourite- Alex Turner at his best - both lyrically and poetic - masterpiece 🤩

A couple of outstanding tracks on here, but I thought I’d enjoy it more, as I do like my hip-hop, maybe I’ll give it another spin, as it’s so highly rated around

This is one of my favourite albums ever, played so many times, “ where is my mind” - stand out, screeching guitar- Kim Deal, Black Francis, I saw the Poxies in 89, and 90 - great gigs🙌

On first hearing it, I thought what an odd album to make the 1001, but I’ve listened Again this morning, and it reminds me a bit “Moby” mixed with country vibes, quiet got into it actually 👍

Excellent album, not heard it recently- I think I might buy it today as it’s so good - one of the best albums from the 80s - reminds me of T Rex, but the gravel voice and manic guitars from the Reid brothers makes this album sensational 🎸

I bought this album a few years ago, I had been into Nirvan from when I heard them on “The Word” all those years ago, I played this album again yesterday, most of the songs I love, loved Kurtz songwriting, great 3 piece band.

It’s difficult to not like a Neil Young album, and this one didn’t disappoint- you know what’s coming, and you can’t help yourself - the band are so tight, Neil’s voice still strong.

My 2nd favourite Bowie album behind “Hunky Dory”, ziggy is a masterpiece- I have my original copy on vinyl, five years beautiful- Starman, that’s what he was a “Star” man, Bowie was the 1st true icon in British music🙏🏼

This is my favourite album ever!! 1978 was a pivotal year in my musical history, 18 years old, and this album really moved me, I still play regularly- I can sing along to every song, the trio ; Weller, Foxton, Buckler absolutely superb - ripping through the songs, then slow it down, English rose, and fly, the classic - down in the tube station, A - bomb, to be someone, all classic Jam songs - outstanding album.

The only song I liked on here was “ North American scum”, other than that - Nothing…..

I know the 3 songs that charted way back when Cyndi hit the charts, but I’ve never been into her music, time after time is the best song on here, but not my thing….

Really good to hear this album again, I had it many years ago, and saw them in 1978, with The Cure as support! So many good tracks on here

I do really like Stevie Wonder albums from the 70s but not particularly this one, other than “ Boogie on reggae woman” bit disappointing tbh

My daughter and I listened to this yesterday evening, not sure that I like it, it goes on and on through the various names of songs, maybe at. Festival this might be better?

I grew up listening to Dave Brubeck, so I’m familiar with most of his works, my Father is now 89, and I have him to thank for my love of Jazz from the 1950s and 60s, and these tunes are timeless🥰

This was far too long, and I didn’t play it all, but it was ok as background music,

I only got into Neil Young 15 years ago, but then bought a lot of his albums including this little beauty

Wow! I absolutely loved this one, Dr John/Beastie boys/ Red hot chilli peppers/ Dylan, blues, hip hop, funk, jazz Right up my street, I’ll buy this - stand out track “ Garbage man”

I’d never listened to this Bowie album before, I like the cover, cool - sounds in places like “ Black Star” which I love, there’s a couple of excellent tracks on here - “Where are we now” and “Heat”

I really wanted to like this outing, as I read up before listening, folk, trad, Indian, sitar, but the voice on these tracks unfortunately I didn’t like, could been so much better, but I suppose in the 60s this was “wild”

Tori Amos - I get is an excellent musician, but not much on here for me.

Lovely album, at the end of their time, not to play any of these live as The Smiths, I just read Mike Joyce’s’ book “The Drums”, he said this is his favourite album.

I get that he’s a great crooner, and I think if I’d have grown up with the Walker brothers, I might’ve liked him more, I did listen to it all.

I actually listened to all of this album, whilst Ironing on Sunday morning, it was ok, with her haunting voice, but not that I would listen again tbh

Wow! This album blew me away, and made me quite emotional whilst driving, what a Thing of Beauty.

I knew I’d like this album, as I have a few bits on CD, good to hear them at their earliest, some good tracks on here.

Well, I’d never heard of this band, and played it on a long car journey- 1st track a bit of nothing, but after that I quite enjoyed it!

I have quite a few Hendrix albums, but not this one, so,obviously some excellent stuff on here, plus a few songs I’d not heard before, Hendrix was a master, and I didn’t discover him till the early 80s - what a loss….

Hardcore hip hop at it finest - love them.

A bit too loud, as I do like my Punk, but didn’t really get into it, played a few more of their songs off other albums, but still not quite there for me

Great to hear “Tribe” again, excellent album, loved listening to the tunes

Enjoyed this little beauty, I bought “Birthday as. 7” single” when it came out, loved the 1980s alternative dance stuff

Well, this was a real mix up of stuff, but I have to say I did quiet enjoy it, “ Vermillion Kisses” ans “Miles” we’re my 2 standouts, for very different reasons

Interesting album, can’t quite put ,my finger on whether I liked it or not, I see from the write up on the band, it has inspired quite a few - 1968 seems like they were well ahead of their time.

Probably the greatest album ever🥰 Bowie at his absolute best on this one, early Bowie best for me - I love every song on here, still have my vinyl copy, that I played yesterday with all the crackles 🤩

Well, listening to this in the kitchen, sober is not the same as listening after drinking, or being high, so it’s a low score.

I love this album, so good to hear it again, Planet Claire is an all time favourite song, I could play along on bass guitar 🎸 I recently purchased the album again on vinyl

The best Smiths album, opening with “The Queen is dead”, excellent live and I was lucky to see The Smiths 4 times🙏🏼, I have my original gate hold vinyl, “I know it’s over”, “ There is a light that never goes out” all absolute Bangers - Morrissey, Marr, Rourke, Joyce, 🙌

Excellent album, I saw the Stranglers in 1978, when I was 17, and again in 2014, and they’re still going strong, JJB bass, Greenfield keyboards, Jet Black drums, and Hugh Cornwall vocals - 🙌

I liked a couple of songs on here, But they sound so much like radiohead, I thought I could hear Tom Yorke😂

Some classic songs on this one, never been into MJ, but obviously highly talented, and misunderstood in most circles, but j His talent as a singer is clear.

Beautiful David Bowie, excellent album whilst taking a walk yesterday, tears as I walked knowing David was leaving us and this was his parting gift to the world🙏🏼🫶🏽

Decent enough album, with 2 bangers, shout, and rule the world, the band passed me by in 1985, as other Indie bands took over my airwaves.

I’ve never liked SR, or for that matter Mick Hucknall, not really into any white soul either, so no different here.

I got into this album on the 1st song, which I knew. But didn’t know it was D…..loved the Indian sitar songs, took me back to my parents in the 1960s, amazed to see he’s still alive🙌

Love Birdland, but the rest of the album was a bit of a mish\ mash

I’ve always loved this album, so different to anything I’d heard before in 1994, I bought it the day it came out took it home and played it non stop whilst painting rooms in a house we’d bought in the London suburbs- “ I just want to be a woman” from Glorybox……this album is perfection with excellent samples.

I was turning 16 and finding life tough going, but then Punk happened, I heard “Anarchy”, bought the 7” single, “Pretty vacant” 7” I still have, and I have my original vinyl of “Never mind”. The Pistols were something completely different, and I loved it -after all that prog rock shit.

Listening to this yesterday with my daughter, couldn’t get the volume right, then the 1st track blasted out after a quiet start, she said “ what the hell are you listening to”😂 Not my favourite PJH album, but a decent listen

I was never into ABBA back in the 70s, but understand this was a great album in the UK, and I can still sing along to a lot of this album as it was played so much on the radio back then

Another early punk album, the adverts, they came, they saw, they left, Gary Gilmore eye, classic, ( The Executioners song)

Probably the best a manic album, never really got into them, but have seen live at Latitude festival

So so from Neil Young, the 1st one that is not up to his high standard

The album was bordering on being good, however, with country I do prefer a female voice.

Um, not sure why this is in the top 1001, it’s ok, but what’s the special factor??

Absolutely loved this album, so raw and energetic, plenty of covers, but “Have love, will travel”, what a banger. 29 min, 20 secs of Joy

This is an excellent little album, I’m not keen on any other Willie Nelson stuff that I’ve heard, but I do like this one
